49m/161ft motor yacht MQ2 (ex.MARION QUEEN) is a Feadship superyacht built in 1990 and last refitted in 2015. De Voogt created her naval architecture and exterior styling, while Robert Knack International designed her interiors. The accommodation sleeps 12 guests across six guest cabins which all have en-suite facilities.

Take breakfast on the main deck aft and savour the casual ambience and close environment of the curved furnishings facing inward to the coffee tables. Below, the swim platform unfolds and leads down into the water to provide easy access for guests entering or leaving the sea.

The upper deck aft can be used for tender storage or left clear for alfresco dining in the sunshine for up to six guests. After a sumptuous three-course meal, the sun loungers along the stern are the perfect place to take a nap. In front of the helm, there is a settee where guests can enjoy forward views of the surrounding seascape.

The sundeck features a raised Jacuzzi in the shade and along with two L-shaped sofas on the port and starboard sides. Dry off in the sunshine on the sun loungers, or use the central area for exercising while taking in the spectacular views.

On the lower deck, the majority of the guest accommodation is located in the aft and consists of two twin cabins to the aft and two double cabins farther forward. after the engine room, there is the VIP stateroom, which has its own private lounge and stairway up to the main deck, ensuring guests in this stateroom do not need to access the crew quarters stairway.

On the main deck, the full-beam Master suite receives plenty of sunlight and has a spacious lounge as well as an en-suite bathroom. Aft of the main foyer, the open plan formal dining area and living room have a sophisticated colour scheme of browns and creams, offering plush dining room seating for up to eight guests. In the lounge, guests can settle into the sofas and watch a film on the widescreen TV while savouring a drink from the bar.

Above, the upper deck has a cosy lounge behind the helm station for guests looking to spend time on hobbies and enjoy some peace and quiet.

2 x Caterpillar C32 SCAC 634 engines allow for a cruising speed of 11 knots and a top speed of 14.5 knots.

The yacht was previously named Marion Queen, and she has lots of key features including numerous and expansive social spaces, vast exterior areas, and all the amenities you require for a sumptuous, memorable experience at sea.

MQ2’s stylish and elegant interior layout sleeps up to 12 guests in 6 rooms, including a master suite, 1 VIP stateroom, 3 double cabins, 1 twin cabin and 2 Pullman beds. She is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew members onboard to ensure you and your guests enjoy a luxury charter experience that is truly memorable, making use of the superyacht’s impressive amenities.

MQ2’s impressive leisure and entertainment facilities make her the ideal charter yacht for socialising and entertaining with family and friends.

She is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, and has a cruising speed of 11 knots, a maximum speed of 14 knots and a range of 6,200nm from 53,300litre fuel tanks. Overall, she perfectly combines style and substance.

She also comes complete with a modern stabilization system to reduce roll motion even during rough seas, and the yacht also has ‘at anchor stabilizers’ to keep things smooth even at anchor/zero speed.

The Robert Knack International interior flows through the layout offering ample accommodation for 12 guests in both style and comfort. MQ2, built with steel hull and aluminium superstructure, is an immaculately maintained, stable, superyacht with a highly-skilled staff of 10 yacht crew adding the dimension of unrivalled service for those on board.

Refitted in 2015, the contemporary exterior reflects the unbridled elegance on board, offering characteristic Feadship style wrapped around large volumes thanks to a beam of 8.18 metres (26’10”ft). Underway, guests can enjoy al-fresco dining and relaxation on the sun deck across the huge exterior spaces as well as true day-to-day comfort within for longer crossings. Capable of travelling at a top speed of 14 knots, MQ2 can take those on board across the water with low noise, vibration and total seakeeping ability.

Built in 1990 at the Van Lent shipyard in Holland, by Feadship yacht builders, the MQ2 is a 49m, (161 ft) Feadship megayacht that was updated and refitted in 2015 to give it a more modern and updated appeal. Feadship worked together with different designers and architects to construct the MQ2, one of the most beautiful, refitted megayachts on the water today.

The MQ2 is elegantly designed to cater to 12 guests in six cabins as well as 9 crewmen. The layout of the MQ2 is a relaxing, open design to give you plenty of space for entertaining and unwinding no matter where you are on the yacht, from the open flybridge to the spacious cabins.

Layout of the MQ2

The MQ2 is a full three decks and flybridge, or sundeck. Throughout the megayacht, there are plenty of seating areas along with several al fresco eating areas. The top deck offers plenty of spacious seating and entertainment area while the main deck houses the galley and dining area with a large dining table and plenty of room for dinner and mingling with your guests while overlooking the beautiful ocean views.

When it’s time to retire, your guests will be more than comfortable in the six expansive and accommodating cabins for your guests on the lower deck. The cabin layout includes two doubles, one twin, two Pullman berths, a master suite and VIP stateroom. The large master suite boasts of space galore. In it, you will find his’ and hers’ ensuite bathrooms and walk-in closets.

Relax and lounge; sun yourself by the Jacuzzi or relax your muscles in the Jacuzzi on the flydeck where the views are amazing and you can watch the beautiful, picturesque scenery go by. Try your hand at deep sea fishing off the back deck where you can also swim, snorkel or jet ski from here. All the watersports you can handle, are accessible off the extended watersports platform.

Motor Yacht

The 48.60 metre (159’5”ft) custom-built MQ2 yacht was launched in 1990 by Dutch shipyard Feadship and features a sophisticated exterior style by De Voogt Naval Architects, the in-house design studio who were also responsible for the naval architecture and layout on board; creating a complete package of comfortable living.

The Robert Knack International interior flows through the layout offering ample accommodation for 12 guests in both style and comfort. MQ2, built with steel hull and aluminium superstructure, is an immaculately maintained, stable, superyacht with a highly-skilled staff of 10 yacht crew adding the dimension of unrivalled service for those on board.

Refitted in 2015, the contemporary exterior reflects the unbridled elegance on board, offering characteristic Feadship style wrapped around large volumes thanks to a beam of 8.18 metres (26’10”ft). Underway, guests can enjoy al-fresco dining and relaxation on the sun deck across the huge exterior spaces as well as true day-to-day comfort within for longer crossings. Capable of travelling at a top speed of 14 knots, MQ2 can take those on board across the water with low noise, vibration and total seakeeping ability.

Her top speed is 14.0 kn, her cruising speed is 12.0 kn, and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 4500.0 nm at 11.0 kn, with power coming from two Detroit Diesel diesel engines. She can accommodate up to 14 guests in 7 staterooms, with 12 crew members. She has a gross tonnage of 467.0 GT and a 8.2 m beam.

She was designed by Frits De Voogt , who also completed the naval architecture. Frits De Voogt has designed 53 yachts and created the naval architecture for 67 yachts for yachts above 24 metres.

Her interior was designed by Design Unlimited , who has 31 other superyacht interiors designed in the BOAT Pro database - she is built with a Teak deck, a Steel hull, and Aluminium superstructure.

EMERALD underwent a full-scale rebuild at Balk Shipyard that finished in 2023.

EMERALD is in the top 10% by LOA in the world. She is one of 186 motor yachts in the 50-55m size range.

EMERALD is currently sailing under the Malta flag, the 3rd most popular flag state for superyachts with a total of 1105 yachts registered.
