Something Wonderful is a crewed Leopard 58 catamaran available for charter in the Caribbean, accommodating up to 8 passengers.

The yacht's expansive flybridge with seating for up to 10 people is a highlight that sets her apart from similar length catamarans. The flybridge is perfect for meals, lounging and taking in beautiful panoramic views of the Caribbean.

Something Wonderful has a spacious aft cockpit as well as a covered forward cockpit offering plenty of additional space for alfresco dining or lounging. To enhance durability and beauty the flybridge, the aft deck and forward cockpit are all covered in TekDek, a lightweight high impact simulated teak.

The full-width Master suite has a king size bed, en-suite bathroom and an office study. The study and bedroom can be closed off from each other.

Each of the additional three guest cabins have en-suite bathrooms with the option of three queen or two queen plus one twin bed layouts. Something Wonderful is air conditioned throughout.

We have been blessed to share the last 12 years of our lives working together as a team on the open water. Our way of life has led us through many adventures in some amazing parts of the world! All of this has bought about a very good balance of responsible tourism whilst having a great time enjoying the splendor of nature.

We are very professional in our work but at the same time create a homely feeling wherever we sail. You’ll arrive as our guests and leave as our friends. We can’t wait to start making long lasting memories together!

Ahoy! My name is Michael, better known as Mike. I am a qualified yachtmaster and rescue diver with 3 decades of experience working on the ocean. Navigating several long ocean passages has allowed me to travel and experience many beautiful areas across the globe. I chose the ocean as my home because I get to experience nature at its fullest. This lifestyle brings me great peace and joy. When I’m not sailing, I am passionate about surfing, SUPing, paragliding, fishing and photography. I love being a part of the underwater world and sharing my life onboard with like minded folks. I’m looking forward to meeting you all soon and sharing this voyage together. ..read more

Hi, my name is Marie and I am currently 1st mate/chef on a 58-foot catamaran.

I am originally from the United Kingdom. My background is in hospitality, which has led me over the years to various countries to live and to work. I have been fortunate enough to have spent over a decade in the Indian ocean working as a chef/hostess.

I love travel and cuisine, so being able to combine the two together as part of my job has been an absolute dream. I look forward to sharing these passions along with my love of surfing, yoga, and the ocean with you all very soon.

Great family time. The boat was even nicer in person than online. It is very spacious. Has plenty of space to get sun if that's what you want or shade if you prefer. The fly bridge is incredible. Gives you so much extra room to lounge around. The color scheme is very soothing. It is super well-kept and clean.

Paul and Bella are incredibly professional, friendly, attentive and accommodating. They made our vacation memorable from start to finish. Paul is very knowledgeable of the islands. We loved everywhere he suggested we try. Bella is an incredibly talented chef. Every meal was amazing. We looked forward eagerly to each one and to this day have a hard time picking our favorite. If we were to return to the BVI's again we would without hesitation book Something Wonderful. My suggestion to anyone looking to charter. Look no further. Book this boat ASAP. You will not regret it.

Among the many intriguing features of the Leopard 58, the expansive flybridge with seating for up to 10 people is one of the most exciting. This large flybridge is perfect for meals, lounging, and taking in beautiful panoramic views. The large open aft deck and forward cockpit offer ample space for alfresco dining or lounging. To enhance durability and beauty, the flybridge, the aft deck and forward cockpit are all covered in TekDek, a lightweight high impact simulated teak. SOMETHING WONDERFUL accommodates 8 guests in 4 cabins. The full-width Master suite has a queen size bed, bath with shower and toilet and a study. The study and bedroom can be closed off from each other or open. Three guest cabins have queen-sized beds, en suite bathrooms and plenty of closet space. As an option, a Twin berth guest suite may be substituted for one of the queen cabins.

Our time with Kayla and Morne on Something Wonderful was nothing short of perfection! We had a fabulous, relaxing vacation and would repeat it again any time. The food prepared by Kayla was definitely ahighlight of the trip. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were always perfectly prepared and presented, and was some of the best food we´ve evereaten. Morne was a fantastic captain, answering our endless questions about where, when, how, etc. in regards to the boat and the geography. He also made the best afternoon cocktails for us each day. If you are thinking about booking with these fine people, do it now. You won´t regret it! John & Tracy

The absolute best part of this trip was not the crystal clear water, or beautiful sunsets, or the scenic views from all directions or spacious boat and rooms and terrific food. By far the most wonderful part of our trip was the crew. It was more like we were on a family members boat than a crewed boat. The service was top notch. The food that came from the hand of Kayla was something you would expect at a 5 star restaurant. There was not one occasion we felt unsafe with our captain at the helm. Safety was a top priority and he is obviously a professional captain with many hours, years, under his belt. We arrived as strangers but left with three more members of our family. The first mate was everywhere when we needed him and predicted our needs before we knew we needed them. Water toys were awesome and way more than expected. The crews knowledge of the area was very helpful and interesting. The boat was way above expectations. So much room for all 8 of our group and the 3 crew members. Jason

