We stopped in the Ocean City Yacht club for a wedding over the weekend. While I didn't see any yachts on the dock, it was definitely a nice spot to have a wedding. With large plate glass windows on the west side of the room, the room has a fantastic view across the bay. As for the food, I'm not sure if they brought an outside caterer or used in house but it was pretty good as well. Looked like parking was iffy but there was plenty of parking in the neighborhood. Good times.

Wow. I recently attended a wedding reception here and while I really wanted to like this place the experience was ruined by interactions with the head chef and maitre de both of which were generally unhelpful and the head chef was plain rude and appeared to have a chip on his shoulder. Unfortunately the layout of the venue wasn't suitable for a wedding reception either as there is not enough room to separate a cocktail hour from the dining room. As a result some guests were seated at their dining tables while others were cramped into a tight separate bar-room area. Lastly the food was comparable to a Boston Market. Our dinner consisted of salty and powdery mashed potatoes, a few strands of string beans, a slice of carrot, and an uninspired piece of breaded chicken ((yawn)).

Picture this a warm summer day for a beach wedding and we arrive at the place and the air conditioner is not on, or maybe it had been turned on as we arrived. Ceiling fans were barely moving around and everyone literally was sweating. We were told they did not know where the controls were, really! Number of guests was 170 and they were packed into two rooms. I do not know how they could accommodate up to 200+ guests, ridiculous. There were not enough tables and chairs for all the guests, and it was a sit-down dinner. Appetizers were not replenished until the last morsel of food had been taken from the serving platters. Guests being kind did not want to take the last piece so it took some time to have stations replenished. Ran out of forks so guests were directed to sit at their seats to eat their appetizers and use the fork from their place setting. The initial contract was signed with the original caterer whom had wonderful reviews and once the contract was signed the caterer and additional caterers quit OCYC due to issues. Greate Bay was the last of the caterers and they were also a part of the total chaos. It really should not be this hard when you are paying so much money for such a special event.

Night in venice turns ocean city into 'margaritaville'.

By Maddy Vitale

Sunday, July 21, 2024

Night in Venice boat participants deck out boats in Jimmy Buffett-themed style.

Night in Venice brought out thousands of spectators Saturday to watch the procession of decorated boats along the Ocean City bayfront and enjoy views from decorated bayfront homes.

And if you weren’t a “Parrot Head” before the night began, it was hard to resist loving the boaters who enthusiastically participated in this year’s theme of “Summertime Vibes: A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett.” The theme was to honor the memory of the legendary musician whose career spanned 50 years. Buffett passed away last September.

Some boaters decked out their boats and danced along to the Buffett tunes “Cheeseburger in Paradise” and “Lost Shaker of Salt,” while others enjoyed some “Margaritaville” and “It’s Five O’clock Somewhere.”

The annual tradition, now in its 69th year, attracts families to view the event from the Bayside Center and other prime spots along the waterfront.

Sofia Sulligan, of Philadelphia, and her daughter, Oksana, 5, and 8-year-old son, Roman, enjoyed Night in Venice from their vantage point at the Bayside Center.

“We have a house in Somers Point. Night in Venice is a nice night where everyone gets together and celebrates,” Sulligan said. “We get to see amazing boats and fireworks. It’s especially great because of the Jimmy Buffett theme.”

Others enjoyed the parade from private house parties decorated with this year’s theme.

The route ran from the Ocean City-Longport Bridge to Tennessee Avenue and there were around 100 boats in all and 175 decorated homes.

Night in Venice Chairman Dave Winslow, who is also a councilman, said prior to the event that the theme would be a popular one. And judging by the number of boats sporting the Jimmy Buffett theme, it certainly was.

City dignitaries, including Mayor Jay Gillian and his wife, Michele Gillian, executive director of the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, along with members of City Council, also had boats in the parade.

Michele Gillian said that the city was so lucky to enjoy such an amazing day and weekend.

“It is one of the biggest boat parades in the country and Ocean City is so lucky to be able to host an event like this and to have all of the people that come and visit us during this weekend,” she said. “We look at about 125,000 people with us, and we are so lucky.”

Maryann “Mac” McElroy acted as the emcee and when light rain began, she recalled Night in Venice in 2023, when lightning forced the boats to shore until the storm passed.

Grand marshal ESPN reporter and host Marty Smith stood at the bow of the boat and waved to the crowd as his boat passed by the Bayside Center.

ocean city yacht club

Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham and his family were special guests and appeared in the boat parade. Graham rode along on a boat and waved to the crowd, but also added in the “E-A-G-L-E-S” chant.

Before the parade began, there was a VIP event at the Ocean City Yacht Club, where fans of Smith and Graham could meet with them.

Graham signed autographs and did photo ops with fans. Smith and his wife, Lainie, an Ocean City native, were also at the yacht club to mingle with fans.

A fireworks display capped off the festivities after the parade wrapped up.

Judges pick winners among the boats and homes. The city typically announces the winners in the following couple of days.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht – Season 1, Episode 1

Holy ship, we're sailing, where to watch, below deck sailing yacht — season 1, episode 1.

Cast & Crew

Glenn shephard, jenna macgillivray, byron hissey, madison stalker, georgia grobler, episode info, here’s what the cast of below deck sailing yacht is currently up to now.

Are Jenna and Adam still together?

below deck sailing yacht season 1

From a spontaneous proposal failing spectacularly to a joke about being breastfed as an adult, Sailing Yacht was as much a dramatic success as the other franchises. It also left fans wondering about what's happening to the crew since the show wrapped. Did chief stew Jenna and chef Adam stay together? What's going on with Georgia's music? And most important—is Captain Glenn really as cool as we think he is?

Here's what the cast of Below Deck: Sailing Yacht is up to now:

When the Canadian stepped onto the Parsifal III, fans got exactly what they hoped for in a chief stew—a no-nonsense leader who also had a romantic spot in her heart for the chef in the galley. Though her relationship with Adam Glick proved to be tumultuous, the two dated for some time after the season wrapped, even taking some time to road-trip together.

These days, Jenna is enjoying some time off from yachting, but given her recent IG pics, she's excited to come back to another charter season.

Wherever Madison went, drama always seemed to follow the second stew during season one of Below Deck: Sailing Yacht . In between epic meltdowns (including a major one between her and Jenna over her lack of enthusiasm for her job), she left the boat a better person and leaving fans ready to see more from their new favorite cast member.

Judging by her Instagram account, she's taken a break from yachting (perhaps until next season of the show).

As good of a third stew Georgia was on deck, fans were more invested in her budding music career and growing feelings for a very taken Paget. She proved she was great at her job and could make a career out of yachting.

While it's unclear whether she stayed in the yachting industry post- Sailing Yacht , Georgia's working on music, premiering new music videos on IGTV during the quarantine.

Below Deck Med fans were so excited when Adam joined the crew as the chef for Sailing Yacht . While he abided by the preference sheets this time around, he also began a rocky romance with chief stew Jenna, making most of the crew members wonder if he was there for his job or the girl.

Since the show wrapped, Adam's busy onshore, cooking, and traveling with his adorable puppy. Oh, and Adam has a web series, Stoked , where he travels across the country to meet with local chefs and learn about their regions... all while over a campfire.

