Gel-coat Products They have quite a large color-match data base of production boats on file. Their cost of color analyzing a 'plug' is approx. $100. As many of these gel suppliers do, they will offer 'paste' and 'ready to spray' forms of gelcoat. If you want perfection, Id suggest the final application to be a spray.
Bavaria Gelcoat Composition?
On larger boats, I sometimes even see a difference between bow and stern, or port and stbd, even on newer boats. This is due to color variation. Mind you, I am making 100% perfect matches. Polish an area, use your suppliers color chart to select the closest color that is a shade lighter (not too dark), and adjust to match using gel coat pigments.

Stanchions and Gelcoat
Once inside the water can travel towards the stern making it appear as if the leak is from the stanchions. A small smear of flexible sealant around the four base fittings each year will prevent this leak. I also found that this was the main source of water that was making the front bunk cushions wet.
