We also have thousands of questions about this boat and sailboats in general. This is our 1st boat, and we no nothing about sailing!

The 22 needs a full new coat of paint, possibly new gel coat on the deck, has no electronics, has a torn mainsail, needs new jibs, and has an older motor. When buying, don't let the low cost (sort of) fool you, most are worth twice as much, due to public misconception of "newer is better". There have been over 15,000 Catalina 22's sold and there is a well developed owners support group for this boat while the Columbia 22 is less well known because its' production run was just a little over 1500.