We just returned from a 7 day charter in the BVI. We were a group of 4 couples and it was a first experience for all of us, so we really did not know what to except. We choose the Catamaran ´Something Wonderful´ ... as we boarded we discovered the first problem! The name of this beauty should have been ´Something Extraordinarily Wonderful!´ Then we met the Crew. We were welcomed with such grace and refinement by each of them. They instantly made us feel at home. Each one were truly professional and passionate about their careers, but more so they became a part of the family and we learned a great deal from their expertise´s. The captain was amazing. We knew how seriously he took his responsibility and we always felt safe and in good hands. He plotted a journey that all 8 of us embraced as our best vacation ever. He educated us about this beautiful BVI and each port was unique and special. The chef wowed us everyday with new, fresh and exquisite cuisine. She too provided us a culinary experience we will never forget.. all the while handling this task with ease and such character. The crew worked tirelessly - each sharing in the daily workings of the boat - and we could not help notice the level of discretion. The crew truly made our experience one we shall always cherish and hope to do again. All of that coupled with what we all thought was to be the most fabulous catamaran. The color scheme was gorgeous, perfectly design in function , amble space and of course we felt the fly bridge was perfect! Every inch of that boat was spectacular! We have all decided after this glorious trip... that when choosing the next charter ... we felt it truly came down to The Crew! We would not want to set sail without this crew! December 20 - 27, 2014. Three generation family charter in the BVI

Dear SOMETHING WONDERFUL crew, What an amazing Christmas week and an honor to be your first guests! The memories we all made this week will last a lifetime. Graeme, Lauren and Zayne all went above and beyond to ensure we were fully pampered and happy every minute. They were always ready to do anything from getting movie night set up, water sports with the kids, running us into beach bars, serving yummy drinks of the day (Z Island Rum Punch) and on and on . . . . They helped us make some extra special memories that we will cherish, while getting photos of the whole week so we can take them home. Something Wonderful REALLY was just that and we can´t wait to spend our next time with these wonderful people on this absolutely perfect boat! Sailing is the one thing where the love for all comes together and you get to experience the untouched hidden beauty of life. We strive for professionalism but at the same time give a home like feeling wherever we sail. It is not always the place that you call home but the people. Your Skipper: Morne Botha Qualified RYA Offshore sailor and certified cruising instructor. Currently captain of a 60 ft sailing catamaran doing all inclusive luxury charters. Boat builder with Two Atlantic crossings, Navigating the whole South African coast as the beginning of my career and two skipper positions in Croatia as skipper and host. I have a passion for sailing, surfing, diving, rock climbing, playing guitar, hiking and anything to do with adventure. I love meeting new people, cooking and building relationships while sharing my passion with them. Your Hostess: Kayla Olivia Beecher Qualified hostess and stewardess with a BA degree in health sciences and social services psychology. Currently Chef/ First Mate on a 60ft sailing catamaran, with experience in the restaurant industry, au pairing, admin, customer service and relationship building. With a love for the Ocean and a drive to inspire children and adults to reach their dreams and claim happiness. Life on the water is vastly different to everyday life on land and I would love to let others experience this and break away from their fears and normal ways. I would love to help children sail who are underprivileged or terminally ill and thus grow to give back to others and enable them the experience the beauty of our world. We would be honored to share our love and passion with the opportunity as skipper and hostess. We believe that our presence will not just aid to the success of the company but also be responsible for great guest/crew relationships and keep clients coming back for an unforgettable experience. The adjoining study and bedroom can be open or closed off from each other. On family charters a blow-up mattress bed for a child can be made up in the office.<br /> <br /> Two guest cabins have queen size beds and en suite baths with a shower and toilet. One guest cabin has two twins and an en suite bath with a shower and toilet. The addition of a filler mattress makes one large bed in this cabin. <br /> <br /> The crew occupies the stbd aft queen cabin which is slightly smaller than the other guest cabins. Ahoy! My name is Michael, better known as Mike. I am a qualified yachtmaster and rescue diver with 3 decades of experience working on the ocean. Navigating several long ocean passages has allowed me to travel and experience many beautiful areas across the globe. I chose the ocean as my home because I get to experience nature at its fullest. This lifestyle brings me great peace and joy. When I’m not sailing, I am passionate about surfing, SUPing, paragliding, fishing and photography. I am originally from the United Kingdom. My background is in hospitality, which has led me over the years to various countries to live and to work. I have been fortunate enough to have spent over a decade in the Indian ocean working as a chef/hostess.

