The large luxury yacht NIBANI is a motor yacht. This 40 m (131 foot) luxury yacht was built by Maritima De Axpe in 1971. NIBANI was formerly called 58; Delfino Ii; Les Girls Delfino. Christened for 1971 her internal styling showcases the traditional approach of owner and Susan Puleo.

The Construction & Naval Architecture of Luxury Yacht NIBANI

The yacht's general design work came from James S Krogen and Arthur De Fever. The technical naval architect drawings are a work of James S Krogen. Motor Yacht NIBANI received her stylish interior designing from the interior design company of Susan Puleo. Created at Maritima De Axpe this vessel was constructed in the country of Spain. She was successfully launched in Bilbao in 1971 before being transferred to the owner. Her main hull was built out of steel. The motor yacht main superstructure is fabricated predominantly using steel. The length of the luxury yacht on deck is 38.68 (126.9 ft). With a width of 7.32 metres / 24 feet NIBANI has reasonable internal space. A fairly deep draught of 3.51m (11.5ft) determines the number of overall marinas she can enter into, contingent on their minimum characteristics. She had refit maintenance and alteration work undertaken by 2004.

M/Y NIBANI Engineering & Speeds:

This yacht makes use of twin capable CATERPILLAR diesel engine(s) and can manage a stately top speed underway of approximately 12 knots. The engine of the yacht creates 465 horse power (or 342 kilowatts). Her total HP is 930 HP and her total Kilowatts are 684. For propulsion NIBANI has twin screw propellers. As for the yacht’s stabalisers she was built with Vosper. As for bow thruster maneuverability she utilises Schottel. The boat’s moderate cruise speed is 10 knots which produces a range of 12000.

Luxury yacht Nibani runs aground near Rome

The 40m luxury yacht Nibani had to be refloated after it ran aground recently at the Italian port of Ostia, near Rome.

The superyacht, which is available for charter , reportedly lost control immediately after exiting the port’s breakwater, which led to the vessel slowly drifting to shore.

The incident, which was captured on  video by Ostia News , saw the Port Authority of Rome involved in the refloating of Nibani. The authority acted swiftly on receiving the news, immediately ordering two tug boats to assist in the removal of the yacht from the beach.

In addition, an anti-pollution vessel along with divers were deployed to inspect and combat any possibility of pollution to the area. Port operations were suspended until Nibani was safely be moved into open waters again.

A salvage team waited until early the following morning to execute the procedure, with the aid of high tide. Substantial weighted objects such as anchors were removed before Nibani was towed stern-first away from the beach after which she was taken to a nearby shipyard.

The extent of damage suffered by Nibani is yet to be quantified but no other damage to vessels or the ecosystem was reported.

Nibani, which has a steel hull and superstructure, was custom built in 1971 by Maritima de Axpe. Her exterior design and engineering are the work of Arthur de Fever. Previously named Les Girls Delfino her interior was designed by Puleo Inc.

Nibani offers accommodation for up to 10 guests and nine crew. She has a range of 12,000 nautical miles and a top speed of 12 knots. She underwent refits in 1997 and 2003.

The Unique Burial of a Child of Early Scythian Time at the Cemetery of Saryg-Bulun (Tuva)

In 1988, the Tuvan Archaeological Expedition (led by M. E. Kilunovskaya and V. A. Semenov) discovered a unique burial of the early Iron Age at Saryg-Bulun in Central Tuva. There are two burial mounds of the Aldy-Bel culture dated by 7th century BC. Within the barrows, which adjoined one another, forming a figure-of-eight, there were discovered 7 burials, from which a representative collection of artifacts was recovered. Burial 5 was the most unique, it was found in a coffin made of a larch trunk, with a tightly closed lid. Due to the preservative properties of larch and lack of air access, the coffin contained a well-preserved mummy of a child with an accompanying set of grave goods. The interred individual retained the skin on his face and had a leather headdress painted with red pigment and a coat, sewn from jerboa fur. The coat was belted with a leather belt with bronze ornaments and buckles. Besides that, a leather quiver with arrows with the shafts decorated with painted ornaments, fully preserved battle pick and a bow were buried in the coffin. Unexpectedly, the full-genomic analysis, showed that the individual was female. This fact opens a new aspect in the study of the social history of the Scythian society and perhaps brings us back to the myth of the Amazons, discussed by Herodotus. Of course, this discovery is unique in its preservation for the Scythian culture of Tuva and requires careful study and conservation.
