Wish it was closer to Chicago best crap tables around not to crowded love it

The casino is very small. Very few "small change" slots -- many more $1 and $5 slots. They have banners proclaiming them the "best casino" by some survey or other. I assume that's in Illinois only, because the couple of Indiana casinos I've been to are more fun. The website says the casino is one block from the Elgin Metra stop -- be careful. They really mean the Elgin "National Street" Metra stop. If you instead get off at the Elgin stop, get ready for a nearly one mile walk to the casino. That was no fun in the snow. They had a nice looking little steak house on site, but we got bored at the casino so quickly that we didn't bother staying until dinner time. All-in-all, we won't return.

Hearing the call of the poker horn, I decided to check out the nearest poker room unfortunately in Elgin. The whole vibe was as expected on a monday morning.. light traffic and slots full of elderly women. I went there to play Texas Hold'em but I was waitlisted for 40 minutes, which meant blowing $40 on the poker machines. The staff of the poker room(in the basement...) acted somewhat indifferent to me, but were more friendly to the regulars. The vibe of the game was pretty laid back, and great if you enjoy conversations with retirees.. I didn't have the best luck but I will be back only because of the proximity.

Three stars is all you get from me the buffet was good the casino I think was not fun didn't like the atmosphere I felt like the drinks at the bar very watered down don't think that I'll be returning I think that I will go to the usual casino that I go to which is the newer one which is called the rivers Casino I'm not a big gambler I only go maybe once a year but that once a year that I do go I will be going to the usual place that I've been going ever since that I has turned 21 Maybe is was just not a good night like I said it was my first time there

Its a newer fresher Casino with some decent restaurant and bar options. A stage with live music at one end and a smaller slot and poker area downstairs with another bar. I do have to say the coffee is pretty good for being free. On a busy weekend its still easier to walk around compared to Rivers. The table minimums run around 10-15 for roulette. Not a bad spot to come to kill time and lose some cash.

BUFFET. I think I gained 20 lbs. Prime rib, crab legs, and chocolate fountain? I wish their dessert bar was bigger.

I've been to the buffet at the Grand Victoria and as far as buffet's go, I'd say it's one of the better ones. Large selection of fresh food with plenty of room to move around. THey are set up in a "stations" style with Italian in one area, Chinese in another, etc. They used to serve crab legs on Wednesday nights, not sure if they still do but it got pretty crowded at times.

Ehh. It seems like it has been under construction for a while. It seems soo small... maybe that is what they are fixing. As far as casinos are concerned, it has all the usual stuff. Dont even think about getting a drink from a waitress. There are probably 5 in the whole place. Its impossible. Also, there is only one bar. Its downstairs. Having a drink while you are there is too much of a hassle. Id like to just relax, and have a drink while I trow my money away. This place doesn't allow that. The buffet and the burger restaurant is pretty good. If I lived closer, I would go for dinner. I think they really need to make this place more enjoyable. They really need to spiff this place up! Instead, we will just go to Rivers in Rosemont, it may also be small as well, but at least the drinks are plentiful and its fun.

Upon signing up with thier players club I got a free duffle bag. And I won on thier roulette... This casino had about two floors, tables, slots, pretty crowded but as long as I came up I was a happy camper!

I wrote a previous review under the buffet section. This review is about my visit to Indulge, which is the new remodeled buffet at the casino. The décor inside is very pretty for special gatherings. All of the food was terrible. I will start clock wise. Desserts very dry and stale. The gelato is highly sweetened flavorless frozen half n half. Chinese station, sure you can build your own stir fry. The veggies have no taste. It reminds me of a restaurant I was once at that got all their veggies from China. Cheap, flavorless. Brazillian Food is over salted. Let me just sum it up with all the food. If you have high blood pressure or you don't want to have it, don't eat there. All meats rubbery. Pasta rubbery. Pizza oven station was fair and yet again flavorless. I saw many people complaining and leaving full plates behind. Here are the problems. 1) Poor cheap quality of food made to look pretty 2) Salad in glasses ! Please ! I can image if a senior or a child drops that. How to you carry that back to your table ? 3) Salty 4) Meats such as Chickens and Beef worse quality. I think they should have left the buffet décor the way it was, and invested in buying better quality food. I can't say it's the cooking. I am sure the cooks are trying their best but you can't cook garbage no matter how delicious your sauce is. I actually paid to go there. Yet I saw people with points sitting down taking a plate and leaving in 5 minutes. If you have points and can eat there free, then you can't complain because it is what free food would taste like. If you have money and you have to eat there, You would be better off eating in the Prime Burger restaurant there. Much better food .
