The Royal Yacht Club Restaurant & Bar

Romero Group collaborated with The Royal Yacht Club Restaurant in 1994, to establish Romero Restaurant on the shores of the magnificent Red Sea.

The genuine essence of Italian cuisine was expressed in Aqaba’s authentic restaurant and international dishes were added to the menu, creating a haven of good food. The precious seaside is considered one of the secret ingredients on the restaurant’s no-miss menu.

Sea Food dishes and Sushi are some of the best in town, as are the authentic hot/cold Mezze, but save room for the Oriental Main Courses, which are massive and sublime!

The Royal Yacht Club Bar is located above The Royal Yacht Club Restaurant in Aqaba. A casual seafront lounge & bar, with a breezy terrace. Magical venue with a contemporary atmosphere that gives you the chance to experience unforgettable panoramic views of Aqaba’s shores with a taste of signature cocktails and finest dishes.

Ratings and reviews

Location and contact.

Romero Aqaba is located in Yacht club in city center, right next to McDonald’s roundabout. Enter yacht club, pay 2 JDs entrance fees (reimbursable at the restaurant) and go all the way to the end of the pavilion and there lies Romero. I am a... fan of the restaurant in Amman, but was a first for the Aqaba branch. Lovely terrace outside overlooking the yachts. Now when it comes to the food, order this and you will never regrets having listened to me: Lemon mint smoothie to start, Grilled Bizreh to munch on, and then a Sayyadyyeh with Nagel fish....it is out of this world...Very generous portion of rice adorned with nuts and topped by a 1 kg fish (check photo). It can easily feel 3! Simply the best Sayyadyyeh I have ever had, and I have tried many! Prices reasonable for a high end restaurant. Service was excellent! A big salute goes to Mr. Hani our server, who was polite, great sense of humor, deep understanding of the menu, and excellent recommendations. He made our dinner extra special! He is a keeper... Highly recommended! More

My husband and I had tow mesmerizing dinners in a row at Romero/Aqaba. The exquisite, quality food, great hospitality, caring service and professional management are beautifully intertwined in this place. Azmy( the manager) with his caring and welcoming gestures created a beautiful space for his... staff and diners. It takes a positive and inspiring management to turn a restaurant into an everlasting memory. Great ambience …..Great memories 💚 More

It is great restaurant for dinner. It maintains its standard at very reasonable cost. It has a nice location overlooking the boat marina on the red sea. As for the food it is great to say the least. The menu has a lot of options... across several cuisines that can meet everybody’s taste. I strongly recommend their salads especially the sea food and Kani salads for starters. We had some fish which was tasty. They have the best sushi in Aqaba as well. The staff are very accommodating and dealt with our special request expediently. More

I booked a table for one at Romero for a nice dinner out, and I was disappointed with my meal. The restaurant overlooks a pretty harbor. Upon arrival, I asked to be seated at a table for two people on the front row by the... fans, but the waiter said the table had been booked. I received a table in the second row, without the benefit of a fan, and the table in the front row that I requested remained empty for the entirety of my meal. That was annoying. I ordered the halloumi and aubergine salad to start, and it was way too salty. For my main, I ordered the trio of pasta. The fettuccine was the best pasta, followed by the penne, but the plate oddly also included an Asian soy sauce-based pasta that did not pair with the other pasta selections. The white wine by the glass was ok, and the warm bread was lovely. But all in all, it was a disappointing night out. More

Romero Aqaba never fails you! The location is in the Royal yacht club facing the waterfront and yachts so really nice especially when the weather is good and you can sit outside. The menu is versatile and their Sayyadeh with Nagel fish is mouthwatering. 30... JD per kg of fish including rice and a small Tahini salad and rice sauce. The service is great and Mr. Fadi Halaseh was very welcoming and helpful along with the rest of the team. A big thanks goes to Mr. Hani Rihan who followed up on our reservation very professionally. Highly recommended! More

royal yacht club restaurant aqaba

I liked this restaurant very much. We had very good alcoholic cocktails, children had very good pasta and we had delicious grilled meat. You can choose from italian dishes, local food and fish. They have wide variety of wines. You have to make a reservation... if you would like to sit outside with a nice view. Service is very good. More

Definitely one of my favourite dinning spots in Aqaba, excellent food and excellent service. Lovely place and location in the Marina and central Aqaba. Worth every penny. Best of luck. The mushroom Risotto and the Sayadiye is one of my favourite dishes.

