Built by Mondomarine, IMPULSIVE’s sleek profile conceals a voluminous five-cabin interior designed by Luca Dini and Fréderic Méchiche. Cool and clean styling abounds, flowing inside and out seamlessly to leave you immersed in the outdoor environment.

The main deck aft features a large semi-circular glass entranceway, offering spectacular views from the interior dining area. The sun deck boasts a large Jacuzzi, a vast undercover area with a full-service bar, and wonderfully private seating and lounge options for perfect evenings aboard. The previous owner has maintained the yacht impeccably, working to create several redesigns and improvements over the years.

Interior living is well appointed and spacious laid over 2 decks, featuring light toned soft furnishings with detailed piping, creating a tailored ambience, beautifully complimenting the dark wood floors and white panels. The main salon and dining area is a contemporary open plan, with the lounge area offering 2 opposing sofas, coffee tables, occasional chairs and dining table. Surrounding windows provide plenty of natural light and good views. Further aft is a floor to ceiling semicircular glass enclosure, which effortlessly opens to offer optional alfresco dining. Accommodation is in 5 guest cabins, comprising 1 master stateroom, 2 spacious full beam VIP double cabins with queen beds and 2 twin cabins, all of which are en-suite.

Accommodation is for up to 10-12 charter guests, in 5 attractive cabins. The master stateroom is on the main deck forward and full beam of the yacht. Upon entering the master cabin, there is a private study with seating on the starboard side, this leads into the full beam cabin space where there is a king size bed, sofa, desk, walk-in wardrobe and his and hers ensuite, offering a large central shower. On the lower deck are 2 spacious VIP guest cabins, each full beam of the yacht, with queen size beds, sofa, desk and walk-in wardrobe. A further 2 cabins are port and starboard, with side by side twin cabins.

IMPULSIVE offers underway and zero speed stabilizers and has semi-displacement versatility with a range of up to 3,000-miles or speed up to 21 knots.

PET FRIENDLY! IMPULSIVE is a dog-friendly superyacht and welcomes applications, with a preference for dogs under 10kg.

The 40.44m/132'8" motor yacht 'Impulsive' by the Italian shipyard Mondo Marine offers flexible accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 cabins and features interior styling by Italian designer LUCA DINI Design & Architecture.

Boasting an array of sumptuous living areas laid out invitingly to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere onboard, motor yacht Impulsive is the perfect luxury charter yacht for friends and family.

Exterior Design

Infinity has an extremely sporty profile which is the choice of the owner who redesigned the main deck with a decisive intervention in the cockpit. The cockpit has been revolutionised with a large semi-circular window that forms a veranda there. Within this semi-circle is the dining room, not in the classical position to the bow of the living area. Access to the yacht is also on the starboard side.

Guest Accommodation

Built in 2007, Impulsive offers guest accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising a master suite located on the main deck, two VIP cabins and two cabins that can operate as twins or doubles. The supremely spacious full beam master suite incorporates its own study benefits from a his and her bathroom. There are 7 beds in total, including 1 king, 2 queen and 4 singles. She is also capable of carrying up to 8 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.

Onboard Comfort & Entertainment

A charter on Impulsive is comfortable and convenient thanks to the provided amenities, particularly a deck jacuzzi, perfect to enjoy the scenery with your favourite drink in hand.

Whatever your activities on your charter, you'll find some impressive features are seamlessly integrated to help you, particularly air conditioning to keep your comfortable throughout your charter.

Performance & Range

Built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, she benefits from a semi-displacement hull to provide exceptional seakeeping and impressive speeds. Impulsive comfortably cruises at 12 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 21 knots with a range of up to 3,200 nautical miles from her 48,500 litre fuel tanks at 15 knots. With a shallow draft of 2.15m/7'1" Impulsive can anchor closer to coves and sheltered bays overnight.

Impulsive has a good selection of water toys and accessories to entertain you and your guests whilst on charter. Principle among these are waterslides for guests of all ages to enjoy. If that isn't enough Impulsive also features fishing equipment, inflatable water toys and snorkelling equipment. Impulsive has a Tender to transfer you from ship to shore.

Built by Mondomarine in 2007, 132.68ft /40.44m IMPULSIVE charter yacht boasts a sporty and sleek profile designed by Luca Dini and Fréderic Méchiche, and was most recently refitted in 2023.

The main deck aft has a large semi-circular glass entrance way, which offers amazing views from the interior dining area, the formal lounge is luxuriously appointed, and the sleek and stylish cellar/bar is an undisputed interior highlight. Her elegant upper deck has a large Japanese soaker tub, fully equipped bar, and a beautiful private lounge area for ultimate relaxation.