I love travel and cuisine, so being able to combine the two together as part of my job has been an absolute dream. Cooking for guest brings me immense joy, and I take great pride in creating meals that not only satisfy your hunger but also delight your senses. Every bite is a testament to the dedication and care I pour into my culinary creations. PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS (“ Terms ”) CAREFULLY AS THEY CONTAIN IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, REMEDIES AND OBLIGATIONS AS WELL AS A SECTION GOVERNING THE JURISDICTION AND VENUE OF DISPUTES. THESE TERMS ALSO CONTAIN A LEGALLY BINDING RELEASE, WAIVER OF LIABILITY, AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK. By creating a username, a login, clicking submit, using the services of Charter Experts, LLC d/b/a Virgin Island Sailing® (“ Broker ) or by accessing Broker’s website, you agree that you have read, and acknowledge your acceptance of these Terms. The Terms are subject to change at any time without notice at Broker’s sole discretion. Additionally, any transaction for which you have made payment shall be governed by the form of Terms in effect at the time of such payment notwithstanding any subsequent changes hereto.

If you are obtaining a quote, information, booking travel for and/or securing or procuring a Charter (as that term is defined in Section 1 below) for more than just yourself, all references below to “Charterer” or “you” (and derivations thereof) shall be read to mean you on behalf of yourself and each individual within your group for whom you are obtaining a quote, information, booking travel for and/or securing or procuring Charter.

These Terms shall be read together and construed, to the fullest extent possible, to be in concert with any other agreement by or among Broker and Charterer. To the extent they cannot be so construed, then in the event of any direct conflict between these Terms and any other agreement by or among Broker and Charterer (including but not limited to the agreement executed by Charterer for a Charter Reservation (as that term is defined in Section 1 below), these Terms shall prevail.

• Prepaid Charter Reservations . Typically, Broker negotiates charter rates in advance with the yacht owner or charter company (“ Charter Provider ”) to obtain cost-effective rates, and facilitate reservations and availability for yacht charters, excursions and travel (the “ Charter ”). Broker also provides services to you by facilitating the booking of reservations for consideration and receives a commission from the Charter Provider (the “ Broker Fee ”). The Broker Fee is included in the pre-negotiated Charter rate provided to you, plus taxes and other fees where applicable. You agree that your payment is for the total amount set forth in the applicable Charter agreement (which Charter Provider may refer to as a Charter Contract, Charter Agreement, Booking Terms & Conditions, Instructions and Terms for Accommodations, as well as other derivations) provided to you by Broker (“ Charter Agreement ”). Upon execution of the Charter Agreement and receipt of the applicable deposit, you will have made a reservation for the Charter that authorizes Broker to facilitate the Charter on your behalf (“Charter Reservation”), including making payment arrangements with the Charter Provider. You further agree that Broker is a third-party beneficiary to the Charter Agreement and shall have the right to enforce such agreement to the extent it deems such enforcement necessary or advisable to protect its rights hereunder or under the Charter Agreement.

  Broker retains the Broker Fee as compensation in arranging your Charter Reservation. The Broker Fee varies based on the amount and type of Charter and/or services provided by Broker.  By making a Charter Reservation, you accept and agree to the relevant cancellation and no-show policy of the Charter Provider set forth in the Charter Agreement. Cancellation and no-show policies vary for each Charter. Carefully read the Charter Agreement and additional information provided to you by Broker. It is expressly agreed by Charterer that the Broker Fee is earned at the time the Charter Reservation is made. Late payment, wrong credit card or debit card details, invalid credit or debit cards, or insufficient funds are for your own risk and account, and you will not be entitled to any refund of any prepaid amount unless the Charter Provider expressly agrees otherwise under the Charter Agreement or in some other signed writing.

• Charter Rules and Restrictions . Additional terms and agreements will apply to your Charter Reservation and any purchase or rental of equipment or other items, supplies, provisions and travel you may select. Please read those additional terms carefully. In particular, if you have purchased airfare, please ensure that you read the full terms and conditions of carriage issued by the supplier. You agree to abide by the terms of purchase imposed by any supplier with whom you elect to deal, including but not limited to payment of all amounts when due and compliance with the supplier’s rules and restrictions regarding availability, charges, fares, and use of products and services.
• Payment . All payments must be made by personal check, bank/wire transfer, ACH payment and/or with a major credit card unless otherwise expressly stated. The total price for the Charter Reservation will be billed in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise stated. Some banks and credit card companies impose fees for international transactions. If you are making a reservation from outside of the United States on a US credit card, your bank may convert the payment amount to your local currency and charge you a conversion fee. This means the amount listed on your credit or bank card statement may be in your local currency and therefore a different figure than the amount provided by Broker for the Charter Reservation. In addition, a foreign transaction fee may be assessed if the financial institution that issued your credit card is located outside of the United States. Booking international travel may be considered to be an international transaction by the financial institution or card company. The currency exchange rate and foreign transaction fee is determined solely by your financial institution on the day that it processes the transaction. If you have any questions about these fees or the exchange rate applied to your booking, please contact your financial institution. Broker shall not be liable to you for any such service, conversion, or exchange fee.

  Broker expressly reserves the right to cancel your Charter Reservation if full payment is not timely received as set forth in the Charter Agreement.

