  • Trivia Stephen Macht (Professor Gerrard) is the real-life father of Gabriel Macht (Harvey Specter). Gabriel Macht 's inspiration to become a producer in the series (and take control in areas such as casting department) came when he was watching Whose Line Is It Anyway? (2009) , a comedy show where the actor and singer Gustavo Goulart is responsible for many departments at the same time. Macht noticed that it gave a special mark to the project, so he decided to take more control of his series too.

Harvey Specter

Harvey Specter

Character analysis.

(Avoiding Spoilers)

Grew Up… poor. Harvey was 16 when he first caught his mom cheating on his dad. Harvey knew of his mother’s repeated infidelities during the two years leading up to his parents’ divorce, and remained silent about them to protect his father. While still a young man working in a firm’s mailroom, Harvey met Jessica Pearson, his future boss and colleague. After managing to impress Jessica with his initiative, cunning, and negotiating abilities, she offered to send him to Harvard Law, all expenses paid.

Living… in luxury. The bank account of a high-powered lawyer in New York City allows for some high-expense fun and games.

Profession … attorney, and the self-proclaimed “best closer in New York city” – though others sometimes proclaim it too. It’s undeniable that Harvey is good at what he does. With raw talent, encyclopedic knowledge of the law, and unorthodox methods, Harvey never fails to amaze. He can improvise where he needs to, and even his working principle of “keep pressing till it hurts” isn’t industry-standard. Harvey’s most daring move is hiring a new associate, Mike Ross, who isn’t even a college graduate never mind a Harvard Law alum, but is incredibly smart in both the “book” and “street” senses.

Interests… poker, the higher the stakes the better. Harvey likes cars too, and is known to drive a Bentley, an Aston Martin, a Mercedes, a Lexus, and a vintage Mustang. In high school he enjoyed playing baseball, and played it well. The trait that links Harvey’s passions is that he’s a competitor, in and out of the boardroom.

Relationship Status… single. He’s capable of charm, but incapable of commitment. Harvey is a carouser, using his affability and charisma to seduce any woman who captures his fancy. He makes a point of not sleeping with married women, but as a pragmatic concern rather than a moral stance; he likes to avoid unnecessary complications. One of the serial hook-ups that he carries on is with Dana Scott, a rival from Harvard Law against whom he still competes in court.

Challenge…  caring about more than just himself. Perhaps due to childhood trauma, Harvey makes a point of depending on no one and getting his fulfilment from ambition, material success, and expression of his own worth. Harvey’s challenge is to move beyond the sarcasm and wit that characterize an ironic attitude toward existence and learn what it means to have responsibility to others. If he can’t find a way to base his happiness on more than winning for himself – and admit it – then he may remain alone forever.

Personality… narcissistic, egotistical, and driven. As he admits, “I’m not about caring, I’m about winning.”

A few years ago, she was pressured by a client to release his son out of rehab so he could attend his mother's funeral. Suits Is Finally Introducing Harvey's Mom, Here's Who Will Play Her

suits harvey specter synchronsprecher

Suits ' Harvey Specter has been a formidable force as a lawyer from the very beginning, but he's never exactly been the picture of emotional health. Some of his deepest levels of dysfunction can be traced back to his relationship with his mother was he was a teen, and a couple of decades haven't been enough to heal old wounds. Soon, Harvey will get another chance at closure when Suits finally introduces the mysterious Lily Specter, and we know who will tackle the role: Brynn Thayer of One Life to Live fame.

Although Lily Specter has been mentioned often enough on Suits , she hasn't appeared in the flesh to interact with her adult son over the years. We really only know his side of the story, and the way Harvey tells it, he was only 16 years old when he caught his mom cheating on his dad. To spare his father's feelings, Harvey kept quiet about Lily's affairs. Lily eventually left the family after a couple of years anyway, and Harvey has never recovered.

