Bobbi Althoff Recalls âSuper Awkwardâ Encounter With Lil Yachty Before Their Interview
Bobbi Althoff has opened up about the awkward encounter she had when meeting Lil Yachty prior to their recent interview.
The Really Good Podcast host joined Barstool Sportsâ BFFs podcast last week where she went into detail about the exchange when first walking into Yachtyâs mansion.
âI walked into his house and I felt so awkward,â she began. âWhen I walked into his house I was so uncomfortable because it was super awkward. Because heâs really kind of awkward and I heard that going into it.
âI walked into his house and he didnât really even say hi to me. I was like, âLetâs go to the bathroom.â We go to the bathroom then we get out and heâs sitting there with his two assistants and heâs not even acknowledging that Iâm in the room.â

Althoff texted her friend and was close to calling off the interview because of the cold encounter but she ended up leaning into it as part of her sit-down with Yachty as they went back-and-forth on what actually took place.
Boat downplayed the awkwardness of the situation around the 45-minute mark: âThe second my assistant said they were here, I came out!â
âYou gave us the most awkward hug Iâve ever had in my whole life,â Althoff replied. âI didnât want you to think that I was your type so I wore a blazer because I know how men get about shoulders out. I didnât want to give you too much of a hug.â
Some believe Bobbi taking shots at Yachty on BFFs could be the reason behind her apparent falling out with Drake as the two unfollowed each other on Instagram in recent days .
Althoffâs full interview with the 6 God has also been scrubbed from her podcastâs YouTube page.
Although, she pulled up to Drakeâs Itâs All A Blur Tour in Los Angeles at the Kia Forum over the weekend and she posted a clip looking annoyed while everyone sang along to âSICKO MODE.â
âReally in my element here @ this guys concert,â she captioned the post to Instagram.
The mother of two has parlayed connecting with the 6 God into more rap interviews, as sheâs had Tyga on her podcast with an Offset interview in the pipeline as well.

Who Is Bobbi Althoff? All About the Influencer Who's Interviewed Drake and Lil Yachty
Bobbi Althoff went viral for interviewing Drake in his bed on her podcast, 'The Really Good Podcast'
Rebecca Aizin is an Editorial Assistant at PEOPLE. She has been working at PEOPLE since 2023. Her work has previously appeared on Elle, HGTV and Backstage.Â
Bobbi Althoff went from posting mom content regularly to interviewing famous rappers in a matter of two years.
The 26-year-old influencer began posting videos on TikTok in 2021, mainly focusing on content surrounding her children and her pregnancy experiences. However, she skyrocketed to fame in 2023 when she began her podcast, The Really Good Podcast .
So far, Althoff has interviewed rappers Drake and Lil Yachty , businessman Mark Cuban , actor Rick Glassman and YouTuber Funny Marco, among others.
Known and beloved for her deadpan humor and for intentionally making her interviewees uncomfortable, Althoff has amassed over 7 million TikTok followers and more than 1 million subscribers on her YouTube channel , where she posts her podcast episodes.
However, since her success, some have questioned who Althoff is and how she rose to fame so quickly, prompting rumors that she is an âindustry plantâ â someone who is secretly being backed by the industry to help them achieve success.
In response to the gossip, Althoff posted a video of herself dancing awkwardly to Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice âs âBarbie World,â with the caption, âCelebrating because the industry planted me.â
So, who is Bobbi Althoff? Hereâs everything to know about the TikTok influencer and podcaster.
She started posting on TikTok in 2021
Althoff began posting regularly on TikTok in 2021, focusing mainly on content surrounding being a mom. Her early TikToks revolved around her pregnancy with her second daughter and motherhood.
In one of her first public TikToks from July 2021, Althoff wrote âwhen people choose to have their kids in their 20âs instead of waiting till they are at least 35+â over a video of herself mouthing the lyrics to Minaj's "Grindin'." She sings along to the words âdang little mama you is such a loserâ repeatedly, seemingly mimicking people who have made comments to her about being a young mom, asking, âWhy waste your youth?â in the caption.
She continued posting videos through 2022, mainly of her pregnancy, like clips of her dancing and struggling in the heat at Disneyland .
In the latter, she joked how she was "10 months pregnant" and at the theme park in the June heat.
âI was hoping that Iâd be able to walk her out or something but that doesnât feel like itâs happening,â she said. âSheâs never coming, I will be pregnant for the rest of my life and thatâs just something Iâm going to have to accept.â
Her husband filed for divorce in February 2024
Bobbi and her husband, Cory Althoff, wed on Jan. 31, 2020, and share two children. Sadly, in February 2024, Cory filed for divorce . He listed July 4, 2023, as the date of the couple's separation.
"As sad as I am right now, I am so thankful for the time I got to be his wife," Bobbi wrote on Instagram after the news broke. "While our relationship did not work out as husband and wife, we will always be friends and I will always love him ."
According to his LinkedIn , Cory is a programmer who works as a senior vice president at CompTIA and is a published author of two books about self-teaching computer science and coding.
In April 2023, Cory made a rare appearance on Bobbiâs TikTok as the two made a promotional video for Bounty together. In the video, she talked about how Cory cleans the house â only to reveal she cleans everything after him because he âalways misses tiny things.â
âToday I thought it would be a fun idea to talk about our marriage,â Bobbi said in the video. âMy husband sleeps downstairs and I sleep upstairs where the children sleep and I take care of them all night long so Iâm generally tired so he does all the cleaning.â
On Dave Portnoy's BFFs podcast , Bobbi shared that she doesn't sleep with her husband since she shares her bed with her two kids.
She shares two children with Cory
Althoff has two daughters, whom she refers to as Concrete and Richard, in an effort to keep their names and identities private. While she never shows their faces, she has featured her younger child on her TikTok since the baby was born in June 2022.
In her younger daughter's first appearance, Althoff posted a video of herself just a few weeks after giving birth as she got ready with the newborn to do chores.
âIâm gonna baby wear her so that I can get some laundry done and just get some stuff done around the house,â she said in the TikTok.
Sticking with the bit that she named her daughter Concrete, Althoff responded with a video to a comment in November 2022 of someone critiquing her name choice.
âI donât see anything wrong with the name Concrete,â she said. âIt is a pretty common word so I donât understand why it would not make a good name. My daughter is going to be a very strong woman with a very strong name for her.â
She continued, âI grew up in the construction business and I just always wanted my daughter to have some ties to myself so yes her name is Concrete Sawdust Althoff so I encourage you guys to think outside the box when naming your children because the future will be a better place if we stop caring about what we name our littles.â
Althoff has since deleted all her videos with her children, explaining on the BFFs podcast that she didn't want them to have a digital footprint.
"I'm so happy I [deleted the videos], especially since I made that decision before [the podcast] because I don't want them to have the digital footprint that I've created," she said. "Now when they go public and they're not with me, I don't have to worry so that's good."
She started her podcast in April 2023
Althoff debuted her podcast, The Really Good Podcast, in April 2023, and one of her first guests was Tammin Sursok, who played Jenna on Pretty Little Liars . Althoff cemented her signature awkward, confrontational style when one of her first questions was, âSo you were on a show called Pretty Little Liars . Was the lie that youâre pretty?â
Months later, Althoff revealed on the BFFs podcast that she used to drive to Los Angeles once a week and would pay influencers $300 to join her podcast.
Since then, she has welcomed various other influencers and stars on her podcast, including TikTok star Morgan Presley and Not Dead Yet actor Rick Glassman.
In an April TikTok promoting her podcast, Althoff wrote about how starting a podcast was always a dream of hers.
âIâve always dreamed of having my own podcastâŠSo I filmed a pilot episodeâŠ,â she wrote. âEveryone I showed it to said it was awful..They said I wouldnât secure celebrity guests anymoreâŠThat no one would watch it ⊠But I proved them wrong ⊠It got 6 views and my famous neighbor agreed to do an episodeâŠ.Donât give up on your dreams. Ever.â
In an interview with TODAY in August 2023, Althoff said she got the idea to start a podcast using the "dry humor" character she's known for â and emphasized that's not how she is in real life.
A week later, Althoff shared with Cosmopolitan how she doesn't prepare too much for her interviews â but thinks her awkward style is what makes them special.
â Thereâs no prep, and thatâs the fun of it,â she explained. âI think thatâs why celebrities are down to do it. They know itâs a character, and we just wing it. Itâs not a real interview. Iâm not trying to get hard-hitting information about you â Iâm not trying to uncover anything. Itâs just a conversation. Itâs really a parody of a good interview.â
She interviewed Drake and Lil Yachty in July 2023
After over 2 million views on her interview with YouTuber Funny Marco, Althoff had already gone viral. But her fame escalated when she teased that the next episode of her podcast would be with Drake.
On TODAY, Althoff said that the interview came about when Drake saw her episode with Funny Marco and liked the video and followed her.
"When I saw he followed me, I was like I'm gonna ask," she said. She proceeded to direct message him, and three days later, she was interviewing him in bed.
Her full 1-hour long interview on YouTube, which was released on July 20, 2023, garnered over 9 million views. During her conversation with the star, Althoff maintained her stoic, quiet tone the entire time and did not appear impressed with Drake â nor the fact that they were conducting the interview in a bed.
"The idea behind it was it would be a funny thing that you wanted to do it so bad that you bothered him while he was going to bed to do it," she explained on TODAY. "Now we do all my podcasts in random locations."
During one particularly jokingly tense moment, Althoff asked Drake not to drink while she interviews him.
âItâs a nightcap!â he said.
âItâs sad,â she replied. Â
Just weeks after she interviewed Drake, however, fans noticed that the Certified Lover Boy rapper and the podcast host had unfollowed each other on Instagram, and Althoff took down her interview with him from all her platforms.
The unfollowing came just days after Althoff posted a TikTok of herself attending Drake's concert in L.A. where she stood in the crowd with her arms crossed with her signature deadpan expression as people danced around her. âReally in my element @ this guyâs concert,â she jokingly captioned the post.Â
In July 2023, Althoff also posted another hour-long interview with rapper Lil Yachty where the two joked about being young parents, fame and their careers. In the middle of the interview, Drake even called Lil Yachty and shouted hello to Althoff.Â
âWhatâs up Bobbo?â Drake said as Lil Yachty turned the phone toward her.
In August 2023, she interviewed Mark Cuban.
She shared that her podcast popping off was "crazy." "I always wanted it to blow up obviously, you hope for something but it's crazy when it actually happens," she said.
Shaquille O'Neal asked her on a date
When Shaquille O'Neal was chatting with Funny Marco on an episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq, the rumors that Marco and Althoff have been dating came up, and Marco refused to answer the NBA legend's question about how long they had been dating.
O'Neal took matters into his own hands and called Althoff on camera to ask her out on a date.
"I'm sitting here with Funny Marco. He told me to ask you on a date , so can I take you to the movies?" he asked, to which she replied, "Sure."