• Cancellation and Rescheduling . You may cancel or change your Charter Reservation as set forth in the Charter Agreement by and among you, the Charter Provider and/or Broker. Please note that some Charter Providers do not permit changes to or cancellation of reservations after they are made, or after a certain date, as indicated in the Charter Agreement. You agree to abide by the terms of the Charter Agreement with respect to your Charter Reservation. Broker will not be responsible for reimbursing Charterer for any previously tendered deposits or payments by Charterer and disclaims all liability for the failure of a Charter Provider to refund or return any such funds.
• Credit Card Transactions and Chargebacks . If for any reason, any Charter Provider is unable to provide the Charter, or any part thereof, for which you have contracted, your remedy lies against the Charter Provider, and not against Broker. However, Broker will use reasonable efforts to assist you and Charter Provider in reaching a resolution to a dispute between you and the Charter Provider. In the event that your payment has already been transferred from Broker to Charter Provider or to an escrow account, you agree that you will not seek a chargeback against Broker for such amounts transferred. You further agree to indemnify and hold Broker harmless from and against any liability, loss, damage or expense (including without limitation, reasonable attorneys’ fees) that Broker may incur in connection with chargebacks against Broker or under the Charter Agreement and your performance thereunder. If Broker incurs any costs, including but not limited to attorneys’ fees, to recover any payments charged back by your credit card company or other financial institution, you agree that you will be liable for these costs. If your payment is declined for any reason, you agree to settle any amounts owed to Broker via money order, cashier’s check, personal check or bank/ACH transfer immediately.
• Broker Responsibility . Broker makes arrangements with the Charter Provider. Broker additionally makes additional arrangements with other suppliers for the various components and other services that comprise your Charter (“Charter Suppliers”). Broker is not an agent of these Charter Providers or the Charter Suppliers (and the Charter Providers and Charter Suppliers are not agents of Broker). Broker expressly disclaims any liability for the actions or omissions of the Charter Provider and the Charter Suppliers. The Charter Providers and the Charter Suppliers reserve the right to refuse service to you at their sole discretion. Broker assumes no liability for the acts of the Charter Provider or the Charter Suppliers in refusing service. Broker is not responsible for schedule changes and does not offer compensation for those changes. Broker is not responsible under any circumstances for any injury or damages you may suffer, in connection with sea, air or ground transportation, hotel accommodations, or other travel or excursion services arranged by Broker.

  You understand Broker is not the source or supplier of the Charter or other travel services you requested and acts solely as a broker for the Charter Provider and the Charter Suppliers. You agree that the Charter Provider and Charter Suppliers whose names appear in the information supplied to you are those who are solely responsible for providing the Charter you purchase. You consent to and request the use of the Charter Provider and the Charter Suppliers and agree to not hold Broker responsible should any of them: (i) fail to provide the Charter or travel services you purchased, whether or not such services are listed in the Charter Agreement or otherwise, (ii) fail to comply with any applicable law, or (iii) engage in any negligent act or omission that causes you any sort of injury, damage, delay or inconvenience.

By using Broker’s services, you waive and release any claim against Broker, its affiliated and subsidiary companies, and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents, arising out of or in connection with any loss of or damage to property or injury to any person caused by reason of (i) any defect, negligence, or other wrongful act or omission, or any failure of performance of any kind, by any Charter Provider, Charter Suppliers, or any other provider of sea, airline, hotel, ground transportation or any other travel provider connected to or otherwise associated with the Charter, (ii) any claim for inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, mental distress or other similar claim, (iii) any delayed departure, missed connection, substitute accommodation, termination of service or change in fares or rates, and (iv) overbooking, flight or other travel cancellation, lost or misconnected personal property, or any claim arising out of the air transportation portion of your travel, and (v) or any other claim arising out of or otherwise related to the Charter Agreement or services provided by the Charter Provider and the Charter Suppliers.

Excepting only liability that directly arises from the gross negligence or willful misconduct of Broker, you will not hold Broker responsible for any injury, damage or loss you may suffer while on a Charter, whether incurred on the Charter or in connection with any other rental, purchase, excursion or activity, regardless of the relationship of any of the foregoing with the Charter Provider or the Charter Suppliers.

• Your Responsibility . By booking a Charter with Broker, you agree to defend and indemnify and hold harmless Broker, Charter Provider, Charter Suppliers, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees and agents, from and against any and all claims, causes of action, demands, recoveries, losses, damages, fines, penalties or other costs or expenses of any kind or nature, including but not limited to reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in connection with: (i) your breach of these Terms or the documents referenced herein; (ii) your violation of any law or rights of a third party; or (iii) your use of the Broker website.

You will review your Charter Agreement and travel documents for accuracy upon receipt. You understand that it is your responsibility to review the accuracy of all details in the Charter Reservation provided to you, and that you may contact Broker if you have any questions.

You assume full and complete responsibility for checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of your destination(s), and all conditions regarding health, safety, security, political stability, and labor or civil unrest at such destination(s).

You understand that Broker recommends purchasing travel insurance to cover certain risks inherent in travel such as supplier bankruptcy and the inability to travel due to a medical or personal emergency.