On the plus side, Harvey's mother sleeping around gave him a no-tolerance policy for people who cheat on their significant others. On the down side, he's been emotionally stunted on the maternal front for years, and those issues have re-emerged with a vengeance in the wake of Jessica Pearson's departure from the Pearson Specter Litt law firm. In the midseason premiere, Donna told Harvey that he needs to make things right with his mom, and the casting of Brynn Thayer as Lily is proof that we'll soon see them attempt such a reckoning.

Brynn Thayer is best known for her work on ABC's daytime soap opera One Life To Live , where she played a character named Jenny for seven years from 1979 to 1986; she reappeared on the series one more time to reprise the role in 2002. She joined the legal drama Matlock in 1991, playing Leanne McIntyre for three years on primetime. Thayer returned to soaps for roles on General Hospital in 1994 and Days of Our Lives in 2011. More recently, she nabbed guest spots on shows like How to Get Away with Murder , Castle , and The Fosters .

All things considered, Brynn Thayer could be the perfect person to bring Lily Specter to life. She has experience in just about every genre that has ever been touched upon by Suits , and she's a TV veteran. Luckily, we don't have to wait too long to see how Thayer does in the role. TV Guide reports that Lily Specter will make her Suits debut in next week's episode.

Tune in to USA on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET to see what's next for Harvey, Mike , and all the rest on Suits in Season 6 , and don't forget to take a look at our midseason TV premiere schedule .

WORLD EXCLUSIVE: Harvey Specter spills the beans on the watches you’ve seen in Suits (and the timepiece Scarlett Johansson gifted him)

WORLD EXCLUSIVE: Harvey Specter spills the beans on the watches you’ve seen in Suits (and the timepiece Scarlett Johansson gifted him)

Harvey-Specter-Slider-good

Let’s take a leaf out of Harvey Specter’s playbook and get straight to the point in under six billable minutes. The brand new season of Suits premieres just a couple of hours from now, and Gabriel Macht, the Miami-based actor whose life and career has been transformed by his character in the hit legal drama, has never done an interview specifically on the subject of watches.

He has never been asked if the Patek Philippe 5004P he wore in Season 1 is real. He has never talked about his own idiosyncratic, sentimental collection. And he has never before confessed just how “sub-par” his gifting has been to fellow actors over the years. This is best illustrated by an anecdote in this story featuring Scarlett Johannson, a lovely vintage pocket watch and a disappointing scented candle.

But this is all about to change.

I interviewed Gabriel, live on stage in Melbourne a couple of years ago and it’s fair to say we hit it off. If a man could be better in the flesh than Specter on screen, somehow Macht achieves it. The charisma. The warmth. The smile. Sigh. So, when I got in touch to see if he’d be up for round two, with a watch flavour, before I could say ‘silk-wool blend’ (Harvey’s daily suiting choice), we were chatting on Voxer, him from the set of Suits in Toronto, me in Sydney. Here’s what happened. T+T: Firstly, what are you up to right now? GM: Well, I’ve just done a 15 hour day on set, and I’m fried. Sorry about my voice – you can probably hear I’m losing it.

T+T: And you’re talking to us? Ridiculous! In which case, let’s get to it. Tell me about your watch collection. GM: Nine years ago, we bought my father-in-law a Breitling Superocean, and it was the first watch he’d had that was a real luxury watch. Then when he passed, he left it to me. It’s a cherished memory, and for the past seven years I’ve hardly taken it off. It’s probably my most prized and dearest possession.

Gabriel-Macht-Breitling-superocean

T+T: How did you choose it for him? GM: He was a watch guy, and he probably had 150 watches – but all lower-end ones – and he loved tooling around with them. He’d open them up and put them back together. He also had grandfather clocks that he liked to work on. He always wanted one of those top-shelf watches, and Breitling was one he felt he could never afford. He was salt of the earth, a fire fighter for 33 years. Such a solid guy with amazing strength, in every way. He came from nothing and built a little empire, he and his wife. So that was a gift from Jacinda and I for his 70th birthday. And he completely broke down, it was so meaningful to him. It was one of the most beautiful moments of my life. I don’t want to be sappy about it, but it really is an emotional connection that I still have with him.