Drake Interrupts Lil Yachty's "The Really Good Podcast" Interview With Bobbi Althoff
In the latest episode of âThe Really Good Podcast,â host Bobbi Althoff turned her focus on hip hop heavyweight Lil Yachty today (July 27). Following her headline-grabbing interview with Drake, the TikTok star’s latest one-on-one gifted listeners with another riveting hour of candid dialogue.
Early in their exchange, she broached the depth of Yachty’s relationship with the Toronto superstar. With Yachty comfortably dressed in an “I Love Scene H**s” t-shirt, he offered a refreshingly candid response. The artist suggested that their rapport runs as deep as “the center of the Earth.” Although he stopped short of declaring Drizzy his best friend worldwide, the Atlanta native admitted he is certainly in his “Top 3.”
Toward the end of their conversation, Drake fittingly interrupted the interview. In a snippet shared alongside the episode’s debut, Althoff stated, “Don’t say nothing crazy.”
The “God’s Plan” hitmaker revealed, “It ain’t easy. It’s a tough one to power through, I’m not going to lie to you. God bless her heart, though.” Yachty responded, “Brother, I’m the one holding this conversation alive. I’ll tell you that much.”

Elsewhere in the conversation, Yachty spoke to the TikToker about his latest venture, “A Safe Place Podcast.” He explained, “I did it for my best friend… I did it because I wanted to make him rich.” When asked whether it was working, the musician replied, “Not yet. Well, I don’t know. We got our first sponsor. We got a pretty good signing deal. He’s not rich, but he has more money than he started with.”
Moreover, Althoffâs sit-down with Drake not only paved the way for her exchange with Yachty but also bolstered her show’s reputation. The Toronto nativeâs scolding of the host for missing her daughter’s first birthday for their interview sparked amusement and debate among fans.
Evident in this interview, the special camaraderie between Drake and Yachty highlighted the mutual respect they share. Yachty’s acknowledgment of the rapper as a role model echoed the sentiments of many others in the industry, including 21 Savage and Ice Spice.

Who is Bobbi Althoff? The TikToker who seemingly went from obscurity to having to shut down rumors she hooked up with rapper Drake
- Bobbi Althoff has taken over TikTok â and social media at-large â with her alluringly awkward podcast clips.
- She has only produced a handful of episodes, but they include big names like Drake and Lil Yachty.
- Before making her comedic podcast, "The Really Good Podcast," she found fame as a mom influencer.
25-year-old Bobbi Althoff is quickly becoming one of the biggest and most polarizing podcasters of the year.
Althoff first became known as a mom influencer on TikTok (or a MomToker) before privatizing her account and reemerging with comedic content. Clips from her podcast "The Really Good Podcast" have amassed tens of millions of views on the app. Since launching the podcast in 2021, she's managed to score A-list interviews with Drake and Lil Yachty, among others, in a shockingly short amount of time.
The quick rise in success has also led some to accuse the influencer and host of being an industry plant .
Along with her star-studded guests, Althoff herself has become famous (or infamous, rather) for a deliberately deadpan persona. Her interviews aren't in the traditional Q&A format; they're dry and intentionally awkward, like episodes of Nathan Fielder's surreal comedy "Nathan For You." The influencer talks slowly and quietly, almost as if performing ASMR, and often instigates or leaves deliberate pauses to create discomfort. The humor of her videos is less about punch lines and more about seeing the baffled and unexpected reactions from the celebrities she interviews. Her podcast clips are often in video format, so the facial expressions of her and her guests play a crucial role.
As people are feverishly asking and googling who Bobbi Althoff is , here is what you need to know about the woman who some people feel "popped up out of thin air."
Althoff first found some success as a MomTok influencer.
Althoff first found internet fame as a mom influencer, according to TODAY . Her original account, @bobbialthon, has over 1.2 million followers but has been set to private. In the comments of a video published to her new channel, @bobbialthoff , in early 2022, she said she was turning the first account into a spam account and will be focusing full-time on comedy.
In videos that are still available to view from her old channel because of other people stitching them, she appeared to once offer sarcastic parenting advice: In one clip, she said she doesn't believe in allowing babies to crawl ; in another, she proudly said she named her daughter "Richard."

