Meet the Crew

Kris was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He grew up fishing off the local piers and beaches and had a summer job as a teenager, working as a mate on a fishing boat.

At 19, he began working as a line cook and a couple years later enrolled in the French Culinary Institute. He went on to work as the head chef for restaurants around the world, opening 6 restaurants from NYC to the USVI, Bangkok, and Hong Kong. One of his favorite cuisines is from Thailand, where he spent 5 years as a chef in Bangkok and where he taught scuba diving in Southern Thailand.

While living in St. John, Kris first learned to scuba dive and was hooked instantly. During his final open water training dive, a large dolphin swam up and did circles around him. Kris decided he wanted to spend as much time in the water as possible. He figured the best way to do so would be to become a Scuba Instructor. He worked for several years teaching and guiding dives on liveaboard boats in Thailand, Hawaii, and the Cayman Islands, and eventually worked his way up to becoming a Captain. ..read more

Originally from Brooklyn, NY Aneta was raised by parents who prioritized travel - she had her first passport at two months old! Growing up in NYC she was surrounded by all the different types of cuisines available to her right down the block. This and her travels have inspired her cooking and love for food. She likes to take inspiration from the surrounding culture and environment. Onboard you will find combinations of Caribbean, Southeast Asian and European flavors. Her dream has been to one day open a restaurant (already having a full menu created for her concept since in college).

Aneta has a marketing degree with a minor in fine arts from Pace University. She has studied abroad in Australia, lived and backpacked throughout New Zealand and has worked in Denali National Park in Alaska. She has circumnavigated Manhattan by kayak, guided kayak trips on the East River, and ran the NYC marathon twice. She is also on track to become a Divemaster before the 2022/23 season. Her most exciting diving experience so far was swimming with Tiger Sharks and schools of Hammerheads in Cocos Islands.

Before joining the charter industry, she had worked in NYC for 5 years as an event and hospitality coordinator where she curated luxury travel experiences and events that went into auction throughout the US. She loves the tourism industry and being involved in creating a memorable vacation for her guests.

Dear Aneta & Kris, Thank you both for an amazing experience in the BVI’s! We were celebrating my husband´s retirement and my youngest son’s 25th Birthday and could not have picked a better location and boat! We visited so many beautiful islands and had many happy hours at the many island bars. The food on the boat was amazing, we had restaurant quality (even better!) for breakfast, lunch & dinner! We had incredible stay on ScubaDoo and enjoyed a sinful week of absolute relaxation. If you are a fan of incredible food, non-stop drinks, wonderful music, constant snorkeling in the azure waters of the Caribbean, and wonderful hosts, then Scuba-Doo is your thing. Thank you for an incredible experience aboard the Scuba Doo Yacht Charter! From the moment we set sail, Kris & Aneta’s warmth and hospitality created a welcoming atmosphere that made our USVI trip unforgettable. They went above and beyond in all aspects of the trip, from recommending the best snorkelling & dive spots to finding the perfect mooring ball in the cove for us to spend the night. The attention to detail and care they put into everything they do was greatly appreciated! Aneta prepared delicious and beautifully plated meals & desserts for us each day - accompanied by the ocean breeze, you can’t beat it! Also, a must do on Scuba Doo was setting up the floating dock to enjoy the sunsets while sipping on some of Kris´s signature Painkiller cocktails! And finally, I had the opportunity to complete my Open Water Dive certification course with Kris. He was an amazing instructor, ensuring I felt safe and showed us some of USVI’s best dive sites. We saw a ship wreck, lots of fish, turtles, stingrays, and a nurse shark! Thank you both again for an amazing trip! - Nick We have just returned from a tremendously memorable trip to USVI with Scuba Doo! Kris and Aneta were the most welcoming crew and they had pampered us with delicious food, drinks, and activities. We had always woken up to the fragrant smell of breakfast. You could expect freshly baked waffles or cinnamon buns on the table waiting for you. Kris took us around different parts of the islands and we had the opportunity to see all sorts of sea life as well as landscapes. As a Jack of all trades, he could be a Captain, a chef, and a fisherman. He caught a black fin tuna on our trip and fed us the best grilled tuna steak for dinner. He also made sure we had a worry-free trip as he worked tirelessly around the boat to ensure all parts of the boat are well maintained. It´s been a week since our BVI catamaran vacation aboard the Scuba Doo. The vacation high is over, and I finally have time to relay our thoughts. As soon as we three couples boarded Scuba Doo, we knew it was going to be an epic week. Several of us had previously been on a catamaran in the BVI two other times through other companies. We knew what to expect, and what we preferred to do...or so we thought. Kris and Aneta - WOW - you two were beyond amazing! Your attention to detail, sharing of stories and finding new places for us to explore exceeded our expectations. We had just enough activities and relaxation times to please the entire group. Snorkeling and floating at the Caves and Indians and also at two coves new to us was perfect. The two divers of the group were able to get their fill of diving without interfering with the rest of the group plans. ´Bubbles Up!´ Kris was also patient and attentive when one of us went on a discovery dive for the first time. Aneta and Kris also know their way around the kitchen! We did not go hungry and thoroughly enjoyed all the meals, and treats in the ´Dome of Yum´. Our highlights are The Baths, Conch Island Tour in Anegada and Saba Rock. Kris and Aneta were troopers for our White Party wine tasting dinner and Scuby Doo night. Oh the laughs! Kris & Aneta, Thank you for an amazing honeymoon/family vacation excursion in the USVI/BVI´s. The diving & dining experience was absolutely top notch. Cocktail hour was always spot on. No one can agree on what was best, mojitos, Manhattans, passion fruit margaritas or bushwhackers. How good was the 50th birthday celebration? Perfect! It is now the birthday by which all other birthdays will be measured. Where else can you get a champagne toast and a light up squid hat? Only on Scuba Doo. Diving from the boat every day was a huge highlight. You found dive sites that were a great fit for our group and made it work with all the best island side trips. Kris & Aneta, Another day in paradise! This was an incredible week and time went by way too quickly. I easily got used to the morning swim, endless snorkeling, and the most amazing food. The diving was rich with beautiful coral, fish, lobsters, turtles, and rays. We loved the peaceful sailing, made even more fantastic by the playful dolphin that visited us. The captains’ cocktails were a treat – from painkillers to espresso martinis. You are both amazing at what you do! You were informative before the trip and your guidance during the trip made everyday filled with fun. Your energy and positivity is a joy to be around! Love, The Prevost Family Best Family Trip – I cannot say enough about our excellent experience with Michelle Heyns of Epic Yacht Charters and our crew on the Scuba Doo, Perhaps the best all-around family trip we’ve taken! Booking the charter with Michelle was easy and seamless. She is knowlegable, available and held our hands through every step of the process. Highly recommend! Our family of five (my wife and I and three daughters, ages 15, 12, and 8) chartered Scuba Doo, a 50-foot catamaran, for a week in early March for our spring break. It was PERFECT. The captain Kris and the first mate/chef Aneta were all we could have hoped for. Kris is a top-notch captain and had everything under control on the boat at all times. He’s a skilled sailor and walked us through the plan for each day. He was very helpful with our daughters and skillfully guided them on/off the dinghy when we went ashore. Kris also made some great “captain cocktail” specials for happy hour for the whole family. Really was the ideal captain. Aneta is so thoughtful and somehow turns out gourmet fine-dining quality meals from that tiny little kitchen. Three wonderful meals each day, with great variety. Honestly, the meals were so good there was no reason to have lunch or dinner ashore. My wife and I are sort of “foodies” and we were highly impressed throughout the week. We did a mix of USVI and BVI, which was perfect. Something to do each day – or nothing to do if you prefer! Island adventures, snorkeling, beach days or just cruising. Overall, our week on Scuba Doo with Kris and Aneta was probably the best family trip we’ve had. We very much hope we’ll be able to book with them again! -Ben & Britt