…that was a gift from Jacinda and I for his 70th birthday. And he completely broke down, it was so meaningful to him. It was one of the most beautiful moments of my life. I don’t want to be sappy about it, but it really is an emotional connection that I still have with him.

T+T: That’s beautiful. So, your watch was originally bought for a much older man. Does it suit you both? GM: I think it does suit us both. It’s strong, it’s bold but it’s not in your face. I like the black face. It’s got a nice weight to it. It just feels right. I also have an old 1970s Omega, which was another of my father-in-law’s watches, which he gave to me. It was a surprise. Jerry was the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back.

Image via watchuseek.com

T+T: What do you know about the Omega? GM: The only thing I know is that it was from the early ’70s, which is when I was born, so I kind of like that we’re around the same age. It’s totally classy. It’s got a romantic vintage feel. And I like that Bond wears Omega. But I haven’t worn it in years because I tend to wear the Breitling. Part of that reason is because it allows me to feel close to him. He died almost eight years ago. I feel his presence. It’s very close to my heart.

T+T: What a lovely story. It’s going to be hard to beat that. But what else do you have in your collection? I also have a pocket watch that Scarlett Johansson gave me as a set gift for the film A Love Song for Bobby Long .

scarlett-johansson-gabriel-macht

T+T: Are set gifts a common occurrence? GM: Yes and no. It depends on the person. I think I gave her something like a scented candle – so definitely sub-par compared to her gift to me. And I felt terrible! I’m the worst gift giver. Daniel Craig gave Jacinda and I a mix tape for our wedding, and to this day I feel guilty about the gift I gave him. We worked on a film called Archangel and I was reading a book about Stalin for research on the era – and I gave him that because my suitcase was too heavy to bring back to the states.

T+T: Wow. You really are bad at gifts – well, apart from Jerry’s Breitling. So, how did you get into watches? GM: My first watch when I was a young kid was a Goofy watch – one of those cheapies you can buy on the street. You know – they’re rubber and they usually break within a day or two. That’s the oldest recollection I have. The next one I remember was in about fourth grade, I had a Casio calculator watch. My buddies and I would play stopwatch baseball. I know they don’t really play baseball in Australia, so probably none of this will make sense, but you’d press start and then stop it, and you as the batter would hope to land on 1:00 or 1:01, which would signify a home run. If you got a 1:02 to a 1:05, that signified a triple, and so on. Then you’d just have to remember who was on base.

T+T: Yep, we have no idea what any of that means. But keep going with your watch history. GM: Then I had my bar mitzvah in the mid-80s and everyone bought me Swatch watches. No joke – I think I got 13 Swatches of the same kind – the cool one at the time, which was the clear one, so you could see what was inside. I remember sitting around with my family opening presents and giving them away to my cousins – because what was I going to do with 13 watches? In my early twenties I got a Seiko with a blue face. Then it wasn’t until my early thirties that I got the Omega that Jerry gave to me. I also have an Apple Watch. I wear it a little bit here and there.

No joke – I think I got 13 Swatches of the same kind – the cool one at the time, which was the clear one, so you could see what was inside.

T+T: All your watches seem to have a story to them. Is that important to you? GM: I think what attaches me to watches is that there’s some connection – even the Swatch watches that make me think of my buddies, and girls I went to school with. Or the Omega and the Breitling with my father in law. I haven’t carried round my pocket watch, but there’s a story to that, about the history of the film and that time in my life. If a new watch came into my life, I can see how new stories would attach themselves to it from there.

Gabriel-macht-suits-3

If a new watch came into my life, I can see how new stories would attach themselves to it from there.

T+T: Is there a dream watch you’d love to own? GM: Honestly, I think it’s this Breitling – I’m the keeper for the long haul. So no, I don’t have a dream watch because it’s already there.