Paget Berry and Ciara Duggan

If there was any couple to root for from the entire Below Deck franchise, it's Paget and Ciara. The duo made a great team on deck, and mostly kept their relationship to a minimum on cameras—a first for Bravo! As they were the most familiar with the Parsifal III, the couple was the most reliable, and fans loved seeing their relationship continue blossoming post-filming.

These days, the couple has a lot to be excited about—they're now engaged. While they're soaking up their romantic bliss, they're also still working in yachting, although it's sadly on separate boats.

As the chief engineer of Parsifal III, Byron was clearly there to just do his job. But, given how he was the only cast member to have a wife and child back home, he also became the dad of the group, taking care of the other crew members.

Since filming wrapped, it looks like Byron is back on a boat doing exactly what he does best—fixing and making sure the engines run smoothly.

Parker McCown

Relatively new to the yachting industry, fans are more likely to remember the deckhand for his enraged rant about being breastfed by his mother. While he didn't necessarily have all the skills to make it as a deckhand, he definitely had a soft spot for his ex-girlfriend Kaiti, whom he eventually left Parsifal III to go back to at home.

It looks like the decision to leave the show worked out for Parker, as he's now engaged to Kaiti and writing some tunes while onshore.

Chris Miller

As Parker's replacement for the latter half of the season, Chris proved a great deckhand and an asset to the team, all while battling an injury.

These days, Chris seems to be taking some time off from yachting to travel across Europe.

Captain Glenn Sheppard

Captain Glenn was tough, fair, and not afraid to have a good time, which both crew and guests very much appreciated.

Thankfully, his reality TV experience hasn't turned him off yachting forever. Glenn is still the captain for Parsifal III and traveling through the Mediterranean.

How ‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ Can Pick Up Some Wind In Its Sails For Season 2

Parker, Madison, Ciara, and Paget on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 1

Where to Stream:

Stream it or skip it: 'hannah berner: we ride at dawn' on netflix: giggly squad, assemble.

'the real housewives of new jersey' season 14 reunion special axed due to cast tensions, 'summer house' transformed into bravo's best show during season 8, 'nyc prep' finally released from the bravo vaults ... but maybe it should have stayed locked up.

The first season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht has come to an end, and even though that charter guest didn’t have any drugs on him, maybe this season of the Bravo series could’ve used some. Despite the fact that Sailing Yacht was the latest addition to the proven win that is the boating franchise, including Below Deck and Below Deck Mediterranean , that didn’t stop this season from needing a bit of wind in its sails.

But let’s focus on the positive first. Sailing Yacht showed viewers a new side to the industry with these sleek sailing boats that move unlike any of the other motor yachts we’ve seen before. The way the wind would catch in those sails and the boat would be thriving, that was truly majestic to watch. There was an element of action and adventure to this series that the others can’t claim.

We also met Captain Glenn who was the perfect captain for this boat. His laid back attitude, willingness to jump up and fix a sail, and adorable admissions during his interviews made him an excellent leader for this show. He’s bringing something different to the table than Captain Lee and Captain Sandy, but he is also capable of showing the same support and sternness when necessary. He was a true delight.

And now, the waters get a little choppy. Viewers were excited to see Chef Adam return for the series after his two-season stint on Below Deck Mediterranean , but this didn’t feel like the Adam we know and love. He’s always been a self-proclaimed grump who just wants to be left alone while he makes his masterpiece meals —and the food did look incredible. But his romance with chief stew Jenna was not nearly the fairytale we hoped for. It was kind of the opposite, even. Their frustrations with each other were our frustrations watching their relationship hit several speed bumps. And the more they seemed to fall for each other, the meaner they became to their coworkers, especially Jenna, in order to have something to laugh about together. Considering how much time they spent together hugging and kissing and flirting in the kitchen, the only thing they were really cooking up was a bad taste in everyone’s mouths.

View this post on Instagram Feeling the Sunday scaries creep in. A post shared by Decider.com (@deciderdotcom) on May 17, 2020 at 3:08pm PDT

The only breakout from the interior was second stew Madison. Sure, she got herself worked up under the pressure of the job at times, but she still seemed to get the work done and had funny things to say in her interviews. She let viewers in on a big part of her life, she forgot to wear a bra to a beach picnic, and had the best facial reactions of anyone. Ultimately, she had the right mix of getting the job done and still being interesting for reality TV, which no one else on the boat really captured. If there’s another season of this show, bring her back as chief stew — it’s likely that would prevent the season from ever getting boring.

Then there’s Georgia. I’d love to know the details of the deal she clearly made with producers. Was it that they promised her 10 seconds of singing time in each episode in exchange for her pushing the forced “feelings for Paget” storyline? That never made any sense for a lot of reasons. If the two were close pals, that’s great. But he was clearly committed to Ciara, and despite their typical couple bickering, the two seem to be a strong match.

Deckhand Chris was nice and the kind of person you need to balance out a group of crazies, but everyone here was unfortunately normal(ish). Oh, but remember Parker? Wow does that feel ages ago. Perhaps it was because his time coincided with Jenna and Adam’s rocky road to love, but he never felt like an overly frustrating character in this mix. His behavior wasn’t that shocking, nor was his departure. Same goes for Byron, the first time an engineer has been a main cast member. We didn’t really learn more about what his job entails, we heard some witty one-liners from him, and he seemed cool enough. But that’s it.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 1 was just fine — even though that’s not a great thing in the world of reality TV. We watched it because the majority of this season aired while we were all stuck inside and it wasn’t as infuriating as the male privilege displayed at the end of the last season of Below Deck . It’s great that this franchise can air all year long, with Below Deck Med picking up in the same timeslot starting next week. But it’s got to find the humor of Below Deck Med or the competence of Below Deck and, ahem, sail with it. Jenna wasn’t a Kate or a Hannah, which would’ve been okay if those weren’t two very beloved skorts to fill. The romance wasn’t charming, the drama wasn’t salacious, the guests all seemed to be fine for the most part. That sounds nice and all, but nobody wants a boring vacation.

Hopefully there is a Season 2 because there’s a lot of potential here. If they can get the boat back up and running, and really, the cameras, it would be wise to lean likable in the casting for this show. We turn to Below Deck for an escape. The high-pressure of fulfilling guest needs while holding on as the boat tips to the side, and in extremely tight quarters, will produce enough drama. When we want fights, we watch Housewives , but Below Deck shouldn’t be frustrating, let alone infuriating. It should be fun. It’s just too bad no one seemed to have any this season.

Gary King has placed Below Deck Sailing Yacht’s future in jeopardy. Joining this cast in Season 2, Gary has given us three seasons of very clear patterns. Simply put, Gary loves the ladies. In fact, his storylines every single season have always involved at least one love triangle, and/or a drunken one-night stand.

But then, the sexual assault situations on Below Deck Down Under Season 2 arose. The ramifications from this quickly began trickling down towards every other series on Bravo. In a good way, the department heads and the production teams dove into action, protecting the innocent parties onboard. This was rightfully celebrated, but in this, many of the viewers also began verbalizing their thoughts on Gary, stating that he is quickly becoming a problem-in-waiting for this network.

Clearly, the safety of everyone on set is a serious matter. So serious in fact, that the latest allegations made against Gary are seemingly giving this network a major pause on how to move forward with this series. I get this, as some shipwrecks are hard to salvage, but, is this the case for BDSY? Or, can this sailing yacht still rise up from the dank floors of the ocean, salvaged for many more seasons to come?

