The most epic super-yachts at the F1 Monaco Grand Prix

Yachts routinely steal the show during the F1 grand prix weekend.

The yachts docking in the harbour for the F1 Monaco Grand Prix have turned heads - with a couple particularly impressing.

A yacht named Seven Sins caused a commotion because there is a Bugatti Chiron onboard.

The Seven Sins can be chartered for a week at a much more reasonable $300,000 but that doesn’t come with the Bugatti!

The car itself is worth around £2.5m and, now, there is one in full view in Monaco harbour during the F1.

A yacht named Evrima, owned by Ritz-Carlton, is being used by Lewis Hamilton , George Russell and Toto Wolff as part of their partnership with Mercedes .

Evrima is more of a floating luxury hotel than a boat.

Guests have voyaged around France before docking in Monaco for the coolest weekend of the year.

Rooms cost $10,000 to $100,000 for holidaymakers at this time of year.

If you want to charter Evrima, it will set you back $2.2m for a week.

It boasts 149 rooms, a private terrace for each suite, an infinity pool and even an onboard therapist.

It has direct access to the seawater, and watersports, from its deck.

The biggest yacht at the Monaco Grand Prix (so far) is actually owned by the Ritz-Carlton. • 149 Cabins • Pools, Spa & Gym • Rooms cost $10,000 to $100,000+ It's essentially a luxury cruise — you spend a few days in France and then dock in Monaco for the race. A superyacht named Faith has also docked in Monaco for the grand prix and it is known to some of F1's richest people.

The $200m yacht was previously owned by Lawrence Stroll, the current Aston Martin owner.

Stroll sold it to the billionaire father of former F1 driver Nicholas Latifi.

Faith has a helipad onboard plus a gym and a theatre.

And it's yours to rent for one week for a mere $1.5m...

A yacht named Lionheart is also turning heads in Monaco this year.

It was formerly owned by businessman Philip Green, and is valued at $150m.

The largest yacht currently in Monaco's Port Hercule is Lionheart, a superyacht built for businessman Philip Green by Benetti SpA, which cost $150 million. Most famously, when Kimi Raikkonen was forced to retire early from the 2006 Monaco Grand Prix, rather than go back to his team garage he instead walked straight to the harbour to find his yacht.

Moments later, he was spotted lounging in the sun onboard his private yacht with his friends - with the F1 race going on without him.

The Most Spectacular Yachts Spotted in Monaco for the Grand Prix

By Frances Flannagan

Ahead of the start of the most prestigious motorsports event of the year, a spectacle of superyachts have flocked to Monaco and have been spotted in and around Port Hercules. Fans of Formula One and UHNWI alike can indulge in the most exceptional displays of innovation and luxury; from show-stopping cars to breathtaking superyachts.

This year’s Monaco Grand Prix is being held from the 24th to the 26th of May at the Circuit de Monaco in Monte Carlo. It’s an event which draws in spectators from all across the globe: a thrilling sporting occasion which is heavily associated with luxury. It is only fitting that such an event attracts an array of spectacular superyachts, as Owners and charterers wish to immerse themselves in this sensational event that takes place in one of the world’s top yachting hotspots.

Over 60 pleasure vessels are currently docked in Monaco ahead of the start of the Grand Prix, of which we take a look at five of the most spectacular and notable names.

FOUNTAINHEAD - 87.78m

FOUNTAINHEAD was delivered in 2011 by Feadship : an 87.78m yacht perfect for family use. She was created by De Voogt Naval Architects and Sinot Yacht Design, with Axel Vervoordt providing a beautiful blend of art, antiques and aesthetics.

She exudes sophistication in terms of her layout, finishes and technologies, boasting an array of impressive leisure facilities including a gym, health club and contra-flow pool. FOUNTAINHEAD features six guest suites and a large Owner’s stateroom, alongside a recreation room and a library on the main deck that can both be converted into guest cabins. She also includes an array of water toys and two tenders to allow those onboard to make the most of their time on the water.

CORAL OCEAN - 72.55m

Delivered in 1994 by Lürssen , CORAL OCEAN is a 72.55m yacht that includes every single amenity one would expect from a luxury vessel. She features exteriors by Bannenberg & Rowell Design and interiors from IBL Design.

CORAL OCEAN has seven spacious guest cabins, a VIP suite and a main salon that has an opening shell door that creates a balcony over the sea. She can accommodate up to 12 guests and an impressive crew of 22, boasting a beach club, pool, sauna, massage room, cinema and gym.

NENINKA - 67m

NENINKA was delivered by Amels in 2019 as one of its Limited Editions, with exteriors penned by Tim Heywood and custom interiors from Winch Design . She was based upon previous Amels 212 deliveries from the Limited Editions range, encapsulating modern classical lines whilst also adding a new stretched evolution to the elegance set by her predecessors.