I booked Scuba Doo with Captain Kris and Chef Aneta for my girlfriend and me to get some scuba diving in and to show my girlfriendthe BVI. Kris and Chef were amazing and by the time the trip was over, I believe that I can count them as friends. The food Aneta made was delicious and Kris was a great dive master/instructor as well as a superb bartender. Kris and Aneta even went above and beyond to fulfill a special beach bonfire evening that I requested. You and I both know that the success of a charter is greatly dependent upon the crew of the charter, and I can say this trip was extremely successful!! Everyone has written about Aneta’s meals and Kris’s Activities and while all that applies, the richness of spending 7 nights 8 days with them was priceless and beyond delightful! It was our pleasure to get to know you both more than just “crew.” You two are rich beyond your understanding and my prayer is that you cultivate that so you can continue to spread your joy with others! Aneta & Kris, Thank you for the most fantastic week! It was the perfect way to kidnap my family and create once in a lifetime memories. The meals were delicious. I am amazed by the food Aneta poofs out of the small corner kitchen – small but mighty! The activities while onboard were pletiful, some lazy & some active – the perfect balance for us. On that note, thank you for resurrecting my scuba career! 25 years dormant!! I will cherish the map and recall each amazing detail when I look at it. This trip has been a dream of mine for years – the reality was even better than I dreamed. Special thanks to the patience with late rising teenagers, accommodating picky eaters, being Cowboy fans!! and being able to stream the game! Dec 2022 BVI Charter

Captain Kris and Anetta were fantastic on all aspects. The boat was amazing - super-comfortable and we’ll-equipped. I loved the layout of the salon, with the u-shaped sofa and middle console. We had all meals out on the deck - never really used the salon but I liked the open floor plan that made it seem more spacious. All of our rooms were comfortable with good mattresses and nice, efficient bathrooms. The food was delicious - and it wasn’t easy with our dietary preferences and restrictions. All meals were delicious and well-presented. Anetta did a great job making Maddie’s meals replicate ours but vegan. And she even baked a chocolate birthday cake for Lauren (along with presenting her with an bottle of champagne and a map of the BVI with our journey charted on it). So thoughtful. Kris and Anetta joined us for dinner at Saba Rock one evening and it was much fun. We snorkeled a ton - saw some sea turtles, sting rays, lots of amazing fish, including a few barracuda, awesome coral. Kris helped a fisherman rescue an Eagle ray from his net that Jay and Maddie found while kayaking - a happy ending to a potential for a bad outcome. We hit great beaches and some of our top must-sees - Norman Island, Willy T’s (where Jay became somewhat famous for doing about 8 backflips from the top deck - people we saw at other islands said “Hey, you’re the backflip dude!”) the Baths, Cooper Island, the bubbly pools, the North Sound, and Caneel Bay. It was an amazing week and something we will all remember for a very long time. Thank you for everything you did to make it happen and make it amazing.

Kris & Aneta, We had an amazing charter with you through the BVI! This trip was our familys first trip together in 7 years! We really enjoyed the entire trip but daily highlights include: St. John – snorkeling with the turtles! Jay becoming famous at Willy T’s for his backflips, (#backflipboy #willytsbackflipboy). Kris rescuing an eagle ray from the fisherman’s net – good karma for that! Thank you again for orchestrating such a beautiful birthday celebration for Lauren (24!). Aneta is an amazing chef – every meal was a standout! We especially loved the Jerk Caribbean Chicken, Sesame Tuna, and Snapper! Eggs Benedict, Taco Tuesday and the banana pancakes were also a hit. Thanksgiving 2022 BVI Charter

Kris & Aneta, Each day was an Adventure – a balm for the soul and an exercise in practicing daily gratitude. You guys make an incredible team! Not only were we well taken care of but we were fed like kings. We are forever changed by this trip. It’s a rare thing these days to stop and disconnect from the fast-paced world we live in and spend real quality time with friends and family. We are glad you were part of this. Cammi and Charlie, First of all, ´Thank you´ will never be able to describe how grateful our entire group is for this pas week. With that being said... THANK YOU!! Cammi, Your work ethic and desire to make everything perfect is incredible. Every meal was incredible-delicious, beautiful, filling, awesome! The running joke is that we were never hungry on this trip. We probably ate less this week than we normally do and that was because every meal was perfect. You were also patient, flexible, and understanding with us. Thank you!! Charlie, You are the man! You taught us more about boats, sailing, snorkeling, diving, and reef/sea creatures than we could ever learn in a lifetime. We also asked more questions than we could in a lifetime and you answered every one. New Years 2021 Charter USVI