A recap of the latest allegations against Gary

Production members accuse "Below Deck" of covering up Gary King's alleged sexual misconduct: "It was insane. There were multiple incidents of sexual harassment in front of multiple producers after this person had been given verbal warnings multiple times" https://t.co/aodB8Jho8n — Rolling Stone (@RollingStone) August 25, 2023

Last year, after filming for BDSY Season 5 had already wrapped, with Gary’s likeness attached, an explosive Rolling Stone article was released. In this, a production member named Samantha Suarez claimed that Gary had attempted to force himself on her during filming for Season 4. Several crew members also stated that they’ve witnessed Gary “constantly” making women uncomfortable with his aggressive pursuits. One anonymous source went even further, alleging that they saw Gary grab a cast member’s butt, touching her despite her spoken “No.”

Shortly after this exposé dropped, the calls for canceling Gary began. Bravo went first, uninviting Gary’s bun from BravoCon. Then, Gary took zero accountability online, likely sealing his fate with this network forever. But, as his new season has already been filmed, how on earth can this network now move forward with their material?

What an edited Season 5 could look like

Again, BDSY Season 5 has already filmed, so recasting Gary’s role is out of the equation. However, we’ve already seen a Season 5 edit go down, via Peter Hunziker over on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 5. Like Gary, Peter also filmed an entire season, but when racist posts of his appeared online, his firing followed. Since his season had already wrapped, the post-production teams had the grueling job of editing Peter’s likeness out of every single scene.

That said, Peter was brand new to this franchise. Therefore, as a viewer, I wasn’t tuned into Peter’s faded presence at all. In contrast, Gary has starred on BDSY for three long seasons. We all know Gary, and in almost every single scene that’s aired, Gary’s present, and for the most part, his antics are the main storylines.

This means that editing out Gary will likely leave BDSY Season 5 with some pretty major plot holes. Unless the other cast members brought it, that is. So, if it’s between editing Gary out for this one season, or leaving this one season alone to just die slowly down on the ocean’s floor, it’s probably better to just scrap this whole season.

But, if they do this, and Season 5 (re)films sans Gary, can BDSY puke and rally as a series?

Can a reboot better save Below Deck Sailing Yacht?

As humans, we tend to gravitate towards the familiar. This recipe has worked well with BDSY for three seasons. Colin MacRae , Daisy Kelliher , and Gary all entered during Season 2, becoming the staples for this Below Deck spin-off. Working underneath Captain Glenn Shephard , these four brought this series into the fold, making it one of the greatest BD series ever, for a short time at least.

With these new allegations against Gary though, it’s very clear that Bravo might have to remove him from their lineups. Thankfully, Colin and Daisy are back to being friends. They fixed their fallout from Season 4, which I love. This leaves Colin far more likely to return to filming.

You see, unlike Gary, Colin actually sat Season 5’s filming out. But, if this entire season now gets a reboot, Colin can hopefully return. This would bring this series back up to 3 familiar faces, instead of just the 2 found in Daisy and Captain Glenn. This would royally suck for the newbies of Season 5 though, as all of their efforts will get left on the cutting room floor.

Unless Bravo brings them all back to film underneath Colin, instead of Gary. But would this series still be watchable at this point? Do we need Gary? Or neh, let’s reboot and resail BDSY ?

So, do we vote to save Below Deck Sailing Yacht, or do we just let it sink?

missed them ? #BelowDeckSailing pic.twitter.com/YHdRtKgMkq — Below Deck Sailing Yacht (@BelowDeckSailng) April 11, 2023

And now, our one main ask remains; what do we do with the future of this one particular series? Are Colin, Daisy, and Captain Glenn likable enough to help keep Below Deck Sailing Yacht afloat? Or, has this series run its course, becoming far too tarnished by Gary’s antics, and a lack of oversight onboard as to his problematic ways, to fully survive?

If it were up to me, I’d sink the footage that has already taped. Editing out Gary will be tough AF, because he’s everywhere, always. After that, I’d bring back Colin and keep Daisy, but I’d also try and get as many of their costars from Season 4 to return as possible because these drama-free yachties during a messy main character season gave me life. But also Bravo, if you’re listening, if anyone great filmed for your first take of Season 5, then maybe let’s get them back into the fray as well, eh?

Stream Below Deck Sailing Yacht on Peacock.

TELL US – IS BDSY SAVEABLE? OR, DO WE JUST LET THIS SERIES SINK DOWN TO THE OCEAN’S FLOOR, NEVER TO BE HEARD FROM AGAIN? WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE HAPPEN?

About below deck sailing yacht.

Capt. Glenn and his comeback team Daisy Kelliher, Gary King and Colin MacRae resume their responsibilities aboard Parsifal III, along with new, dynamic crew members, as they set sail in Sardinia, Italy.

Capt. Glenn realizes that his laid-back leadership style has allowed his crew to become too comfortable and starts taking charge of quality control in the interior department, much to Daisy's dismay. In the galley, Chef Ilesha's cooking impresses the guests, but her indecisiveness and co-dependency lead to time-management issues between courses, which causes her to self-destruct. On deck, strong personalities collide, and a power struggle results in a near mutiny, as Gary clashes with his new overconfident deckhand, Chase.

Two overlapping love triangles further complicate the dynamics on-board, and a shocking hookup puts Colin, Daisy and Gary’s friendship in jeopardy.

With a near collision, fire, crew rebellion, gruesome guest injury and two different potentially season-ending engine failures, this is the most captivating and unpredictable season yet of Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

Below Deck Season 1: Where Are The Cast Members Now?

of Below Deck Season 1: Where Are The Cast Members Now?

Sailing through the oceanic blues, Bravo’s ‘Below Deck’ chronicles the lives of crew members aboard a mega yacht as they reside and work on the vessel during the charter season. The reality television show was launched in 2013 and has juxtaposed the thrill of sailing with the drama of its crew. As the Chief Stew, Captain, Deckhands, and Chef try to navigate the interpersonal conflicts of their workplace, several chaotic themes follow. Years since the debut season came on air, fans have been curious to find out the whereabouts of the original cast members. So, if you also want to know the whereabouts of the reality stars, look no further because we’ve got all the answers right here!

Lee Rosbach is Navigating Life Beyond Reality TV

At 73, Captain Lee Rosbach has led his crew on sails for more than three decades. The television personality was once a Wendy’s manager. His first encounter with the ocean came in his mid-30s when he and his wife, Mary Anne, moved to Turks & Caicos to run a restaurant. At 35, Lee obtained his Captain’s license and has since never looked back. Commonly referred to as the “Stud of the Sea,” he has been in the business for more than four decades. However, after leading his crew for ten seasons, Captain Lee bid his final farewell to the Bravo reality show.

During season 10 of ‘Below Deck,’ fans witnessed Lee’s worsening health conditions, leading to him temporarily sitting out. The reality TV star has been facing mobility issues that have led to high pain levels. Ultimately, the network didn’t invite the boat captain back for season 11. Many have speculated that Lee’s exit from the show came after he conflicted with Captain Sandy Yawn in season 10. Yet, these rumors stand unconfirmed. Nevertheless, Lee Rosbach has now teamed up with Kate Chastain, hosting Bravo’s new series, ‘Couch Talk with Captain Lee and Kate.’

