Security deposit

A security deposit hold (not a charge) will be placed on your credit card 48 hours before your booking starts to cover any incidental damage that may occur during your rental. This hold is released 48 hours after the booking is complete, if no claims are made. The security deposit amount for the boat you are booking will be outlined during the check-out process.

Captain info

If requested, the owner can provide a list of available captains for bareboat charter or the renter can use their own qualified captain. If the boat is being time chartered, the owner will provide the Captain.

Hammered vs. Smooth Copper Mugs – Which is better?

The original copper mug is hand-crafted with a hammered finish. The textured finish assists in the distribution of heat and air around the beverage, enhancing the flavor and preserving the temperature of your drink. Meanwhile, smooth copper mugs have a greater heat conductivity than their hammered counterparts, and tend to be less effective at keeping drinks insulated.

Why is Copper Hammered?

The tradition of hammering copper is a metalworking tactic used for generations to strengthen the surface area of copper sheets, even before the metal material was used to craft mugs. A ball peen hammer is typically used to form the indentations in hammered copper before the sheet is manipulated into its desired shape. Coppersmiths complete this process with minimal force, allowing the weight of the hammer to give only enough force that the surface of the copper sheet becomes textured without damaging or thinning the original material.

Copper is also hammered for aesthetic purposes. Over time, pure copper can begin to naturally oxidize in its environment, creating a copper patina. Patina is typically a green or brown film on the surface of copper, bronze or other similar metals. The additional depth and dimension created by hammering the surface of copper makes patina less obvious as it begins to appear.

Is Hammered Copper Better than Smooth?

The short answer is yes . Hammered copper is generally more functional than smooth copper when it comes to insulating beverages and maintaining the quality and appearance of the material.

However, neither hammered copper nor smooth warrants a better tasting Moscow Mule (or any other beverage, for that matter.) Some may even lean toward the smooth copper mug aesthetic for a more crisp, modern look. And while the smooth copper finish may be more susceptible to patina, the aged, antique look may just be the character that your barware set was missing. Ultimately, the choice between hammered copper and smooth all depends on personal preference.

Designed by the iconic British shipyard in 2009, this sleek 37m yacht was hand-finished at their state-of-the-art facilities in the UK. Guest Capacity

Spacious and comfortable, SULLIVAN’S ISLAND can accommodate up to 10 guests overnight in her 5 staterooms. On the main deck, the beautifully-styled master suite has a calm, relaxing vibe. This luxurious cabin is equipped with a king-size bed and a spa-inspired bathroom. Large windows fill the space with light and offer stunning views while cruising.

Four contemporary guest cabins are located on the lower deck of the yacht. Designed for family and friends, the guest accommodation includes 2 double suites and 2 twin rooms. Each of the guest cabins has an en-suite bathroom plus access to a Kaleidescape on-demand movie server for 24/7 entertainment. 

SULLIVAN’S ISLAND also has onboard accommodation for 7 highly trained crew members who are there to ensure every little detail is taken care of.

Modern and sophisticated, SULLIVAN’S ISLAND elegant interior was styled by Sunseeker’s in-house design team. Featuring polished wood furnishings and a neutral colour scheme, the open-plan living space has a timeless feel. Welcome to the ultimate private clubhouse.

A large saloon on the main deck leads into a formal dining area for 10 people. On the upper deck, a sky lounge with a full entertainment system offers guests panoramic views of the ocean. Enjoy a bottle from the bespoke wine cellar in the upper bar or warm your tired muscles in the sauna, SULLIVAN’S ISLAND has endless relaxation possibilities.

Designed by Sunseeker with Don Shead developing the naval architecture, SULLIVAN’S ISLAND is a blend of ultra-modern technology and classic design. Her vast exterior was created as an outdoor living space with several lounge areas. The upper deck is perfectly set up for al fresco dining thanks to a large bar and BBQ area. Sun pads and loungers surround the outdoor Jacuzzi and a second outdoor dining space can be found on the aft deck.

Luxury yacht Ferretti 530 was very keen to undertake in collaboration once again with AYT – Advanced Yacht Technology, Ferretti Group Engineering Division and Studio Zuccon International Project . The compact dimensions, 16 meters long and almost 5 meters wide, allow the 530 yacht to deliver grand Italian luxury and cruising immersed in such comfort until now unheard of in a yacht of this size.

Ferretti 530 yacht boasts three revolutionary innovations: the full beam master cabin with chaise longue and two large open view windows that make it a real suite at sea level bathed in light, tones and the natural essences of teak. Moving the galley from the center to the aft section creates a unique open space that includes the saloon, galley, cocktail bar and the dining area, the cockpit area continues thanks to the tilting window.