Charlie and Cammi, What a fantastic week! Thank you for everything. We sailed around Saint John and a couple of coves on Saint Thomas. We started the week pretty timid about the water and ended with lots of growth. Ava and Ian went snorkeling at every stop seeing a nurse shark, reef shark, sting rays, a squid, and lots of fish. The nights where the underwater lights were allowed lit up large tarpin and smaller fish. Megans Bay and Christmas Cove were our favorites. Megans because of the beautiful yachts and night lights and Christmas Cove for the snorkeling and pizza boat. Charlie´s knowledge of all things sailing and Cammi´s amazing cooking were definite highlights making for a fun, relaxing vacation. Captain Charlie and Cammi - What a great week it´s been on Scuba Doo! Thank you for going above and beyond to make this a special week for us, especially the kids. The rocky trip to St Croix, swimming with the turtles, the beach day at Scott´s beach, the tarpon at night, the day at Buck Island - too many fun days to pick a favorite. We circumnavigated St John ~ Hiking, snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, reading, snoozing, paddle boarding and drinking and eating while we were spoiled by Cammie and Charlie. Highlights included snorkeling with turtles, swam with a nurse shark, hiking to the sugar mills and to the top of the mountain overlooking Caneel Bay....and the grand finale of a day on the beach at Caneel. All four of us are so so appreciative that the charter company and the boat owner were so flexible about changing the date because of illness. We realize that this was a choice, and we are eternally grateful. We particular loved the diving from the boat, and Charlie is a great dive master and made diving so easy. He also sensitively helped one of us who was recovering from surgery get back in the swim of things, and made sure she was comfortably part of all activities. Cammi is an amazing cook, serving healthy and delicious food at every meal. We need that curried chicken recipe! Cammi and Charlie are the perfect hosts for this kind of trip - expert sailors, so we always felt in good hands, so accommodating to our wishes each day, funny, kind and delightful. This was the perfect vacation. When we booked, we just randomly selected Great Adventure, how lucky were we??? Charlie and Cammi were the best crew we could have asked for!! They treated us like royalty. We felt so lucky each day. Diving with Charlie was exciting, but at the same time so peaceful. He has a calming way about him and we felt safe with him. Each site he took us to was different, but equally beautiful. The food, well what can I say, Cammi was a great cook. Each meal was beautifully presented and delicious. She also finished them off with a yummy dessert. I´m still wondering how she did it all on our boat. I wish I could let you know which one was better than the other but all the food was wonderful! Both Cammi and Charlie were so knowledgeable about, our surroundings and environments, sailing, diving, they were so informative. Cammi and Charlie we really can´t thank you enough. You are so kind and well caring. We will definitely do this again because of your wonderful hospitality. If you move to a bigger boat we will follow! We will have to visit you in Newport! THESE TERMS ALSO CONTAIN A LEGALLY BINDING RELEASE, WAIVER OF LIABILITY, AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK. By creating a username, a login, clicking submit, using the services of Charter Experts, LLC d/b/a Virgin Island Sailing® (“ Broker ) or by accessing Broker’s website, you agree that you have read, and acknowledge your acceptance of these Terms. The Terms are subject to change at any time without notice at Broker’s sole discretion. Additionally, any transaction for which you have made payment shall be governed by the form of Terms in effect at the time of such payment notwithstanding any subsequent changes hereto.

If you are obtaining a quote, information, booking travel for and/or securing or procuring a Charter (as that term is defined in Section 1 below) for more than just yourself, all references below to “Charterer” or “you” (and derivations thereof) shall be read to mean you on behalf of yourself and each individual within your group for whom you are obtaining a quote, information, booking travel for and/or securing or procuring Charter.

These Terms shall be read together and construed, to the fullest extent possible, to be in concert with any other agreement by or among Broker and Charterer. To the extent they cannot be so construed, then in the event of any direct conflict between these Terms and any other agreement by or among Broker and Charterer (including but not limited to the agreement executed by Charterer for a Charter Reservation (as that term is defined in Section 1 below), these Terms shall prevail.

• Prepaid Charter Reservations . Typically, Broker negotiates charter rates in advance with the yacht owner or charter company (“ Charter Provider ”) to obtain cost-effective rates, and facilitate reservations and availability for yacht charters, excursions and travel (the “ Charter ”). Broker also provides services to you by facilitating the booking of reservations for consideration and receives a commission from the Charter Provider (the “ Broker Fee ”). The Broker Fee is included in the pre-negotiated Charter rate provided to you, plus taxes and other fees where applicable. You agree that your payment is for the total amount set forth in the applicable Charter agreement (which Charter Provider may refer to as a Charter Contract, Charter Agreement, Booking Terms & Conditions, Instructions and Terms for Accommodations, as well as other derivations) provided to you by Broker (“ Charter Agreement ”). Upon execution of the Charter Agreement and receipt of the applicable deposit, you will have made a reservation for the Charter that authorizes Broker to facilitate the Charter on your behalf (“Charter Reservation”), including making payment arrangements with the Charter Provider. You further agree that Broker is a third-party beneficiary to the Charter Agreement and shall have the right to enforce such agreement to the extent it deems such enforcement necessary or advisable to protect its rights hereunder or under the Charter Agreement.

  Broker retains the Broker Fee as compensation in arranging your Charter Reservation. The Broker Fee varies based on the amount and type of Charter and/or services provided by Broker.  By making a Charter Reservation, you accept and agree to the relevant cancellation and no-show policy of the Charter Provider set forth in the Charter Agreement. Cancellation and no-show policies vary for each Charter. Carefully read the Charter Agreement and additional information provided to you by Broker. It is expressly agreed by Charterer that the Broker Fee is earned at the time the Charter Reservation is made. Late payment, wrong credit card or debit card details, invalid credit or debit cards, or insufficient funds are for your own risk and account, and you will not be entitled to any refund of any prepaid amount unless the Charter Provider expressly agrees otherwise under the Charter Agreement or in some other signed writing.