Her interior layout sleeps groups of up to 10 guests, accommodated in a full-beam master suite on the main deck along with two VIP staterooms and two double/twin cabins on the lower deck. IMPULSIVE can also facilitate up to 80 for cocktail events across all her current cruising locations, with a sit-down capacity of 30, and is capable of carrying up to 8 crew onboard.

Impulsive offers the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. You can either cast a fishing line or sit back and relax in the soaker tub on the upper deck. Guests have the option to discover rich underwater treasures with complementary snorkelling equipment or release your inner child as you zoom down the FunAir Inflatable Waterslide or explore the IMPULSIVE beach club with lounges and shades. For an added dose of excitement, hop on the new Seadoo Jetski (2023) to glide through the crystal-clear waves.

Your Responsibilities

Please advise us before booking if any passengers are under 18 years old to ensure this is the appropriate trip. 

You must reconfirm all booked tours prior to travel as specified on your voucher. If applicable, notes such as dietary requirements, pick-up locations and additional fees should also be confirmed at this time. Reconfirmations cannot be actioned through Sailing Whitsundays/Mr Travel, and must be done so directly through the Service Operator as specified on each ticket.

It is your responsibility to notify us of ticket discrepancies. Please read through the details on your voucher thoroughly to ensure all details such as passenger names, ages and dates of travel on vouchers are correct.

It is the responsibility of all passengers travelling to advise both your travel agent at the time of booking and the vessel check-in agent before boarding of any medical conditions including food allergies you may suffer from.

You need to allow adequate time to check-in prior to the specified departure time. 

Prices/Extra Costs:

All prices are stated in Australian dollars and include GST. Surcharges over peak holiday seasons may apply. 

The Service Operator reserves the right to alter prices and extra costs. Extra costs may include EMC fees, Stingersuit/Wetsuit Hire, Luggage Storage, Insurance, Linen Hire, National Park Fees, Fuel Levies, Dietary Fees, etc. Bonds may also apply.

We will also endeavour to communicate these extra costs with you at the time of booking, and on your ticket. However, it is your responsibility to confirm which (if any) additional costs apply with each Service Operator upon reconfirming your trip.

Travel Risk/Insurance:

It should be noted that adventure travel involves risk. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard clients, we cannot be responsible for personal injury or loss due to the actions of our clients which are beyond our control. We highly recommend that all clients have travel insurance covering illness, injury, loss or damage to personal belongings and not being able to travel on the confirmed date of departure. You should also ensure your travel insurance will cover special circumstances including weather events preventing guests from travelling to their tour departure destination and cancelled flights due to unforeseen circumstances. 

Merchant Fees:

Please be aware operators pass on credit card merchant fees so there is a non-refundable 1% surcharge for VISA and MASTERCARD card purchases.

All ticket/voucher reissues attract a $20 administration fee.

Open Date Vouchers / Gift Certificate:

Shipping Costs are in addition to the ticket price and will be added at check-out. Shipping costs are non-refundable and do not makeup part of the ticket value. 

E-Vouchers incur no shipping fees. You have 5 years to use the value of the voucher. Seasonal Price Rises will apply if travelling out the current seasons pricing. Vouchers can be exchanged for free up to the full value of the voucher excluding credit card fees and charges.

Cancellations

Client Cancellations:

All cancellations forfeit the non-refundable deposit. All balance payments are due 2 months prior to departure. Failure to pay the remaining balance before this scheduled date will result in termination of the charter and forfeit of the non-refundable deposit. Once the balance payment has been made, no shows and client cancellations made within 30 days of departure forfeit 100% of the full ticket price.

It is compulsory that all cancellation requests are in writing and sent via email to [email protected]. Cancellations attempted via online chat or phone will not be actioned.

Supplier Cancellations:

The Service Operator reserves the right to alter prices, alter itineraries, apply a fuel surcharge, cancel departures, arrange alternative transport and vary itineraries and services if necessary.

All departures and itineraries are subject to weather. Tours may be changed or cancelled for any reason at the discretion of the Service Operator. If the Service Operator has to cancel the trip or activity (prior to departure) and we cannot offer a suitable alternative, then a refund will be given minus a 20% administration fee and any associated card fees. We strongly recommend that you have travel insurance, especially during the wet season.

In the unlikely event of your trip being cancelled or stood down, all guest communication is required to go through our Online Store via telephone or email. While there is a Sailing Whitsundays retail outlet located Airlie Beach, please be aware that they operate as a separate entity and are unable to access reservations made by the Mr Travel online department.

All refunds are in Australian Dollars and must be made to the card of payment. Sailing Whitsundays/Mr Travel is not liable for exchange rate fluctuations or fees, or any other merchant/bank fees associated with domestic and/or international transactions.

Where a full refund is applicable, there is the option to transfer the whole cost of the tour to another tour or “Credit” to avoid the administration fee. A transfer fee of $20 will apply.

