Lewis Hamilton’s yacht costed a whopping 4 million dollars

The British driver owns a yacht called the Sunseeker 90 which is worth about 4 million dollars or 3.1 million euros. The latest model of this yacht goes for around 6 million dollars but can also reach 9 million of fully upgraded. Along with some cozy interior designing, the yacht itself is 27.10 meters long. It has a total of 4 cabins that can house 8 guests in total.

Apart from that, there is also room to sleep for the crew members present on the yacht. The sea vehicle can reach speeds of up to 30 knots while maintaining a cruising speed of 22 knots. The yacht is blessed with a luxury interior equipped with ‘American walnut carpentry’. It includes features such as air conditioning, a chef’s sized kitchen and a huge entertainment system.

The yacht also houses an area fit for barbecues and has features that make water sports accessible for the guests. With the plethora of features that the yacht has to offer, it’s an ideal choice for anyone seeking a luxurious experience. The Sunseeker 90 is kept in Monaco, a destination that is known for its racing prestige.

Lewis Hamilton has had an incredible season provided the machinery that he had to deal with. With the 2023 season incoming, it will be interesting to see how Mercedes and Lewis fight back to grab the 8th title. Lewis Hamilton Sets The Pace As Charter Yachts Arrive In Monaco

As the estimable British driver headed the timesheet for the practice laps around the iconic track, the surrounding waters of Monaco came alive with charter yachts migrating from the hotspots of Cannes .

Leaving behind the Old Port of Cannes for berths at the famous Port Hercule, charterers were today treated to a breathtaking performance from one of F1’s most interesting characters.

As we pointed out in an earlier story, the T-Dock is beginning to fill up as the superyachts migrate from the historic ports of Cannes .

With the sun breaking through the clouds around the French Riviera , visitors to the practice session this afternoon returned to sunbathing and sipping cocktails whilst watching the action unfold in front of them.

Unquestionably one of the best opportunities for an event charter, the Monaco Grand Prix has long been associated with yachting in the Mediterranean .

As the drivers prepare for the pivotal race this Sunday, we take a look at some of the charter yachts attending this year’s edition.

But even with the one-race-at-a-time mentality cultivated by sports psychologists, he must surely be looking ahead. He’s still young. And records are made to be broken, right? “It doesn’t matter,” he insists, sounding phlegmatic rather than petulant. “I’ve never been interested in breaking records, because these things only happen if you are lucky enough to be in a good car for a long time. Not everyone has that luxury. Luckily, I’ve been in a good car for two years, to win championships, but it might stop next year. You don’t know. So I’m just enjoying the moment. If, after this year, it’s not happening again, that’s what it is.”

With Monaco done, the Formula 1 circus moves on. It’s a 23-race season—reduced to 22 after Emilia Romagna was cancelled due to flooding—and there are seven street circuits on the calendar, which some suggest is too many. Modern Formula 1 cars are too big to pass on narrow circuits, and are designed for cornering at high speeds.

“I understand a few of them,” Verstappen says of the street circuits. “But it doesn’t need to be more than that, because an F1 car really comes alive for me, personally, at normal tracks and in the fast corners. The cars we’re driving nowadays are not made to drive around here, but because it’s Monaco, with the history, we drive here and people love it.”

The penultimate race of the season will be on the streets of Las Vegas in November, the first time Formula 1 has landed in Nevada since the Caesars Palace Grand Prix of 1982. Is Verstappen looking forward to racing along the famous strip? “Yes and no,” he says. “I know that it’s going to be really crazy and hectic, probably even more than here. But we know that it’s all about the spectacle there; it’s not so much about the quality of the race.”

Where would he rather race? “For me, it’s mainly all the real tracks: Spa, Suzuka, Austin. Real cool tracks to drive. To go out there in qualifying, push the car to the limit in the high-speed corners, it’s the best feeling.” The Dutchman adds that he’d like to see South Africa return to the season’s calendar in order for Formula 1 “to be on every continent”. (Well, save for Antarctica.)

Lewis Hamilton’s Dating History: Every Star the F1 Driver Has Been Linked To

Lewis Hamilton prefers to keep his dating life on the down low.