• Charter Rules and Restrictions . Additional terms and agreements will apply to your Charter Reservation and any purchase or rental of equipment or other items, supplies, provisions and travel you may select. Please read those additional terms carefully. In particular, if you have purchased airfare, please ensure that you read the full terms and conditions of carriage issued by the supplier. You agree to abide by the terms of purchase imposed by any supplier with whom you elect to deal, including but not limited to payment of all amounts when due and compliance with the supplier’s rules and restrictions regarding availability, charges, fares, and use of products and services.
• Payment . All payments must be made by personal check, bank/wire transfer, ACH payment and/or with a major credit card unless otherwise expressly stated. The total price for the Charter Reservation will be billed in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise stated. Some banks and credit card companies impose fees for international transactions. If you are making a reservation from outside of the United States on a US credit card, your bank may convert the payment amount to your local currency and charge you a conversion fee. This means the amount listed on your credit or bank card statement may be in your local currency and therefore a different figure than the amount provided by Broker for the Charter Reservation. In addition, a foreign transaction fee may be assessed if the financial institution that issued your credit card is located outside of the United States. Booking international travel may be considered to be an international transaction by the financial institution or card company. The currency exchange rate and foreign transaction fee is determined solely by your financial institution on the day that it processes the transaction. If you have any questions about these fees or the exchange rate applied to your booking, please contact your financial institution. Broker shall not be liable to you for any such service, conversion, or exchange fee.

  Broker expressly reserves the right to cancel your Charter Reservation if full payment is not timely received as set forth in the Charter Agreement.

• Cancellation and Rescheduling . You may cancel or change your Charter Reservation as set forth in the Charter Agreement by and among you, the Charter Provider and/or Broker. Please note that some Charter Providers do not permit changes to or cancellation of reservations after they are made, or after a certain date, as indicated in the Charter Agreement. You agree to abide by the terms of the Charter Agreement with respect to your Charter Reservation. Broker will not be responsible for reimbursing Charterer for any previously tendered deposits or payments by Charterer and disclaims all liability for the failure of a Charter Provider to refund or return any such funds.
• Credit Card Transactions and Chargebacks . If for any reason, any Charter Provider is unable to provide the Charter, or any part thereof, for which you have contracted, your remedy lies against the Charter Provider, and not against Broker. However, Broker will use reasonable efforts to assist you and Charter Provider in reaching a resolution to a dispute between you and the Charter Provider. In the event that your payment has already been transferred from Broker to Charter Provider or to an escrow account, you agree that you will not seek a chargeback against Broker for such amounts transferred. You further agree to indemnify and hold Broker harmless from and against any liability, loss, damage or expense (including without limitation, reasonable attorneys’ fees) that Broker may incur in connection with chargebacks against Broker or under the Charter Agreement and your performance thereunder. If Broker incurs any costs, including but not limited to attorneys’ fees, to recover any payments charged back by your credit card company or other financial institution, you agree that you will be liable for these costs. If your payment is declined for any reason, you agree to settle any amounts owed to Broker via money order, cashier’s check, personal check or bank/ACH transfer immediately.
• Broker Responsibility . Broker makes arrangements with the Charter Provider. Broker additionally makes additional arrangements with other suppliers for the various components and other services that comprise your Charter (“Charter Suppliers”). Broker is not an agent of these Charter Providers or the Charter Suppliers (and the Charter Providers and Charter Suppliers are not agents of Broker). Broker expressly disclaims any liability for the actions or omissions of the Charter Provider and the Charter Suppliers. The Charter Providers and the Charter Suppliers reserve the right to refuse service to you at their sole discretion. Broker assumes no liability for the acts of the Charter Provider or the Charter Suppliers in refusing service. Broker is not responsible for schedule changes and does not offer compensation for those changes. Broker is not responsible under any circumstances for any injury or damages you may suffer, in connection with sea, air or ground transportation, hotel accommodations, or other travel or excursion services arranged by Broker.

  You understand Broker is not the source or supplier of the Charter or other travel services you requested and acts solely as a broker for the Charter Provider and the Charter Suppliers. You agree that the Charter Provider and Charter Suppliers whose names appear in the information supplied to you are those who are solely responsible for providing the Charter you purchase. You consent to and request the use of the Charter Provider and the Charter Suppliers and agree to not hold Broker responsible should any of them: (i) fail to provide the Charter or travel services you purchased, whether or not such services are listed in the Charter Agreement or otherwise, (ii) fail to comply with any applicable law, or (iii) engage in any negligent act or omission that causes you any sort of injury, damage, delay or inconvenience.

By using Broker’s services, you waive and release any claim against Broker, its affiliated and subsidiary companies, and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents, arising out of or in connection with any loss of or damage to property or injury to any person caused by reason of (i) any defect, negligence, or other wrongful act or omission, or any failure of performance of any kind, by any Charter Provider, Charter Suppliers, or any other provider of sea, airline, hotel, ground transportation or any other travel provider connected to or otherwise associated with the Charter, (ii) any claim for inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, mental distress or other similar claim, (iii) any delayed departure, missed connection, substitute accommodation, termination of service or change in fares or rates, and (iv) overbooking, flight or other travel cancellation, lost or misconnected personal property, or any claim arising out of the air transportation portion of your travel, and (v) or any other claim arising out of or otherwise related to the Charter Agreement or services provided by the Charter Provider and the Charter Suppliers.

Excepting only liability that directly arises from the gross negligence or willful misconduct of Broker, you will not hold Broker responsible for any injury, damage or loss you may suffer while on a Charter, whether incurred on the Charter or in connection with any other rental, purchase, excursion or activity, regardless of the relationship of any of the foregoing with the Charter Provider or the Charter Suppliers.

• Your Responsibility . By booking a Charter with Broker, you agree to defend and indemnify and hold harmless Broker, Charter Provider, Charter Suppliers, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees and agents, from and against any and all claims, causes of action, demands, recoveries, losses, damages, fines, penalties or other costs or expenses of any kind or nature, including but not limited to reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in connection with: (i) your breach of these Terms or the documents referenced herein; (ii) your violation of any law or rights of a third party; or (iii) your use of the Broker website.