The revered Captain and former chief stew break down the biggest Bravo TV moments of the week on their new show. On the personal front, Lee continues to enjoy life with his family and loved ones. After losing his son , Joshua, at 42, to an opioid addiction in 2019, he has become extensively vocal about rehabilitation for people struggling with addiction. Despite sustaining such an incredible loss, the family continues to honor Joshua’s memory through donations and giving testimony in front of Congress.

Aleks Taldykin is Leading in Yacht Management

Originally picked up by the production house to enact the role of Captain on the yacht, Aleks was ultimately replaced by Captain Lee Rosbach after the yacht owner expressed his discomfort with him taking over the reins. Eventually, he became the Captain’s next-in-command but didn’t return to the series after season 1.

Since his exit from the show, Aleks has maintained his love for the ocean and is currently the CEO of Elite Yacht Management, a company servicing yachts from the Pacific to the Atlantic. He is also a Yacht Broker specializing in selling large motor yachts in California. In 2016, Aleks had also appeared on ‘Vanderpump Rules.’ At 33, the television personality enjoys life with his wife and family.

Ben Robinson is Engaging in Culinary Ventures and Content Creation

With several credentials, including an apprenticeship at Chef Heston Blumenthal’s restaurant, The Fat Duck, Ben brought his intersectional knowledge of restaurant and catering to ‘ Below Deck .’ However, the reality TV star ultimately left the show after season 2. Ben later appeared on ‘Below Deck: Mediterranean’ and ‘Below Deck: Galley Talk.’ Surprisingly, the certified health coach was briefly speculated to be the father of Chief Stew Kate Chastain’s baby. However, both have time and again denounced trolls for such rumors.

On the personal front, the 42-year-old is engaged to Kiara Cabral. After nearly four years of dating, the television personality went down on his knee at the Vatican to profess his love. When Ben isn’t enjoying his time with friends and family, he’s engaged in several other commitments. Furthermore, he is a TikTok and Cameo creator who sells his personal merchandise brand and offers several services through online channels.

Adrienne Gang is Expanding Her Culinary Expertise

Despite her short-lived stint on ‘Below Deck,’ Adrienne quickly became a fan-favorite for dealing with a difficult crew. The 39-year-old Chief Stew has found herself busy with other endeavors. Apart from freelancing as a stew on different boats, she has also returned to her job as a Chef. Before taking up the role in reality television, Adrienne had been a professional chef for eight years.

The television personality is now working at the Culinary Vegetable Institute and Chef’s Garden, honing her skills and expanding her work portfolio. On the family front, Adrienne is married to Chiropractor Dr. Andrew Banks. The couple tied the knot in 2018 in a beachfront ceremony and have enjoyed marital bliss ever since. Sadly, they faced a substantial loss in 2021 after they miscarried their baby. Nevertheless, Adrienne and Andrew remain unfazed by these struggles and enjoy their life with their dog, Buddy. In addition, she hosts the ‘Gangplant Report’ podcast.

C.J. LeBeau is Actively Working in Marketing

Disembarking from the yacht just before the crew could take its final charter, C.J. Beau quickly became disinterested in the activities onboard and eventually left the boat behind. Since then, he has not reappeared in the series and has maintained a profile outside the media. Shortly after the season ended, C.J. was taken into police custody in Phoenix, Arizona, for allegedly getting in a physical altercation with his then-fiance.

The television personality was reportedly charged with intentional assault and defacing property. It was also reported that C.J. allegedly broke his fiance’s cell phone during the fight. Later, he became the Sales Director for Direct Source Distributing, a marketing company based in San Diego. On the personal front, C.J. has maintained privacy and doesn’t disclose his private information.

Kat Held is Pursuing Nursing and Bartending

Despite repeatedly knocking heads with the Chief Stew, Kat quickly became a fan-favorite for her famous phrases. However, she ended up leaving the show after season 2. Since then, Kat has been pursuing different opportunities. The 39-year-old worked as a waitress before eventually returning to nursing school in 2017. Kat also worked as a Bartender in Las Vegas and currently likes to keep her personal and professional details under wraps. Moreover, the television personality attended ‘Watch What Happens Live’ with her ‘Below Deck’ costars in 2020.

Samantha Orme is Building a New Life and Career

While Samantha’s time was full of ups and downs on the yacht, the television personality decided she wanted more in life and not just work at a mega yacht. Shortly after exiting the show, she met Bradley Ulmer, a Coast Guard Helicopter Pilot, and the two hit it off. The couple decided to tie the knot a few months into dating.

Subsequently, the duo welcomed their daughters, Blake and Molly. On the professional front, 36-year-old Samantha has accrued equal success. The television personality was the Vice President of a Solar Energy Firm before she returned to study Industrial Engineering. She is currently working as the Enterprise Program Manager for Fidelity National Information Services.

Eddie Lucas is Commanding the Harbor

After appearing as the Deckhand in season 1, Eddie ultimately became a Bosun and the First Officer on the Bravo series. Yet, after eight seasons, he decided to leave the franchise entirely. Eddie is now the Captain of a harbor tug boat in the Baltimore Harbor. The homeowner had revealed in an interview with The New York Post that he gets paid the lowest amount compared to other shows on Bravo.

It is also speculated that Eddie’s arguments with Rayna Lindsey over alleged homophobic comments could have been the reason for his departure from the show. Nevertheless, these speculations have not been entertained by the television personality. Instead, the 38-year-old has left behind the reality television life and now focuses on chartering to the Caribbean and experiencing the best of the ocean life with his dog named Bert, as well as friends and loved ones.

David Bradberry is Pursuing Acting Opportunities

below deck sailing yacht season 1 imdb

Sailing through the season without any conflict, David’s endearing demeanor won countless viewers during the show. Regardless, the reality TV star ultimately left the series following his appearance in season 1. Since then, David has explored a path in entertainment and starred in works like, ‘Confessions,’ ‘The Last Straight Man,’ ‘Fiendish Things,’ and ‘The Men Next Door.’ On the personal front, the 37-year-old is no longer with his boyfriend featured in ‘Below Deck.’ The television personality has since kept his dating life under wraps and loves to maintain a private profile.

  • Below Deck Adventure season 1 provided viewers with an exciting and dramatic look into the world of luxury yacht charters, showcasing the trials and triumphs of the crew.
  • Below Deck season 5 brought a burst of new energy to the flagship show with a ship full of inexperienced hands, refreshing the series and keeping it strong.

With Below Deck season 10 wrapped up and Below Deck Mediterranean season 7 in the books, fans of the franchise have many memorable seasons to look back on. Spread across five different series, the over-the-top antics of the high-profile luxury yacht industry have made for amazing reality TV.

No matter what ship the audience sails with, they are guaranteed an exciting and dramatic time on the high seas. Though the shows have always been must-watch TV, some seasons of the franchise left a lasting impression on viewers due to the high-scale drama and earned much higher scores.