T+T: Speaking of dream watches, we’re dying to ask you about Harvey Specter’s Patek Philippe 5004P…  GM: You’re gonna hate me, but I think Harvey only wore a watch once, about five seasons ago, probably in season one. And the reason we have not put Harvey in a watch since then is because the suits look better without. As great as the show is, it really doesn’t lend itself to detail. Other than some necklaces you might see Jessica wear, you don’t see any jewellery. When I directed episode 4:11, I had Louis wear some wolf cufflinks, and I don’t even know if it made the final cut. So, Harvey does not wear a watch for that reason. With all the changes that we go through in a day – I change probably five suits a day – it became too much without enough success of getting those shots in. I hope you don’t kill me – but Harvey doesn’t wear a watch anymore.

Image via watchesinmovies.info

…the reason we have not put Harvey in a watch since then is because the suits look better without.

T+T: Was it real or a fake – like all the Pateks Ryan Gosling wore in Drive ? GM: I don’t know. Unlike the wardrobe department, the prop department never had a big budget. I’d be surprised if they had that sort of money.

GM: The 5004P seemed like the perfect choice for someone like Harvey. He’s successful, sharply-dressed in his Tom Ford suits and a baller with no budget – it adds up to a Split Seconds Chronograph Perpetual Calendar, doesn’t it? GM: Yes, it’s a good choice for Harvey because his dress and presentation is quite aware of itself. I could see a Patek being part of his arsenal to put someone off guard. But you know what: as it stands now in Season 6, the stakes have risen so high that getting Mike out of prison far supersedes Harvey’s ‘dress to impress’ motto.

Gabriel-macht-suits-2

…in Season 6, the stakes have risen so high that getting Mike out of prison far supersedes Harvey’s ‘dress to impress’ motto.

T+T: What other watches have you worn on film. GM: When I was in Behind Enemy Lines – a film I did with Owen Wilson and Gene Hackman, I wore a G-Shock, and I also had one of those in The Recruit with Colin Farrell and Al Pacino. I took that one from production. I had that for many years, and somehow the band broke, but I think I still have it somewhere.

T+T: A lame gift giver AND a thief. And we thought you were so nice. So, all of these watches – will you pass them on to your kids one day? GM: I absolutely will pass my watches onto my boy, Luca. If he wants to wear them, great. If he just wants to keep them as a memento of me, I’m fine with that too. And if he turns out not to be a watch guy, that’s alright. I’ll support him either way! And my daughter will get all of my wife’s beautiful jewellery.

T+T: Do you think watches will still be around when they’re grown up? GM: This is gonna sound cliche, but mechanical watches are absolutely timeless. It’s an art. On every level – luxury watches definitely provide a professional looking piece where you can tell the time, but more than that, they’re beautifully crafted and a lot of time and focus goes into building these objects. I’m blown away by that. Some of these companies have been going strong for hundreds of years, and I absolutely think they’ll be a part of our future. It’s funny – I’m directing an episode of Suits right now, episode 6:08, and the title as it stands is ‘Borrowed Time’. It signifies that we’re all running against the clock, the stakes are super-high, and if there’s any way to get out of the mess we’re in, we all have to run-and-gun-it to make it happen. It’s symbolic that I’m doing this interview with you while I’m directing this. And it’s thrilling. We’ll see if you spot any of the subtleties of the time motif in the piece, once you see it.

Macht-slider-5

T+T: How much longer are you filming? GM: We shoot the first 10 episodes till August – then we take a break and get back into it in September, until November. We’re shooting 16 episodes in total this season.

T+T: So, you haven’t finished making season six, and you’re going to air? GM: Correct – we air this week and it’s fast tracked to many countries. But yeah, I think maybe just the first three episodes are cut and edited and ready to go, and we’re still working on the rest. But they’ll be ready in time!