You will review your Charter Agreement and travel documents for accuracy upon receipt. You understand that it is your responsibility to review the accuracy of all details in the Charter Reservation provided to you, and that you may contact Broker if you have any questions.

You assume full and complete responsibility for checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of your destination(s), and all conditions regarding health, safety, security, political stability, and labor or civil unrest at such destination(s).

You understand that Broker recommends purchasing travel insurance to cover certain risks inherent in travel such as supplier bankruptcy and the inability to travel due to a medical or personal emergency.

• No Warranties . All Charters, products, services, advice and information is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied to the fullest extent permitted under the law, including but not limited to, warranties of title or implied warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality or fitness for a particular purpose. Without limiting the above, no warranty or guarantee is made (i) regarding the acceptance of any reservation request or Charter Reservation; (ii) regarding the availability of Charters, or any other product and/or services through Broker; (iii) that the use of Broker’s website will be error-free; or (iv) regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability or quality of any information, content, data, service, advice or merchandise provided by Broker or through Broker’s website.

Broker has no special knowledge regarding the Charter Provider’s or Charter Supplier’s financial condition, unsafe conditions, health hazards, weather hazards, or climate extremes at locations to which you may travel during or otherwise in connection with your Charter.

• Limitation on Liability . In no event shall Broker, Charter Provider, Charter Suppliers, and/or their respective affiliates, or any employees, agents, officers, directors, members or managers of any of the foregoing (“Broker and Charter Releasees”), be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of, or in any way connected with, your access to, display of or use the Broker’s website, the Charter or services provided to you in connection with the Charter (including, but not limited to, your reliance upon opinions of the Broker), whether based on a theory of negligence, contract, tort, strict liability, consumer protection statutes, or otherwise, and even if Broker and/or any other of the Broker and Charter Releasees have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

If, despite the limitation above, Broker or the Broker and Charter Releasees are found liable for any loss or damage which arises out of or in any way connected with any of the occurrences described above, then Broker, Charter Provider, Charter Supplier and the Broker and Charter Releasees will in no event exceed, in the aggregate, the greater of (a) the Broker Fee, and (b) One-Hundred Dollars (US $100.00).

The foregoing limitation of liability reflects the allocation of risk between the parties. The limitations specified in this section will survive and apply even if any limited remedy specified in these Terms is found to have failed of its essential purpose. The limitations of liability provided in these Terms inure to the benefit of Broker and/or its providers.

The foregoing does not affect any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

• Limitation on Time to File Claims . ANY CAUSE OF ACTION OR CLAIM YOU MAY HAVE ARISING OUT OF RELATING TO BROKER’S SERVICES OR THE WEBSITE MUST BE COMMENCED WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR AFTER THE CAUSE OF ACTION ACCRUES, OTHERWISE, SUCH CAUSE OF ACTION OR CLAIM IS PERMANENTLY BARRED.
• Waiver . No waiver by Broker of any term or condition set forth in these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or condition or a waiver of any other term or condition, and any failure of the Broker to assert a right or provision under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
• Severability . If any provision of these Terms is held by a court or other tribunal of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be eliminated or limited to the minimum extent such that the remaining provisions of the Terms will continue in full force and effect.
• Governing Law and Mandatory Venue . The laws of the State of Florida govern the rights and obligations of the parties to this Agreement and the interpretation, construction and enforceability thereof. You agree that any action or proceeding initiated by Charterer against Broker shall be brought solely in the federal and state courts of Hillsborough County, Florida, and you submit to the jurisdiction of those courts and waive any objections to the exercise of personal jurisdiction over you by those courts. In the event any action or proceeding is initiated by Charterer in a court outside of Hillsborough County, Florida, Charterer agrees to pay Broker’s costs and reasonable attorneys’ fees associated with defending such action or proceeding and waives any and all defenses to the transfer of said action or proceeding, whether jurisdictional or otherwise, to a federal or state court in Hillsborough County, Florida.

It's been a week since our BVI catamaran vacation aboard the Scuba Doo. The vacation high is over, and I finally have time to relay our thoughts. As soon as we three couples boarded Scuba Doo, we knew it was going to be an epic week. Several of us had previously been on a catamaran in the BVI two other times through other companies. We knew what to expect, and what we preferred to do...or so we thought. Kris and Aneta - WOW - you two were beyond amazing! Your attention to detail, sharing of stories and finding new places for us to explore exceeded our expectations. We had just enough activities and relaxation times to please the entire group. Snorkeling and floating at the Caves and Indians and also at two coves new to us was perfect. The two divers of the group were able to get their fill of diving without interfering with the rest of the group plans. "Bubbles Up!" Kris was also patient and attentive when one of us went on a discovery dive for the first time. Aneta and Kris also know their way around the kitchen! We did not go hungry and thoroughly enjoyed all the meals, and treats in the 'Dome of Yum'. Our highlights are The Baths, Conch Island Tour in Anegada and Saba Rock. Good Afternoon Lynne!! Scuba gear is cleaned and drying. Chicken coop is cleaned and chicken feeders refilled. Laundry is done. Clients are back under control!! LOL Bags are unpacked...... I have been on 6-7 charter boats in the Caribbean and the Greek Islands. The last two charters I used you to book my trips and don't think I have ever been taken care of so well. From the initial inquiry, to answering questions, addressing special requests, following up and even checking with the charter crew to make sure I boarded the charter and disembarked. You are professional, thorough, and attentive....thank you. This last charter was the Scuba Doo with Captain Kris and Chef Aneta in the BVI. I booked the charter for my girlfriend and me to get some scuba diving in and to show my girlfriend the BVI. She was completed by recognized shipbuilder Lagoon in 2021. The spacious yacht layout features 4 generous cabins and easily accommodates a group of 8 guests.

