Today, at Benetti’s Livorno shipyard, the mega yacht “Metis” entered the water for the very first time. She has exteriors designed by Giorgio M. Cassetta and interiors by Bannenberg & Rowell and Birgit Otte Interior Design. The distinctive feature of “Metis” is the innovative layout of the living areas and the owner’s apartment, which covers a surface of over 160 square meters and is filled with natural light that floods in through huge glazed surfaces around its perimeter.
“Metis”, an original and innovative 63 meters Full Custom yacht designed for a German owner, who was introduced by Kurt Lehmann of Yacht Moments, was launched today in Livorno. Yacht Moments – in their role as consultant – have been in charge of the project management during the whole building period.
“While every launch is the source of great pride for us, “Metis” represents something special: her owner, together with Yacht Moments, allows us to enhance our presence in the strategically important German market. As always, we are very pleased to act as spokespeople for ‘Made in Italy’ excellence worldwide,” said Franco Fusignani from the sidelines of the ceremony. The Benetti CEO reasserted the concept: “We’ve been able to maintain the higher level of quality that distinguish all of our yachts while satisfying all the client wishes, even the ones received during the building process like the customized 20 sqm gym on the Fly Deck”.
Fusignani’s comments were echoed by the owner of “Metis”: “Benetti has confirmed its international yacht building reputation for excellence in quality and reliability. The shipyard has successfully interpreted my desires and needs to perfection. I am particularly satisfied with the unique owner’s cabin, which represents the perfect example of customization and excellence”.
Built with a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure, “Metis” is a five deck yacht of 63 meters in length . The flowing exterior lines are designed by Benetti and Giorgio M. Cassetta Design , working in partnership. By designing very clean and soft volumes and enhancing the three-dimensionality through distinct surfaces, Cassetta wanted to realize the dynamic proportions of the yacht. Her character is defined by a long and vertical bow.
For the interiors, the London-based design firm Bannenberg & Rowell has introduced a new approach , heralding in an original asymmetrical layout. The beach club , the main saloon on the Main Deck and the lounge area on the Upper Deck are skewed 30 degrees with respect to “traditional” layouts, revealing new vantage points from which to admire the sea view. The result is a “modern style” yacht where bleached oak with leather inserts and carbon fiber are main elements. The interior decoration has been individually arranged and designed in cooperation with the German Designer Birgit Otte to create a luxury and fine living ambiance on board.
Another distinctive feature of “Metis” is the huge owner’s apartment , situated on the Upper Deck for total privacy. Extending over a surface of 162 square meters , it has an unprecedented panoramic view through the windows that surround virtually almost its entire perimeter and flood the area with light. In addition to the master cabin, the area dedicated to the owner includes two bathrooms with walk-in wardrobes and a spacious day area with sofa and television. The apartment also has a beautiful 55 sqm outdoor terrace and a touch and go helipad.
On the Main Deck, in addition to the saloon containing relaxation and dining areas, there is a customised children’s playroom, twin cabin and adjacent nanny suite, while on the Lower Deck are the four big guest cabins and accommodation for a crew of 12, plus the aft beach club. On the top Bridge Deck, the helm station and connected captain’s cabin are forward, while an outside lounge area aft is furnished with a dining table, a bar, a jacuzzi and a sun lounging area.