Through the years, the decorated Formula 1 driver has been linked to numerous women, but he often opts not to confirm any of his relationships. Despite intense speculation surrounding his dating life, Hamilton has only been open about a few of his partners — including his seven-year romance with Nicole Scherzinger .

But after their split in 2015, Hamilton says he “learned the hard way” about keeping his personal life under wraps. Since then, he’s tried to keep his dating life a secret, although rumors have surfaced about potential romances with stars like Rihanna , Rita Ora and Sofia Richie .

Despite the speculation, Hamilton admitted in 2022 that he hadn’t recently been in any long-term relationships. Instead, he’d spent the past few years primarily focused on his career.

“I’m really just super focused on work,” he told Vanity Fair at the time. “I’ve realized that I can’t do two things or three things at once, I’ve got to focus on one. I really wanted to go through a growth process of getting myself to a point where I’m happy on my own, comfortable in my space. So that if I ever do meet someone, it’s an addition, rather than ‘I need you in my life.’ ”

Here’s a look back at Lewis Hamilton’s dating history, from his long-term relationships to his rumored flings — including everything he's said about his romantic life.

When Hamilton was just a teenager, he met television personality Danielle Lloyd. The pair crossed paths at a nightclub in London, and after exchanging numbers, they stayed in touch. Reflecting on their romance, Lloyd says the pair dated for six months.

“We were both out with friends, but there was a bit of a spark and we swapped numbers. After that I went back to Liverpool and he lived in London but we stayed in touch,” Lloyd told the Daily Mail in 2007.

While she says that Hamilton was a “lovely person,” their age and the distance between them led to the end of their relationship. The pair remained friendly, and Hamilton was even in attendance when Lloyd was crowned Miss England in 2004.

After Hamilton split from Lloyd, he met Jodia Ma through a mutual friend at a party in London. The pair had both been students at Cambridge Arts and Sciences College and reportedly became fast friends.

Hamilton and Ma dated for about four years and attended several events together during their relationship, including the AutoSport Magazine awards in London in December 2006.

In late 2007, Hamilton met former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger when they were both attending an MTV awards ceremony. The couple soon began dating, with Scherzinger explaining that they were incredibly close despite a seven year age difference.

“We are very similar and can relate to one another a lot. We are both driven people who are serious about our work, so we are very supportive of the time we do have together. Finding time for each other can get complicated, but we find a way to work it out. And it just makes things more interesting when we do get together,” Scherzinger shared with the Daily Mail in 2009, noting that the pair were “spiritually aligned” and had the same sense of humor.

While Scherzinger often attended races and the couple were spotted at events together, they kept the details of their relationship private. Scherzinger explained that they typically tried to “steer clear of places” where they might be seen as the paparazzi made their limited time together “stressful.”

The couple went on to date on and off over the course of seven years. On numerous occasions, the pair were reported to be engaged — and Scherzinger’s father Alfonso even seemingly confirmed the news in 2011. But shortly after the rumors surfaced, Scherzinger clarified things, posting on X (formerly Twitter) that she and Hamilton were not engaged.

“Lewis and I woke up this morning and read we were engaged! Sorry to disappoint u all but its not true:),” Scherzinger wrote, later adding, “Just to reaffirm, Alfonso was misquoted… Lewis and I are not engaged. But thanks for the love and support!”

While Hamilton told E! that he was “feeling pressure” from family members to get engaged in 2014, it wasn’t in the cards for the couple. In 2015, Hamilton and Scherzinger called it quits for the final time after seven years together. At the time, Scherzinger said she was “devastated” about the split.

“I’m devastated that it didn’t work out. It was the hardest decision we had to make, but we made it together,” she said in a statement. “I love Lewis and I know he loves me. We wish nothing but happiness and the very best for one another. I’m trying to stay strong in my faith right now.”

Since then, the exes have kept their distance from one another and in 2016, Scherzinger said they were no longer in contact.

“I don’t see anything negative; I think it’s quite natural when people separate and go their own ways. You just have to be adult about it and just always wish the other person happiness, success and love — like, sincerely — and I do. We don’t, like, talk,” she said on The Jonathan Ross Show , per E! . “I only wish him happiness and success.”