Crew Information

Captain: Kristofor Olbrich

Kris was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He grew up fishing off the local piers and beaches and had a summer job as a teenager, working as a mate on a fishing boat. At 19, he began working as a line cook and a couple years later enrolled in the French Culinary Institute. He went on to work as the head chef for restaurants around the world, opening 6 restaurants from NYC to the USVI, Bangkok, and Hong Kong. One of his favorite cuisines is from Thailand, where he spent 5 years as a chef in Bangkok and where he taught scuba diving in Southern Thailand. While living in St. John, Kris first learned to scuba dive and was hooked instantly. During his final open water training dive, a large dolphin swam up and did circles around him. Kris decided he wanted to spend as much time in the water as possible. He figured the best way to do so would be to become a Scuba Instructor. He worked for several years teaching and guiding dives on liveaboard boats in Thailand, Hawaii, and the Cayman Islands, and eventually worked his way up to becoming a Captain. In New York City, he operated a private charter boat, running tours around Manhattan and to the Statue of Liberty. Originally from Brooklyn, NY Aneta was raised by parents who prioritized travel - she had her first passport at two months old! Growing up in NYC she was surrounded by all the different types of cuisines available to her right down the block. This and her travels have inspired her cooking and love for food. She likes to take inspiration from the surrounding culture and environment. Onboard you will find combinations of Caribbean, Southeast Asian and European flavors. Her dream has been to one day open a restaurant (already having a full menu created for her concept since in college). Aneta has a marketing degree with a minor in fine arts from Pace University. She has studied abroad in Australia, lived and backpacked throughout New Zealand and has worked in Denali National Park in Alaska. She has circumnavigated Manhattan by kayak, guided kayak trips on the East River, and ran the NYC marathon twice. She is also on track to become a Divemaster before the 2022/23 season. Her most exciting diving experience so far was swimming with Tiger Sharks and schools of Hammerheads in Cocos Islands. Before joining the charter industry, she had worked in NYC for 5 years as an event and hospitality coordinator where she curated luxury travel experiences and events that went into auction throughout the US. Captain Kristofor Olbrich

MARINE QUALIFICATIONS: USCG 100 Ton Masters Near Coastal FCC Marine Radio Operator’s Permit STCW Basic Training PADI & SSI Open Water Scuba Instructor Emergency First Response Instructor

Kris was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He grew up fishing off the local piers and beaches and had a summer job as a teenager, working as a mate on a fishing boat.

At 19, he began working as a line cook and a couple of years later enrolled in the French Culinary Institute. He went on to work as the head chef for restaurants around the world, opening 6 restaurants from NYC to the USVI, Bangkok, and Hong Kong. One of his favourite cuisines is from Thailand, where he spent 5 years as a chef in Bangkok and where he taught scuba diving in Southern Thailand. While living in St. John, Kris first learned to scuba dive and was hooked instantly. During his final open-water training dive, a large dolphin swam up and did circles around him. Kris decided he wanted to spend as much time in the water as possible. He figured the best way to do so would be to become a Scuba Instructor. He worked for several years teaching and guiding dives on liveaboard boats in Thailand, Hawaii, and the Cayman Islands and eventually worked his way up to becoming a Captain.

In New York City, he operated a private charter boat, running tours around Manhattan and to the Statue of Liberty.

Chef Aneta Siwiec

Originally from Brooklyn, NY Aneta was raised by parents who prioritized travel – she had her first passport at two months old! Growing up in NYC she was surrounded by all the different types of cuisines available to her right down the block. This and her travels have inspired her cooking and love for food. She likes to take inspiration from the surrounding culture and environment. Onboard you will find combinations of Caribbean, Southeast Asian and European flavours. Her dream has been to one day open a restaurant (already has a full menu created for her concept since in college).

Aneta has a marketing degree with a minor in fine arts from Pace University. She has studied abroad in Australia, lived and backpacked throughout New Zealand and worked in Denali National Park in Alaska. She has circumnavigated Manhattan by kayak, guided kayak trips on the East River, and ran the NYC marathon twice. She is also on track to become a Divemaster before the 2022/23 season. Her most exciting diving experience so far was swimming with Tiger Sharks and schools of Hammerheads in Cocos Islands.

Before joining the charter industry, she had worked in NYC for 5 years as an event and hospitality coordinator where she curated luxury travel experiences and events that went into auction throughout the US. She loves the tourism industry and being involved in creating memorable vacations for her guests.

For charters confirmed as of March 1st 2022, BVI Customs fees and cruising permits are included in the rate.

For Charters with BVI Cruising Grounds, confirmed prior to March 1st 2022 an additional $250pp will be paid by the charterer for BVI Customs and Cruising Permits to Charter Caribe prior to the charter.r

3 queen ensuite cabins and midship cabin are available to guests. Midship and port forward cabins share head. Crew will take port aft queen cabin.

SLEEP ABOARD: $2,000 Sleep aboard the night before the charter departs Guests arrive to the yacht at 5pm. Snacks and welcome drink served, this is not an open bar. Dinner is ashore on clients expense. Continental breakfast provided next morning. Vessel departs at noon.

Luxury Crewed Charter Rates

The Horizon Yacht Charters BVI Crewed Charter rates are for 7 nights per vessel and are based on the number of guests. Please see individual yacht pages for detailed specifications and charter rates. Horizon Yacht Charters luxury crewed yacht charters come complete with your own personal Captain & Chef (and in the larger yachts, first mate and hostess).  NB some yachts may be skipper only (with the option of a chef) – they are stated as such. Your meals aboard are included in the rate and prepared to your group’s individual preferences and dietary requirements. Beverages are also included but please note special requests for specific brands may be subject to an additional charge.  Watersports equipment (such as paddleboards, kayaks etc) are also included and some yachts offer all-inclusive diving.

High season rates typically apply from December to April, and Low season from May to November, but please do check the seasonal rates for your yacht.

Each individual crewed yacht may charge for certain additional expenses (e.g. National Park Permit, Cruising permit, different port collections or departures).  Please ask for a full breakdown of costs for your chosen yacht. Additional supplements may apply at Christmas and New Year.

All yachts come with tenders with outboards and safety equipment. Please review the individual yacht specification on our website for further details of available equipment and details of inclusions and exclusions.