10 Below Deck Mediterranean Season 2

Like its predecessor, Mediterranean had a rocky first season but came into its own by season 2. Almost completely replacing the cast from season 1, Sirocco's crew was all-new, and what made the season great was learning about them. Hannah and Bobby's bond was tested throughout the season as the two veterans split over handling day-to-day operations in the face of a new captain and crew. Love triangles formed, and the entire season exploded when Bugsy and Hannah had a massive falling out. Though the show would get more dramatic as the years progressed, season 2 planted many seeds that would pay off later.

9 Below Deck Adventure Season 1

Below Deck Adventure season 1 was a successful spin-off that followed the high-seas adventures of the crew aboard a luxury yacht, The Mercury, and catering to the needs and demands of wealthy charter guests as they sailed through the Fjords of Norway. The crew faced various challenges throughout the season, including demanding charter guests, tight working conditions, and interpersonal conflicts. The season offered viewers an exciting and often dramatic look into the world of luxury yacht charters, showcasing the trials and triumphs of the crew as they worked together. So far, there's only been one season.

8 Below Deck Season 5

The fifth season of the flagship show was a turnover year, and a ship full of inexperienced hands was a recipe for instant drama. Because the show is a reality program and essentially runs on drama, the arrival of new crew members was like a refresh button that kept the show from growing stale. Even with new crew members, the veterans continued to grow into their characters, and Kate had a particularly illuminating season when she went ashore. Though it was tough to let go of some familiar faces, season 5 was a burst of new energy that kept the show strong.

7 Below Deck Mediterranean Season 4

Once again returning to the Sirocco, and with a primarily new crew in tow, Mediterranean' s season 4 was anything but a mid-run low point. Some familiar faces returned from season 3 to be a guiding voice, but the new crew members were what made the season shine. The coast of France was the setting for the season, and its beautiful vistas are the backdrop to some fantastic inter-crew drama. Aside from that, the antics of guests like former baseball star Johnny Damon were the cherry on top of an entertaining season.

6 Below Deck Season 7

Though the show has slowly become more and more over-the-top with each subsequent season, a perfect balance was reached in the seventh year. The ship set sail to Thailand to start the season, and the return of memorable charter guests improved the show. The humor was ramped up, but there were also shocking, dramatic moments, including Kate's near departure from the show. While it had come a long way since season 1 and was almost unrecognizable, season 7 is considered the original series's last great season.

5 Below Deck Season 3

Like Mediterranean , Below Deck 's season 3 was an improvement because it was a growth and continuation of ideas in the second year. The over-the-top drama that would characterize the show started to creep in, but there was still much yachting action. Eddie's shocking return was a perfect hook for the season to come, and there was tension in the episodes that built around scandals and relationship drama. Though some of the fakest things about the show began to enter into the mix by season 3, it was never a tedious watch.

4 Below Deck Season 10

The latest installment of the original Below Deck was well-received by fans. One of the season's biggest storylines was the conflict between Alissa and Camille. Alissa was a new stew struggling to learn the ropes, and Camille was a more experienced stew frustrated by Alissa's mistakes. The two women clashed multiple times, and their feud eventually led to Camille's firing. Another major storyline of the season was Fraser's coming out story. His story helped to raise awareness about LGBTQ+ issues in the yachting industry.

The season also featured several other memorable moments, including a boat party that got out of control, a romantic connection between Hayley and Tyler, and a surprise visit from Captain Lee Rosbach, who won't be returning as Below Deck season 11 cast member.

3 Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2 is another fan-favorite installment of the franchise. Captain Glenn Shephard returned for his second season at the helm of Parsifal III, and he was joined by a new crew of officers, including First Mate Gary King, Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher, and Bosun Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux. The crew also included three new stews: Dani Soares, Alli Dore, and Sydney Zaruba, and two new deckhands, Madison Stalker and Paget Berry.

One of the biggest storylines of the season was the love triangle between Daisy, Gary, and Alli . Daisy had a crush on Gary, but Gary was dating Alli. The situation became even more complicated when Alli found out that Gary had kissed Daisy. Alli was devastated, and she broke up with Gary. Daisy and Gary eventually got together, but their relationship was short-lived.

2 Below Deck Mediterranean Season 5

Below Deck Mediterranean Season 5 followed the crew of the luxury yacht The Wellington as they chartered the Balearic Islands of Spain. Captain Sandy Yawn returned for her third season at the helm of The Wellington, and she was joined by crew including First Mate Malia White, Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier, and Bosun Alex Radcliffe. The crew also included two new stews, Bugsy Drake and Jess More, and two new deckhands, Kiko Lorran and Robert Westergaard.

One of the season's biggest storylines was the conflict between Hannah and Malia. Hannah was a longtime crew member on Below Deck Med , and Malia was a new crew member eager to prove herself. The two women clashed on multiple occasions, and their feud eventually led to Hannah's firing on Below Deck Med .

1 Below Deck Season 2

Though Below Deck 's season 1 was essential and helped launch it into a franchise, season 2 is where the show blossomed. Weaving its narrative quite fluently, the season set itself apart from most other reality shows by telling a complete story that includes all its characters. Relationships were formed and tested throughout the season, and whether deckhands were fighting or flirting, it seemed as if there was always something interesting going on. A good reality show needs balance, and Below Deck season 2 was able to perfectly mix its drama with the behind-the-scenes antics that made the show enjoyable in the first place. It forever remains the best installment of the series.

Below Deck Mediterranean airs on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET.

Below Deck (2016)

The 10 Wildest Moments in the Below Deck Franchise, Ranked

4

Below Deck is one of the most beloved Bravo programs thanks to the wild antics that happen on and off charter. With five franchises in the Below Deck Cinematic Universe, fans simply can't get enough from the personalities that work on these dream superyachts. Below Deck is not always fun and games. Sometimes there are some wild moments that make iconic television for a variety of different reasons. Whether it's making shocking remarks, engaging in taboo behavior, or almost losing your life, Below Deck has been nonstop must-watch television.

For over a decade, Below Deck has been one Bravo's biggest intellectual properties . Giving a behind-the-scenes peek into the inner workings of life on the high seas, Below Deck perfectly balances the reality of the job and the reality of reality television. Below Deck has spawned four spin-offs, Below Deck Mediterranean , Below Deck Sailing Yacht , Below Deck Down Under , and Below Deck Adventure . While each series features different locales and an ever-changing cast of characters, there are no signs of slowing down. It's all thanks to the wild moments that have occurred across the five series.

10 Eddie Lucas and Rocky Dakota's Forbidden Hookup

Below deck season 3.

Hooking up with your fellow crew members can have some major consequences if you're not careful. Especially when one of the parties involved has a devoted girlfriend waiting for them back home. Eddie Lucas is one of the most beloved yachties throughout the history of Below Deck . He started during Season 1 as a First Deckhand before being promoted to Boson for the next two seasons. Eddie was a strong worker and quite loveable, but it all came crashing down when Raquel "Rocky" Dakota joined Motoryacht Eros for Season 3. Rocky had a rocky go during her time on Below Deck . She didn't quite get along with Chief Stew Kate Chastain . She sided with Chef Leon Walker , despite his abysmal attitude. Her erratic behavior and ability to play with people's hearts, namely deckhand Emile Kotze , got her in trouble. But trouble was brewing aboard when she was "doing laundry" with Eddie.