Yacht Moments is premium service provider and consultant for the construction of high-class yachts, worldwide Yacht Charter, Yacht Management and Yacht Sales.
Yacht Moments was established in 2010 by CEO/Chairman Kurt Lehmann – with more than 30 successful years in the yachting industry his priority is the conception/development, consulting and construction of custom built superyachts and megayachts as well as the interior design in in close cooperation with their famous designers and the most exclusive European shipyards and long-term partners in all relevant nautical segments like yacht naval architects, surveyors, lawyers, yacht registration and financing banks. Their aim is to offer to their client from the most exclusive brands the appropriate product for their particular needs.
Before and after delivery of the custom yacht, Yacht Moments also provides the yacht management like the recruitment of crew, all handling of budget and shore-side support Europe Wide and – in case of chartering – the charter management through their yacht charter department which disposes of a worldwide network and an impressive portfolio of beautiful, luxury megayachts in all sizes for an unforgettable charter experience.
As a matter of course, Yacht Moments is also the right partner for the purchase or the sale of second-hand yachts.
Official, exclusive representative of prestigious brands such as, Mondo marine, Baglietto, Cantieri di Pisa.
The interiors, designed by UK studio Bannenberg & Rowell, who worked in partnership with the Birgit Otte Interior Atelier, are designed in a modern style. The exteriors are the work of Giorgio M. Cassetta. The custom gym on the Fly Deck, the “touch and go” helipad and the over 160 sq. m owner’s apartment with two double beds and an outdoor terrace all contribute to make “Metis” a unique Benetti model.
“Metis” has been delivered to its owner in Livorno. She is a 63-meter long custom yacht with a very elaborated interior design. In his role as consultant to the owner, Kurt Lehmann of Yacht Moments has been in charge of the project management and praised Benetti for the great work that had characterized the entire “Metis” design and construction period: “Benetti confirmed once again its name as icon of timeless Italian style and excellence in megayacht construction. The highly skilled Benetti’s technicians and engineers and the artisans who worked for the shipyard have created an amazing yacht.
The dedication of everyone in communicating and exchanging views with the captain and owner was remarkable.” Yacht Moments have also been responsibly involved in the conception and development of this stylish custom superyacht project – always taking care of the completion of the owner’s ideas, demands and inspirations. Notably the additional upper gym-deck has been developed by Yacht Moments and perfectly realized by Benetti and Giorgio M. Cassetta
The exteriors are the result of the collaboration between Benetti and Giorgio M. Cassetta who, through a painstaking design, sought to maximise the dynamic proportions of a yacht that has an impressing long bow with vertical straight edge. “Metis is a modern and timeless yacht, which displays large volumes behind flowing lines and innovative features, such as the private deck. The design is simple, yet characteristic of Benetti,” said the Italian designer.
The interiors are the result of the collaboration between German studio Birgit Otte Interior, based in Wolfersdorf, and Bannenberg & Rowell, an English studio directed by Dickie Bannenberg and Simon Rowell. The London-based duo, famous for devising creative solutions based on bold shapes and geometric motifs, with an eye-catching design and a fine finish, were given a great deal of leeway in the design.
Dickie Bannenberg, who is thrilled with this project, commented: “Metis’ unique layout has freed us from what I call ‘the tyranny of alignment’, allowing us to unlock new corners and views of asymmetric designs. This approach in particular is reflected in the beach club, where the rooms are rotated by about 30° compared to traditional layouts and offer a new view over the sea through the transom and the side doors.
The novelty of this particular rotation also characterizes the main salon and the upper deck salon, challenging conventional expectations and perceptions.
The originality of “Metis” is also evident in the full-beam owner’s suite, which features a lounge and offers a breathtaking 180-degree view thanks to the full-height glazed surfaces on the private bow deck. The design of this room is based on a contemporary range of wood finishes using smoked oak, carbon and polished steel combined with calacatta and coffee brown marbles. The bold, geometric shapes can be found in the stainless steel bed frames, furniture and finishes. A private lounge is also available in the babysitting cabin, which has a terrace overlooking the sea.

This weekend Italian shipyard Rossinavi announced its highly-anticipated first launch of 2020, the 50m M/Y LEL. After only a remarkable two years under construction, the project hit the water at Rossinavi’s Pisa facility to widespread industry acclaim.
With a classic yet contemporary look, celebrated architecture firm Luca Dini have perfected the exterior and interior design on M/Y LEL, while the project was developed from start to finish by Kurt Lehmann, Chairman of Yacht Moments. Her sporty and sophisticated exterior is the epitome of the finest in Italian yacht design, while LEL’s interior socialising and entertaining spaces are demonstrative of the latest industry trends in design.
“The owner’s main request was to emphasise the open spaces to make the most of the open air and water, and I believe I achieved the objective because M/Y “LEL” is like an actual terrace overlooking the sea, un pied dans l’eau, where nature meets technology,” Luca Dini commented in a statement.
LEL’s aluminium superstructure means that her gross tonnage comes to less than 500GT, while the vessel will be capable of reaching speeds of up to 23 knots. The optimal use of volume in her internal spaces echoes that of a much larger superyacht, and LEL’s large beach club allows for ultimate interaction with and proximity to the sea.
Other notable features onboard Rossinavi’s latest flagship include her upper deck, where a serene dining area is fitted with a removable veranda for privacy and protection opens. LEL is a vessel for all seasons and conditions, with outdoor heating light, advanced air conditioning systems, and accessories including the very best in bar, sunbathing and relaxation spaces assuring that LEL can be taken anywhere, any time.
"The owner’s main request was to emphasise the open spaces to make the most of the open air and water." Luca Dini