• No Warranties . All Charters, products, services, advice and information is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied to the fullest extent permitted under the law, including but not limited to, warranties of title or implied warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality or fitness for a particular purpose. Without limiting the above, no warranty or guarantee is made (i) regarding the acceptance of any reservation request or Charter Reservation; (ii) regarding the availability of Charters, or any other product and/or services through Broker; (iii) that the use of Broker’s website will be error-free; or (iv) regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability or quality of any information, content, data, service, advice or merchandise provided by Broker or through Broker’s website.

Broker has no special knowledge regarding the Charter Provider’s or Charter Supplier’s financial condition, unsafe conditions, health hazards, weather hazards, or climate extremes at locations to which you may travel during or otherwise in connection with your Charter.

• Limitation on Liability . In no event shall Broker, Charter Provider, Charter Suppliers, and/or their respective affiliates, or any employees, agents, officers, directors, members or managers of any of the foregoing (“Broker and Charter Releasees”), be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of, or in any way connected with, your access to, display of or use the Broker’s website, the Charter or services provided to you in connection with the Charter (including, but not limited to, your reliance upon opinions of the Broker), whether based on a theory of negligence, contract, tort, strict liability, consumer protection statutes, or otherwise, and even if Broker and/or any other of the Broker and Charter Releasees have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

If, despite the limitation above, Broker or the Broker and Charter Releasees are found liable for any loss or damage which arises out of or in any way connected with any of the occurrences described above, then Broker, Charter Provider, Charter Supplier and the Broker and Charter Releasees will in no event exceed, in the aggregate, the greater of (a) the Broker Fee, and (b) One-Hundred Dollars (US $100.00).

The foregoing limitation of liability reflects the allocation of risk between the parties. The limitations specified in this section will survive and apply even if any limited remedy specified in these Terms is found to have failed of its essential purpose. The limitations of liability provided in these Terms inure to the benefit of Broker and/or its providers.

The foregoing does not affect any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

• Limitation on Time to File Claims . ANY CAUSE OF ACTION OR CLAIM YOU MAY HAVE ARISING OUT OF RELATING TO BROKER’S SERVICES OR THE WEBSITE MUST BE COMMENCED WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR AFTER THE CAUSE OF ACTION ACCRUES, OTHERWISE, SUCH CAUSE OF ACTION OR CLAIM IS PERMANENTLY BARRED.
• Waiver . No waiver by Broker of any term or condition set forth in these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or condition or a waiver of any other term or condition, and any failure of the Broker to assert a right or provision under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
• Severability . If any provision of these Terms is held by a court or other tribunal of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be eliminated or limited to the minimum extent such that the remaining provisions of the Terms will continue in full force and effect.
• Governing Law and Mandatory Venue . The laws of the State of Florida govern the rights and obligations of the parties to this Agreement and the interpretation, construction and enforceability thereof. You agree that any action or proceeding initiated by Charterer against Broker shall be brought solely in the federal and state courts of Hillsborough County, Florida, and you submit to the jurisdiction of those courts and waive any objections to the exercise of personal jurisdiction over you by those courts. In the event any action or proceeding is initiated by Charterer in a court outside of Hillsborough County, Florida, Charterer agrees to pay Broker’s costs and reasonable attorneys’ fees associated with defending such action or proceeding and waives any and all defenses to the transfer of said action or proceeding, whether jurisdictional or otherwise, to a federal or state court in Hillsborough County, Florida.

Introducing Something Wonderful a 58ft Catamaran. SOMETHING WONDERFUL accommodates 8 guests in 4 cabins.  There is a  full-width Master suite with a king size bed, bath with shower and toilet and a study. The study and bedroom can be closed off from each other or open. Three guest cabins have queen-sized beds with en suite bathrooms and plenty of closet space. As an option, a Twin berth guest suite may be substituted for one of the queen cabins.  On family charters a blow-up mattress bed for a child can be made up in the office.

The crew occupies the stbd aft queen cabin which is slightly smaller than the other guest cabins. By prior arrangement, the crew will move to the twin cabin and make the aft queen available to guests.

SOMETHING WONDERFUL is fully air conditioned throughout, and has 8′ headroom in the salon and master cabin.

Charter Information

All rates are for the entire boat and are subject to change without notice prior to actual reservation, Charter Fee does not include a customary gratuity in the amount of 15-20% of the total charter fee payable to a deserving Captain and Crew upon the completion of a successful charter, All guests over 18 yrs wishing to fish in BVI must purchase a BVI license prior to boarding ask us for information, Marina dockage if applicable upon the request of the charter guests is not included, Fine wines champagnes and top shelf liquors are not included and can be purchased upon request of the charter guests at their expense, Hurricane Season is from 1st June to end of November and it is imperative that all guests purchase trip insurance. Yacht's are not responsible for clients shore side expenses if charter cancelled for named storm (this includes meals hotels transportation as well as air transport) Most yachts will allow client to rebook unused dates within 6 months of cancellation (excluding holidays).