She can accommodate up to 14 guests across seven suites as well as 16 crew members, a standout feature of her design being a 65 sqm swim platform and beach club.

HAMPSHIRE - 66.25m

Launched in 2016 as VANISH, HAMPSHIRE is a 66.25m yacht built by Feadship. Her exteriors and interiors are penned by Harrison Edisgaard, boasting a modern and powerful exterior profile that is softened by harmonious lines.

She features a range of standout elements throughout her design, including a free-standing staircase flanked by a glass wall over three decks, an extendable balcony from the Owner’s stateroom and a full-height atrium, these beautiful and intricate touches enhancing the sense of luxury onboard.

AHS was built in 2005 by Oceanco , undergoing a major refit in 2019. She has a LOA of 66m, and features a fresh and contemporary design penned by Alberto Pinto.

She can accommodate up to 16 guests across six cabins, with a crew of 19 ensuring the most premium service on board. All spaces have been optimised for the guests’ use, as AHS boasts spacious cabins, expansive decks and an array of dining areas, both indoors and al fresco.

Alongside these five stunning superyachts, other iconic vessels currently docked in Monaco include 90m LIONHEART , 60m KATINA , 55.2m LADY A and 53.5m HURRICANE RUN .

With only one day to go until this thrilling event, we at Superyachts.com cannot wait to see what other superyachts are spotted in Monaco, as well as to follow along with the action of the Grand Prix.

The largest yacht in Monaco's harbour

biggest yachts monaco

MONACO -- If the wide shots of the Monaco Grand Prix look a little less spectacular this year, it's probably because the circuit's famous harbour is operating at little over half capacity.

Port Hercule, which is skirted by Monaco's famous race track on two sides, usually acts as a magnet for the Mediterranean's superyachts at this time of year, turning 160,000 square metres of liquid real estate into the ultimate playground for the rich and famous.

On a race weekend, a berth in Port Hercule can cost anywhere between €8,000 and €128,000 depending on location and size of boat, with the most expensive positions offering a view of the track from the Nouvelle Chicane to the Swimming Pool complex.

The very biggest boats have no choice but to moor on "The T" behind the Swimming Pool grandstand, with their bows pointing out to sea.

But the COVID-19 pandemic has curbed the party in 2021, with loud music banned after 10 p.m. and no more than 12 guests on a yacht at any time.

The largest yacht in the harbour this year is "Faith", a 316-foot leviathan worth an estimated $200,000,000.

In 2019 it was anchored further down the coastline, acting as the base for Aston Martin team owner Lawrence Stroll and his racing driver son, Lance.

Recent media reports suggest Faith has been sold to Michael Latifi, the billionaire chairman and CEO of Sofina Foods and father of Williams racing driver Nicholas.

Details of Faith can be found online , including its seasonal charter rates, which start at an eye-watering €1,200,000 per week and rise to €1,500,000.

That money not only buys you a lot of yacht for seven days, but also a list of amenities that would make several of Monaco's five-star hotels look rather ill-equipped.

The five-storey floating palace houses a cinema, spa, swimming pool, massage room, steam room, hammam, gym and, rumour has it, a snow room.

It has seven bedrooms that can sleep up to 12 guests, a VIP stateroom to entertain friends and includes an elevator to conveniently link its decks.

Faith also comes laden with toys, including two jet skis, an electric foiling surfboard, three sea bobs and two kayaks.

A helipad and helicopter hangar are built into the floating superstructure, although it seems as though you have to provide your own helicopter.

One charter website carrying details of Faith, claims its "impressive leisure and entertainment facilities make her the ideal charter yacht for socialising and entertaining with family and friends".

8 of the biggest yachts at the 2018 Monaco Yacht Show

  • Length: 90m
  • Shipyard: Oceanco
  • Exterior/interior design: De Basto Designs / Nuvolari Lenard

Sometimes in yacht design, initial concepts can appear futuristic, as Luiz de Basto says his probably did for this 90m Oceanco . But then technology and engineering realities dial down the extremes. In this case, though, the dream has become an extraordinary reality. DAR features the latest advances in glass technology – the superstructure is completely finished in reflective glass, which is offset with white balconies for a distinctive contrast, “providing a constant exchange in shape and lines between the two elements”, says De Basto. Just as exciting is the nature-themed interior by Nuvolari Lenard.

  • Length: 72m
  • Shipyard: Tankoa
  • Exterior/interior design:  Francesco Paszkowski Design / Francesco Paszkowski, Margherita Casprini

Freshly launched this month, Tankoa's Solo has certainly made a splash. You name it, this yacht’s got it: massage room, hair dressing area, sauna, gym, 6m pool – she even has a baby grand piano and fireplace. From the spacious beach club to the main-deck guest accommodation and the private owner’s deck with direct helipad access, the optimised-for-charter yacht is packed with fun features.