Shortly after Hamilton’s split from Scherzinger, he was linked to Gigi Hadid . The pair were spotted spending time together on several occasions, beginning with an amfAR gala in May 2015. Later that month, Hadid and a group of friends , including Kendall Jenner , attended the Formula 1 World Championship in France. The following day, the group was spotted on a yacht together, per photos obtained by the Daily Mail .

Then in August, the pair were photographed together at a VMA event, per Daily Mail , — but Hadid was dating Joe Jonas at the time.

While the duo weren’t spotted together for quite some time, they were linked again in 2018 when Hamilton was announced as the new global brand ambassador for Tommy Hilfiger Men’s portfolio, per Grazia Magazine . The pair appeared in a campaign together and Hamilton even gave Hadid a driving lesson .

Although the duo never addressed their rumored relationship, they’ve remained friends through the years and have continued to pose together at various events.

Kendall Jenner

Around the same time that Hamilton was rumored to be dating Hadid, he was also linked to her BFF Kendall Jenner. Jenner and Hadid were both at the Formula 1 World Championship in May 2015 and Jenner was even later spotted wearing Hamilton’s gold chain necklace. Jenner was also part of a group that joined Hamilton on a yacht the following day and in June, she joined Hamilton and Hadid for an evening out at Libertine nightclub in London, per the Daily Mail .

Then, in September, Hamilton and Jenner were seen hanging out in New York City — but Hamilton shot down dating rumors shortly after.

“Me and Kendall have been friends for a while, so we're just friends,” Hamilton told E! News . “She's doing incredible, she's very focused, very level-headed, and she's just — for such a young woman, she's very grown up.”

Since then, the pair have remained friends through the years.

In August 2015, Hamilton was spotted spending time with Rihanna in Barbados . Both Hamilton and Rihanna were in attendance at the Kadooment Day parade and were later spotted aboard a yacht with friends off the coast of the island.

Just a few days later, the pair returned to the U.S. and were seen at a nightclub in New York City . When Hamilton was asked about Rihanna later that month, he said he and Rihanna were just friends.

“You know, I’ve known Ri for a long time,” he told E! News . “We’ve been friends for a while. We get to hang out every now and again but otherwise we’ve just been friends.”

Since then, Rihanna and Hamiton have remained friendly and Hamilton has been known to comment on her Instagram posts.

Lewis was first photographed with Rita Ora in May 2015 when they attended the same amfAR gala. The following month, they both happened to be guests on The Graham Norton Show . The pair remained friendly throughout the year and Hamilton even helped celebrate Ora’s 25th birthday that November.

In 2016, dating rumors began swirling around the pair, who were spotted out on several dinner dates together. In November, Ora showed her support for Hamilton at the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix.

The following month, Ora kept quiet when she was asked about the dating rumors but the following month, she shared a video of the pair performing a musical duet in a now-deleted Instagram post, according to the Daily Mail .

The rumored couple never confirmed their relationship but appear to have remained friends, posing for photos during London Fashion Week in late 2017.

Hamilton was also linked to model Barbara Palvin in 2016. The pair were first photographed together while attending a L’Oreal party during Paris Fashion Week in March and then were seen sitting side-by-side at an amfAR gala in May as part of the Cannes Film Festival.

Later that summer, Palvin attended the F1 Grand Prix in Hungary and over the next few months, they were spotted together on several occasions, including the Venice Film Festival and London Fashion Week.

The pair eventually went their separate ways.

In 2016, Hamilton was also rumored to be dating model Winnie Harlow . In July, she attended Hamilton’s Grand Prix victory party in London, an event where Ora was also in attendance, per the Daily Mail . Then, in September, Harlow and Hamilton both attended the GQ Men of the Year Awards and reports surfaced that the pair had been secretly dating for months.

Meanwhile, during an appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show in October, Hamilton shared that he wasn’t seeing anyone at the moment.

“No I’m not. I was in a long-term eight-year relationship, so I’m focused on my racing and trying to win the championship this year,” Hamilton shared. “I don’t have any plans [for romance].”