Her new channel, which has almost 5 million followers, also features videos about being a mom, with many of them documenting her pregnancy in 2021 and 2022. Similar to how she jokingly called her daughter "Richard," she said she named her second child "Concrete."
Althoff stopped posting personal life content on TikTok around April of this year, which is also when she began uploading her podcast clips.
Althoff launched her podcast in early 2023.
"The Really Good Podcast" has only had a handful of guests to date.
In an ironic twist of fate, her first guest was YouTuber Colleen Ballinger, who has faced serious backlash this year after multiple former fans accused her of having an inappropriate relationship with them when they were underage. While Ballinger's fanbase continues to dwindle, Althoff's has grown immensely.
In one clip of the episode uploaded to her Instagram in April, Althoff and Ballinger jokingly argued about whether Althoff invited her on the podcast or if she requested to be on it. The description of the post says that the full podcast is available on Althoff's YouTube channel, but the episode appears to have since been taken down.
View this post on Instagram A post shared by Bobbi Althoff (@bobbialthoff)
Her next guest was Rick Glassman, a comedian and actor known for his role in the NBC sitcom "Undateable." She's posted excerpts from the podcast to her TikTok and Instagram with deliberately combative captions like, "This d-list actor tried to get me canceled on my own podcast⊠"
Viewers said they actually enjoyed how stressful it is to watch her interviews, with some saying they like the idea of a host and guest fighting to make each other uncomfortable.
Althoff began to gain traction with other influencer comedians. Then Drake's appearance shocked everyone.
After Glassman, Althoff interviewed the comedian Deric Cahill and the TikToker Morgan Presley , but the podcasts appear to have been taken down except for a few stray clips.
Althoff and her podcast started going viral after featuring clips with Funny Marco, an internet-famous comedian with millions of followers on TikTok and Instagram. She uploaded nine excerpts from her video podcast with Funny Marco, which have been viewed a cumulative 70 million times. Her biggest Marco clip featured him ambiguously asking her if she "was easy," and she intentionally misinterpreted the question (as in easy to get along with).
@bobbialthoff I will be posting the rest of my interview with Drake to YouTube soon⊠⏠original sound - Bobbi
She then skyrocketed in searches and popularity after releasing a long interview with Drake earlier this month. In the clips that have individually gone viral, she and the rapper are sitting under blankets in a bed, but she appears stern and indifferent towards him the entire time. In the most viewed clip of the episode, the two jokingly spar after Althoff calls Drake out for referencing his own song at one point.
Althoff's next guest will be Lil Yachty.
This week, Althoff posted a video teasing that rapper Lil Yachty would be her next guest. The teaser clip, which already has over 7 million views, features the two squabbling after Yachty imagines a future scenario where he meets her at a Pizza Hut.
"I would love to see you at a Pizza Hut takeout one day in like five years, as you're getting in your fucking Bentley, with your Chanel shades on," the rapper joked.
The podcast episode is set to premiere on Thursday.

Comments under Althoff's videos have begun to fill up with fans requesting interviews with other stars, like Tyler, the Creator, Post Malone, and Kevin Gates. Replying to a comment requesting she interview the comedian Theo Von, Althoff said, "Soon."
Amid her success, Althoff has been accused of being an "industry plant."
Althoff's sudden rise to ubiquity on social media has startled some internet users, who are now accusing her of being an industry plant, a term for people who quickly rise to fame because it's suspected they have the secret backing of industry professionals.
People are demanding to know how she quickly locked collaborations with massive celebrities like Drake and Yachty on her show. And how a white woman grew a platform to interview Black celebrities: "Does her father own Drake's masters? I'm trying to figure out how this industry plant is interviewing Drake when respected Black journalists can't even get a nod from him," one person tweeted .
Others have accused her of stealing Funny Marco's style of comedy since he has a similarly surrealist and deadpan approach.
Insider has reached out to Althoff for comment.
While she has not addressed these criticisms or allegations publicly, before her recent surge in virality, she had a sizable fanbase on TikTok for years.
After the Drake video mysteriously disappeared from Althoff's YouTube channel, rumors sparked about their friendship.
@bobbialthoff Really in my element here @ this guys concert ⏠original sound - Bobbi
On August 13, Althoff posted a video to her TikTok account which showed her standing, arms crossed, looking unimpressed at a concert while Drake could be heard performing in the background.
"Really in my element here @ this guys concert," the caption of the video read, which received over 25.7 million views.
As of a day later, the interview featuring Drake had been removed from both YouTube and Spotify, and clips featuring the same interview were deleted from Althoff's TikTok account, and fans noticed the two had also unfollowed each other on Instagram, prompting speculation they'd had a rift, Insider previously reported .
Althoff shut down rumors that she 'hooked up' with Drake, according to Instagram DMs she leaked to set the record straight.
Althoff appeared on Dave Portnoy's podcast "BFFS" on August 11 where she discussed the Drake interview.
It appears a short video was uploaded to tease the episode, which was edited to make it look as though Portnoy was about to reveal Althoff told him there had been a sexual relationship between her and Drake.
In Response, Althoff publicly revealed screenshots of what appeared to be Instagram DMs between her and Portnoy in which he had written, "My girlfriend says you hooked up with Drake and got divorced. I am saying that is not true."
Althoff responded, "I am not commenting publicly but off the record, you're right that is not true."
In a video posted to TikTok on August 17, which received 2.6 million views, Portnoy apologized for a section of his podcast where he had spoken about the private messages and wrote the clip had been edited by his social media team "to make it seem juicy which is bullshit."

