Winner at the Motor Boat & Yachting (MBY) 2022 Motorboat Awards for best Flybridge over 60ft – The Princess Y72 is designed in collaboration with naval architects Olesinski and Italian design house, Pininfarina, the Y72 features the very latest in Princess exterior design and interior finishes. With beautifully sculpted exterior forms, she is fitted with expansive full-length hull windows. Finished to high standards throughout, the all-new Y72s design features are comparable to those of larger Y Class yachts. Her spacious saloon has a sociable layout with a bar area and open plan galley, complemented by a multi-zone Naim audio system.

Forward on the lower deck, six guests can enjoy three beautifully appointed guest cabins filled with light from the full-length hull glazing. A dedicated staircase leads from the main deck to the full-beam owner’s stateroom amidships, via a private lobby area connected to the saloon. The sophisticated owner’s stateroom is furnished with a sofa, dressing area and vanity desk wrapped and stitched in Livorno Stone leather for a contemporary finish. Luxurious surroundings exude from the owner’s stateroom with architecturally inspired feature panels, fresh linen wallcoverings and a bronze tint mirror to compliment the scheme. Snowbird has 3 elegant staterooms and welcomes up to 13 guests cruising and up to 6 guests sleeping onboard, making it an excellent choice for any type of celebration! Additional open flybridge makes the yacht so much more open and spacy. Master stateroom comes with a King bed, the VIP room hosts a Queen bed, and the Twin has two twin beds. Very comfortable for a family or friends getaway with overnight stay.

What this boat offers

Things to know.

• We do not allow pets on our charters.
• As a general rule do not bring anything that may damage or stain Yacht upholstery. This includes, but is not limited to, red wine, self-tanning lotion/bronzer, dyed wigs, and denim.
• For everyone’s safety, we do not allow any device with an open flame on our charters. This includes BBQ equipment and Hookah.
• An early drop-off (mid-charter trips to dock) is subject to a $150 fee.
• Smoking is limited to the swim platform.
• There is a limit of 13 guests per trip. This is a coast guard law, it is illegal to have more than 13 guests on the yacht regardless of age.

The craft has been cleaned according to rigorous COVID 19 protocols.

Cancellation Policy

You will receive a 50% credit if you cancel more than 7 days prior. Cancellations in the case of a named storm will be refunded fully.

42m Neta Marine superyacht Princess Melda launched in Turkey

Turkish shipyard Neta Marine has launched a 41.5-metre superyacht named Princess Melda . Delivery is scheduled before the end of 2024, after which she will be available for charter along the Aegean and Mediterranean coast.

Construction began in 2007 under the project name Alia, before being put on hold. Work then resumed in 2021 in Bodrum, Turkey. Exterior design is owed to Guido De Groot , with naval architecture by Martin de Jager .

Accommodation is across six cabins, including two "master cabins", two VIP double cabins and two twin cabins. Measuring 84 square metres, the master cabin on the upper deck features a balcony with a seating area, space for sunbathing and a Jacuzzi. There are further quarters for nine crew. While imagery is undisclosed, interiors have been outfitted in light shades of oak wood for a "refreshing" feel.

A highlight is the flybridge, which has been arranged with a sunbathing area, another Jacuzzi and a bar – though guests can also congregate on the three-metre swim platform and the hydraulic platform on the starboard side, which can be lowered and used as a balcony.

Powered by twin MTU engines, Princess Melda can reach a maximum speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. Other key numbers include a 8.4-metre beam and a draft of 2.4 metres.

Over 20 years after Princess Diana’s tragic death, the scene of one of her final photos has now met its own demise.

A yacht that Princess Diana used as her so-called “love boat” with Dodi Al-Fayed has sunk. 

Called Cujo, the yacht reportedly developed a hole after it struck an unidentified object off Beaulieu-sur-Mer on the French Riviera, according to the Times of London . 

Cujo’s owner is an Italian with a home on the Riviera.

Seven people were on board at the time of the accident, but they were rescued and unharmed.

The yacht sank and is at the bottom of the Mediterranean. 

“The skipper of the Cujo issued a mayday,” local police said , according to the Daily Mail. “His ship was sinking due to a leak. Rescue boats were sent from Antibes and, after making sure everyone was safe, gendarmes detected a significant water leak at the level of the starboard front hull. Her owner had activated the pumps and kept the engines running, but this didn’t stop the boat sinking.”

Cujo became famous in 1997 when Diana was photographed on board with her millionaire film producer boyfriend, Fayed – just a few weeks before their fatal car crash in Paris on Aug. 31, 1997. 

The couple’s photos on the luxury boat were their first pictures together. Those photos sparked the tabloid furor around Diana and Fayed.

A photo of Diana on the boat was one of the final images taken before her death at 36.

According to the Times of London, the yacht was built in Italy in 1972 for John von Neumann, a businessman who made his fortune selling Porsche and Volkswagen cars. After von Neumann, Cujo was then owned by the son of arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi, before it ended up in the hands of his cousin, Fayed. 

Fayed moored the yacht off St-Tropez, where he hosted the rich and famous – such as Brooke Shields , Clint Eastwood, and Diana. 

After Fayed’s death, the yacht fell into disrepair and sold at auction to its current owner for $250,000 in 2020. 

French reports imply that Cujo was not in good condition at the time it sank, and regularly had maintenance problems. 

Diana’s death will controversially be depicted in the sixth and final season of Netflix’s hit royal drama, “The Crown.” Khalid Abdalla will play Fayed . The season premiere is slated for sometime this fall.

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s first meeting and early days will also be depicted.
