Sir Elton John and David Furnish were all smiles as they were joined by their children and celebrity friends David Walliams and Sam and Aaron Taylor-Johnson during a break in St Tropez .

The Rocketman hitmaker, 76, has been relaxing in the French Riviera alongside husband  David Furnish , 60, after  closing his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour  in July.

The pair were spotted with their sons Zachary, 12, and Elijah, 10, as well as friends including comedian David Walliams , actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson , and his wife Sam Taylor-Johnson.

The star-studded group was seen boarding a yacht and chatting among the group, both wearing eye-popping summery outfits.

Former Britain’s Got Talent judge David, 52, wore a smart black shirt and contrasting white shorts, accessorising with black sunglasses.

He could be seen smiling away as he carried his black sandals while boarding the vessel, and talking to Sir Elton and friends once they settled in.

Kraven the Hunter’s Aaron, 33, meanwhile went light and breezy with a white shirt unbuttoned to show off his chest.

He wore beige-coloured trousers and matching brown shoes and a belt to complete the look.

The actor was joined by his director wife Sam, 56, who wore a striking black shorts and yellow blouse combo for the trip.

Sir Elton and David have been friends for a number of years, with the presenter previously revealing the iconic singer had offered to sing at his 50th birthday party.

‘He said is anyone performing at your birthday and I went no and he went, “Oh I’ll do it, I’ll do three songs” and then he did Your Song and dedicated it to my mum and put in her mum Kathleen into the song… which was incredible,’ he said during an appearance on Lorraine in 2021.

‘I didn’t tell anyone he was going to do it because I thought otherwise people will just be going “When’s Elton on?” and “Oh he only did three songs” so it was amazing because it was a total surprise,’ he added.

Sam is also a longtime friend of Sir Elton, with him attending her and Aaron’s wedding back in 2012 and serenading the pair, Hello! reported.

Sir Elton and his husband David’s break in the sun comes after they both spoke openly about the musician’s hectic schedule  taking him away from his family.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk , David said: ‘You’re saying goodbye to a long commitment of time because it’s a bunch of shows that are planned six months, 12 months in advance.

‘It’s hard. I really miss him. The boys really miss him. He really misses us. He’s had enough of that. We’ve had enough of that. Now it’s time to spend more time together as a family.

‘We could not be happier and more excited about it, and a lot of people would say like, “Oh, you must be really emotional”, but at the end of the tour, he and I both sit at the table and go, “We can’t wait to be a family”.’

The singer was recently spotted dining with disgraced actor Kevin Spacey after giving evidence at his sexual assault trial .

Sir Elton and David were called to testify regarding Kevin’s presence at the couple’s annual White Tie and Tiara ball in 2001 and whether the star had ever visited their home in Windsor on another occasion.

Legendary performer Sir Elton John is turning 76 today. The singer, who is worth £450 million, has faced tough times in his life including battles with drug and alcohol addiction, hip problems and a prostate cancer scare.

Nowadays the performer is in a much better place, retiring from touring last year after completing The Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, to spend more time with his family. We take a look at his life out of the limelight...

Sir Elton met David Furnish , an advertising executive turned filmmaker, at a dinner party thrown by a mutual friend in 1993 and they were instantly smitten. The couple entered a civil partnership in 2005 and wed in 2014 when same-sex marriage became legal.

"If you'd had said to me 10 years ago I'd be sitting on your show married to the man I love and have two beautiful children I would have said 'You put acid in my drink'," the star told chat show host Ellen DeGeneres. "But life throws you challenges and life throws you curveballs — great curveballs."

Very sweetly the couple celebrate Saturdays, the day of the week they met, as a way of staying connected. "We write down, in like a little card that you put next to the bed: 'Happy Anniversary'," he said to R&B artist 6LACK on his confessional series about love. "You write about the week that’s passed and the week that’s coming, you connect and you tell each other you love each other."

The performer credits David, 61, with transforming his life financially as well as emotionally, jokingly comparing him to the wife of late Beatles star John Lennon. "David came into my life and in the last two years has been very involved in sorting the dross that we had surrounding me," he told Rolling Stone magazine in 2016. "We had so many people who were earning vast amounts of money that weren’t pulling their weight. David doesn’t mind being Yoko Ono but he’s doing it on my behalf."

Kids (and pets)

Sir Elton and David are dads to sons Zachary, 14 and Elijah, 11 and says the boys are the "great decision I've made" and "our primary concern". "They're the things that come first and foremost," he said.