Share All sharing options for: The satire, ironic boredom, and Drake-fueled mystery of podcaster Bobbi Althoff, explained
Bobbi Althoff doesnât want you to take her seriously.
Althoff hosts The Really Good Podcast . The phrase âreally goodâ isnât an earnest declaration of quality, but rather the summation of Althoffâs brand of perpetually detached, flat-affect daring: Go ahead and tell her itâs not âreally good.â She would never claim the talk show is rigorous, researched, or anything but awkward. The podcast, like the character Althoff is playing on it, is supposed to be ironically pleasant enough.
But, like, only if you get it.
The Really Good Podcast âs subscriber numbers and Althoffâs profile rose over the past few months after the 26-year-old TikToker, once known for mom content , switched mediums and landed an interview with the press-averse Drake in July 2023. Adding to the lore was the fact that Althoff scored the life-changing conversation via a series of Instagram DMs. While the interview did happen, the episode was ultimately deleted in August with no further official explanation from Althoff or the rapper as to why.
Since then, Althoff has parlayed that interview and her style â unfazed, dry, bored in an ironic way â into more episodes featuring guests like Mark Cuban, Maluma, Lil Yachty, and Shaq to the tune of hundreds of thousands of views. She asks her interview subjects what they wear, how they live, and what they like to eat, but doesnât seem that interested in what they have to say. She meets most of them with deadpan sarcasm and silence, making her guests live in the discomfort of whatever they just revealed.
But itâs Althoffâs recent interview with rapper Offset that has brought her back into the mainstream conversation. Unlike previous guests, Offset took charge of the conversation, flipping the tables on Althoff and dragging her mercilessly, at one point comparing her to unsalted chicken meat.
It raised the question of just why Althoff is so popular and why sheâs been so successful. It calls into question Althoffâs persona and what exactly people are laughing at. In many ways, it was a really good podcast, but perhaps not in the way Althoff intended.
What Bobbi Althoffâs whole deal is
If you look through Althoffâs videos on YouTube and dig into the comments section â the place for people who have the strongest opinions and the most time on their hands â the replies have a common theme. Her biggest fans like these videos because they believe Althoff is providing something more irreverent than regular celebrity interviews. To her followers, Althoffâs interviews upend what these conversations are supposed to be, and in turn unsettle the famous people who know exactly how they are supposed to act â generally.
Most celebrity interviews and profiles â on talk shows or in entertainment magazines â just serve as publicity for whatever an actor or musician is working on next. Thereâs a slew of expected questions and pre-prepped answers that donât really tell an audience anything except when a new movie is coming out or how to preorder an album. Look at any press tour and youâll see answers repeated over and over in competing publications.
Althoff doesnât really allow for that.
Watching and listening to her feels like someone brought to life Olivia Mossbacher â the mean white teenage girl played by Sydney Sweeney on the first season of HBOâ s White Lotus â or as my editor insists, like NBC figured out how to combine Parks and Recreation âs April Ludgate (Aubrey Plaza) with The Office âs Pam Beesly (Jenna Fischer). She doesnât like to make eye contact. Her arms are seemingly always crossed. Whether sheâs saying something cutting, something hilarious, or something to indicate genuine interest, thereâs no emotion in her crispy, deep-fried voice. It all conjures up a vibe that sheâd rather be anywhere else than interviewing this extremely famous person.
When this works, it leads to some fun.
In the episode with singer Jason Derulo , Althoff uses her deliberate awkwardness as an avenue through which to ask Derulo about the shirt heâs wearing. Theyâre both dressed casually. Derulo is wearing a tangerine cutoff tank and a pair of shorts but canât name the designer.
âDo you not buy your clothes?â she asks. She looks like sheâs about to pounce, as much as Althoff can look like someone who would actually pounce. âI was just wondering if you have someone whoâs like, âHereâs your shirt for today .ââ
âA lot of days, like, I get a lot of different options laid out,â Derulo replies. âBut then, you know, Iâll like pick an option.â
âOkay, just hard work,â Althoff smirks, eliciting an awkward sighing laugh from Derulo.
Derulo looks like heâs going to the gym, and this interview appears as casual as can be. But the truth is that thereâs someone else in charge of going to the store and buying Deruloâs casual clothes. That person, or someone else on the payroll, then picked out a series of clothes to suit this interview, and Derulo chose from that assortment. Apparently, according to Derulo, this happens on a lot of days of his existence. That means when we see Derulo in his media appearances, out and about in paparazzi photos, or even the days when we donât see Derulo and heâs just living, thereâs likely someone who picked out his outfits.
This revelation is a small detail and came from gentle ribbing, but it brings into focus how constructed Deruloâs image is. Whether itâs asking Charlie Puth about whether his team prepared him for a hurricane, interrogating Shaq about how he couldnât travel with his private chef, or grilling Lil Yachty about his $90,000 veneers, Althoff has a way of bringing into focus how starkly different the way celebrities live life â and think about money â is from regular humans.
Despite the many assurances that they are just like us, celebrities arenât. The fun of Althoffâs show is having these very rich and famous people acknowledge that themselves and, often, laugh at the gulf between our lives and theirs.
Bobbi Althoff didnât invent the deadpan interview (and hasnât really improved it)
Althoffâs success isnât a total surprise. The type of purposefully uncomfortable style sheâs implementing has been done and critically lauded before. Althoff has drawn comparisons to Zach Galifianakis on Between Two Ferns , Diana Morgan as Philomena Cunk on Cunk on Earth , and Amelia Dimoldenberg on Chicken Shop Date , but with less charm and skill.
Another particularly potent comparison is comedian Ziwe. The writer and talk show host rose to fame by asking controversial, semi-famous white women like Caroline Calloway , Alison Roman , and Rose McGowan impossibly uncomfortable questions about race, like if white people should get cookies for being allies, and if they could name five Asian people in all of history.
Ziwe landed a satirical talk show on Showtime, where she continued to roast her guests while also calling into question broader issues of how beauty, race, and money operate in the world.
âCan you tell us how white boy summer is different from the past 400 summers in American history?â Ziwe asks Chet Haze, a white rapper who sometimes has a Jamaican accent and is also Tom Hanks and Rita Wilsonâs son.
âI guess not. I donât know. I think it started with me getting a fresh-ass haircut and I was feeling myself,â Haze replies, likely failing to recognize Ziweâs barb about oppression, or possibly fully understanding the joke and proceeding to talk about his haircut anyway.
The tension and humor that Ziwe â who is also playing a satirical version of herself â is able to create in that interview with Haze works because sheâs done her work and seems genuinely interested in what Haze has to say, even if itâs extreme.
The comedy of asking Haze about oppression and white boy summer works because it comes partly at Ziweâs expense. Sheâs earnestly asking Haze â someone who has never claimed to be a spokesperson for race and inequality nor is revered as one â an absurd question. The same goes for Galifianakis asking Justin Bieber about why he thinks Anne Frank is a Belieber, or Morgan as Cunk asking historians whose renaissance is better: BeyoncĂ©âs or the European artistic movement of the 15th and 16th centuries.
Satire works because thereâs an awareness of the absurdity. Itâs sharp and considered, with something larger to say about celebrity, history, money, race, or whatever the satirist has taken aim at.
Each episode, Ziweâs, Morganâs, and Galifianakisâs characters are, for the sake of the bit, genuinely engaged in their guests but also find a way to stay true to the satire. Theyâre hitting the beats we expect but adapting it to the situation.
In its weakest moments, Althoffâs sardonic boredom has no deeper level to it, nothing beyond its vapidity. Althoff said herself that she is unprepared and doesnât research , which doesnât make for the hardest-hitting interviews. It raises the question of exactly how long she can keep this all going (Althoff has live shows scheduled later in theaters this year). If all she has to offer is general disinterest, whatâs the difference if Althoff is interviewing Offset or Drake or Maluma or Charlie Puth? At some point, all these interviews bleed into one another, making them harder to distinguish and more similar to the same-same celebrity interviews her fans loathe.
How Offset changed Bobbi Althoffâs show
While Althoffâs interviews have gotten hundreds of thousands of views, it was her interview with rapper Offset that aimed a mainstream spotlight on the podcaster. On the September 28 episode , Althoff employed a riff on Offsetâs clothes â asking him why he chose his outfit (boots, shorts, and a leather jacket) â not unlike she did with Derulo. Offset had a different response.
âBecause youâre not gonna do it,â Offset replies to her. âI dress the way that you wonât dress because you donât get it, you donât get the language, you donât get it.â
A few seconds later, Althoff replies: âI feel like you maybe are insecure about that question. because you answered very defensively. I was trying to understand; you donât have to be so mean.â
He then explains to her that people who dress like Althoff â whose style Offset describes as 36-year-old mom â donât get the idea of personal style. He turns the tables on Althoff, asking her, essentially, if she picked out her outfit and why she put it together that way for an interview with him. âWhy would you go 2000s tank with the open button-up?â he says. âYou put that together. Itâs just not all the way together.â
Among other barbs exchanged â Offset not knowing who she is, Offset telling Althoff not to make fun of his finances, Offset telling Althoff her legs and ankles are ashy, Offset telling Althoff that she is like an unseasoned piece of chicken â Offset roasts Althoffâs interview style.
âHell nah,â he tells her when asked if he would recommend going on the podcast to his friends. He then goes in on Althoffâs deadpan voice and lack of enthusiasm. âYou should be Siri. Deadass. No playing shit. You should hit Apple and be like, âYo, itâs 2023. Itâs time for the new Siri voice.â You could apply for that shit and theyâre gonna give it to you. And thatâs gonna be more money . â
âYou should go write new music,â she volleys back.
âSteve Jobs. âHey Steve ,ââ Offset continues his joke.
Althoffâs episode with Offset has over 2.2 million views on YouTube, significantly more than her recent videos with Maluma , Derulo, J. Balvin , Shaq, and Puth (her video views peaked after the Drake interview in July ). Since the episode aired, Offset has maintained that thereâs no hard feelings between the two, that it was a positive experience, and talked about how it was all in jest.
While it might have been fun for both parties, Althoffâs lack of playfulness and quickness in that Offset installment brought attention to her podcast style. It even had some questioning her fame.
Critics called her mediocre and a bad host , and said her schtick was tired . Others compared her to the aforementioned hosts, noting how she was passing off a poorer version of that style of interview. Some critics pointed out that the Offset interview highlighted that Althoffâs humor tends to play on the fact that sheâs a white woman whoâs uncomfortable in Black spaces and purposely uninterested around Black people and people of color:
Iâm being so serious right now when I ask, why is she always near Black folk? Is that the only way her âhumorâ works? https://t.co/tse44Eux4F â @[email protected] (@Imani_Barbarin) October 1, 2023
That critique raises the question of what people find so funny about Althoff and who exactly finds it funny. Is Althoff asking these very famous celebrities questions about their very expensive, out-of-touch lives inherently funny? Or is the comedy in the implicit notion of how uncomfortable Black culture makes this white woman? Do her interviews with Charlie Puth and Mark Cuban get as many clicks as Shaq or Offset? (They do not.)
Althoff has maintained that the person she is on her podcast is a character, that the Bobbi Althoff on the air is not who the real Bobbi Althoff is, and that her biggest critics donât fully understand her.
âIâm very insecure, and the character that Iâve created is made up of my biggest insecurities. Iâve just made her into someone whoâs proud of who she is,â Althoff told Cosmopolitan in an interview this summer. She also explained that the celebrities she has on know that theyâre interacting with that character Althoff has created.
âIâve always been so embarrassed about being socially awkward. Now, Iâve exaggerated that and made it even worse for this character. Itâs a fun way to take control of this thing thatâs been horrible for me my whole life,â Althoff continued.
Perhaps Althoff is really committed to this bit, which includes ironic displeasure at talking to people of color, Black rappers especially. Maybe her biggest critics just donât get that Althoff is making a joke about white womenâs self-importance, if thatâs her intention.
But sheâs not made a convincing argument that sheâs skillfully executing that satire. Her jokes, especially in the Offset interview, float on one level â that this specific Caucasian woman is rude and disinterested â never threatening to be anything more substantial. Althoffâs failure isnât that sheâs rude or disinterested, but that sheâs incapable of challenging her audience beyond that.