Lürssen’s newest superyacht is a 269-foot tri-deck behemoth.
Picchiotti is embracing the future while nodding to the past with its new line.
Born out of a collaboration between Florence-based designer Luca Dini and Kurt Lehmann of Yacht Moments, the models include a 79-footer (24), 108-footer (33), 144-footer (44), and 180-footer (55). Each vessel evokes the silhouettes of the American yachts of the ‘60s with timeless classic lines. The hull and the superstructure will be made entirely of aluminum and showcase a nautical colorway of white and navy. There will be glossy mahogany details adorning the flanks and polished plating on the bow and stern.
The light and airy living quarters are devoid of the dark wood paneling typically found on vintage boats of this era. The spacious rooms showcase sleek, modern furniture, high-end materials and finishes, statement lights, and expansive windows. The layout will vary depending on the size of the model. The 24 will have between three and four cabins, the 33 and 44 will have five, and the 55 will have six.
A side corridor on the main deck allows seafarers to move seamlessly from bow to stern. At the stern, a spacious beach club opens directly on the sun deck via a large sliding glass door. There is also a spot to store a mini matching tender aft. At the opposite end lies a foredeck lounge and a small pool. The pool seems to be only available on the 24. The 24 is also the only model that will be available with an open aft.
Picchiotti has opted for the latest technology and engineering, too. The vessels can be equipped with either a hybrid or full-electric propulsion system to reduce pollution at sea.

Benetti has announced the sale of a custom 63-meter FB276 to a German owner, introduced by Kurt Lehmann of Yacht Moments.
The yacht consists of a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure. The exterior of the FB276 is the result of a joint effort between Benetti and Giorgio M. Cassetta Design, while the interior is by Bannenberg & Rowell. FB276 is a modern yacht characterised by extreme onboard liveability, which is achieved by meticulously optimising the generous interior volumes with respect to exterior spaces defined by simple, flowing lines. The defining feature of this yacht, located on the upper deck, is what can only be described as a spacious “apartment”. This offers the owner 162 m 2 of extreme privacy, including the owner’s cabin, which has large glazed surfaces on three sides, two bathrooms, a walk-in wardrobe and a separate living area with sofa and television. These are all connected with a bow cockpit combined with a 55 m 2 bow terrace complete with touch and go helipad. The privacy of the area is ensured during navigation as well, with the help of the “sun roof”, which is specially designed to block the view from the wheelhouse. The central stairway leads directly to the bridge deck and the third cockpit, which has a dining table seating 12, a bar, a jacuzzi and a sun lounging area. On the main deck, in addition to the saloon with living and dining areas, is the big full-beam VIP cabin with side terrace, studio, dressing room and double bathroom. The design of this yacht also features many other distinctive and innovative elements. They include the stern beach club, which is open on three sides, offering exceptional contact with the sea, when both of the two side doors and the stern door are open. A stairway from the cockpit on the main deck provides access to this living area during navigation. The large cockpit on the main deck is joined by another one on the upper deck.
The spaces available in the FB276 have allowed Bannenberg & Rowell to experiment, in particular with asymmetrical layouts. The new approach is clear to see in the beach club, which is rotated about 30 degrees off-centre to open up new perspectives of the sea, as well as in the main and upper deck saloons, which are turned through the same angle to challenge conventional expectations and perceptions. Likewise, the all-around owner’s suite has been designed to offer breath-taking panoramic views through the large windows over the private bow deck.
Christos Ramnialis , Benetti General Manager , commented: “ We are very proud of the recent sale of the FB276 to an owner from Germany, which is an extremely important strategic market for us. This is without a doubt the result of the internationally-recognised quality of our products and our consolidated financial solidity, which has allowed Benetti to win the trust of customers in all market segments and geographical areas”

The 27.62 metre motor yacht Minu, listed for sale by Kurt Lehmann at Yacht Moments, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Yacht Nation in Greece.
Minu was the 20th hull to be produced from Sanlorenzo ’s SD92 line when she was launched at the Italian builder’s Viareggio shipyard in Tuscany in September 2013.
The semi-displacement 27.6 metre yacht is characterised by the SD92’s refined lines, which recall in miniature the golden age of the transatlantic liners of the 1930s, mixed with a modern twist – a distinctive feature typical on the Sanlorenzo’s navetta-style motoryachts.
The GRP-constructed Minu was designed to accommodate up to eight guests in four cabins, comprising a master suite, VIP stateroom, and two twin cabins. A further two cabins can sleep up to four crewmembers.
When she was delivered in 2013, Minu had undergone a degree of customisation according to the wishes of her then German owner, who chose a fine and bright oak wood for the interiors, including the flooring, while the bathrooms were finished in precious white marble Calacatta with beige veins. Italian design firms such as Paola Lenti and Knol were commissioned for the outdoor decòr, and Minotti, Driade and Maxalato for the interiors.
Minu is powered by two 1,224hp MTU V10 2000 M72 diesel engines. She is capable of a top speed of 17 knots, and cruises at 15 knots. With her 12,300 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,660 nautical miles at 11 knots. Her water tanks store around 2,500 litres of fresh water.
Minu was asking €3,950,000 with tax paid.