The USA Network show may be a legal drama, but what makes it more intriguing is Suits ' focus on the personal lives of its characters. While it started out tackling the professional relationships at Pearson Hardman, it eventually expanded its storytelling over the years, further delving into Harvey and his team's relationships outside of work. That included New York's best closer's often complicated love life.

Suits season 9 ended with Harvey and Donna getting married and moving to Seattle, but Korsh reveals on Twitter that it wasn't always the plan. Read his post below:

In his tweet, Korsh says that Abigail Spencer's Dana Scott was supposedly going to be Harvey's final romantic partner in Suits . However, that obviously didn't happen.

Why It Took So Long For Harvey To Be With Donna In Suits

Harvey and Donna's potential as a couple was clear from the get-go. They had great chemistry, which was why they worked well together. Despite Donna being Harvey's secretary, he usually treated her as an equal, allowing her to talk freely about any matter and call him out on his bad behavior. The pair were Suits ' take on the will-they/won't-they trope, although done in a subtler way - at least in the first few seasons of the legal drama.

From a storytelling perspective, there were also other factors that hindered Harvey and Donna's romance . The show's original romantic pairing was Mike and Rachel, and since their relationship was already complicated by external factors, Suits couldn't simultaneously develop another complex romance. This would have been too distracting and may have taken away from the show's primary premise as a legal drama. Once Mike and Rachel left, it opened up room for Suits to actively develop Harvey and Donna's relationship.

Narratively, it also didn't make sense for Harvey to jump into a relationship with Donna early on. He needed to go through significant character development in Suits to ensure that their relationship could actually work in the long run. Donna knew how closed-off Harvey could be, which would have been detrimental to any chance of sustaining a romance with him. Ultimately, Harvey and Donna's love story happened at the right time.

Harvey Specter: How To Dress Like The Sharpest Man On TV

Harvey Specter. For those in the know, it’s a name that conjures up a knowing nod of agreement among men and women alike: goddamn, that guy  looks good in a suit .

If you’ve seen any of the high-stakes legal drama,  Suits , (the clue is in the title; and yes, it’s the one that starred the Royal Family’s newest member), you’ll be familiar with the lead character’s oft-referenced, efficacious persona and swaggering good looks. Harvey Specter is the  James Bond  of the small-screen courtroom. He’s Don Draper for the Netflix era, and his witty one-liners are Instagram catnip for Monday morning motivational memes. “Sorry I can’t hear you over the sound of how awesome I am”.

When Harvey Specter walks into a room, he exudes authority and people listen; he wears  the best suits  because his suits are his uniform – his superhero cape, if you will – and are all a reminder of what exceptional, well-fitted tailoring can do for a man.

We all know that uniforms are aesthetically alluring. ‘All the nice girls love a sailor’, as the old military singalong goes, and just ask a marine. They’ll vouch for the reputation. But, a uniform also has the desired effect of purporting a sense of heroism and power, a dedication to a higher cause.

For us metropolis-dwelling civilians, Harvey Specter included, our closest adaptation is a flawless suit. A suit tailored with military precision and worn like a uniform is the armour for any man going into battle at 9am.

It’s this uniform approach that dictates many of the style cues of Harvey Specter’s suits. There’s a distinct lack of fuss, colour or accessories in his tailoring, reflective of his no-nonsense approach to business. He has established what works for him – a cut as sharp as his tongue, and he keeps variety to a minimum, saving surprises for his unsuspecting business adversaries. And no, Harvey Specter doesn’t do  business-casual . “People respond to how we’re dressed, so like it or not this is what you have to do.”

How To Dress Like Harvey Specter

For the most part, Harvey Specter opts for a classic business suit look, a two-piece with side vents and polished details such as a sharp close cut, peak lapels and flapped pockets. His shoulders are also usually ‘roped’, meaning there’s a strong overall shape and magnificent roll of firmness in the fabric at the sleeve head, creating a powerful but contemporary silhouette, perfect for his disarming persona.