  • Length: 77m
  • Shipyard: Turquoise Yachts
  • Exterior/interior design: H2 Yacht Design

The Turquoise flagship GO has room for more, accommodating 18 guests, including on the owner’s deck, which features a forward-facing cabin overlooking the sea and a private spa pool on deck. Getting around the massive yacht is easy, with a full-size lift running from the central tender garage all the way to the sundeck, which boasts a 5m pool with waterfall. The beach club is also impressive, opening to the sea on two sides.

  • Length: 63.7m
  • Shipyard: Codecasa
  • Exterior/interior design: Vincenzo Ruggiero

Built by Codecasa to a design by  Vincenzo Ruggiero  and delivered in 1990, Sokar is still regarded as one of the most outstanding superyachts of her era. • Length: 95.2m
  • Shipyard: Lurssen
  • Exterior/ interior design:   Espen Øino / Reymond Langton Design

Kismet’s recent jaunt around the tabloid pages as the charter yacht of choice for A-listers Beyonce and Jay-Z has made this legendary yacht even more recognisable. But she doesn’t come cheap. One week aboard this yacht, which counts a multi-level swimming pool, basketball court and helipad among its star features, will set you back £1.1 million.  Owned by US billionaire and Fulham football club owner Shadid Khan, the Lurssen yacht took a win in the 2015 World Superyacht Awards and features dramatic interior design by Reymond Langton who created a unique colour scheme for each guest suite.

  • Length: 74.5m
  • Shipyard: Abeking & Rasmussen
  • Exterior/interior design: Harrison Eidsgaard

Returning to the German shipyard for their second yacht,  Elandess ’s owners asked designer Peder Eidsgaard for a modern and spacious yacht with large lounging areas suitable for both family time and entertaining. This translated into an open-plan interior with flexible living spaces between floor-to-ceiling windows, as well as innovative communal spaces – from the Nemo lounge below the waterline to the vast sundeck up top with huge 8m pool.

Excellence V

  • Length: 61m
  • Shipyard: Abeking and Rasmussen

  • Length: 67m
  • Shipyard: Feadship

This Flash Prize Just Made the SCCA Foundation’s Monaco Grand Prix Megayacht Sweepstakes Even Sweeter

One of SCCA Foundation’s biggest sweepstakes is taking place right now. The Monaco Grand Prix Elite Megayacht 2025 Sweepstakes, which kicked off this summer and runs through Nov. 30, 2024, is for a bucket-list experience every motorsport fan would drool over, with the grand prize winner and a guest heading to the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix F1 race. But thanks to this limited-time-offer flash prize, things just got sweeter.

Before we get to the flash prize, let’s run through the basics.

The Monaco Grand Prix Elite Megayacht 2025 Sweepstakes package includes a three night/four day stay at a boutique luxury hotel in Nice Old Town during the May 2025 Monaco Grand Prix, plus superyacht hospitality access for two guests on all three days of the Grand Prix (practice, qualifying, and race days). Time on the yacht includes luxury breakfast, buffet lunch, a champagne reception, plus beer, wine, spirits, champagne, and soft drinks all day via waitress service. There’s also guest DJs, live music performances, on board TV screens, an F1 celebrity guest speaker, an F1 wristband for Monaco access, and $2,000 to apply toward additional travel expenses, such as airfare.

Note that the sweepstakes does not include grandstand tickets. Instead, you’ll be watching the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix in luxury from the deck of the superyacht Titania. Life can be rough.

Here’s the Flash Prize

SCCA Foundation sweepstakes often include limited-time flash prizes, and this one is a 3D model of the F1 Circuit de Monaco.

Measuring approximately 7” x 7” x 1.4” tall, this 3D model artwork is an accurate, to-scale art piece printed using matte white biodegradable PLA. The famous Monaco harbor is a brilliant blue gloss acrylic providing an eye-catching contrast.

Each piece of art in the print-scape collection comes with a midnight black frame crafted from acrylic for the optimum blend of lightness and durability, providing a modern look and pristine shine. Multiple hanging points on the reverse allow for a seamless wall display, while a folding strut offers that same flexibility for standing on a table, shelf, or mantlepiece. It also comes equipped with a removable spacer that offers the choice of two display depth positions.

This print-scape is a must-have piece for any Formula 1 fan.

This flash prize is available for those who purchase sweepstakes tickets from now until Labor Day

And bonus to this bonus: By using the link below, you’ll get into the flash prize drawing AND get 35% bonus sweepstakes entries.