Despite the singer's incredible wealth, the family of four enjoy a relatively normal life in Berkshire. Zachary played junior football for Watford FC Academy - his famous father is the club's Honorary Life President - and a few years ago his father revealed he has a passion for fishing. The family have also been spotted holidaying at Disneyworld.

"Before we had the children we just had our lives and we would spend money because we didn't have anything else to focus on," said the star, who famously once spent over £40m during a 20 month period. "I've learned that the simplest things in life, like having a minute with them, are worth more than any painting, any photograph, any house or hit record."

Elton and David are pet parents to many dogs too, including labrador Jacob and French bulldogs Regine and Nicole.

Sir Elton is known to have a host of famous friends, with his ten godchildren including Romeo and Brooklyn Beckham and Damian Hurley. Lady Gaga is godmother to his own boys Zachary and Elijah.

After his farewell tour finished last year, the singer headed to St Tropez in the South of France for a holiday on his £21m superyacht. Celebrity pals spotted joining him included Dame Joan Collins, actress Liz Hurley, actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson and his movie director wife Sam, David Walliams and Susannah Constantine.

Victoria Beckham revealed watching the talented musician perform in Las Vegas convinced her to leave the Spice Girls. “He performed Tiny Dancer as if it were the first time," she told British Vogue . "And you realised this was like oxygen for him. It was a life-changing moment - while singing and dancing was fun for you, it wasn’t your passion."

The loyal icon was famously close to the late Princess Diana, playing a reworked version of Candle In The Wind at her funeral. He went onto defend her son Prince Harry when he was criticised for taking a private jet to holiday at Sir Elton's home in the South of France. "Prince Harry’s mother, Diana Princess Of Wales was one of my dearest friends," he said. "I feel a profound sense of obligation to protect Harry and his family from the unnecessary press intrusion that contributed to Diana’s untimely death."

Property portfolio

Sir Elton bought the family's main residence, a mansion in Windsor, for £400,000 back in 1975. Now worth £5m, the eight bedroom manor house, which has a lake and 37 acres of gardens, was built in the 1500s for Henry VIII's surgeon. It has since burned down and been rebuilt three times, the last in 1947.

The Rocketman singer has occasionally shared snaps from the family home he describes as "tastefully over the top", including a spectacular playroom of dreams filled to the brim with Marvel figures, Lego toys and books. "If I weren't a musician, I would love to be a decorator," he said in an interview with Architectural Digest. The star certainly has plenty of space to decorate at his mansion - it has a library, tennis courts, an 18th-century orangery and a private chapel too.

Sir Elton owns a townhouse in London's Holland Park and two mega mansions in Los Angeles which combine into an incredible compound. Holidays can also be taken at their £15m villa in Nice in the South of France, where the star has hosted many of his celebrity pals including Harry and Meghan.

Victoria and David Beckham Live Their Best Lives on a Yacht with Elton John and David Furnish

The Beckhams know how to do vacation. Over the weekend, David, Victoria, and their kids joined Elton John and David Furnish on a yacht trip in the South of France for an Instagram-worthy day of bonding, sunbathing, and cannonballing into the sea.

Victoria, on the other hand, stayed dry on board in a white racer-front maxi dress (currently retailing at $934 on her site) from her eponymous collection. Her playful hubby trolled her for the unexpected "boat wear" on his Instagram Story.

The couple commemorated their maritime outing by posting photos with John and Furnish on Instagram. "Happy summer with friends," Victoria captioned a photo of the two couples posing together. "We love u both and your boys so much!!" she added, sending a kind message to their hosts.

David posted the same image and called the gathering a "gorgeous day with friends." John also shared the photo and described the festivities as "summer bliss."

Later on, the two Davids even matched in printed shirts.

This marks the latest of the Beckhams' summer escapades in Europe. Just two weeks ago, the power couple and their four children were spotted together in Italy .

Elton John received a helping hand from one of his bodyguards as he boarded a yacht while on a family holiday in the South of France on Wednesday.

The singer, 76, was joined by his husband David Furnish, 60, and their children Zachary, 12, and Elijah, 10.

Elton cut a casual figure for the outing as he sported a light blue striped shirt along with a pair of green Gucci shorts.

The musician completed his look for the day with a pair of white trainers and stylish bejewelled sunglasses.

Elton is clearly making the most of his retirement from touring following his final show of the Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour in July.

However, Elton added that he hasn't given up performing for good and will likely still play 'the odd show' every now and then.

'You are my proudest achievements, and I love you both so, so much ... Whoever you grow up to be, just be you — fully and completely you.'