We had a very good experience with Romero while staying at the nearby Kempinski hotel. We had dinner one night and as we liked it very much we decided to come back for lunch. The food was delicious both times (from the traditional appetizers to... the traditional sea food and fish Sayadieh - this one is a must try! and to pizza). Freshly baked and warm bread, excellent service and a nice setting in the Marina. It is also good they are among the few places open during the day while un Ramadan. Plus.. they serve alcohol 😊 More

royal yacht club restaurant aqaba

A great spot for a meal in Aqaba, the food is fantastic, mix of Italian and local cuisine, the fish is amazing, try the sayadieh, the 3 kind pasta is also a great hit. Very friendly staff, very clean and professional. The prices are very... good as well. Nice view in the old part of the city on a small marina More

We went during Ramadan. It was unclear on the phone call beforehand whether or not they were open. And it seems like we may have made our reservation and talked to someone in Amman, because when we arrived they seemed surprised to see us. Regardless,... they opened the restaurant up and we had the place to ourselves that afternoon. The restaurant is owned by the Romero group which also runs our favorite restaurant in Amman. The food is really very similar at both restaurants which was absolutely fine by us. We’re convinced that this is some of the best food in Jordan so… yes, we highly recommend you go. Side note: the restaurant is back past all the other restaurants. Just keep walking towards the water and onwards and you’ll get there. More

This restaurant was recommended by Jules Verne, our tour group. Having read the reviews on Trip Advisor we decided to go. The setting was good, the service was attentive but the food was of a mixed standard. We won’t be going again.

The restaurant comes highly rated as a fish specialist restaurant, its not. My crab salad starter was with crab sticks....get the idea. However the service was very friendly, efficient and professional, top marks here. The menu is a bit of everything fron meat to pasta... to pizza to fish. Good portion size. For all that, we still enjoyed our evening. More

We came here twice after trying many other local restautants. It is not the cheapest, but the staff were friendly and efficient. The menu offers Italian, Arabic and Asian food. (A strange combination, which we would normally avoid). Wine available. We enjoyed the location, the... food and our evenings here. On our last visit, it was warm enough to eat outside under the bougainvillea, which was a delight. More

Not sure why this sort of place exists. It is not difficult to offer a friendly welcome but these guys just grunted. They clearly hate being waiters That, plus the next door table having a meeting from the Toni Erdmann movie, made for a poor... experience. Food was ok but expensive. More

It's a little hard to find at the far end of the yacht club, but well worth the extra steps. We sat outside under the loggia and enjoyed watching the water and boats. We ordered several appetizers to create our own meze platter. Every thing... was delicious. Great location and food! More

Step Into Jordan

Best Restaurants in Aqaba and Map to Find them

Whether you are visiting Jordan’s port city of Aqaba for a few hours or a few days, there are quite a few restaurants in Aqaba to choose from. Some might disagree on the best restaurants in Aqaba but the options below will give you plenty of choices while you enjoy the sunshine, the top beaches in Jordan, and the diving.

The Northernmost tip of the Red Sea is becoming a popular destination for holiday-makers, as more airlines are flying into its International Airport and taking advantage of its Special Economic Zone status (that means that visa fees are waived for visitors and businesses here enjoy reduced taxes). More and more restaurants in Aqaba are now catering to International tourists and printing English menus ( the big restaurants always did. Those ones are big giveaways with their menu’s on the sidewalk). But the restaurants frequented by locals are making it easier to order for the non-arabic speaking visitor.

I know the first time I wandered the streets I was stuck ordering what the chef suggested in the few words that we both understood. The meal was great, but I was not able to ask what else they had and he was not able to give me more details in English of the Arabic menu that they offered. That is part of the fun of travel, navigating language barriers, but it can also be the frustrating part, when you cannot get what you want.

AliBaba Restaurant

AliBaba is a popular Jordan seafood restaurant. It is well known for fresh seafood, mixed grille, and vegetarian plates. It also serves alcohol.

Khashoka Aqaba

Ratings and reviews, location and contact, top 3 reasons to eat here.

Very tasty authentic Jordanian food. Nice location straight at the peer. Service is very friendly, especially yazan has good recommendations and speaks good English.

A great restaurant on the marina of Aqaba. The employees are very nice and profesional, they'll make you feel like at home The food is delicious, a mix between Jordan and Turkish with many vegetarian dishesh👌. The restaurant is not just for tourists, also for... local people so they have a very competitive price. A must in Aqaba! More

There's many restaurants that should learn from this place. Lowkey but nonetheless nice and cozy, unpretentious but yet really competitive in matter of quality of product and service. When we went for dinner we could tell the waiters were stressed and tired, they were working... hard but they still delivered their best. We were hungry but honestly didn't expect much: the place is very central, is right next other restaurants... Felt just like a tourist trap. I don't know how authentic its food is, but it definitely was the best dinner of our vacation: delicious, abundant, tasty and the ratio of quality/price was perfect. I don't give it 5 stars just because you can't expect excellence at that volume of service, there just isn't enough time, but if you go to Aqaba you must try it. The chicken in whitesauce in a claypan was my favorite. More