Despite the denial, the pair continued to spend time together and in early 2017, he even had a night out in London with both Harlow and Ora . In May, Hamilton was spotted spending time with Harlow at an amfAR gala in Cannes and just a few days later, Harlow showed her support for him at the ​​Monaco Grand Prix. They later were seen vacationing on a yacht off the coast of Monte Carlo. In July, they were spotted once again, this time enjoying each other’s company in Greece and were later seen getting cozy at a Grand Prix victory celebration.

While it’s unclear if the couple were ever official, they’ve continued to be friends through the years. In 2018, they posed together at the CFDA Fashion Awards and in 2019, Harlow cheered Hamilton on at a Formula 1 race.

In January 2017, Hamilton attended a Balmain fashion show as part of Paris Fashion Week, where he sat alongside Sofia Richie. Following the event, both Hamilton and Richie returned stateside, where they were spotted getting dinner together in Beverly Hills, per the Daily Mail .

Despite their 14-year age gap, the pair were often seen spending time together over the course of the next few months. That May, Hamilton and Richie looked close while getting lunch in West Hollywood.

Although they were sighted together, the pair never confirmed their relationship, and Richie began dating Scott Disick shortly after being spotted with Hamilton.

Following Hamilton’s rumored romances with multiple models, he was briefly linked to Nicki Minaj . The pair had previously spent time together while sitting side-by-side at an Alexander Wang fashion show in 2016 but weren't romantically linked until a few years later.

In September 2018, the pair arrived together for the TommyXLewis Launch Party in New York City. While they didn’t confirm their relationship at the time, Minaj had recently admitted there was a new man in her life.

“Well, there was a new boy but he and I kind of fell back a little bit. And then ....” she said with a laugh during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show . “And then there’s a newer ... yeah, fairly new. He’s been around for a couple wigs. But I don’t have a boy.”

Then just a few weeks after their red carpet appearance, Hamilton and Minaj shared photos riding an ATV in Dubai together .

In 2021, Hamilton was rumored to be dating model Camila Kendra , who was previously linked to Bachelor Nation’s Tyler Cameron . Although details of their relationship were kept low-key, the pair had reportedly known each other for years before things turned romantic. During their alleged relationship, Kendra reportedly posted photos from Hamilton’s Colorado home, per the Daily Mail .

In May 2023, Shakira and Hamilton were spotted spending time together. After Shakira attended the 2023 F1 Grand Prix, the pair reportedly met when they crossed paths at Cipriani restaurant. Soon after, Shakira was photographed hanging with Hamilton and a group of friends during a boat outing in Miami.

Then in June, Shakira was seen cheering on Hamilton during the F1 Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona, Spain. After the event, Shakira and Hamilton headed to dinner with some pals including Daniel Caesar, Fai Khadra and Mustafa — who shared a photo from the outing on his Instagram Story. At the time, sources told PEOPLE that the singer and Formula 1 driver were keeping things “fun and flirty.”

“They’re spending time together and in the ‘getting to know you’ stage,” a source who knew them both shared. “It’s fun and flirty.”

Lewis Hamilton and his friends paid $2.2 Million to charter the yacht

The Superyacht was originally designed for Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen who was looking for a vessel that could take him to most remote regions of the world.

Allen wanted a yacht that was not short on luxury but had a very reduced impact on the environment. Lurssen, a shipbuilding company manufactured the yacht and named it ‘Octopus.’

As per the latest reports, one week of the charter for the Octopus costs around $2.2 Million, excluding the fuel expenses and other supplies.

Toto Wolff waiting for Hamilton’s winter travels to end to discuss a new deal

With Hamilton’s current contract coming to an end in the 2023 season, there have been a lot of talks about his next deal with the team.

Hamilton had previously stated his willingness to stay with the team for five more years but no papers have been inked so far.

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has been cautious about releasing a deadline but providing a further update on the situation, Wolff has now said that both parties have a full year to go.

And it is just a matter of the Briton returning to Europe from his winter trips so that they can have a chat and finalise.