A-listers are flocking to cringe interviewer bobbi althoff’s podcast. can the viral shtick last .

“I would call her the queen of the fringe of cringe,” says Vinnie Potestivo, an Emmy Award–winning TV executive who has developed talent for series such as MTV ’s Punk’d , The Osbournes and Boiling Points. “This idea of the media being on the fringe of cringe is not a new trend. This is true, tried and tested. The difference is most people see podcasting as bad social media content,” Potestivo adds. “And this is where Bobbi actually got it right. Bobbi’s like, you wanna see bad social media content? You wanna see a train wreck?”
When asked why she started doing interviews as an alter ego versus herself on the May 10 episode of Tammin Sursok and Roxy Manning’s podcast Woman on Top earlier this year, Althoff replied, “Myself doesn’t get views, I had to [go] where the money was.”
“My issue is the quote-unquote humor in these interviews that Bobbi conducts,” says music journalist Naima Cochrane. “The optics of it with Black men, especially, are rooted in the fact that she is a pretty white woman who is clueless about Black culture and hip-hop culture and doesn’t care to be informed about Black culture and hip-hop culture. The entire humor of it is like, oh, this white girl doesn’t care to be here. Why is that funny to us?”
What underlies Cochrane’s frustration is the same concern that led sports journalist Jemele Hill to express her displeasure with Althoff’s rise to fame on X, formerly known as Twitter, when she wrote on Sept. 25, “I don’t find these types of interviews particularly enjoyable or interesting. Instead, it just sadly points out how real Hip-Hop journalism has been practically erased.”
Althoff has been accused of copying the interview style of other popular Black hosts such as Ziwe and Funny Marco , who’s appeared on her show . Her podcast has also drawn comparisons to Zach Galifianakis’ Between Two Ferns and Amelia Dimoldenberg’s Chicken Shop Date , which similarly put guests in awkward positions.
“Those satirical sit-downs would be a little gotcha-y, but there was some research, there were some notecards, an actual interview was conducted. With Althoff, it very much seems like there’s no prep,” says Cochrane. “As somebody who conducts interviews for a living, I find it highly disrespectful and a waste of time.”
Althoff confirmed as much when she told told Cosmo , “There’s no prep, and that’s the fun of it. I think that’s why celebrities are down to do it. They know it’s a character, and we just wing it. It’s not a real interview. I’m not trying to get hard-hitting information about you — I’m not trying to uncover anything. It’s just a conversation. It’s really a parody of a good interview.”
“ Podcasters are seen as strong word-of-mouth authorities,” says Potestivo, who’s also the host of I Have a Podcast . “She’s getting guests because podcasters are the most impactful media personalities when it comes to creating word of mouth. If you can get other people to share your content, and if visibility times shareability equals discoverability, then what Bobbi’s doing is kind of brilliant.”
As a former music label marketing executive, Cochrane disagrees with the value proposition for artists. “What’s interesting to me is that her stuff doesn’t live. She pulls episodes down,” she says, referring to Althoff’s removal of her interviews with Drake and Lil Yachty. “If my team brought this to me, my question would have been, ‘How is that going to drive our album sales?’ She doesn’t even know what her guests are there to promote.”
In the wake of Althoff’s controversial chat with Offset, her subsequent interview with Scarlett Johansson raised eyebrows even higher for what some viewers perceived to be a different conversation style altogether — one in which Althoff actually appears interested in and knowledgeable about her subject. Johansson is also, notably, the first white woman Althoff appears to have spoken with for her podcast.
“I’m not calling Bobbi Althoff some kind of racist,” adds Hill. “I don’t know this woman and I would never say that about her, but I do think that there is some level of understanding that how she interacts with Black celebrities plays and looks differently than it does when she’s with other people.”
Black audiences’ poor reception of Althoff may lead to hesitation from Black artists to appear on her show in the future, which is something Hill would like to see.
“I know Black entertainers who are very intentional about who they sit down with, who they allow to have access to them, and who they allow to tell their stories. I would like to see more Black entertainers be more intentional about that,” she says, noting “there’s enough responsibility to go around” when it comes to Althoff’s newfound fame and its potential to continue to rise.
At the end of the day, it will be viewers who have the final say about whether Althoff’s antics are worth consuming, says Potestivo.
“To be really blunt, it’s an indie podcast, meaning a network can’t be held responsible for canceling this,” he adds. “The old-school version of what we would do as an audience if we didn’t like something is make sure the platform that was supporting her wasn’t supporting her, right? In this case, it’s for us to figure out what happens next.”