Captain Morné Botha & Chef /1st Mate Kayla Beecher are both from South African Morne Botha and Kayla Olivia Beecher “For us, it’s not just a job but a way of life. It is a chance to finally just shut your brain off and live within the moment. And for as long as we are able, we will sail until the day we die... “

We are a couple passionate about sailing and the ocean, nature, animals, people, love, compassion and living life to the fullest. We are driven to inspire growth that goes hand in hand with change, to bring people together, create life changing experiences and show humanity a side of life that has been forgotten by society. Sailing is the one thing where the love for all comes together and you get to experience the untouched hidden beauty of life. We strive for professionalism but at the same time give a home like feeling wherever we sail. It is not always the place that you call home but the people.

Your Skipper: Morne Botha Qualified RYA Offshore sailor and certified cruising instructor. Currently captain of a 60 ft sailing catamaran doing all inclusive luxury charters. Boat builder with Two Atlantic crossings, Navigating the whole South African coast as the beginning of my career and two skipper positions in Croatia as skipper and host. I have a passion for sailing, surfing, diving, rock climbing, playing guitar, hiking and anything to do with adventure. I love meeting new people, cooking and building relationships while sharing my passion with them.

Your Hostess: Kayla Olivia Beecher Qualified hostess and stewardess with a BA degree in health sciences and social services psychology. Currently Chef/ First Mate on a 60ft sailing catamaran, with experience in the restaurant industry, au pairing, admin, customer service and relationship building. With a love for the Ocean and a drive to inspire children and adults to reach their dreams and claim happiness. Life on the water is vastly different to everyday life on land and I would love to let others experience this and break away from their fears and normal ways. I would love to help children sail who are underprivileged or terminally ill and thus grow to give back to others and enable them the experience the beauty of our world. We would be honored to share our love and passion with the opportunity as skipper and hostess. We believe that our presence will not just aid to the success of the company but also be responsible for great guest/crew relationships and keep clients coming back for an unforgettable experience.

We were a group of 4 couples and it was a first experience for all of us, so we really did not know what to except. We choose the Catamaran “Something Wonderful” … as we boarded we discovered the first problem! The name of this beauty should have been “Something Extraordinarily Wonderful!” Then we met the Crew. We were welcomed with such grace and refinement by each of them. They instantly made us feel at home. Each one were truly professional and passionate about their careers, but more so they became a part of the family and we learned a great deal from their expertise’s. The captain was amazing. We knew how seriously he took his responsibility and we always felt safe and in good hands. He plotted a journey that all 8 of us embraced as our best vacation ever. He educated us about this beautiful BVI and each port was unique and special. The chef wowed us everyday with new, fresh and exquisite cuisine. She too provided us a culinary experience we will never forget.. all the while handling this task with ease and such character. The crew worked tirelessly – each sharing in the daily workings of the boat – and we could not help notice the level of discretion. The crew truly made our experience one we shall always cherish and hope to do again. All of that coupled with what we all thought was to be the most fabulous catamaran. December 20 ? 27, 2014. Three generation family charter in the BVI Dear SOMETHING WONDERFUL crew, What an amazing Christmas week and an honor to be your first guests! The memories we all made this week will last a lifetime.   Graeme, Lauren and Zayne all went above and beyond to ensure we were fully pampered and happy every minute. They were always ready to do anything from getting movie night set up, water sports with the kids, running us into beach bars, serving yummy drinks of the day (Z Island Rum Punch) and on and on . . . . They helped us make some extra special memories that we will cherish, while getting photos of the whole week so we can take them home.

SOMETHING WONDERFUL has a large flybridge with seats for ten passengers where they may enjoy panoramic views whether sailing or relaxing. The crew can raise the 82' outdoor theater screen for entertainment in the dead of night, beneath the stars, unlike any other experience. A spacious open aft deck and front cockpit are available for alfresco eating and relaxation during your many magnificent meals on board.

The yacht's interior is bright and airy, with light wood accented with aqua blue highlights and crisp light luxury linen. The master suite features a queen bed and big windows that allow you to take in the views of the Caribbean seas. There are forward-leading doors that provide access to the master cockpit, where you may relax in your lounge chair and have a private drink in the sun.

There are two more similarly gorgeous roomy queen cabins and a twin cabin available, with the staff moving to the twin cabin with early notice to make room for four queen cabins.

The Leopard 58 ‘Something Wonderful’ Features:

Among the many intriguing features of the Leopard 58, the expansive flybridge with seating for up to 10 people is one of the most exciting. This large flybridge is perfect for meals, lounging, and taking in beautiful panoramic views. The large open aft deck and forward cockpit offer ample space for alfresco dining or lounging. To enhance durability and beauty, the flybridge, the aft deck, and the forward cockpit are all covered in TekDek, a lightweight high impact simulated teak.

SOMETHING WONDERFUL accommodates 8 guests in 4 cabins. The full-width master suite has a king-size bed, bath with shower and toilet, and a study. The study and bedroom can be closed off from each other or open. Each of the three guest cabins has one queen size bed and an en suite bath with a shower and toilet. The crew occupies an ensuite port aft cabin with two twin beds.