S hakira and Lewis Hamilton 's dinner after the Miami F1 Grand Prix is one of the hot topics this week. A video has been circulating on social media showing the Colombian singer at the Cipriani restaurant in the company of the seven-time Formula 1 world champion. In addition, during the race, she was also spotted chatting with Tom Cruise.

Last May 8, the artist wore a sensual tight black dress and entered a private room, where she spent a joyful evening with the Mercedes driver.

Until Wednesday, no one seemed to know if the stars knew each other before or whether they had friends in common. But this Thursday everything has changed.

It has been confirmed that Shakira has seen Hamilton again. The Sun and the Daily Mail have published pictures in which she is seen getting on a yacht on the coast of Miami, along with the pilot and other friends of his.

However, what is most striking is the singer-songwriter's attitude. She is smiling and chatty, something that didn't happen much in recent months in Barcelona.

It remains to be seen if Hamilton is the reason why she is happy or it is because of the release of her new single Acrostico on Thursday.

Chatting with Tom Cruise

Last week Shakira was linked with Tom Cruise , with whom she was seen smiling at the GP in Miami. According to a person close to the singer, Shakira had a great time with the famous actor last Sunday. Even so, she would not consider having any kind of relationship with him.

"Shakira had a great time hanging out with Tom at F1 but she has no interest in dating him," a source told US Weekly.

"He was really nice and she enjoyed his company, but she isn't focused on dating him or anybody else at the moment. She has a lot on her plate and is focused on her kids and career for now.

"Shakira has seen the online rumors that Tom has been courting her - and how fans are chiming in with their opinions - but she thinks it's hilarious because it's just not true. She had a fun time when they chatted, but that's as far as things have gone."

Lewis Hamilton parties with celebrities on yacht as he puts F1 struggles behind him

It hasn't been an easy f1 season for lewis hamilton, and he's clearly spending his brief break taking his mind off the sport.

Lewis Hamilton is enjoying his two weeks off from F1 by spending time on a yacht with some fellow celebrities. The seven-time champion was all smiles as he enjoyed some downtime on the Spanish island of Ibiza.

"I would say I swim a lot more than I surf," he said. "I'm so competitive, so I paddle for pretty much every wave. I could be out there for hours and I might miss 100 waves but I get five good waves in the day.

“What I really love about it is you don't have your phone with you, it's time on your own. You have time to think and just let the waves continue to go and appreciate just how powerful mother nature is. I also feel the ocean is very cleansing and I just like getting rid of negative energy.”

Hamilton’s last F1 result was a positive one, as he finished third at the British Grand Prix in front of his home fans. He finished behind fellow British driver Lando Narros and winner Max Verstappen, who claimed his sixth consecutive victory.

The sport now moves to the Hungarian GP, which will be held this Sunday. It is one of Hamilton’s most successful races, which he has won eight times - more than any other driver.

Mercedes improved their front wing for the British GP and technical director James Allison revealed it "should improve the balance and performance of the car through the slower range of the corners." And with the Hungary track "made up almost entirely of slower stuff," it should help Mercedes be more competitive with the front runners.

"The new front wing is of course designed to make us go faster," Allison said. "That's why we do all our things. Early signs are promising, the new front wing seemed to do what we expected and, hopefully, it will bring us more at tracks, which have a wider range of slow corners."

LEWIS HAMILTON has been enjoying some downtime in Ibiza after coming third at last weekend's British Grand Prix.

The 38-year-old grabbed a place on the podium at Silverstone, before partying into the night with pop superstar Shakira .

Having flown over to watch Sir Lewis at the British GP, Shakira joined him at celeb haunt Tape London - with the pair chatting together before she left at around 3:30am.

With Formula 1 stars having this weekend off, Hamilton has headed to Ibiza for some relaxation.

The Mercedes star has been hanging out on a yacht in the sunshine, and was joined by some other famous faces.

Hamilton was pictured alongside 20-year-old Jenny Stray Spetalen, daughter of Norwegian tycoon Oystein Stray Spetalen.

Also onboard were Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez, Romeo + Juliet director Baz Luhrmann and his wife Catherine Martin.

Jenny has previously tried her hand at tennis.

