Rossinavi’s m/y seawolf x is a hybrid-electric ai catamaran.

For the first time, Rossinavi brings out a hybrid-electric catamaran named M/Y Seawolf X, powered by artificial intelligence . The Italian builder developed its own onboard artificial intelligence system called ‘Rossinavi AI’ which, as the company says, can learn from observation and predict the needs of the guests on board. It can help the crew members by advising them what to do to allow for conscious cruising and may lend a hand to the captain on what mode they should use in navigation or the current water situation.

The Rossinavi AI is believed to be able to monitor the hybrid-electric catamaran’s battery pack too, keeping it within the range of 20 and 80 percent so that its life can be extended. M/Y Seawolf X also prides itself on a long cruise, depending on the type of travel. On day trips, it can cruise in full electric mode. On multi-day trips, it can go on as an electric catamaran for 90 percent of the time, while 80 percent during transatlantic trips. When it goes into hibernation mode, it reduces its consumption to a minimum on its own.

Solar panels to generate green energy for cruising

Rossinavi’s first hybrid-electric catamaran, M/Y Seawolf X, also has solar panels, storing the energy captured from sunlight and returning it to the quay or private property where it is moored by powering or charging up equipment or even an entire villa. The hybrid-electric catamaran can be fully recharged at the shore power in only five hours. The water vehicle also comes with two diesel generators to quickly recharge the batteries. M/Y Seawolf X, and the other recent Rossinavi models, are propelled by batteries and solar panels that can operate in electric mode for day trips 100 percent of the time and sustain electric mode for 80 percent of the time on transatlantic voyages.

Rossinavi taps Fulvio de Simoni Yacht Design for the exterior design and New York-based practice Meyer Davis Studio for the interiors of its first hybrid-electric catamaran, M/Y Seawolf X. Outside, the vessel exudes the look of a sports car. To achieve the style, a sleek and low-profile silhouette is applied, creating an illusion of the two giant wheels with a hollow body below when the guests view the catamaran from its front or rear.

Outside, the vessel has a sloping design, with its full-aluminum structure curving to mimic gentle waves. Stepping inside, Meyer Davis plants outdoor living on the electric yacht, spanning three distinct areas: a cockpit centered around a pool, an expansive sundeck with sunbathing and living spaces, and a bow area featuring a hidden pool and a convertible home theater. As of publishing the story, M/Y Seawolf X is Rossinavi’s first hybrid-electric AI catamaran.

Pendennis announces arrival of 58m MY Seawolf for an extensive rebuild project

Pendennis confirmed this week the safe arrival of the 58m expedition yacht Seawolf to its UK headquarters in Falmouth, Cornwall for an extensive rebuild project. The 1956 classic motor yacht was towed from Holland and brought into the Pendennis non-tidal wet basin prior to her haul out later this month. Pendennis confirmed that her extensive programme of works will include new luxury guest and crew interiors, exterior styling modifications, extensive engineering and electrical work and a full repaint of the hull and superstructure. The Owners commented “We enjoyed cruising the Cornish coastline and visiting Pendennis in 2020 and are pleased to be returning to such a beautiful location and professional shipyard. We are looking forward to the project and working with the team from Pendennis”. Luxury motor yacht SEAWOLF is a full displacement steel-hulled 58m (193') expedition (explorer) yacht which was originally built in Holland by JK. SMIT, in 1957. In 2002 she underwent a full conversion to become a private motor yacht, and she has since been refitted further in 2006, 2012 and 2013. There is a grand main salon with a large flat screen TV with MX 3000 remote system and surrounds sound. Adjoining the main salon is also a formal dining area seating 12 guests. On her main deck aft, SEAWOLF offers covered alfresco dining for 12 guests as well casual seating and a 50” flat screen TV with surround sound. Her upper deck aft also has covered alfresco dining with two tables seating six guests each, and a 360ºswivel 50” Flat screen TV with surround sound. One of the yachts fantastic features is her 17’X 9’ swimming pool with resistance & Spa Pool jets.

Yacht Accommodation

Luxury motor yacht SEAWOLF can accommodate a total of 12 guests in 6 staterooms. The master suite which is located on the upper deck has a private salon with a large flat screen TV with a MX 3000 remote system and two zone surround sound. The master cabin not only has private dining for 4 guests but also a private galley. The bed is a huge Olympic queen which measures 80” by 60” and her ensuite bath with shower has his and hers sinks with a separate powder room. On the main deck there is a full beam VIP Suite with an Olympic Queen bed measuring 80” by 60”, an office area and an ensuite shower. The remaining guest rooms on the main deck consist of 2 European queens suites with beds measuring (78”x58”) d two twin cabins all with ensuite facilities and flat screen TV/DVD/CD.

Her tenders and toy selection includes a 23 ft (7.01 m) BWA with two 120hp twin diesel engines, a 19 ft (5.79 m) BWA with a 90hp outboard, a28' ketch sailboat Hereschoff to be skippered by a crewmember, two 2 man waverunners, two 2 man kayaks, extensive big-game fishing equipment, snorkelling gear, 2 wakeboards, water skis, an assortment of inflatable’s, dive equipment including 9 full sets with onboard compressor with unlimited air supply. Her communications include SKYPE, VIOP, VSAT, and Wifi areas throughout.

59m Explorer Yacht Seawolf Sold

The 58.83 metre explorer yacht Seawolf ,  listed for sale by Jody O’Brien at Fraser , has been sold in an in-house deal with the buyer introduced by Dennis Frederiksen.

Originally built by Holland’s J&K Smit yard in 1957 as an oceangoing tug, Seawolf was converted into a superyacht by Astilleros de Palma in Mallorca from 1998 to 2004 and further upgraded and converted in 2008 and 2010. In 2016 she had a further extensive maintenance and refit period, including a complete repaint and main engine rebuild, so that she is now ready to cruise anywhere in the world.

An ice strengthened hull and superior seakeeping qualities combine to produce a versatile go-anywhere luxury yacht, compliant with the most recent safety and technological standards.

Accommodation is for up to 13 guests in five well appointed cabins, including the privacy of a separate owners deck with a full beam cabin, office/study and pantry. Other guest cabins are configured as a VIP suite, a double and two twins and all cabins have entertainment centres, Samsung television screens and en suite bathroom facilities. A popular charter yacht, Seawolf is as much at home in the Western Mediterranean as the Southern Ocean.

Twin 1,500hp MAN diesel engines allow a cruising speed of ten knots, topping out at 13 knots, while 220,000 litre fuel tanks see her achieve a range of 9,600 nautical miles at 10 knots.

Seawolf was asking $9,900,000.

The 27.15m/89'1" expedition yacht 'Seawolf' (ex. Dutch Falcon) was built by Van der Valk in the Netherlands. Her interior is styled by Dutch designer design house Guido de Groot Design and she was completed in 2017. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Guido de Groot Design and she was last refitted in 2018.

Range & Performance

Seawolf is built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C12 ACERT) 390hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 11 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 13 knots with a range of up to 3,000 nautical miles from her 15,000 litre fuel tanks. Her low draft of 1.72m/5'8" makes her primed for accessing shallow areas and cruising close to the shorelines. Her water tanks store around 2,500 Litres of fresh water. She was built to Lloyds Register ✠ 100A1 SSC Yacht Mono G6 (hull) classification society rules.