Rocky and Eddie secretly hooked up, with the cameras capturing every move, and for the majority of the time, Eddie denied it, causing Rocky to spiral. By the time he finally fessed up, many of his coworkers were disappointed in Eddie's actions, including Captain Lee Rosbach . Eddie went on to tell Rocky it was a mistake, which she felt was a malicious attack toward her, deflecting all responsibility onto her. This drama seeped into Eddie's decision to leave Below Deck . Thankfully, an older, wiser, and more mature Eddie returned for Season 8 and Season 9, where he was promoted once again to First Officer. Hookups on Below Deck may be juicy to watch, but they often have real world consequences. And these two surely found that out.

9 Kyle Viljoen's Romance with a Charter Guest

Below deck mediterranean season 7.

Below Deck Mediterranean 's Kyle Viljoen was a vibrant character. As one of the very few male stews the show has had, his story showcased his ability to fully express his sexuality in the open. During one of the charters, a group of gay men came on board and Kyle found a tribe he could connect with. The more he got to know this charter crew, the more he began to make a connection with the charter guest, Frank Fay . In the world of yachting, having any intimate interactions with a charter guest is completely forbidden. It's happened before, namely with Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier during Season 2.

While her flirting did get her in trouble, Kyle's flirtation with Frank was championed a bit more by fans and his fellow crew. Kyle was instantly smitten with Frank, but he knew he couldn't do anything while Frank was a guest, and he was working. Having never really found a love connection, Kyle was eager to explore something with Frank when the charter was over. Well, as fate would have it, Frank and his friends were still in Malta during the crew's night out. The pair did get a chance to dance in the club, which led to an adorable Hollywood moment where Kyle and Frank kissed before they departed. This wild moment may have been heartwarming, but it could have had dangerous consequences for Kyle.

8 Chief Stew Heather Chase Makes Racially Insensitive Comment

Below deck season 9.

When you live and work with the same people for a long period of time, you might begin to loosen up and let your guard down. And when that happens, sometimes something slips out that can ruin your entire reputation. During Season 9 of Below Deck , new Chief Stew Heather Chase was hoping to find her footing and be the first long-term Chief Stew since the departure of Kate Chastain . It would all come crashing down, however, when what she perceived to be a passing comment turned into something much bigger.

Deckhand Rayna Lindsey used a racial epithet and Heather repeated it back to her. This moment weighed heavy on Rayna, so when she approached Heather about this, she claimed she didn't recall saying it. This caused a heated discussion where Heather tried to claim she didn't like being called out by Rayna. When it did come to light on television, Heather took accountability on social media, but Rayna took this opportunity to claim that Heather had comfortably used this slur throughout the filming of the show.

7 Chuck Sanders and Erica Rose Leave Worst Tip Ever

Below deck sailing yacht season 3.

When charter guests step onto a motoryacht, they expect the best. Fine dining, exquisite service, and an experience of a lifetime. This ultimately will be reflected in the tip that the crew receives in the end. For the most part, there is a common window that motoryacht crews have expected. Sometimes it deviates. But when the tip is split among the entire crew, a poor tip can be detrimental, both to their pockets and as a reflection of their service. But what happens when the tip doesn't reflect the service, but is because one charter guest is just a terrible, horrible, attention-hungry person? Such is the case when Erica Rose , a former contestant on The Bachelor , returned to Parsifal III, with her husband, Chuck Sanders .

During Season 2 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht , Erica Rose and her friends had a little getaway in Croatia. Their experience was quite memorable for just how demanding they were. For Erica, when she came back onboard, she was eager to have a good time. Her husband, not so much. He was eager to nitpick everything, displaying some terrible behavior. Chef Marcos Spaziani , who had been brilliant up until this point, had met his match in Chuck, who criticized everything that was set in front of him. He even compared the meals to ballpark food and McDonald's., and Chuck's dissatisfaction resulted in a shocking tip of $6500. The entire crew was in complete shock. Aside from the abysmal tip, this group of charter guests left a lasting impression on the white couch, when Erica's mom's spray-on tan stained it. Fans took to social media to express their own displeasure, forcing Chuck and Erica to tongue-in-cheek in response. There have been some terrible charter guests throughout the years, but these two take the cake.

6 chief stew hannah ferrier gets fired, below deck mediterranean season 5.

For five seasons, Hannah Ferrier was one of the most beloved personalities on Below Deck Mediterranean . Since joining the series from the very beginning, Hannah has served as the Chief Stew. Like many individuals throughout the Below Deck Cinematic Universe, not everyone is going to get along with everyone on board. Hannah had quite a difficult relationship with Captain Sandy Yawn . Captain Sandy seemed to lack any respect for Hannah, holding her accountable for things that many other captains would never do. She held her to a higher standard and often stated she was willing to fire Hannah if the opportunity arose.

Cut to Season 5, where the opportunity was literally placed in her lap. For Season 5, Malia White returned to the crew, serving as the Boson. Often seen as Captain Sandy's mini-me, she was very devoted to her craft, willing to throw anybody under the bus if it jeopardized her position. Already having a previous history and conflict with Hannah, she took a vulnerable moment and twisted it into something devastating. Hannah had a history of anxiety, something viewers and Captain Sandy were familiar with. So when Malia "happened on" Valium and a vape pen on their bathroom counter, Malia ran it to Captain Sandy. After going through the channels on how this went against maritime law, Hannah was relieved of her duties and removed from the boat. Hannah's firing was shocking at the moment, but it had lingering effects, as Captain Sandy would be scrutinized by the fandom for how she would go on and treat other crew members with anxiety. Losing one of Below Deck Mediterranean's most well-known faces was brutal, but Hannah has moved on, living a happy life.

5 Captain Glenn Shephard Crashes Boat...Twice!

Below deck sailing yacht season 2.

No one said sailing a yacht was easy, but the captains of the Below Deck franchises certainly make it look like it is! But there has been one illustrious captain who was caught on camera crashing his ship. Not once, but twice! Parsifal III has truly been old faithful on Below Deck Sailing Yacht . She's been through a lot. But through thick and thin, Captain Glenn Shephard was there, looking after his baby. But sometimes, Parsifal III has failed him. Before the infamous engine fiasco that almost canceled the entire charter season during Season 4, Parsifal III had some crashing to do. During Season 2, due to some human error, Parsifal III hits the dock.

Things happen, but when it happens a second time during a charter season, something's fishy! Unfortunately for Captain Glenn, his trusty ship had a bit of a malfunction that caused the vessel to continue to move backwards during docking. As much as Captain Glenn tried to maneuver it forward, nothing would work. Thankfully, with how the dock was constructed, there was an ever-so-slight buffer that the sailing yacht only uprooted the concrete blocks on the dock, resulting in some cosmetic damage. While Captain Glenn had blamed himself often, it would be Season 1's chief engineer, Byron Hissey , who told him that it was a manufacturer issue.

4 Captain Lee Abruptly Ends Charter

Below deck season 8.

Some charter guests who come for their extraordinary excursion think they're in charge. But when you step foot on the Daddy of the Sea's ship, it's his way or the highway. For those who have been part of Captain Lee's Rosbach 's journey, he is an amazing person with a kind heart. But some things tick him off, to the point where his sailor's mouth comes out. During one of the Below Deck Season 8 charters, a group of grown adults decided it was in their best interest to test the bounds of getting drunk and doing as they pleased.