We are a couple passionate about sailing and the ocean, nature, animals, people, love, compassion, and living life to the fullest. We are driven to inspire growth that goes hand in hand with change, to bring people together, create life-changing experiences, and show humanity a side of life that has been forgotten by society. Sailing is the one thing where the love for all comes together and you get to experience the untouched hidden beauty of life. We strive for professionalism but at the same time give a home-like feeling wherever we sail. It is not always the place that you call home but the people.

Your Skipper: Morne Botha

Qualified RYA Offshore sailor and certified cruising instructor. Currently captain of a 60 ft sailing catamaran doing all-inclusive luxury charters. Boatbuilder with Two Atlantic crossings, Navigating the whole South African coast as the beginning of my career, and two skipper positions in Croatia as skipper and host. I have a passion for sailing, surfing, diving, rock climbing, playing guitar, hiking, and anything to do with adventure. I love meeting new people, cooking, and building relationships while sharing my passion with them.

Your Hostess: Kayla Olivia Beecher

Qualified hostess and stewardess with a BA degree in health sciences and social services psychology. Currently Chef/ First Mate on a 60ft sailing catamaran, with experience in the restaurant industry, au pairing, admin, customer service, and relationship building. With a love for the Ocean and a drive to inspire children and adults to reach their dreams and claim happiness. Life on the water is vastly different from everyday life on land and I would love to let others experience this and break away from their fears and normal ways. I would love to help children sail who are underprivileged or terminally ill and thus grow to give back to others and enable them to experience the beauty of our world. We would be honored to share our love and passion with the opportunity as a skipper and hostess. We believe that our presence will not just aid in the success of the company but also be responsible for great guest/crew relationships and keep clients coming back for an unforgettable experience.

Luxury Crewed Charter Rates

The Horizon Yacht Charters BVI Crewed Charter rates are for 7 nights per vessel and are based on the number of guests. Please see individual yacht pages for detailed specifications and charter rates. Horizon Yacht Charters luxury crewed yacht charters come complete with your own personal Captain & Chef (and in the larger yachts, first mate and hostess).  NB some yachts may be skipper only (with the option of a chef) – they are stated as such. Your meals aboard are included in the rate and prepared to your group’s individual preferences and dietary requirements. Beverages are also included but please note special requests for specific brands may be subject to an additional charge.  Watersports equipment (such as paddleboards, kayaks etc) are also included and some yachts offer all-inclusive diving.

High season rates typically apply from December to April, and Low season from May to November, but please do check the seasonal rates for your yacht.

Each individual crewed yacht may charge for certain additional expenses (e.g. National Park Permit, Cruising permit, different port collections or departures).  Please ask for a full breakdown of costs for your chosen yacht. Additional supplements may apply at Christmas and New Year.

All yachts come with tenders with outboards and safety equipment. Please review the individual yacht specification on our website for further details of available equipment and details of inclusions and exclusions.

Yacht photographs and specifications act as a guide and are for information purposes only.  Although we endeavour to ensure that images are accurate reflections of the yachts in our fleet, certain aspects may vary slightly.

Please note that our bareboat repeat client discount does not apply to our crewed charter fleet.

Charter Rates shown above are for 7 nights per vessel (Christmas and New Year supplements on selected yachts). Crewed Charters usually start at noon and finish at noon, but please do check times for your particular yacht.

• Additional water-sports  (other than those included on the crewed yacht) are all available at competitive rates.
• Hotel Accommodations  throughout the islands can be arranged. Most major credit cards accepted.  Please check our Accommodations page for more information.

An Environmental levy of $10 per head is payable by all visitors to the BVI on arrival (effective 1st Sept 2017).

Bookings and Cancellations  – We require a 50% deposit to confirm the reservation and the balance due of 50% no later than 45 days prior to charter start date. A smaller deposit and interim fee may be acceptable for bookings made more than 12 months in advance. Cancellation fees apply, and vary from yacht-to-yacht. Please check the specific terms for your yacht at the time of booking.

The salon and dining is an integrated plan, featuring the lounge and dining table to starboard, with the fully equipped galley to port. Accommodation for up to 8 guests, is in one master cabin forward of the salon, boasting a full beam layout, queen size bed, study and private veranda, plus a further 3 guest suites, with double beds on the port and starboard side, each with en-suite facilities. Exterior deck space is ample aboard the crewed charter yacht SOMETHING WONDERFUL. The salon opens out onto a massive aft deck, with shade, seating and an alfresco dining option. A hydraulic swim platform rises to meet the aft deck level, providing effortless water access and a fabulous teak beach to sun bathe. Port and starboard steps lead down to the transoms and join the lowering platform. With a beam of 8.53m (28ft), guests can safely and easily walk forward, where 2 large trampolines, perfect for sunning await. The master suite also enjoys a private forward facing cockpit, with optional shade. The upper deck is the place to entertain for any occasion, complete with an alfresco dining option, seating, BBQ and wet bar and partial shade.

