NEWPORT BEACH — It extends 98 feet and has five staterooms, twin diesel engines, three refrigerators, five freezers and television sets placed throughout. This weekend, it will be up for sale in Newport Harbor for a hefty sum of $5.75 million.

Even for a millionaire boat enthusiast, the Cielo Mare, manufactured by Queenship and exhibited by Hallmark Yacht and Ship Brokers, is a challenge for the checkbook. Still, Don Franken, the spokesman for the 30th annual Lido Yacht Expo, wouldn’t be surprised if the vessel sells by Sunday afternoon.

“Ninety-eight feet is a mega-yacht,” Franken said Wednesday as the last few boats docked for this weekend’s extravaganza at Lido Marina Village. “There’s not many people who can afford one of those. Although in Newport Beach, more than in most places.”

Big sums of money are passed around every year at the Lido Yacht Expo, which is expected to showcase about 250 boats this weekend. The boats and accessories in the show total about $250 million in worth, Franken said. And with a tugboat being auctioned off by the OCC School of Sailing & Seamanship, there’s no telling how high the revenues may climb.

In short, the vast majority of people who attend the four-day expo will likely be priced out of the inventory. For four days, though, the show organizers are giving the public a taste of life on board million-dollar vessels for an admission price of only $12.

“There aren’t a lot of places you can go to look at big boats,” said Duncan McIntosh, the show’s co-producer, who also runs the Newport Boat Show annually in the spring. “Most of the boat shows you see are in convention centers.”

A number of the boats on display in the expo are still for sale this weekend, but many have also been presold. Garret Martin, the owner of McKinna Yachts, is debuting his 69-foot Skylounge model in Newport Beach. The $2.4-million boat, which offers four refrigerators, four staterooms and a 42-inch plasma TV, recently sold to a buyer in Huntington Beach. Dealer John Olson said he signed over his $3.6-million 80-foot Offshore Pilot House to a couple in Oregon.

McIntosh, who lives in Newport Beach and owns the boating publication Sea Magazine, said he only owns a pair of small work boats right now, but he still gets more than enough time on the water.

“People often offer me a boat to use, so I have the best of both worlds,” he said. “It’s like being a grandparent. You can drop the kids off at the end of the day.”

Marmaris, which connects the Aegean with the Mediterranean, is flooded with visitors, especially in the summer months. One of the biggest reasons for this is its magnificent bays that are unique anywhere. Beautiful bays where you can witness every shade of blue are an indispensable location for those who want to have a holiday experience in touch with nature. Cielo Mare gulet serves you in Marmaris Hisarönü bays, departing from Marmaris Bozburun port. It is a gulet in the deluxe gulet class and has 2 masters and 3 doubles. and has 1 twin cabin architecture. Although each cabin has its own, there are 6 bathrooms and toilets in total. Cielo Mare gulet has a length of 26 meters and a width of 7.30 meters. It has a total capacity of 12 guests. This boat is rented for 6 days and 6 nights, with Saturday check-in and Friday check-out, during the high season of July and August. It can be rented for a minimum of 3 nights or more during low season months.Our boat departs from Marmaris Bozburun port and cruises and anchors in Selimiye, Bozburun, Orhaniye, Söğüt and Marmaris bays. It provides service with its 5 personnel. Check-in time to our boat is 15:00 and check-out time is 10:00 the next morning of your last night. Our boat has equipment such as air conditioning, TV, wifi, music sound system, canoe, generator, water sports. If you want, you can do your food and drink shopping yourself or by contacting our boat cook. Once you have determined your list, our boat team can supply it on your behalf.

Motor Yacht

At 127 feet the Cielo Mare, launched in 2009, is one of the largest sportfishing boats in the world. She was built for discerning and experienced owners in California that love to fish and want adequate room for their growing extended family. It was also a priority to have good accommodations for their crew. The majority of Cielo Mare’s composite structure was built using vacuum resin infusion and as a result the boat was 20,000 lbs light when she launched – which improved her performance and increased her capacity for storage and supplies.

Cielo Mare is the second largest yacht ever built in Port Townsend. She was an international project, with interior components shipped from Canada, engines built in Germany, and engineering services provided by Hi Modulus in New Zealand. And we also drew extensively from the pool of skilled artists and trades people in the Port Townsend Area with custom stainless work provided by Meridian Marine and Northwind and fantastic art glass for the doors by Jerry Perrett.