You will be emailed confirmation once the refund has been processed. Once the refund has been processed, it may still take time for the banks to clear the amount. Please allow 7-10 business days for the funds to clear into Australian accounts and up to 21 business days for international accounts.

Accountability/Misconduct:

All Service Operators have the right to provide client feedback and to cancel bookings based on feedback from other Service Operators.

Sailing Whitsundays/Mr Travel will treat this as any normal client cancellation and therefore the cancellation fees stated in the Client Cancellation Policy will apply.

What is the maximum capacity of the boat? Boat is surveyed to hold a maximum of 50 passengers. Please note, an infant, regardless of age is considered a passenger. Is the boat suitable for children? Yes, it is suitable for children and appropriate sized lifejackets are available on request. Children must be under adult supervision at all times. Catered Food Options Can we organise a meal on board? Yes, we can recommend some excellent caterers for you where we can design the perfect menu to suit your budget and taste. On Tour Can we have music on board? Yes, the vessel is equipped with a sound system where you can plug in a music compatible device like an iPhone. Please ensure your mp3 player is fully charged. Where can we go during our charter? Your skipper can take you most places within Sydney Harbour, providing it is within the surveyed boundaries. Should your guests wish to go to a specific location within Sydney Harbour please let us know at time of briefing. Can we extend our charter time during the charter? Yes, although this is subject to availability. Please note, the charter will be extended based on the decision of the captain on board and payment will be processed post charter by authorised bond. Booking and Payment How do I secure my booking? A minimum 50% deposit is required to confirm booking, with the balance payable 14 days prior to commencement of the charter. Upon payment of your deposit, a Skippered Charter Contract will be emailed to you, confirming details relevant to your charter, which must be signed and returned. Payment can be made by MasterCard, Visa, EFTPOS, Electronic Funds Transfer or cash. Diners Card, Bankcard and Cheques are not accepted. Is there any paperwork to complete before we go on our charter? Yes, we require your signed contract and authorised bond form prior to your charter commencing. Cancellation If I cancel the charter, can I get a refund? We do not offer refunds should you wish to cancel your charter. If boating conditions are unsafe, as determined by the management of Sydney Harbour Escapes, we will offer a six month voucher where you can reschedule your charter based on availability. Please see our General Booking Information on our website or contact a staff member on 02 9328 4748 for details. Preparations and Arrival What do you advise we bring along for our charter? As conditions can vary on the water, it is suggested that you bring along a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, swimmers, and seasonal jumper or jacket. Does our party need to get there before the set time of the charter? All your party should be at the designated pick up point at least 15 minutes prior to your charter time to allow loading of passengers and gear and to enable enough time for the skipper's safety briefing. Please note, our charter will start and finish at the times on your contract. Can one of our guests be picked up late and dropped off early from another wharf? Multiple pick up and drop off points are not recommended as this will shorten your charter time significantly. We suggest that guests wishing to join the charter late or leave early should arrange alternative transportation via water taxi at their own cost. “ Haven feels very different from many other yachts; she has a practical and functional design that places great emphasis on outdoor living,” Sluijter said in a statement. “Thanks to an interplay of light and glazing, all interior spaces are well connected with the outdoors.”

Haven was built for an experienced owner who requested generous outdoor space, a family-oriented layout, and storage for water toys. With an impressive beam of 41 feet, the spacious yacht can comfortably accommodate all three requests. The contemporary interior was brought to life by RWD , with the British studio opting for natural materials, asymmetrical shapes, and striking artwork.

“Our team went on a journey with the owners and their family to create a distinct design vocabulary, with subtly crafted details that create a playful and timeless interior,” adds Mattia Mazzucchi, head of interiors at RWD . “Through the combination of curated pieces and custom designs, every inch of Haven will be beautiful, personal, and functional.”

In addition to launching Haven , Lürssen delivered the 400-foot Kismet to Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan on May 7. On a roll, indeed.

Man dies, two rescued after yacht capsizes off Lady Elliot Island

The search for a sailor who went missing when a yacht overturned off the Queensland coast has ended in tragedy after his body was recovered.

Police said the 65-year-old man had been travelling on the yacht from Yeppoon to Brisbane when an EPIRB was activated about four nautical miles south of Lady Elliot Island about 5am Sunday.

The vessel was found shortly after 10:15am with two men in the water.

RACQ LifeFlight said the father and son had managed to climb onto the upside-down vessel to raise the alarm.

They were winched into a rescue helicopter.

"It's believed the keel snapped on the boat the men were on, causing it to overturn," LifeFlight said in a media release.

Police said a 62-year-old man and 27-year-old man were taken to Bundaberg Hospital where they remained in a stable condition.

They said the body of the 65-year-old man was found shortly after 2pm.

Police said all three men were from Yeppoon.

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is once again facing renewed scrutiny amid details about undisclosed trips he took with GOP mega-donor Harlan Crow .

Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee last week released documents showing Thomas failed to disclose three trips he took aboard Crow's private jet in 2017, 2019, and 2021. According to Sen. Dick Durbin, the flights were gifted to Thomas .

Thomas also recently amended his 2019 financial disclosure to include two vacations paid for by Crow, according to ProPublica, that year to Indonesia and the Bohemian Grove, an exclusive gentleman's club in Monte Rio, California. ProPublica first reported on the undisclosed trips last year.

The justice has defended the missing disclosures, saying he was advised that disclosing hospitality gifts from people who had no business before the court was unnecessary.

Thomas and Crow have been friends for more than thirty years. Both have said they don't talk about politics or legal cases together, but legal experts and lawmakers have expressed ethics concerns that Crow could have an influence on Thomas, a sitting member of the most powerful court in the country.

Michael Zona, a spokesperson for Crow, told BI the billionaire provided information relevant to the Senate Judiciary Committee's requests going back seven years.

"Despite his serious and continued concerns about the legality and necessity of the inquiry, Mr. Crow engaged in good faith negotiations with the Committee from the beginning to resolve the matter," the statement said. "As a condition of this agreement, the Committee agreed to end its probe with respect to Mr. Crow."

An attorney for Thomas, Elliot S. Berke, told Business Insider the vacation information Crow provided to the Senate Judiciary Committee falls under the "personal hospitality exemption," which means it did not need to be disclosed.

"The Judicial Conference changed this provision last year, and Justice Thomas has fully complied with the new disclosure requirement," Berke said.

The Supreme Court did not immediately respond to a request for comment from BI.

May 2017: Montana trip

On May 7, 2017, Thomas traveled on Crow's private jet from St. Louis to Kalispell, Montana, a small mountain town known as a gateway to Glacier National Park .

According to documents released by Senate Democrats last week, the Montana excursion is among the three previously unknown trips that Thomas failed to disclose.

It remains unclear what Thomas was doing in Montana; BI could not identify any public appearances the justice made in the state at that time.

On May 9, 2017, Crow's jet left Montana for Dallas, where the billionaire resides. Beyond the flight on Crow's jet, it's unclear how much of the trip Crow paid for.

July 2017: Camp Topridge in upstate New York

ProPublica reported last year that Thomas has vacationed at Crow's lakeside resort, Camp Topridge, nearly every year for the last two decades. The secluded property is located in the Adirondacks in upstate New York and is only accessible by invitation from the billionaire himself.

According to the outlet, Topridge guests are treated to meals prepared by private chefs, guided fishing experiences, and private concerts.

During a July 2017 Topridge trip, Thomas and Crow were joined by an array of corporate leaders and political activists, including major Republican donors and executives from Verizon and PricewaterhouseCoopers, ProPublica reported.

Thomas even appears in a painting hung at the resort, which shows the Supreme Court justice conversing with conservative legal activist Leonard Leo, according to the outlet.

March 2019: Savannah, Georgia

Thomas's quick round trip to his hometown of Savannah, Georgia , was the second undisclosed trip revealed last week. It wasn't clear what Thomas was doing in Georgia, but he still has family members living there, including his mother.

July 2019: Bali, Indonesia

Thomas and Crow's 2019 Bali vacation was the centerpiece of ProPublica's original 2023 report. Although first reported last year, disclosure details about the Indonesia trip were included in recently amended financial disclosure forms and the Judiciary Committee's report.

According to ProPublica, Thomas and his wife, Ginni Thomas , spent nine days vacationing with Crow and others as they sightsaw on several islands and spent time on the billionaire's 162-foot superyacht, the Michaela Rose.

July 2019: Bohemian Grove, California

Thomas amended past filings to include a 2019 vacation he took with Crow to Bohemian Grove , an exclusive, all-male club in Monte Rio, California.

ProPublica previously reported on Thomas' trips to the gentleman's retreat. The club's prestigious alumni include US presidents, military officials, artists, and top business leaders.

June 2021: Northern California

On June 29, 2021, Thomas traveled from Washington, DC, to San Jose, California, aboard Crow's jet, The Washington Post reported. He returned to DC the same day. The reason for the trip remains unknown.

July 2022: Camp Topridge (again)

On July 7, 2022, Thomas again boarded Crow's plane to travel to Camp Topridge — possibly for his annual summer vacation at his billionaire buddy's hideaway, ProPublica reported last year.

Other suspected trips

ProPublica said Thomas cruised through New Zealand aboard Crow's superyacht roughly a decade ago. The outlet reported that the Supreme Court Justice also boarded the Michaela Rose for a river cruise around Savannah, Georgia. A photo of Thomas donning an embroidered shirt referencing a 2007 trip through the Greek Islands suggests the justice may have also vacationed in the Mediterranean.

Thomas has also made frequent use of Crow's private jet for quick day trips and business travel, according to media reports.