This tiny place overlooking the sea is BIG on taste and BIG on value. We met some new friends on the way to Wadi Rum and shared a meal (we each ordered something and shared with the others). The food was fresh and tasty and... staff and owner were very welcoming. As an aside, my phone had drained and they let me recharge, and they even brought out a charger for another customer... If you are looking for great food and great value and and views of the Red Sea... this is the place More

My husband wanted traditional Jordanian food and I wanted fresh fish , so I ordered the filet of fish (Denise) and he ordered the Kuftah with tomatoes and Zaater with cheese manaesh. All of it was so excellent. My fish was perfectly grilled and extremely... tasty and the price was under 10 jd. We also got the dessert , om Ali, which was incredible. All in all with the mint tea I give them and the service a 10. Very very beautiful view as well. Can't beat the prices. . More

A quaint Resto in the royal Marina club. Serves traditional Jordanian/ Levantine cousine. Try the beef tahini and galaya a tomatoe based pan fried w onions, Chili and meat if you want it non vegetarian. The fish cooked in lemon and garlic is delicious so... are the side dishes. It over looks the sea. More

Khashoka Aqaba restaurant left a lasting impression with some of the finest food encountered during our journey through Jordan. The waitstaff, while incredibly polite, had a slight language barrier in English. Nevertheless, their warmth and dedication added to the overall positive experience. We indulged in... a gastronomic delight, savoring delectable dishes such as hummus, meat, and manakish. Each item surpassed expectations, showcasing the restaurant's culinary prowess. Located in the yacht club, Khashoka offers an unparalleled view, enhancing the dining ambiance. The setting, however, came with a minor drawback—music that was a tad too loud, mildly impacting the otherwise serene atmosphere. Despite this, Khashoka Aqaba remains a standout choice for those seeking exceptional cuisine with a stunning waterside backdrop. More

If you are looking for local traditional dishes in a clean place and traditional setting then this is the place . They have the best view ever!,over looking the amazing view of the Red Sea of Aqaba. Prices are very reasonable and service is very... good. In addition to the traditional falafel, and hummus there are various local dishes of meat , chicken or vegetarian with the local spices. Whatever u like you will find something to eat there. It’s real authentic experience in Aqaba. More

They serve oriental traditional food which is tasty for most of the dishes. Portions are a bit small which needs reconsidering. Prices are good. The restaurant should install better A/C as the hall was relatively hot in summer time

Delicious local food, with all the Jordanian specialities. We tried the garlic chicken the rice the humus with chicken shawarma and the scrambled eggs with a local cheese baked in the oven. Aws was very kind with a big smile just to add something more... to the hospitality of the restaurant. Totally recommend it More

Lovely location, with beautiful panoramic views of the sea and sunset for dinner. Our host Mohammed Hasanat was extremely helpful and guided us through the menu and offered his personal recommendations which were delicious. Worth a visit if you’re in the city

We just came to Kashuka for our dinner and Yazan gave us the best recommendations for food and for anything else about the city etc.! Totally recommend this place. Excellent view, food and service. Yazan speaks perfect English which helps a lot.

Fabulous view over the bay. Amazing food. Great decor and service. The best place we have eaten in Jordan. Prices very reasonable. We paid around 30JD for a meal For 4 adults with drinks. Came recommended by our dive instructor (Mick at Arab divers) -... especially the first item on the Turkish menu. It definitely didn’t disappoint. More

royal yacht club restaurant aqaba

Charmfull welcome. Very friendly and efficient service. Excellent dinner, very good products. Reasonable prices. We had dinner on the upper terrace with a view on the marina, fresh fishes from the red sea. Mine was wonderfully tastefull, same ton from other plates. A really very good stop. We all enjoyed the moment.

We stumbled across this delightful restaurant after spending the day walking around Aqaba. After a week in Jordan visiting Petra etc, this was by far the best meal we had. The fish was excellent, fresh and with delicious side dishes alongside friendly and professional service. We were admittedly quite surprised given the understated appearance of the restaurant. The prices were also far more reasonable than expected. We were prepared to pay at least 25% more than what we were charged. We couldn't recommend this place more.

An excellent restaurant with fantastic food, wonderful service and great ambience. And the prices are really reasonable! We were there with our two girls (11 yo & 13 yo) and everyone loved the food. The staff are very friendly and the service was just outstanding. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. Leave your hotel and walk down the street to this wonderful restaurant and have some great food while saving yourself some money