She competed in singles at three tournaments in Norway between 2016 and 2019 - but won just two games across three matches.

Gonzalez, 33, has starred in a number of films and TV series - and is set to appear in Guy Ritchie's The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare alongside Henry Cavill next year.

With Hamilton enjoying himself in Ibiza, Shakira headed to yesterday's Wimbledon men's semi-finals.

The 46-year-old was in attendance on Centre Court as Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz booked their places in Sunday's final.

Also in attendance at Wimbledon this week has been Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler.

Shakira is rumoured to be dating the 33-year-old, with the duo heading out in Mayfair together earlier this week.

Hamilton is set to return to action next week at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

The seven-time world champion will attempt to grab his first win since 2021, although Max Verstappen will be tough to stop in his far superior Red Bull.

Lewis Hamilton discussed the joys of racing at Silverstone as he cruised down the River Thames in a luxury yacht.

The stunt celebrated IWC Schaffhausen’s 10-year partnership with Mercedes F1 , the team that Hamilton competes for.

He was joined by radio presenter Roman Kemp on the yacht, speeding past iconic British monuments including the London Eye, Tate Modern and Houses of Parliament.

“I feel a lot of love there, it’s absolutely unbelievable every year we go,” Hamilton said of racing at Silverstone.

The 2024 Silverstone Grand Prix takes place on Sunday 7 July.

Hamilton helpless as Mercedes star faces one of F1’s STRANGEST dilemmas

When Lewis Hamilton " href="https://www.gpfans.com/en/f1-drivers/lewis-hamilton/news/"> Lewis Hamilton returns to the Formula 1 paddock in Zandvoort later this week after the summer break, he will no doubt be hoping that Mercedes " href="https://www.gpfans.com/en/f1-teams/mercedes/news/"> Mercedes are able to maintain the momentum which has given him the chance once again do what he does best – win.

The seven-time world champions finally extended his record number of F1 victories to 104 and then 105 by winning the British Grand Prix at Silverstone in July before following it up with success at the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa three weeks later.

Those triumphs ended a run of two-and-a-half seasons away from the top step of the podium for the 38-year-old, and came as Mercedes reeled in frontrunners Red Bull " href="https://www.gpfans.com/en/f1-teams/red-bull-racing/news/"> Red Bull alongside McLaren " href="https://www.gpfans.com/en/f1-teams/mclaren/news/"> McLaren .

Ever since F1 transitioned to its new era of ground-effect aerodynamics-based technical regulations at the start of the 2022 season, Mercedes had failed to provide Hamilton with a car in which he could challenge at the front.

A failed initial concept was followed by ignorance over the extent to which the team had followed the wrong track, before Hamilton undertook a series of setup experiments made physically gruelling by the cars’ tendency to violently bounce at high speed.

With Red Bull struggling to improve upon their own machinery - which had been dominant to an unprecedented across the two previous campaigns - from this spring onwards, those left in their dust were finally given the opportunity to make up serious ground. Belated it may have been, but Mercedes finally propelled themselves into contention again.

How has Hamilton managed to win again?

Hamilton’s latest two wins were not merely the result of the car’s improvement, of course. At neither of those two race weekends was the W15 the fastest on the grid – on race pace McLaren had the advantage and should be disappointed they were unable to turn it into a pair of victories.

But the team’s progress allowed Hamilton to make the difference. He drove with his typical intelligence, consistency and confidence on tyres to punish McLaren’s strategic errors and deliver the results he, his team and his fans had waited so long to see again.

Given the pressure to end his long victory drought, it would have been easy for Hamilton to panic in either scenario – to make the wrong tyre chance before the final stint at Silverstone (as Lando Norris " href="https://www.gpfans.com/en/f1-drivers/lando-norris/news/"> Lando Norris did) or to make a mistake when hunted down by the quicker Oscar Piastri " href="https://www.gpfans.com/en/f1-drivers/oscar-piastri/news/"> Oscar Piastri in the final stages at Spa. He didn’t, because this was Hamilton at his level-headed best.

