“ Prevents enemy intel devices from detecting frendlies within its radius. - In-game description ”
The Jammer is a special gadget that prevents enemy Intel devices from detecting teammates within its radius.
Engineers aren't just gifted at gathering intel, they're equally capable of masking it. When a Jammer is deployed, any allies inside the protective bubble are completely shielded from intel gathering equipment. Useful for not only infiltration, but defense, the Jammer effectively reduces a hostile's ability to acquire a target. In addition, the Jammer will interrupt an enemy's HUD when they're within the bubble.