Elton John gave David and Victoria Beckham a rude nickname over their stinginess despite being worth $575M

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: David and Victoria Beckham have not been shown in a flattering light in investigative journalist Tom Bower's new book. 

Bower, 77, in his book ‘House of Beckham: Money, Sex and Power’, has offered glimpses into the Beckham family, including their miserliness.

In his book, Bower revealed different instances of stinginess from the Beckhams, who, according to the 2024 UK Sunday Times Rich List are worth a combined $575 million.

The journalist wrote that David and Victoria earned the nickname of the ‘Takums’ after they conveniently “forgot” to tip the crew while holidaying with Elton John on his yacht, per New York Post.

Bower wrote, “Elton would later complain that the ‘Takums’ had forgotten the customary courtesy of tipping the crew. A sum of about $26,733 was expected for one week.”

In another instance, he wrote that the former English soccer player’s alleged extramarital affair with his PA Rebecca Loos came to an end when the woman apparently got disinterested seeing his miserly nature. 

The author wrote that while David was playing for Real Madrid in 2004, he was allegedly seeing Loos. Bower claims that Loos, who was initially tight-lipped about their romantic involvement, could not keep their amorous story to herself after seeing David’s stinginess. 

A day after she dined with David at the Hard Rock Cafe Madrid, Loos received a note from a waitress who served them at the diner. 

As they were dining with SFX sports agency employees on the next day, Beckham received a heartfelt note from the waitress who shared that she survived on tips. The athlete who received $27 million through his transfer to Real Madrid, had, however, miffed her by leaving no tip. 

Bower writes, “After reading the note, Beckham was alarmed.”

He further writes, “Give her this,’ he said, handing over a thick wodge of euros.”

This behavior from the soccer legend, however, turned Loos off, who was soon released by the SFX agency. After she was let go, Loos decided to sell her story about her affair with the former Manchester United star. 

As another instance of Beckhams’ stinginess, Bower writes that the couple once got annoyed after one of their staffer asked for $10 for a taxi. 

Out of all the stories of their skinflintiness, Bower further mentioned that Victoria once noted down the expense claims for Marks & Spencer’s crisps during a shoot. 

David, on the other hand, allegedly goes cheap with charities as well. During a UNICEF fundraiser, he allegedly wanted to serve a cheap bottle of warm wine, German Liebfraumilch, which is worth around $3.80 a bottle. 

In another instance, during a trip to Cambodia with UNICEF, David allegedly made the organizers upgrade him from his five-star hotel room to a more luxurious resort but refused to pay for his expenses. 

Moreover, Bower accuses Beckham of avoiding taxes, writing, “Beckham gave the impression that playing the tax card had become nearly as important in his life as kicking the ball,” per The Guardian . 

Victoria Beckham is 'not nervous' about the book

It is evident that Bower’s book is not expected to sing praise for the power couple. Though the book doesn’t show the Beckhams in exactly a flattering light, it has been said that Posh Spice is “not nervous” about the release of the book. 

A source shared with Life & Style magazine in May, “Experience tells her she will be highly scrutinized and critiqued within its pages.”

The insider admitted later, “She’s just praying there’s not more to worry about. What other secrets and lies could it reveal?”

“ Elton John : Never Too Late,” a feature documentary about pop legend Elton John, will have its world premiere as a gala screening at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. So too will “Nightbitch,” an Amy Adams-starring dark comedy about a stay-at-home mom whose life takes a surreal turn.

The pair are among the first six titles announced by the high-profile festival, as Toronto organizers pulled back the curtain on some of the prestige presentations and honorees planned for this year’s 49th edition, as well as preparations for Toronto’s 2026 launch of an organized film market.

Canadian director David Cronenberg will receive the 2024 Norman Jewison Career Achievement Award. Organizers described Cronenberg as having “developed a dramatic oeuvre of outstanding depth and breadth, and consequently [he] has been lauded as one of the world’s most influential filmmakers.”

Sandra Oh , the Ottawa-based actor with credits including “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Killing Eve” and “The Sympathizer,” will receive the 2024 TIFF Tribute Awards Honorary Chair.

Describing Oh as “incomparable,” TIFF CEO Cameron Bailey said, “We’re grateful that artists of this stature will gather in Toronto to help TIFF turn the spotlight on increasing inclusion throughout our industry.” While the festival runs Sept. 5-15, the tribute awards gala will be held on Sept. 8 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel.

“Elton John: Never Too Late” hails from Disney+ and is jointly directed by R.J. Cutler and David Furnish, John’s husband. “Nightbitch” is directed by Marielle Heller and is represented by Searchlight Pictures.