Yacht Charter Accommodation

The full-width Master suite has a queen size bed, en suite bath with shower and toilet, an office and private cockpit. The office and bedroom can be open or closed off from each other. On family charters, a bed can be made up in the office with a blow up mattress. Two Guest cabins have one queen size bed and en suite baths with shower and toilet. One guest cabin has two twins and an en suite bath with a shower and toilet. The addition of a filler mattress makes one large bed. The crew occupies the starboard aft queen cabin which is slightly smaller. By prior arrangement, the crew will move to the twin cabin and make the aft queen available to available to guests. The SOMETHING WONDERFUL catamaran is fully air conditioned throughout.

BVI catamaran-charter SOMETHING WONDERFUL new rate of $27,500 per week for 8 guests. The rate on this luxury crewed Virgin Islands-based catamaran for up to 8 guests is inclusive of meals, drinks, except fine wines, and Government fees.

SOMETHING WONDERFUL, a Leopard 58, features an expansive flybridge with seating for up to 10 people and a large coffee table. Ideal for lounging and taking in the beautiful panoramic views and watching movies on the 82′ outdoor theater screen.

In addition to the large open aft deck is a forward cockpit offering another choice to enjoy the views while dining or relaxing at anchor.

Crew Profiles

Captain Paul Johnson is from Greater Manchester, UK, and has been sailing since the age of four. He was brought up dingy sailing and successfully campaigned many highly competitive seasons in dinghy classes. Paul has sailed the Caribbean, Pacific, East Coast of the USA, and the UK. With such a love for the sea, it was only natural that Paul wanted to add the qualifications to match his experience and establish a career as a captain.

For two years Paul studied watersports activity leadership at Falmouth Marine School. He has a commercially endorsed Yachtmaster Offshore 200 ton and has undertaken an approved engineers course in the UK. He is also a PADI Divermaster and has dived worldwide.

Paul has been managing and running yachts for 10 years. One of the highlights was winning Best in Show at the British Virgin Islands charter yacht show in 2011.

Chef/1st Mate Isabella Matterson is from Cape Town, South Africa. She has always had a love for the ocean and outdoors. Once she joined the Yachting Industry, Isabella found a love for sailing. She has sailed the East Coast of the USA, the Caribbean, and the South Pacific. After gaining her sea time, she undertook her Capitan’s license and now holds an RYA 200 ton Yachtmaster Offshore.

Isabella’s passion for cooking started whilst living at home cooking for her family and friends. She became inspired to take on a culinary career while working with different yacht chefs aboard, so she later attended a professional cooking course at Ashburton Chefs Academy in the UK.

Isabella also enjoys diving and has a PADI Open Water diver course.

Rendezvous diving

If your crewed charter yacht does not offer onboard diving then fear not, rendezvous diving can be arranged.

So what is Rendezvous diving?

A local dive company will pick you up direct from your charter yacht at a pre-determined location and take you for a one- or two-tank dive to experience the BVI below the water. This is an excellent option if only a couple of guests wish to dive or can work equally as well if all your group are interested. If your charter yacht offers minimal onboard diving, then rendezvous diving can also work if you wanted to add a few more dives during your charter.

Rendezvous diving is at additional cost, payable locally. The dive company provides all gear.

What Does All-Inclusive Yacht Charter Mean?

To understand the prices listed in this article, it is important first to understand what an All-Inclusive Yacht Charter BVI means. –In yacht charters, two main contract types are used: CYBA ( Caribbean Yacht Brokers Association ) and MYBA ( Mediterranean Yacht Broker Association ). CYBA contracts, common in the Caribbean (all catamarans and some motor yachts), are all-inclusive except for gratuities and are in the industry referred to as “Caribbean terms.” MYBA contracts, used globally, are “plus expenses,” meaning fuel, food, and dockage are extra and handled through Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA).

What is Included in an All-Inclusive Yacht Charter?

Unless specified under the Special Conditions , the total all-inclusive charter fee includes:

• Hiring of the yacht
• Services of a fully licensed crew
• Standard ship’s bar Fuel
• Cruising taxes and permits
• Clearance taxes
• Mooring fees
• All expenses related to running the yacht
• Use of on-board leisure and sports equipment

What is Not Included in an All-Inclusive Yacht Charter?

“Amazing week of sailing in this wonderful area. Each of the overnight stays offered something different and were each special in their own way. Our crew of AJ, and Chilli were the icing on the cake. The briefing every morning gave us all the info for the day and suggestions for lunch/swimming spots on the way. AJ, our captain, has excellent knowledge of the local area and also helped with any sailing questions we had. Chilli was our social organizer, she organized everything down to the last detail! The 55 Bali was great as we were the first paying customers. Beautiful boat with plenty of room. The Captain and first mate were great. Food was top notch and so good that we opted to not do 1 shore dinner and just ate on the boat. We saw and did everything that we set out to see. I would repeat in a heartbeat.