Who Is The Woman That Interviewed Drake In Bed, Bobbi Althoff?
If you keep up with pop culture in any way, chances are you've come across a video featuring a fully-dressed Drake relaxing in a bed. Sitting across from the "Nonstop" rapper in that video was Bobbi Althoff, a comedian turned podcast host who has taken social media by storm thanks to her dry sense of humor and unique delivery of jokes. The interview was actually for Althoff's "The Really Good Podcast," Â and it ended up going viral.Â
Althoff is taking the podcast world by storm and has been making headlines for her interviews with various big names, from rapper Lil Yachty to "Shark Tank" star Mark Cuban . Althoff, who considers herself "more of an entertainer and comedian" than a journalist (as she said to Cosmopolitan ) is very much coming into her own â and she's starting to get recognized for it.Â
Althoff lives in California with her husband, Cory Althoff, and their two kids. And while she may seem like your run-of-the-mill 20-something-year-old mom who has found her way into the comedy sphere, there is way more to her than what meets the eye.
Bobbi Althoff has 6 million followers on TikTok
Like many comedians, Bobbi Althoff decided to start posting some fun videos on TikTok as a way to gain exposure. She shared her very first TikTok in April 2021 and has posted fairly consistently ever since. She has managed to grow her following to an impressive 6 million and she's amassed well over 190 million likes. Althoff doesn't do much to sell herself in her bio, simply writing that she's the host of "The Really Good Podcast" and leaving an email contact for her team over at WME, a talent agency that represents major celebs like Kim Kardashian and John Travolta.
Since launching on the platform, Althoff has shared a variety of different content, including funny videos about her kids. "When the hospital just lets you leave with a living breathing brand new human you are responsible for,"Â she captioned a TikTok of herself holding her newborn baby in July 2022.Â
As time has gone on, Althoff has shifted her focus on the platform. Rather than sharing content that she created specifically for the app, she generally posts clips of the interviews that she's done by way of her podcast.Â
Bobbi Althoff launched her podcast in April 2023
After months of creating content on TikTok, Bobbi Althoff said that she needed a change. "I was burnt out from being on my own. I wanted to collaborate with other people, and I was trying to figure out how to make my TikTok page more of a career," she said in an interview with Cosmopolitan . She told the outlet that she was actually inspired by a TikTok video shared by Jenna Palek, who started the "Fun on Weekdays" podcast â and the rest is pretty much history.Â
Althoff's first podcast guest was comedian and actor Colleen Ballinger. The episode was released on YouTube but it has since been deleted. Althoff released a clip of the interview on Instagram  but received very mixed feedback. "Trolling is such a disgusting behavior of this new era. All these videos are cringy af. Not funny, not cute, simply toxic," one Instagram user commented. "If [people] don't think her sense of humor is funny, something's wrong with you.. I can't stop laughing," another Instagram comment read.Â
In the time since, Althoff has interviewed a handful of other stars, and her most recent episode, on August 10, was with Tyga. While chatting with Cosmopolitan, Althoff revealed that her dream podcast guest would be Post Malone.
The questions that Bobbi Althoff asks her podcast guests are very straight forward
Bobbi Althoff takes a very different approach to podcasting from most other podcasters, by integrating a rather monotone and serious joke delivery throughout everything she says, often catching her guests off guard. For example, when she sat down with "Pretty Little Liars" star Tammin Sursok, she kicked things off with quite a punch. "So, you were on a show called 'Pretty Little Liars.' Was the lie that you're pretty?" Althoff asked, remaining completely deadpan and serious, as seen in a clip that the actor shared on her own TikTok . Fortunately, Sursok played into the joke, making for a great segment.Â
It's clear her guests are either in on the joke, or incredibly uncomfortable with her style â perhaps a little of both. In another example, while Althoff was chatting with Drake, she asked him flat out about how much money he had. "A significant amount," he responded . When Althoff asked him if he could afford to buy her a Lamborghini and not even think about it, he simply said, "Yeah."Â
During her interview with Tyga, she trolled him when he started using a battery-operated fan to cool himself down. "It's really hot,"Â he said , looking at Althoff. She stared at him blankly, and the two shared a moment that was undoubtedly more awkward for him than it was for her.
Bobbi Althoff is married to a programmer
Bobbi Althoff is married to Cory Althoff, who is the senior vice president of software development programs at CompTIA, according to his LinkedIn . He obtained a bachelor's degree in political science from Clemson University and began a career as a software engineer. He took some time off from the corporate world to publish two books, "The Self-Taught Computer Scientist" and "The Self-Taught Programmer," before jumping back in with a role at Vonage, around the same time that his wife started gaining some serious TikTok cred. Cory left Vonage in April 2022 and accepted a position at CompTIA , where he's had some success climbing the corporate ladder in a little over a year's time. The organization offers various training and certification courses in IT.
Bobbi doesn't share much about her husband, though he has made a handful of appearances on her Instagram feed and even on her TikTok. However, during her interview with Cosmopolitan, Bobbi declined to answer questions about him. "I prefer to keep my relationship private," she said. In May 2023, she took to Instagram  to share a couple of photos of her and her hubby. In the caption, she referred to Cory as the "love of my life."
Bobbi Althoff has two daughters
Aside from trying to make her podcast guests uncomfortable in the most amusing ways, Bobbi Althoff is pretty low-key, and she leads a pretty normal life when she's not creating content. She and her husband are raising two daughters, though neither of them shares much about them online. Known to the public as "H" and "R," as Bobbi refers to them on Instagram, the youngest of her two littles was born in June 2022. "Thank you so much everyone! Baby girl 'H' is doing amazing. Soaking in all of the newborn cuddles right now," she wrote in a comment on TikTok after giving birth.
Bobbi also refers to her kids as "Concrete" and "Richard" on social media as a way to protect them. Since becoming famous, the comedian made the decision to keep the lives of her babies private, despite making TikTok videos about them. In her interview with Cosmopolitan, Bobbi explained what made her remove any and all details about her oldest daughter from social media. "I was getting really overwhelmed â people can just be so mean on the internet â and one night, I was like, 'I'm done.' This is my daughter. It's my job as her mom to protect her, and I no longer felt like it was the right decision. So one night, I scrubbed everything,"Â she said.
Bobbi Althoff is not a nepo baby despite rumors to the contrary
While there have been plenty of rumors about Bobbi Althoff being a nepo baby, she will be the first to tell you that she's far from it. "I could not be further from someone with connections and with money. People are like, 'Her dad had connections with Snoop Dogg.' My dad was a handyman,"Â she told Cosmopolitan, revealing that her dad once did contract work at Snoop's house. She also told the outlet that she grew up poor. "I was so embarrassed of how broke my family was growing up. In high school, everyone had nice cars, and my family's cars were always getting repossessed. I rarely got to get a yearbook because that $50 was too expensive for us,"Â she explained.
As far as the rumors that she's an industry plant? Well, that's not quite right, either. On July 28, Bobbi had some fun with rumors, sharing a TikTok of herself dancing to "Barbie World" by Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice; "Celebrating because the industry planted me," she captioned the video. Althoff may be on the right path to setting herself up for financial success, but she says that the money hasn't started pouring in just yet. In an interview on the "BFFs"  podcast, she admitted that she's "in debt" and she is still paying for her work-related expenses.Â
Bobbi Althoff struggles with depression
Bobbi Althoff may seem like she has her life together, but it's not always an easy go. In her interview with Cosmopolitan, Althoff opened up about her struggle with depression, which started when she was young. "I had such a bad childhood, I desperately wanted to grow up. I thought it might never happen. I was suicidal in high school, and I tried to kill myself. I was actually really angry that I survived," she told the outlet, adding that these days, it's her kids that really keep her going.
Althoff has also struggled with postpartum depression and shared about it online. "I try to share things that I feel aren't talked about enough," she told the outlet of why she has posted about the taboo topic. Indeed, Althoff has shared a few videos of her post-baby body on TikTok, something that is not only relatable but that Althoff says she's insecure about. In December 2022, she uploaded a TikTok video about her uneven breasts and captioned it with some of the mean things that people say to her about her body. Two months prior, she shared another TikTok video about the things that she'd been feeling after giving birth to her second daughter.Â