Yacht photographs and specifications act as a guide and are for information purposes only.  Although we endeavour to ensure that images are accurate reflections of the yachts in our fleet, certain aspects may vary slightly.

Please note that our bareboat repeat client discount does not apply to our crewed charter fleet.

Charter Rates shown above are for 7 nights per vessel (Christmas and New Year supplements on selected yachts). Crewed Charters usually start at noon and finish at noon, but please do check times for your particular yacht.

• Additional water-sports  (other than those included on the crewed yacht) are all available at competitive rates.
• Hotel Accommodations  throughout the islands can be arranged. Most major credit cards accepted.  Please check our Accommodations page for more information.

An Environmental levy of $10 per head is payable by all visitors to the BVI on arrival (effective 1st Sept 2017).

Bookings and Cancellations  – We require a 50% deposit to confirm the reservation and the balance due of 50% no later than 45 days prior to charter start date. A smaller deposit and interim fee may be acceptable for bookings made more than 12 months in advance. Cancellation fees apply, and vary from yacht-to-yacht. Please check the specific terms for your yacht at the time of booking.

Scuba doo 50, yacht description.

Scuba Doo 50 is a 4-cabin Lagoon 500 which is a really popular design for chartering providing good options for up to four couples, but is ideal for 3 couples. The cabins are four queens with lots of storage space and 6’7” headroom! For 8 guests the crew will take the mid ships double cabin and share the bathroom with the port forward cabin.

The interior of the yacht is very modern and light. The salon flows seamlessly into the cockpit so lots of space and a lovely outdoor dining option with comfy seats for relaxing in the cockpit.

Forward is the very popular foredeck lounge area which is the perfect place to relax in the evenings with a cocktail in your hand. There is also a flybridge, which has a seating and sunbathing area behind the steering position.

They went above and beyond in all aspects of the trip, from recommending the best snorkelling & dive spots to finding the perfect mooring ball in the cove for us to spend the night. The attention to detail and care they put into everything they do was greatly appreciated!

Aneta prepared delicious and beautifully plated meals & desserts for us each day – accompanied by the ocean breeze, you can’t beat it! Also, a must do on Scuba Doo was setting up the floating dock to enjoy the sunsets while sipping on some of Kris’s signature Painkiller cocktails!

And finally, I had the opportunity to complete my Open Water Dive certification course with Kris. He was an amazing instructor, ensuring I felt safe and showed us some of USVI’s best dive sites. We saw a ship wreck, lots of fish, turtles, stingrays, and a nurse shark!

We have just returned from a tremendously memorable trip to USVI with Scuba Doo! Kris and Aneta were the most welcoming crew and they had pampered us with delicious food, drinks, and activities. We had always woken up to the fragrant smell of breakfast. You could expect freshly baked waffles or cinnamon buns on the table waiting for you. Kris took us around different parts of the islands and we had the opportunity to see all sorts of sea life as well as landscapes. As a Jack of all trades, he could be a Captain, a chef, and a fisherman. He caught a black fin tuna on our trip and fed us the best grilled tuna steak for dinner. He also made sure we had a worry-free trip as he worked tirelessly around the boat to ensure all parts of the boat are well maintained. There was not a part of the trip I did not thoroughly enjoy and call it once in a lifetime experience. A hundred percent recommend Scuba Doo for your next family vacation!

It’s been a week since our BVI catamaran vacation aboard the Scuba Doo. The vacation high is over, and I finally have time to relay our thoughts. As soon as we three couples boarded Scuba Doo, we knew it was going to be an epic week. Several of us had previously been on a catamaran in the BVI two other times through other companies. We knew what to expect, and what we preferred to do…or so we thought.

Kris and Aneta – WOW – you two were beyond amazing! Your attention to detail, sharing of stories and finding new places for us to explore exceeded our expectations. We had just enough activities and relaxation times to please the entire group. Snorkeling and floating at the Caves and Indians and also at two coves new to us was perfect. The two divers of the group were able to get their fill of diving without interfering with the rest of the group plans. “Bubbles Up!” Kris was also patient and attentive when one of us went on a discovery dive for the first time. Aneta and Kris also know their way around the kitchen! We did not go hungry and thoroughly enjoyed all the meals, and treats in the ‘Dome of Yum’. Our highlights are The Baths, Conch Island Tour in Anegada and Saba Rock. Kris and Aneta were troopers for our White Party wine tasting dinner and Scuby Doo night. Oh the laughs!

Another day in paradise! This was an incredible week and time went by way too quickly. I easily got used to the morning swim, endless snorkeling, and the most amazing food. The diving was rich with beautiful coral, fish, lobsters, turtles, and rays. We loved the peaceful sailing, made even more fantastic by the playful dolphin that visited us. The captains’ cocktails were a treat – from painkillers to espresso martinis.

Captain Kris and Anetta were fantastic on all aspects. The boat was amazing – super-comfortable and well-equipped. I loved the layout of the salon, with the u-shaped sofa and middle console. We had all meals out on the deck – never really used the salon but I liked the open floor plan that made it seem more spacious. All of our rooms were comfortable with good mattresses and nice, efficient bathrooms.

The food was delicious – and it wasn’t easy with our dietary preferences and restrictions. All meals were delicious and well-presented. Anetta did a great job making Maddie’s meals replicate ours but vegan. And she even baked a chocolate birthday cake for Lauren (along with presenting her with a bottle of champagne and a map of the BVI with our journey charted on it). So thoughtful. Kris and Anetta joined us for dinner at Saba Rock one evening and it was much fun.

We snorkeled a ton – saw some sea turtles, sting rays, lots of amazing fish, including a few barracuda, awesome coral. Kris helped a fisherman rescue an Eagle ray from his net that Jay and Maddie found while kayaking – a happy ending to a potential for a bad outcome.

We hit great beaches and some of our top must-sees – Norman Island, Willy T’s (where Jay became somewhat famous for doing about 8 backflips from the top deck – people we saw at other islands said “Hey, you’re the backflip dude!”) the Baths, Cooper Island, the bubbly pools, the North Sound, and Caneel Bay.

It was an amazing week and something we will all remember for a very long time. Thank you for everything you did to make it happen and make it amazing.

