Additional Prep/DMV Info

Dealer Engine Prep is required to validate the warranty and ensure a working engine. Prep includes completing a full Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) checklist, test-run performed in a tank for quality assurance, and re-crating for shipment. Outboards picked up in-store may be stand-alone and no longer in the box or crate.

Pre-Delivery Inspection

Pre-delivery Inspection is required to validate the warranty and includes the necessary services & products used on each new vessel to ensure quality performance prior to delivery.

For rigged vessels: Boat Specialists will install a deep cycle marine battery, rig all steering components, and complete an electrical and systems check. A full system check includes filling the motor with oil, fluids, and fuel, then a test run performed in a tank for quality assurance.

Once everything is tuned and prepared, a sea trial is performed to achieve the ideal RPM-to-top-speed ratio, ensuring the boat gets on plane properly and all systems operate on water. Afterward, full detail is performed on the exterior, deck, and hull to be turn-key ready for the customer.

DMV Registration On Boats and Trailers - For California Residents Only

Boat Specialists will take care of your CA DMV registration including signing a Power of Attorney for each registration. We will mail temporary paperwork with the documents that require the customer's signature. The customer is to sign and return the documents in the envelope provided. Once we have received the paperwork, we will submit all required documents to the DMV to complete registration.

ALL OUTBOARDS AND RIGID INFLATABLE BOATS (RIBS) ARE SHIPPED WITH A DELIVERY SIGNATURE REQUIREMENT AND MUST BE SHIPPED TO A PHYSICAL STREET ADDRESS. The customer must inspect the packaging before accepting the delivery. If there appears to be any damage to the unit, the customer must refuse the delivery and take pictures of the damaged packaging and damaged units, including any broken pieces. If the packaging is damaged, but the product appears unharmed, the customer must have the delivery driver note the type and location of the damage on the Delivery Receipt and take pictures of the damaged packaging. If the parcel is left without a signature and damage is found, please contact Customer Service immediately at (805) 644-6290. Do not discard the box or any packaging materials.

INFLATABLE BOATS, OUTBOARDS*, TRAILERS, AND ELECTRONICS CAN NOT BE RETURNED For all other products, returns for refunds must be made within 10 days, minus shipping and handling fees. Returns for store credit or exchange must be made within 30 days. Special orders are ineligible for returns. We only replace items if they are defective or damaged and notified within 10 days. A refund will be processed once the product is received from the customer. Customers must notify return within 10 days and provide a tracking number to be eligible for a refund. *Please note, all motors require oil and fuel prior to starting. Inside the 400 Central tower that’s passed $250M in sales

Standing 11 floors high, hundreds of workers can be seen building out the next levels of the 46-story luxury condominium high-rise development at 400 Central – the project New York billionaire John Catsimatidis is spearheading. 

“I wanted to build a building we are all proud of,” Catsimatidis said alongside his son, John Catsimatidis Jr., standing in the dirt at the property occupying a full city block.

St. Petersburg Mayor Ken Welch joined Catsimatidis during the Oct. 28 hard hat tour celebrating the construction progress of what will become the tallest condo tower in the city.

The team announced the 301-unit project surpassed $250 million in sales, with more than $50 million placed under contract in the last six weeks.

The prices of the units start in the $800,000 range. 

The group recently sold a 4,237-square-foot penthouse on the 43rd floor for $5.23 million. Catsimatidis said the majority of buyers hail from across Florida, the Northeast and Midwest.  

The condos in the 515-foot-high tower will feature views of downtown and the Gulf of Mexico.

While Catsimatidis is a Greek-born New Yorker widely known for his projects in Coney Island and downtown Brooklyn, he has strong ties to St. Petersburg. His wife, Margo, is a St. Pete native and they’ve been visiting family members and friends in the area over the past 40-plus years.

Red Apple Real Estate is working with general contractor Suffolk Construction, which began working at the 2.3-acre site in 2021. 

The group has worked on a handful of other developments in the state, including the guitar-shaped Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino expansion, and projects at the Tampa International Airport.

The contractors are doing a “rinse-and-repeat” process of pouring slabs and creating vertical columns for each floor.

The $400 million project will be completed by the first quarter of 2025. 

Catsimatidis Sr. will move into one of the penthouses. 

The Suffolk Construction team has avoided over 1,300 building conflicts from ductwork to piping, thanks to an advanced virtual modeling program . 

The units will have large glass windows to capture the different viewpoints.  

Red Apple is also working with the architectural firm Arquitectonica. 

During the tour, executives said there will be a 12,000-square-foot restaurant that will anchor the ground floor commercial space that will wrap around the 1.3 million-square-foot building along Central Avenue, 5th Street and 1st Avenue South.

The main restaurant will be a high-end concept, according to the team. 

There will be a Sky Observatory and amenity deck on the 46th floor.

Catsimatidis is considering doubling the Class A 40,000-square-foot office space component due to the live-work demand. 

He said the 400 Central project is just one part of his overall $1 billion-plus real estate investment plan for the area, but has not yet disclosed further details.

Too bad 97% of locals can’t afford to live there and getting pushed out of downtown. I hope the culture of St. Pete is able to stay and it not become another Miami.