To emulate the character off-screen,  buy a suit  that avoids exaggerating these proportions. That’s key if you want to keep it contemporary and dodge the city-slicker power-suit vibes, made famous by the 1980s Wall Street lot. The Harvey Specter way of dressing is very much in contrast to the now-dated look of extremely-wide lapels, heavy  pinstripes , braces, cutaway collars and statement socks. Of course, that look is still prevalent in certain corners of New York City and London, but it is (thankfully) becoming increasingly rare.

As for brands, Harvey Specter’s style is very much in line with that of Ralph Lauren (particularly the American giant’s Purple Label line) and early Tom Ford suits – which the character was known to wear in the show. His  sunglasses  too, are always simple, understated and by Tom Ford.

It’s important to compare his suit details with those of his whip-smart, young protégé, Mike Ross. A softer overall shape, notch lapels, relaxed shoulders, flatter fabrics, and a cut that’s not quite as form-fitting are all key signifiers of the quiet hierarchy and subtle differences these suits support.

Get The Look

The accessories.

Tailoring is easily over-accessorised, so it’s refreshing to see Harvey Specter adopt, at most, a clean, elegantly folded white  pocket square  on the odd occasion.

He tends to take a classic approach to fabric choices, opting for dark, high-twist worsted wools or wool-blends with a touch of silk for that extra nod to luxury. If there’s any pattern at all its shark-skin or a fine wider rope stripe – there’s no sign of window-pane or country tweeds here. He takes a timeless boardroom approach to the styling and colour palette of his ensembles with a mostly plain, monochrome selection, which again ensures his uniformity and formality remains intact.

If he opts for blue, it’s an elegant navy, not a brash cobalt hue. His default shirt choice is white, with a classic collar just long and wide enough to suit his  face shape , as well as barrel or subtle French cuffs with simple cufflinks. He’s also often seen in one of the all-time great tailoring combinations – that is the Cary Grant shark-grey suit with white shirt and black tie.

Do not let it be said that this is boring or safe. It takes a man who knows his look and is confident enough to be able to wear such simplicity to be able to pull it off.

But if there’s one critique of Harvey Specter’s look, it’s his tie choice: too much satin and a full Windsor knot, both of which date his look. The full Windsor shape is generally too large for most people’s collar and head size, and can cheapen the look of a tie – just ask Premier League footballers. Of course, you can see why the costume department opted for this  tie knot  on Specter as it serves to highlight his position as the top dog within the company. However, in the modern day, opt for a fabric with no sheen, save the silks for weddings – just your own, in fact – and a four-in-hand knot replete with a dimple is preferable.

Harvey Specter’s Best looks

Three-piece suit.

On the odd occasion Harvey Specter does throw on a three-piece, he will undoubtedly nail the look. This is thanks in no small part to his mantra of keeping an outfit simple, understated and not overcomplicating it with colour, fuss or too much styling.

A prime example of this comes in the form of a tonal combination of all-navy with a white shirt, and subtle lapel detail on the waistcoat – with the bottom button undone, of course. And when he removes his jacket and loosens the tie, he still looks pristine.

Eveningwear

There have been a few scenes where the Suits boys have suited up to the next level and donned black tie . As always, Harvey Specter is the benchmark of impeccable evening style, and while he could have used a cummerbund to avoid the white of his shirt showing at the waist, his look is more contemporary without one.

The diamond-point bow tie is a brilliant alternative detail, which he pairs perfectly with a classic buttoned dress shirt and signature silk peak lapels – a timeless, winning combination.

Winter Harvey

During the colder months, Harvey Specter’s layers are an extension of the great fitting suit he wears underneath. Befitting brisk New York mornings, he usually opts for a knee-length or three-quarter wool or cashmere winter coat , with peak or notch lapels in a dark navy, grey or black.

There’s a hint of styling in the form of a simple scarf worn loose or draped to follow the line of the lapel gorge, which sums up what Harvey Specter does best – keeping it classic but supremely cool.