Rendezvous diving

If your crewed charter yacht does not offer onboard diving then fear not, rendezvous diving can be arranged.

So what is Rendezvous diving?

A local dive company will pick you up direct from your charter yacht at a pre-determined location and take you for a one- or two-tank dive to experience the BVI below the water. This is an excellent option if only a couple of guests wish to dive or can work equally as well if all your group are interested. If your charter yacht offers minimal onboard diving, then rendezvous diving can also work if you wanted to add a few more dives during your charter.

Rendezvous diving is at additional cost, payable locally. The dive company provides all gear.

Captain Kristofor Olbrich MARINE QUALIFICATIONS: USCG 100 Ton Masters Near Coastal FCC Marine Radio Operator’s Permit STCW Basic Training PADI & SSI Open Water Scuba Instructor Emergency First Response Instructor Kris was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He grew up fishing off the local piers and beaches and had a summer job as a teenager, working as a mate on a fishing boat. At 19, he began working as a line cook and a couple years later enrolled in the French Culinary Institute. He went on to work as the head chef for restaurants around the world, opening 6 restaurants from NYC to the USVI, Bangkok, and Hong Kong. One of his favorite cuisines is from Thailand, where he spent 5 years as a chef in Bangkok and where he taught scuba diving in Southern Thailand. While living in St. John, Kris first learned to scuba dive and was hooked instantly. During his final open water training dive, a large dolphin swam up and did circles around him. Kris decided he wanted to spend as much time in the water as possible. He figured the best way to do so would be to become a Scuba Instructor. He worked for several years teaching and guiding dives on liveaboard boats in Thailand, Hawaii, and the Cayman Islands, and eventually worked his way up to becoming a Captain. In New York City, he operated a private charter boat, running tours around Manhattan and to the Statue of Liberty.

Aneta Siwiec

Chef Aneta Siwiec Originally from Brooklyn, NY Aneta was raised by parents who prioritized travel - she had her first passport at two months old! Growing up in NYC she was surrounded by all the different types of cuisines available to her right down the block. This and her travels have inspired her cooking and love for food. She likes to take inspiration from the surrounding culture and environment. Onboard you will find combinations of Caribbean, Southeast Asian and European flavors. Her dream has been to one day open a restaurant. Aneta has a marketing degree with a minor in fine arts from Pace University. She has studied abroad in Australia, lived and backpacked throughout New Zealand and has worked in Denali National Park in Alaska. She has circumnavigated Manhattan by kayak, guided kayak trips on the East River, and ran the NYC marathon twice. She is also on track to become a Divemaster before the 2022/23 season. Her most exciting diving experience so far was swimming with Tiger Sharks and schools of Hammerheads in Cocos Islands. Before joining the charter industry, she had worked in NYC for 5 years as an event and hospitality coordinator where she curated luxury travel experiences and events that went into auction throughout the US. Since the franchise shifted towards supernatural horror in the 1990s , fans of Scooby-Doo have enjoyed seeing its tropes subverted for years . Zvenigorod's most famous sight is the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which was founded in 1398 by the monk Savva from the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra, at the invitation and with the support of Prince Yury Dmitrievich of Zvenigorod. Savva was later canonised as St Sabbas (Savva) of Storozhev. The monastery late flourished under the reign of Tsar Alexis, who chose the monastery as his family church and often went on pilgrimage there and made lots of donations to it. Most of the monastery’s buildings date from this time. The monastery is heavily fortified with thick walls and six towers, the most impressive of which is the Krasny Tower which also serves as the eastern entrance. The monastery was closed in 1918 and only reopened in 1995. In 1998 Patriarch Alexius II took part in a service to return the relics of St Sabbas to the monastery. Today the monastery has the status of a stauropegic monastery, which is second in status to a lavra. In addition to being a working monastery, it also holds the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum.

Belfry and Neighbouring Churches

Located near the main entrance is the monastery's belfry which is perhaps the calling card of the monastery due to its uniqueness. It was built in the 1650s and the St Sergius of Radonezh’s Church was opened on the middle tier in the mid-17th century, although it was originally dedicated to the Trinity. The belfry's 35-tonne Great Bladgovestny Bell fell in 1941 and was only restored and returned in 2003. Attached to the belfry is a large refectory and the Transfiguration Church, both of which were built on the orders of Tsar Alexis in the 1650s.  

To the left of the belfry is another, smaller, refectory which is attached to the Trinity Gate-Church, which was also constructed in the 1650s on the orders of Tsar Alexis who made it his own family church. The church is elaborately decorated with colourful trims and underneath the archway is a beautiful 19th century fresco.

Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is the oldest building in the monastery and among the oldest buildings in the Moscow Region. It was built between 1404 and 1405 during the lifetime of St Sabbas and using the funds of Prince Yury of Zvenigorod. The white-stone cathedral is a standard four-pillar design with a single golden dome. After the death of St Sabbas he was interred in the cathedral and a new altar dedicated to him was added.

Under the reign of Tsar Alexis the cathedral was decorated with frescoes by Stepan Ryazanets, some of which remain today. Tsar Alexis also presented the cathedral with a five-tier iconostasis, the top row of icons have been preserved.

Tsaritsa's Chambers

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is located between the Tsaritsa's Chambers of the left and the Palace of Tsar Alexis on the right. The Tsaritsa's Chambers were built in the mid-17th century for the wife of Tsar Alexey - Tsaritsa Maria Ilinichna Miloskavskaya. The design of the building is influenced by the ancient Russian architectural style. Is prettier than the Tsar's chambers opposite, being red in colour with elaborately decorated window frames and entrance.

At present the Tsaritsa's Chambers houses the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum. Among its displays is an accurate recreation of the interior of a noble lady's chambers including furniture, decorations and a decorated tiled oven, and an exhibition on the history of Zvenigorod and the monastery.

Palace of Tsar Alexis

The Palace of Tsar Alexis was built in the 1650s and is now one of the best surviving examples of non-religious architecture of that era. It was built especially for Tsar Alexis who often visited the monastery on religious pilgrimages. Its most striking feature is its pretty row of nine chimney spouts which resemble towers.