There are rumors that Bobbi Althoff is feuding with Drake
Believe it or not, Bobbi Althoff has taken it upon herself to land some of the biggest interviews of her career to date. And, if you're wondering how she did it, well, it's quite simple: She slid into their DMs. "[I] DMed Drake and asked if he wanted to be on my podcast, and he said yes," she told Cosmopolitan. She also DM'd Lil Yachty to get him on "The Really Good Podcast," too.Â
Althoff's interview with Drake went super viral, garnering some 10 million views on YouTube, but many fans were quick to notice that the podcast episode has been removed from all major platforms. Moreover, some fans pointed out that Althoff and Drake are no longer following one another on social media, which can only mean one thing: a feud. Interestingly, this all transpired after Althoff attended Drake's "It's All a Blur" tour at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. "Really in my element here @ this guys [sic] concert," she captioned a TikTok video of herself looking completely unimpressed and unbothered in a crowded concert audience as Drake could be heard rapping in the background.Â
Though it's unclear exactly what's going on, it's possible that Althoff is just trying to get people talking ahead of a "big announcement" that she teased on her Instagram Stories on August 16. "Big announcement coming next Monday," she wrote, per The U.S. Sun . "Set a reminder because you guys will not want to miss this. Nine in the morning, someone's time zone," she added.
Bobbi Althoff asked Michael Bublé to autograph her toe
We may never know if Bobbi Althoff is actually a fan of Drake (or anyone else she features on her podcast, for that matter), but it seems like we've figured out one person that she generally does like, and that's singer Michael BublĂ©. "This weekend I flew to Resort World Las Vegas to meet the love of my life," Bobbi captioned a TikTok video on May 9, 2022. In said video, a pregnant Althoff approaches the "Feeling Good" singer â while wearing a shirt with his name on it, no less â and asks him for his autograph. However, she didn't want him to sign her shirt or a tour book â or even her baby bump. Instead, she asked BublĂ© to sign her toe.
"I am your biggest fan," she told BublĂ© in a subsequent video uploaded to TikTok , fumbling her words a bit. He didn't seem to miss a beat, grabbing a Sharpie and signing his name on her foot. When he was done, she asked if she could keep the pen. "@michaelbuble so happy I paid $1,000,000 for this meet and greet. Thanks for letting me steal your pen," she wrote in the caption. No word on whether or not Althoff will try to get BublĂ© on an upcoming podcast episode, but we think it'd be hilarious.Â

Lil Yachty Says He Told Drake 'I Donât Feel Like You Won or Lost' in Kendrick Lamar Beef
The 6 God's friend and frequent collaborator spoke at length about the historic beef, notably pointing out that Drake was âdeemed a loserâ before the battle started.
Lil Yachty has offered a decidedly measured take on Drake and Kendrick Lamar 's undeniably historic back-and-forth .
In a recently surfaced podcast clip seemingly taken from a not-yet-released episode of A Safe Place , Yachty, whose extensive collaborative history with the 6 God is well-documented, pointed out that Kendrick "clearly had a lot more animosity" throughout the beef.
"Because Drake dropped great records," Yachty said. "Also, letâs be fair, Drake was deemed a loser in this battle before it started. Because people donât like him and havenât and heâs won for a very long time and heâs sat at the top of the throne. Honestly and respectfully, I think he still sits at the top of the throne. I think that even if opinionated masses would say that Kendrick won, I donât think that people are gonna stop listening to Drake."
While Yachty further noted that there are indeed âno rulesâ in a rap battle of this magnitude, he feels that this particular beef felt like the âmost officiated beefâ heâs seen. Still, he doesnât believe his friend and frequent collaborator lost.
"I said to Drake, I told him, I donât feel like you won or lost," he explained. "Rappers have lost, and then lost everything. ⊠I donât think that this has happened to Drake. I think that Drake will still be in everyoneâs Spotify Wrapped at the end of the year, at the top. I think he can still drop hits and it will still control the summer. I think that Kendrick made very smart moves and I donât think Drake would disagree."