For one guest named Delores, the word "no" was simply not in her vocabulary. She wanted to go for a swim, and no one was going to tell her otherwise. So, Dolores jumped in, after multiple attempts to talk her out of it. For Captain Lee, this was a big F- you, as he knew this was beyond dangerous and could put her or his crew in danger. As much as he tried to convince her to come back, she pulled the money card. For Captain Lee, that was the final straw. He ended the charter for the group, not even 12 hours into their trip.

3 Chef Mila Kolomeitseva's Homophobia and Poor Culinary Skills

Below deck mediterranean season 4.

Being a yacht chef takes a very special person. You must have incredible skills, not only as a culinary artist, but it's crucial to be able to cater to the needs of every single individual and their preferences. But not everyone wants to be a charter chef, so sometimes you're stuck with who's available. For Season 4 of Below Deck Mediterranean , they were stuck with Chef Mila Kollomeitseva, and using the title chef is quite loose. Not only was this woman in over her head, she was completely loose canon and oblivious. After some insanely unforgivable rookie mistakes, including serving microwavable nachos to the high-paying charter guests and making an inedible box cake, Chef Mila's culinary skills were already grounds for her dismissal.

But all it took was a crew night out to cement her departure. On their way out on the town, a discussion on gay pride parades came up, and Chef Mila made her opinion known. She bluntly revealed, "I don't want my son seeing two men kissing each other." Her homophobic remark led to immense outrage from lead deckhand Travis Michalzik after she then questioned his own sexuality. With other crew members already echoing the sentiment that Chef Mila was homophobic, the timing couldn't have been better for Captain Sandy Yawn to fire her coincidentally after. The beauty and the drawback of working on a yacht is having a crew of individuals from all over the globe and from all walks of life. Sometimes, morals and ideals won't line up, but in this world, Chef Mila's opinions were just too far removed from salvaging any sort of working relationship on this yacht.

2 Below Deck Down Under Fires Two Crew Members

Below deck down under season 2.

There is a very fine line when it comes to sexual assault and sexual harassment in the workplace. When it happens, there is no answer but to remove the individuals who engage in it. During the second season of Below Deck Down Under , Captain Jason Chambers was forced to make a drastic but necessary decision by immediately firing two crew members almost simultaneously. Hookups have been commonplace throughout Below Deck , but that does not excuse inappropriate behavior. Both Luke Jones and Laura Bileskalne had been building a reputation for wanting some action over working on the yacht. Since socializing is minimal during the charter season, they turned to the individuals they lived and worked with.

Season 2 of Below Deck Down Under had an almost immediate love pentagon. Laura was initially interested in Adam Kodra , but he was not interested in her. So she turned her focus toward Luke. Meanwhile, Luke was initially pursuing Margot Sisson , but she's interested in Harry Van Vliet . So, with Luke and Laura not getting what they wanted, they turned to each other. As some fans claimed, "trash attracts trash." But this temporary hookup was just that. After a drunken crew night out, they both went back to pursuing their initial interest, and they did so by crossing the line. Luke climbed into Margot's bed without consent. Margo, who was sleeping, was not clothed. After being terminated, Laura did not agree with the decision , but it was then revealed that she exhibited inappropriate behavior toward Adam , resulting in her immediate termination. It was an incredibly unfortunate situation, but fans were thrilled to see how Captain Jason triumphantly handled the situation.

1 Ashton Pienaar Almost Dies

Below deck season 6.

For the most part, Below Deck has portrayed the luxurious side of yachting. Rarely do things ever get dangerous. But Below Deck experienced one of the most shocking and near-fatal incidents during the sixth season of the flagship program. As Captain Lee Rosbach explained, they were within 30 seconds of him dying. As the motoryacht was leaving port in Tahiti, Ashton Pienaar was on the swim deck helping with the tow-line.

He unfortunately was standing in the wrong place at the wrong time as his foot got tangled in the line, dragging him overboard. Deckhand Rhylee Gerber radioed, "Man overboard," forcing the entire crew to jump into action. As it just so happened, it was cameraman Brent Freeburg who saved the day, dropping the camera and loosening the line for Ashton to free his leg. It was a horrifying sight to see, but illuminated the dangers on the high seas. At the Season 6 reunion, Ashton was greeted by the man who saved his life in a quite emotional moment. The job can be dangerous and Below Deck had to showcase all sides of reality.

Why Below Deck: Sailing Yacht is the Best Show You’re Not Watching

By: Author Paul Dailly

The Below Deck franchise is about to celebrate its 10th birthday on Bravo.

When the series sailed onto our screens in 2013, the idea that I'd still be invested a decade later didn't float.

The year is 2023, and any quasi-successful series has countless spinoffs, but it's rare for a spinoff to outshine the original.

Below Deck: Sailing Yacht Season 4 Cast

Enter Below Deck: Sailing Yacht , the dark horse of the franchise.

When the show kicked off in 2020, it was an utter disaster, with many believing it wouldn't survive into a second season.

Daisy Entertains Her Guests - Below Deck: Sailing Yacht

Thanks to more people at home due to COVID-19, the show garnered decent ratings.

Thankfully, Bravo understood that finding the right cast is the key to delivering drama worthy of the high seas.

Producers thought we were interested in watching a cast built around Below Deck: Mediterranean's Adam Glick, and it was hands down one of the worst seasons in franchise history — even worse than Below Deck: Adventure's sole, disastrous season.

Something tells me the latter will NOT see a second season, which is a shame because Below Deck: Sailing Yacht Season 2 rose like a phoenix from the ashes of its messy freshman season.

Daisy on Season 4 - Below Deck: Sailing Yacht

Below Deck: Sailing Yacht got a second shot at life, albeit with some big changes, and it's blossomed into the best show in the franchise and one of the best shows on TV.

The fun didn't really begin until Below Deck: Sailing Yacht Season 2, which revealed Glenn Shephard was the lone returning star from the freshman season as the captain of the Parsifal III.

We were introduced to Chief Stewardess Daisy Kelliher, Chief Engineer Colin Macrae, and First Officer Gary King, among others.

The trio remains on the series two seasons later for one reason:

Fans have connected with them.

Gary on Season 4 - Below Deck: Sailing Yacht

On the current Below Deck: Sailing Yacht Season 4 , fans have been given a front-row seat into what can only be described as a love triangle, complete with some twists and turns you'd expect to be reserved for primetime soap operas.

It's hard to take the love triangle seriously, but when you have Gary telling Daisy it's always been her after she moved on with Colin, it makes for great TV.

You do have to suspend your disbelief at some moments, including Daisy wrongly calling Colin Gary and the apparent fact that Colin didn't know about Daisy and Gary's past.

He clearly hasn't been watching Below Deck: Sailing Yacht online!

Memphis Garrett & Christmas Abbott: Big Brother Stars Shock Fans With News They Are Dating

33 Shamefully Addictive Reality Shows We Can’t Stop Watching!

We kid, mostly.

There have been questionable moments throughout this latest plot, but thanks to the nature of the show filming constantly, we're seeing all the nuances of how the trio and their inner circle are reacting.

Had this happened any other season, it would have probably been covered more extensively, but thanks to Scandoval , anything not named Vanderpump Rules is getting little coverage.

It's no secret that Daisy is off her game this season.

She was excellent at her job in her first two seasons, but she's starting to resemble Hannah from Below Deck Mediterranean in her final seasons, albeit far more approachable.

