2. iguana commuter.

Described as “the best amphibious boat ever made”, Iguana Yachts’ Commuter is certainly an impressive tender. With many high-tech features including a pop-out sunroof, impressive speed, and drive-on beach capability. It’s also a very striking vessel, with a strong minimalistic look that feels very futuristic yet still classic, making it one of the coolest Superyacht tenders.

3. Chaser 500CC

Other features of the Chaser vessel include convenient water access, fishing equipment, abundant storage, an incredibly comfortable bedroom and bathroom, and a high-end galley.

4. Vikal 19m Dive Tender

This 18.8m (62ft) Dive Tender is the largest and most comprehensively equipped power boat ever fitted to a Private Motor Yacht. She is kept in a specially designed dry dock in the transom of the Owners Superyacht. Equipped with water jet drive and MTU engines, this Dive Tender will deliver a blistering 40 knots of speed in deep or shallow water. This tender was one of three Vikal tenders built for the Superyacht.

5. Flying Fox – Windy Boats Limousine Tender

Many people agree that the Windy Luxury Limo Tender is a “game-changer.” Espen Øino, a well-known yacht industry designer, and the Windy Yacht Projects Division worked together to create the luxury boat. With a top speed of 45 knots and two D-3 220hp Volvo sterndrives, this 8-meter luxury tender is designed with an exquisite low profile. As well as, a high capacity for ship-to-shore duties. It can accommodate up to ten passengers and two crew members.

6. lekker 44.

The Lekker 44, a brand-new model, is being added to Lekker Boats’ fleet this summer. Regardless of the weather, this seaworthy speed demon is ideal for multi-day excursions. With three strong engines, it can travel at a speed of more than 50 knots (92 km/h). 16 people can go together on a trip, and 4 people can spend the night in the cozy cabin. For all the captains out there who have a good sense of design, a desire for adrenaline, and a soft place for comfort, this is a must-have tender.

7. M/Y Amaryllis – 9.9m Graf Ipanema Wooden Tender

Graf’s beautiful Ipanema yacht tender is a truly beautiful vessel. With a striking runabout made of mahogany wood, she exudes luxury and elegance. Her look harkens back to past eras and brings to mind iconic characters such as James Bond, who could easily be imagined sipping on a martini aboard this beauty. 8. zeelander z72.

The Zeelander Z72, which debuted in March 2019, is the largest Zeelander model to date. Together with Cor D. Rover, the Zeelander in-house design team produced the yacht’s striking appearance.

The vessel offers a contemporary interpretation of traditional elegance by fusing Superyacht finishing with Zeelander’s iconic distinctive S-shaped sheer line. It can reach a top speed of almost 40 knots with three 1,000 horsepower IPS 1350 engines, whilst being quieter than many smaller models. To make guests’ trips the height of luxury, the Z72 has a panoramic saloon, beach club cabana, and even a tender garage.

Superyacht Water Toys & Tenders

Enjoy endless fun on the glittering waves

Whilst on board a private yacht charter, guests can keep as active or relaxed as desired. Many yachts host an array of water toys and tenders, meaning guests can take to the glistening waves of the ocean whenever an impulsive mood strikes. With more yachts carrying more toys than ever before, there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy.

A "Water toy" is a term used to describe anything you can use to have fun on the water. There are endless possibilities for water sports on a yacht charter with an array of toys to choose from, such as wakeboards, waverunners, kayaks and seabobs to name but a few. It is almost unheard of for a charter yacht not to carry any water toys and modern charter yachts are beginning to carry them in absolute abundance. Some yachts offer an inflatable slide which is an absolute must have for families with children or guests who are simply big kids at heart. With some slides boasting a 45 degree drop, riders can experience different ways of launching down the slide at exhilarating speeds.

The term "tender" refers to a small boat often carried aboard a charter yacht which can be used to transport guests to and from the shore whilst eliminating any concerns of mooring in marinas and additional berthing fees. A tender can be used in conjunction with a variety of water toys meaning whilst the tender is driven by a crew member, guests can take turns to ride behind on an array of towable inflatable toys.

For those eager to delve into the underwater playground some yachts offer scuba diving equipment which, providing you have the relevant licenses and certificates, can be used to explore the world beneath the waves. For those who do not hold the relevant licenses and certificates, rendezvous diving can sometimes be arranged for your charter party at an additional cost.

From windsurfers to kitesurfers and inflatable toys and water slides, a yacht charter offers an assortment of water toys to suit each and every guest. For those looking for an adrenaline fuelled vacation, ensure your chosen yacht is jam packed with water toys and you are clued up on any license requirements before taking to the waves.

Charter guests will never tire of things to do whether you're watching from the sun deck or taking to the water. If you thought yacht charter was all sun bathing and sight-seeing; think again.

92m hybrid electric Feadship Drizzle delivered to owner

The 91.8-metre Feadship superyacht Drizzle has now been delivered following successful sea trials in June. According to BOATPro , her final destination is Malta, an archipelago in the central Mediterranean. 

The superyacht was last seen departing from the shipyard's facilities in Amsterdam (13 June). Built for a repeat Feadship owner who came to the project with "informed requests based on his long experience of yachting", Drizzle 's design is by Dutch studio Sinot and the owner's related design office.

Characterised by chamfered exterior contours and a more traditional flared bow, the yacht has a modern-classic style with naval architecture by Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects . Notably, she is the first Feadship to carry full Hybrid Electric Class notation.

Drizzle 's interior is designed to reflect an "understated family home" with natural materials and finishes throughout. Accommodation is found on the main deck, along with the large pool and open-air lounge shaded by the deckhead overhang.

Meanwhile, the owner's suite, family lounge and wellness area are situated on the upper decks. Up top, the sundeck serves as an observation vantage point with a forward-facing sofa and sun loungers, while the aft deck is used for storing two rescue tenders.

One of the owner's key requirements in building the yacht was to house a more spacious beach club in the stern, which occupies one-quarter of the total length of the lower deck. The large, fixed stern platform combines with two fold-down platforms to create 165 square metres of water-level lounging space. Sweeping staircases on either side of the stern platform lead to the main deck aft. 

Between the engine room and the beach club is a side-loading garage with room for two 10-metre tenders, a ski boat and various water toys. Forward is the crew area, comprising the galley, crew mess and crew accommodation.

Drizzle carries full Hybrid Electric Class notation, the power package comprising two main engines and shaft-driven fixed pitch propellers, coupled with electric motors of 560kW each and 1MW of Li-ion batteries. The e-motors work as shaft generators to produce electricity to serve the hotel load or recharge the battery bank, as well as for low-speed navigation while the generators or batteries generate the required electrical power.

Albert Abma, Feadship project manager, commented on the launch in April: "Working with the experienced owner, designers and owner's team has been a professional pleasure. Gathering the operational experience of the owner's team with the yard’s building experience has resulted in this modern-classic, state-of-art and full-custom new Feadship".

The news comes closely after the first proper sighting of Project 713 , Feadship's first solar powered superyacht. She is now preparing for sea trials.