This is not just a driver with more championship and victories behind him than any other, but one who seems once again laser-focused on forward momentum, unburdened by a fundamentally flawed car and disputes about how to improve it. If Mercedes are able to maintain the efficacy of their development plan, they will reap the rewards of Hamilton’s combination of speed and unflappability between now and the season finale in Abu Dhabi in December.

But Hamilton is now facing one of F1’s more quirky quandaries – hoping his current team can provide him with the platform to win as often as possible, while also hoping his future team is making better progress on next season’s car.

Why is Hamilton's situation a bit strange?

That is the nature of the way F1’s driver market works - deals are often agreed so far in advance that, as in the case of Hamilton’s upcoming move to Ferrari " href="https://www.gpfans.com/en/f1-teams/ferrari/news/"> Ferrari for 2025, an entire season can pass before switches actually happen.

It means working as hard as possible with current colleagues to achieve the best results, while having no idea how well next season’s ones are preparing for your arrival, but hoping for the best. A process at once relatively awkward and entirely logical.

Some drivers are left in a kind of development purgatory where they cannot help influence the car they will drive for next year and beyond, and are also increasingly left out of key performance meetings with their current team as their departure draws nearer. Hamilton reflected as much earlier this year.

“I mean, it’s inevitable perhaps [that I’ll be left out of meetings with Mercedes] at one stage, but at the end of the day, no information that I would get this year will impact next year because I’m not in communication [with Ferrari ],” Hamilton said. “Nothing passes hands until I start the season next year. And it takes time to develop things.”

2025 is the final season of F1’s current regulations before a huge reworking of both the cars and power units comes in for 2026, meaning next year’s vehicles are very likely to be lightly adapted evolutions of each team’s effort from this year, with focus increasingly centered on the new era as the gap until its start shortens.

That means both Mercedes and Ferrari’s level of performance in the final ten races of the season are likely to be pretty indicative of what they will be able to achieve in 2025, at least in its early stages.

For Hamilton, then, what Mercedes do next will dictate to what extent he is able to capitalise on his resurgence in the short-term. But what happens in the scarlet red garages will offer a far more accurate glimpse into his future and whether he is able to finally win an eighth championship.

Though he may not be able to collaborate with his new team until the contract changeover happens on 1 January, he will no doubt be hoping Ferrari demonstrate significant forward progress as well as Mercedes.

W inning an F1 race has always been special for racing drivers. Since it is considered one of the tightest racing events in the world, crossing the finish line first is a massive achievement. While some drivers on the current grid won a race recently, others have been experiencing a drought for quite some time. Here is a ranking list of the number of races since current F1 drivers last won a race.

#13 Lewis Hamilton - 0 races - 2024 F1 Belgian GP

As of now, Lewis Hamilton won the last race that took place. He clinched the 2024 F1 Belgian GP, which was the last race before the ongoing summer break. Though the race was won by his teammate George Russell, and Hamilton finished second, the former's car was underweight as per regulations and was disqualified. Several hours after the Grand Prix, the results were changed and Hamilton became the race winner.

#12 Oscar Piastri - 1 race - 2024 F1 Hungarian GP

McLaren driver Oscar Piastri won his first race in Hungary this year. This race was only one race before the Belgian GP, after which the ongoing summer break began.

Piastri managed to win the race after McLaren urged his teammate, Lando Norris, to swap positions with the Australian. Since Norris was leading the race and was in contention to fight for the drivers' championship with Verstappen, the swap was questioned by several people in the fan base.

Nonetheless, the Australian celebrated his first victory with Norris and the British team.

#11 George Russell - 3 races - 2024 F1 Austrian GP

Since George Russell was disqualified after winning the Belgian GP, his last official race win was in Austria. During the race, both Lando Norris and Max Verstappen were in an intense battle for the lead of the race. Their heated battle culminated in a collision, which cost both of them. While Norris had to retire from the race due to damage, Verstappen managed to make a pitstop and secure P5.

George Russell took advantage of this clash between the Red Bull and McLaren drivers and took the lead in the race, eventually winning the event.

