The Club shall be called the Hampton Court Model Yacht Club (hereinafter referred to in these rules as "the Club"). 2.OBJECTIVES The objectives of the Club shall be to promote and facilitate the sailing and racing of model yachts and to encourage the designing and building of model yachts. The Club is a non-profit making organisation.

Yes, being able to swim provides a comfort level in and around the water. We recommend that you learn how to swim prior to attending any HYC sailing class. Each child must be able to pass a short swim test consisting of swimming 50-100 yards and treading water for 3 minutes. All sailors will have the swim test conducted in their life jackets.