In another clip from the same unreleased (as of this writing, at least) discussion, Yachty gave his assessment of how both Drake and Kendrick were forced to take different angles when it came to their respective dissesâ lyrical content. Both artists, he said, are "at the top of their game" and have been for some time. As for the specifics leveled back and forth, Yachty was also quick to point out that thereâs "no proof" of either sideâs claims.
"They didnât have much on each either," he said. "So they found, one was pedophilia and then one was an abuser, a woman abuser. And they just both kind of poked at 'em. Extreme accusations, absolutely, which thereâs no proof to either one. But itâs beef, right?"
Overall, Yachty added, this as "a really good battle," and represents something that will "never, ever, ever" be seen again. From Yachtyâs perspective, however, the beef is over, with Kendrickâs "Not Like Us" ( currently the No. 1 song in the country ) standing as the "pivotal moment" from the back-and-forth.
"That song is the one thatâll live and I hope that one day in the near future these two guys can come laugh about it," he said. "When theyâre old and gray and extremely dirt-rich, both billionaires, they can come and laugh about it and move forward."
Lil Yachty speaks on the allegations during the Drake vs Kendrick, artists tagging in, and Not Like Us ending it "ped*philia... a woman abuser... theres no proof to either one... Yachty had time to react to a disgruntled fan who was calling him out for being "absolutely shameless" about loyalty.

In tweets responding to the person, Yachty told them to stop trying to spin the narrative.
"u making shit what itâs not, everybody and they mama kno what side Iâm on. U fans be over doin shit. I didnât go into any specifics of the songs. Stop tryna spin narrative."
He continued, "Suck a dick nerd, it wasnât my beef to speak in..fuck u want me to do? Jump on a feature? I said I felt like nobody won. The whole thing was stupid to begin with. When I support him Iâm dick riding, when I dont say shit I switched up. This internet shit is so lame . Canât win."
Last weekend, Drake, whose " The Heart Part 6 " stands as the final entry in the Kendrick saga, teased that he was moving into a new frame of mind. Specifically, he told fans they could expect some presumably imminent " summer vibes ."

"No one writes my lyrics EVER" - Kid Cudi dispels rumor Lil Yachty shared songwriting credit for his song Superboy
G rammy Award-winning artist Kid Cudi has come forward to address false claims regarding the songwriting credits for his hit track Superboy .
On May 7, 2024, Cudi replied to a fan on X and unequivocally asserted that he was the sole creative force behind the lyrics of Superboy . However, rumors had suggested that fellow rapper Lil Yachty was involved in the writing process and deserved songwriting credit for the popular song. Kid Cudi is adamant that this is not the case -
"No one writes my lyrics EVER. Every song U have ever heard from me, I wrote," he replied on X.
During discussions on X, a few observers speculated that Kid Cudi's recent statement is a subtle reference to Drake, who has faced ghostwriting allegations. Cudi denied the reference.
Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, known as Kid Cudi, is an American rapper. He is famous for his autobiographical lyrics, describing childhood experiences, loneliness, heartbreak, and spirituality. His major hits include Just What I Am , Cudi Zone , Day N Nite , and Soundtrack 2 My Life .
Kid Cudi dismisses allegations of songwriting collaboration with Lil Yachty
In a candid discussion on X, Cudi's fan tweeted that if Cudi and Jaden's rumored upcoming new album had a Lil Yachty collab, it would be a banger, as he had produced two of Cudi's songs, including Superboy . In response, a fan wrote that he saw Yachty under the writer's credit for Superboy .
Kid Cudi came in to dispel any misinformation surrounding the origins of Superboy and reaffirm his commitment to authenticity in his artistry. Referring to the credits, Cudi suggested the names fans see on the list can be "confusing" and names are of "usually producers" -
"The credits on songs can be confusing when u see all those names, and its usually producers of the song or sample."
On the same day, Cudi tweeted a separate post suggesting he is the sole writer of all 12 albums. He expressed the feeling as "powerful" -
"Its a really powerful feeling knowing I wrote the lyrics on all 12 of my albums."
Under the tweet, a fan humorously suggested that the Erase Me artist is referring to Drake . Kid Cudi then clarified he did not want to diss anyone, but it is a straightforward declaration of factual accuracy following confusion that Lil Yachty wrote his lyrics -
"Man me speakin my truth is not me dissing anyone. Its my truth. Its a fact. This came up cuz someone was talkin like yachty wrote my verse on Superboy. Just wanted to address it and make it 100% clear," Cudi replied.
This instance is not the first time Kid Cudi had to address his association with Drake. In 2022, during an interview with Esquire, Cudi, discussing his relationship with Ye, suggested that he is "not Drake", who can be friends again with someone he had beefed with. Later, he took X to clarify his statement, implying that Drake can be "lil nicer" and that he was not throwing at him -
"Just to be clear, I wasnt tryna throw a shot at Drake. I got love 4 him. My point I was tryna make is that im not so forgiving. Meaning he might be a lil nicer than me in that situation w dude. Thats all. Maybe that came off wrong thru my words. So yea, all good w Drake."
In the tweet earlier this week, the fan referenced Drake in the discussion because many rappers, including Kendrick Lamar , have accused Drake of ghostwriting and using AI in his lyrics. In 2015, Meek Mill first alleged that Drake used a ghostwriter to pen his verse in their collaboration R.I.C.O .
Also, most recently, on April 15, 2024, Rick Ross accused Lil Yachty of writing for Drake . The allegations came after when an early version of Drake's song Her Loss, alternatively titled Jumbotron Shit Poppin , recorded by Lil Yachty, surfaced online without authorization. Ross took to his Instagram and called Yachty, Drake's "pen" -
"Yacht, Put ya phone on silent lil bro. #BBLDRIZZY CALLING AGAIN. YACHT AKA THE PEN."
Disputes often arise in the hip-hop industry, yet Kid Cudi has stated that he does not disparage anyone in his tweets.
After falling at the Coachella festival and breaking his foot, Kid Cudi has postponed his INSANO World Tour until further notice.
DJ Akademiks Isn't Happy With Lil Yachty's Stance On Drake & Kendrick Lamar, Says Drake Needs A "Delusional" Friend
DJ Akademiks thinks Drake needs more delusionally loyal friends in his corner.
DJ Akademiks doesn't think Lil Yachty is the type of friend Drake needs right now and instead wishes the Toronto rapper had a "delusional" friend who would back him up no matter what the context. He made the comments in response to Yachty discussing the feud on his A Safe Space podcast and admitting he has respect for both Drake and Kendrick Lamar .
"Yachty, and I f*ck with you, but I gotta agree with this fan," he began, referencing a user critiquing Yachty for not sticking up more for Drake. "If I'm Drake, I need a delusional friend with me. I need the friend that I'm mad drunk in the club with and I'm stumbling all over the place and I stepped on somebody's foot by mistake but then that person shoves me and rather than tryna figure it out like, 'Oh, actually you stepped on his foot first,' my delusional friend just comes over my shoulder with a punch. 'Why the f*ck you touching Ak?!' We can talk about the other sh*t later my n***a. I need my delusional friends right now. That's what we need. I'ma keep it a bean, Drake needs one of those." From there, Akademiks argued Drake needs to start making some new friends.

Lamar actually name-drops Yachty on his diss track, "Euphoria," accusing him of ghostwriting for Drake. He admitted on his podcast that he wasn't happy with the mention. âSo many people kept calling and texting me with excitement of my name being used and for me it kinda just felt like⊠I really didnât want anything to do with it,â Yachty confessed. âI got a ton of respect for both of these guys . Honestly, it was a cool thing to watch. I learned so much. It was an honor and blessing to be able to experience it firsthand.â