#10 Max Verstappen - 4 races - 2024 F1 Spanish GP

The defending world champion's last race win was in Spain. Despite pressure from McLaren's Lando Norris, Max Verstappen was able to maintain his lead and win the race. It is quite surprising that, for four races, Verstappen has not won a race, especially when considering how dominant he has been in the past seasons.

The Red Bull star continues to lead the drivers' championship table with 277 points.

#9 Charles Leclerc - 6 races - 2024 F1 Monaco GP

It has been six races since Charles Leclerc last won a Grand Prix. However, his last race win could have been his most memorable one. The Monegasque was finally able to cross the finish line first at his home race, the Monaco GP. He took pole position on Saturday and managed to keep his car on track for 78 laps to bring home the victory.

#8 Lando Norris - 8 races - 2024 F1 Miami GP

The second McLaren driver, Lando Norris , also won his first race in 2024. In the Miami GP, Norris started from P5 and gradually climbed the ladder, and took the race lead. He kept the lead for nearly half the race and won his first Grand Prix of his career.

Following his race win, Norris has been a regular visitor to the podium and currently stands in second place in the standings with 199 points.

#7 Carlos Sainz - 11 races - 2024 F1 Australian GP

During the Saudi Arabian GP, Carlos Sainz was diagnosed with appendicitis and was replaced by Ferrari junior Oliver Bearman. Upon recovering from the condition, the Spaniard returned to the grid with a bang and won the next race right after Saudi Arabia.

In the Australian GP, Sainz qualified P2 and won the race after Verstappen suffered a major issue with his car and retired from the Grand Prix.

#6 Sergio Perez - 32 races - 2023 F1 Azerbaijan GP

Sergio Perez has not won a single race in the 2024 F1 season. His last win was back in 2023 when he took the chequered flag in Azerbaijan. Since his last win, his teammate Max Verstappen has been the dominant force in the sport. Though several drivers won a race in 2024, Perez has experienced a major dip in performance and has not been able to bring himself up to speed.

#5 Valtteri Bottas - 65 races - 2021 F1 Turkish GP

Valtteri Bottas ' last race win was when he was with Mercedes in 2021. The Finnish driver won in Turkey during extremely tricky weather conditions. He led most of the laps in the race with other drivers struggling to find grip on the wet track.

Ever since Bottas left Mercedes to join Alfa Romeo (currently Kick Sauber), he has been unable to race near the top spots, let alone win a race. He is currently 21st in the drivers' standings with zero points.

#4 Daniel Ricciardo - 67 races - 2021 F1 Italian GP

Daniel Ricciardo 's last race win was with McLaren in 2021, where he managed to take the lead in the race after both Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton crashed into each other during their intense title battle.

Ricciardo led the remainder of the race and clinched the victory. While this was a massive highlight for the Australian, he has not won a single race since then.

#3 Esteban Ocon - 70 races - 2021 F1 Hungarian GP

A few races before Ricciardo's win, Esteban Ocon won his first Grand Prix in Hungary in 2021. At the start of the race, there was a massive crash involving several cars. This allowed Ocon to move up to third place in the first few laps. The Alpine driver then managed to take the lead of the race during pit stops and managed to keep it for the rest of the race.

In the last few laps of the race, Ocon's former teammate, Alonso defended Lewis Hamilton from getting by and taking the lead from the Frenchman, allowing Ocon to win his first and only race so far.

#2 Pierre Gasly - 90 races - 2020 F1 Italian GP

It has been nearly four years and 90 races since Pierre Gasly last won a Grand Prix. His last win was also his first win in 2020 Italian GP, where he crept up to the second spot, and secured the position for quite some time. When Hamilton came into the pits to serve a time penalty, Gasly took the lead of the race and kept it to win the race.

#1 Fernando Alonso 233 races - 2013 F1 Spanish GP

Fernando Alonso has the largest gap between his last race win and his future race win as of now. The Spaniard has been racing in the sport for more than 24 years and has had a long career filled with ups and downs. His last race win came more than a decade ago when he was in Ferrari. The Spaniard won his home GP in 2013.

The Spaniard started the race in P5, but took some bold overtakes to move up to P3. He then undercut Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel and overtook Mercedes' Nico Rosberg to take the lead in the race.