Colin Macrae - Below Deck: Sailing Yacht

The final episodes of the season will be critical to the show's future prospects, but it seems like the show is already filming another season of drama in Ibiza.

The question will be whether Daisy, Gary, and Colin will return after all the hoo-ha from on-board drama.

Glenn has been mostly unimpressed with the performance of Daisy and stewardesses Lucy Edmunds and Mads Herrera.

While the shows typically focus on the complicated dynamics between departments, there is quite a bit of unity between them this season.

Yes, there have been some blow-ups, but for the most part, the editing is taking us on a journey to show how far Daisy can push Glen, and I'm here for it.

Glenn Shephard - Below Deck: Sailing Yacht

Glenn has a reputation to keep up, and the most recent charter guests on the Bravo hit were less than impressed with the lack of service.

It's doubtful Glen would fire Daisy with the season beginning to wind down, but it's hard not to wonder how Daisy would fare if she was under the purview of Captain Sandy.

Sandy has a much different managing style than Glen, and something tells me she would have plenty to say about the current formation of the Parsifal III.

The beauty of Below Deck: Sailing Yacht has also been the charter guests.

Daisy Kelliher - Below Deck: Sailing Yacht

For some reason, the producers find more vocal guests than the other shows in the franchise.

My best guess is that the smaller nature of the Parsifal III in relation to the other shows is that it's a more confined space, leading to — you guessed it — more conflict.

On Below Deck: Sailing Yacht Season 4 kicked off with the boat being broken for the first charter, meaning the interior staff had to bend over backward to deliver the seven-star service.

In the charters since, we've had near-misses, guests talking to Glenn while he's trying to dock the boat, and a less than stellar service from the interior.

All these ingredients combined have allowed the season to keep Sailing Yacht as the finest show in the franchise.

With a handful of episodes remaining, it's hard to imagine things changing, but we're sure there's plenty of drama set to hit the seas.

I'm Convinced Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 Will Include Gary King In The Cast (Was It Filmed Before The Scandal?)

  • Gary King likely to appear in Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 despite troubling allegations.
  • Allegations of sexual misconduct against Gary surfaced between seasons, but he continued filming.
  • Season 5's release has been delayed, possibly due to editing Gary's presence in the show.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 is likely going to feature First Officer Gary King , despite the troubling allegations lodged against him during the show’s off-season. Throughout Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 , many were concerned about the increasingly troubling behavior of Gary, who’s been part of the show since season 2. While he’s always been somewhat of a playboy, Gary’s behavior with women got increasingly difficult to watch as he continued further along in his journey with the franchise. Confident in himself, Gary was open about what he was interested in, sometimes getting overly physical with women on deck.

While Gary’s behavior hasn’t always been over the top, there were some serious sexual misconduct allegations lodged against the Below Deck Sailing Yacht star after the last season of the series. Even though Gary was known to be somewhat concerning with women , Bravo continued with another season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht . In between the last season ending and the next season filming, allegations were made against Gary by a makeup artist that was hired by the series, and the account of her interactions with the First Officer gave viewers pause about seeing him on another season of the show.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.

Gary Has Always Had A Bad Reputation

Throughout his time on Below Deck Sailing Yacht , Gary has been one of the more difficult yachties to pin down. While he's been fun in some instances, the majority of Gary's time on the show has been spent showing off his womanizer tendencies. Whether it's flirting with the women aboard the sailing yacht as charter guests, being somewhat too touchy with his fellow crew, or bragging about things he's done outside of the scope of the superyacht, Gary's always been known for his scandalous relationships with women . As he's moved through the series, his behavior has become increasingly uncomfortable.

Though viewers were willing to accept Gary as a part of the crew early on in the series, as the show evolved, he became more of a problem for the people around him which in turn became more disturbing to watch. During Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 , Gary's behavior towards Mads Herrera was troubling for some viewers. Even before the allegations of sexual misconduct, Gary was a struggle for some viewers to get behind , and after the accusations became public, many called for his removal from the series.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 Filmed Despite Allegations

While the allegations against Gary were serious, Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 had already begun filming when they became public. Though Gary's behavior throughout the series could've been enough of a red flag to remove him from the crew, he was kept on as First Officer on Parsifal III, which means his appearance in the next season of the series is inevitable. While many Below Deck viewers have taken issue with Gary's behavior in the past , it wasn't taken seriously in the years that the show has been on, but with serious allegations afoot, very little can be done.

Gary's appearance on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 was confirmed early on in the filming process by the First Officer himself, who shared on Instagram that the show was filming another season. While Bravo distanced themselves from Gary after the allegations came out, they only seemed to care to do so after audiences called for Gary's removal from a BravoCon lineup, as well as the show itself. Though the network has taken action, some still feel like it's too little, too late considering Gary was a part of the already filmed Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 .

Gary Is Likely Too Baked Into The Season To Be Edited Out

Many have been curious as to what's taking so long for Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 to be released, as the show has been finished filming for nearly a year. While there has been enough time and space for the editing team to put together a normal season of Below Deck , there's likely a much bigger challenge when it comes to Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5. Knowing that Gary's featured in the season , many have speculated that the editors have been hopeful they'd be able to remove Gary from the show as much as possible to save face.

While Gary has been heavily featured in every other season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht , he'll likely be edited out of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 as much as he can be. Even with the power of editing, though, Gary has been a major part of the series and was likely one of the major story points of the season. It doesn't seem likely to me that he'll be able to get removed from the show in most facets without the season being entirely re-filmed. Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 will be fascinating when it finally comes out.

Night in Venice Turns Ocean City into “Margaritaville”

ocean city yacht club

By MADDY VITALE

Others enjoy the parade from private house parties decorated with this year’s theme.

Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham and his family were special guests and appeared in the boat parade. Graham rode along on a boat and waved to the crowd, but also added in the “E-A-G-L-E-S” cheer.

The Unique Burial of a Child of Early Scythian Time at the Cemetery of Saryg-Bulun (Tuva)

<< Previous page

Pages:  379-406

In 1988, the Tuvan Archaeological Expedition (led by M. E. Kilunovskaya and V. A. Semenov) discovered a unique burial of the early Iron Age at Saryg-Bulun in Central Tuva. There are two burial mounds of the Aldy-Bel culture dated by 7th century BC. Within the barrows, which adjoined one another, forming a figure-of-eight, there were discovered 7 burials, from which a representative collection of artifacts was recovered. Burial 5 was the most unique, it was found in a coffin made of a larch trunk, with a tightly closed lid. Due to the preservative properties of larch and lack of air access, the coffin contained a well-preserved mummy of a child with an accompanying set of grave goods. The interred individual retained the skin on his face and had a leather headdress painted with red pigment and a coat, sewn from jerboa fur. The coat was belted with a leather belt with bronze ornaments and buckles. Besides that, a leather quiver with arrows with the shafts decorated with painted ornaments, fully preserved battle pick and a bow were buried in the coffin. Unexpectedly, the full-genomic analysis, showed that the individual was female. This fact opens a new aspect in the study of the social history of the Scythian society and perhaps brings us back to the myth of the Amazons, discussed by Herodotus. Of course, this discovery is unique in its preservation for the Scythian culture of Tuva and requires careful study and conservation.