The Suits of Harvey Specter

Posted: Aug 11 2013

It has been a while since I discovered a series that truly arrested my attention but when I first tuned in to Suits I was instantly captivated. It piqued my interest with witty dialogue, good character development and a fantastic wardrobe, all wrapped up in an excellent setting, albeit one that I usually find thoroughly dull, Law.

If you haven’t seen Suits, it is a captivating legal drama set in the heart of New York City at one of the city's most prestigious law firms. I found myself captivated by one particular character, Harvey Specter. An egotistical, uncompassionate and yet charismatic Harvard graduate who will do whatever it takes to win. He emits an aura of professionalism and superiority which is largely created by his dialogue but is backed up by a formidable wardrobe. If you would like to adopt a power suit like Harvey Specter then read on!

Harvey Specter Suit

Part of the show that I found really interesting was how the wardrobe backs up the character. How the suits Harvey wears help to create the persona or aura that he exudes. Isn’t that part of the reason we wear suits? Isn’t it all about perception? The perception of Harvey Specter as being one of the best lawyers in town is created in part through his suits, the majority of which feature extra wide peaked lapels and classic white shirts with cutaway collars. But let’s dive in a bit deeper and see how Tailor On Ten can get you that Harvey Specter look.

Suit No. 1 is probably our favourite of the Harvey Specter power suits. It is a single breasted, one button, light grey sharkskin two piece. Further options are 5 sleeve buttons, flapped hip and ticket pockets, side vents and large shoulder pads. This look finds a middle ground between the peaked lapel selections and one with quite a lot of versatility. If you are looking to make a bit of an impression in the office this could be a good one to start with.

Suit No. 2 is quite a modern and flashy look for Harvey. It keeps the familiar peaked lapels but they are slightly narrower than the others, affording it a more modern feel. Personal preference but I enjoy a slimmer lapel, it helps to visually broaden the shoulders and looks sharp. This suit is a single breasted, one button, gunmetal grey mohair two piece with a little added length to the jacket. It has 4 sleeve buttons, single vent, flapped hip and ticket pockets, waist suppression and a dark contrast lapel button hole that matches the tie. All in all an ensemble that I really like, although I suspect that there might be a little bit of polyester in that weave creating the sheen but Tailor On Ten has a range of Mohair/Wool blends that should do the job and will definitely feel better.

Suit No. 3 is the penultimate Harvey Specter suit, a piece that exudes power and commands respect. I’ve always had an issue with authority and instantly dislike this suit but really appreciate the personality it creates. If you want everyone to know you are the boss, this is the suit for you (not advisable if you actually aren’t the boss…). This ensemble is a mid-grey chalk stripe single breasted 3 piece with extra-wide peaked lapels. The waistcoat is a peaked design, which matches the lapels nicely, with 5 buttons. Much like the first suit it has side vents, flapped hip and ticket pockets, 5 sleeve buttons and tied up with a really big knot.

Harvey Specter Tuxedo Suit

We had to add in two more suits that are quite different to the rest. They are interesting because they are some of the only suits Harvey wears that don’t directly fall into the power suit category.

Suit No. 4 is a sensational suit. A beautiful light-grey flannel 3 piece. Unlike the rest it has a notch lapel and a roll that sits higher on the chest. Usually this higher lapel would be reserved for a 3 button rolled to 2 whereas this is a 2 button and we love it. The waist coat is a peaked 4 button.

Suit No. 5 is an old-school formal favourite. A real tribute to a time of high style that fits really well with the image of Harvey Specter, a jet black Tuxedo. Out of the peaked and shawl lapel the peaked is actually the more formal of the two and this is definitely a formidable lapel! The decision to go sans black satin is a great choice and of course features a white wing-tip collared shirt and black bow tie. As an aside if you are buying a Tuxedo, historically speaking you should also wear a waistcoat or cummerbund with it as you aren’t supposed to see any waistband or shirt through the middle. That said James Bond pulled it off!
