Grand Theft Auto V Ghost Location: Where to Find the Ghost
Where to Find the Ghost in Grand Theft Auto V
Grand Theft Auto V is full of secrets and easter eggs to uncover, and today we’re here to help you figure out where to find the ghost is in the game .
One of the spookier easter eggs players can find in Grand Theft Auto V, the ghost ties into some bits of lore scattered throughout the game and is triggered after visiting a specific website.
While playing at anytime, you can stumble across the website. It’s titled “Who Killed Leonora Johnson,” and it covers the mysterious death of a young woman.
Her killer remains unknown, and as a result the story has become a hot bed for internet theories and ghost stories. Likewise, the website has other links you can click on to learn more about the spookier tales the residents of Los Santos share.
To trigger the ghost easter egg though, you’ll have to click the Main Players tab and then the “Another Pinewood Mystery: Blood on the Rocks” link.
This will reveal an old newspaper clip that details the death of another woman in the game, as well as the location where she died. This location can be found on Mount Gordo, found in the Northeastern portion of the map.
After you’ve read the article, you can travel to the location mentioned in it to see the ghost. However, it should be noted that the ghost will fail to spawn if you arrive before 11 p.m.
Wait until slightly before this time, and then make your way towards the location marked on the map above. You should spot the ghost in the distance, along with some blood on the rocks beneath it.
If you get to close to the ghost, it will disappear, so try to catch a glimpse from a distance and use a sniper rifle scope to get a better look.
That should cover everything you could need to know about where to find the ghost in Grand Theft Auto V . For more on Grand Theft Auto V, check out some past news on the game that revealed the title is so popular it’s even played in North Korea , albeit illegally.

How To Find The Ghost In Grand Theft Auto V
If you spent time exploring the Internet in Grand Theft Auto V , you may have come across the "Who Killed Leonora Johnson" website. If you click the "Main Players" tab on this site, followed by the link for "Another Vinewood Mystery: Blood on the Rocks," you arrive at an old newspaper clipping detailing the death of another woman, Jolene Cranley-Evans. This article shows a picture of a particular location in the game. You can find it in northeastern part of the map on Mount Gordo.
If you travel to this location during the day, you won't find any clues leading to her murder or accidental death. If you wait until night – 11 PM to be precise – a ghostly image of a woman appears on one of the rocks. Approaching this apparition will make it vanish, but you can get a good look at her through a sniper rifle scope. If you climb onto the rock she occupies, you'll see the name "Jock" spelled in blood. The ghost and blood stain both disappear at midnight.
Is this ghost outing her husband for her murder, or is she reaching out to the love of her life for help? Until we get answers, Jolene will continue to haunt Mount Gordo.

Rockstar developers did not just pay attention to the main campaign. They have successfully created a living, breathing, immersive open world. As a result, every street, alley, and corner of this world has a unique myth attached to it.
The world of GTA 5 should be experienced deeply to be fully appreciated. Therefore, every player should at least once go on to look for this easter egg at least once.
The Ghost Of Mount Gordo In GTA 5
The supernatural occurrences in GTA 5 have gained legendary status among the gaming myths. The myth of the Ghost of Mount Gordo is an old tale in GTA 5. The old-timer players definitely know about this ghost.
However, newer players who stumble on this easter egg are often scared. It is a scary sight when you first encounter this ghost.
The ghost can be spotted at only one location in GTA 5. You will see a frightening floating woman on the edge of the mountain. Moreover, this woman has terrifying facial features you can view through a camera.
In classic horror ghost fashion, the ghost is seen sporting a long white robe and long black hair. Moreover, to add to the ghost aesthetic, this ghost is slightly transparent, indicating it’s not a living person. Furthermore, you can see something written in red at the feet of this ghost.
Moreover, due to the entire set of this scene, we can assume that these words are written in blood. Furthermore, if you get close to the cliff, you can see that the word spells out Jock.
Where To Find The Ghost In GTA 5
The Ghost of Mount Gordo appears in only one place, Mount Gordo. This mountain is one of the three mountains in GTA 5. However, this is the smallest mountain in the game. The hill is located on the northeast end of the map. Mount Gordo is in the northern region of Blaine County .
This mountain also overlooks the lighthouse on the other side. This lighthouse is also a famous location in Blaine County. However, be careful as this mountain is a dangerous place. Surprisingly the ghost is the least of your worries here. However, you must be careful of the steep hill as the fall from here could be fatal.
Moreover, this place is swarmed with mountain lions. These lions are capable of killing you instantly with a single hit. Therefore, you should pack weapons to take care of any lion that would pose threat.
How To Trigger This Easter Egg
This is one of several easter eggs in GTA 5. The Ghost in GTA 5 only appears in certain special conditions. As this is a special easter egg, it also works at only a specific time.
This is what you need to do to see the Ghost:
- Head out to the Location of the ghost at Mount Gordo.
- You need to visit this place strictly between 11 pm till 12 am. The ghost only appears during this one-hour in-game. Moreover, it is essential to note that this is in-game time.
- Next, stand at a distance from the location. Use your binoculars or sniper scope to see the ghost.
- You can not go near the Ghost. This easter egg is designed so that if you get too close, the Ghost will disappear.
- However, the Jock written in blood stays on the rock even if you go close to it.
- As soon as the clock hits 12 AM, both the ghost and the word written in blood will disappear.
- You can also take Ghost’s picture using your phone.
The Ghost can be seen overlooking the edge of the mountain, staring at the lighthouse. However, players can not interact with the Ghost in GTA 5. Moreover, the Ghost’s appearance does not affect the player or the game.
The Ghost appears to frighten the unsuspected players and disappears again into the unknown. However, the disappearance is not for long as this ghost enjoys attention and will be here the very next day at the same time.
The GTA 5 developers did not just insert this easter egg as a one-off thing; they crafted an entire story behind it. The Ghost of Mount Mordo in GTA 5 has an in-depth backstory that the players have been able to uncover.
However, this search for backstory starts on the Internet. You need to search the website Who Killed Lenora Jhonson through your in-game phone.
This is a conspiracy theory mystery website; Lenora Johnson will not be the main concern. However, on this website, you will find other mysteries. So after a little browsing, you will come across the mystery ‘Blood On the Rocks.’ This is the story of our ghost, and here we will find more information. If you click on this tab, you will see a picture of a newspaper article titled Tragedy at the Cliff.
Tragedy at the Cliff describes the death of his wife, John ‘Jock’ Cranley. Moreover, Cranley is a recurring character in GTA 5, as he appeared in previous titles in the game.
Who is John ‘Jock’ Cranley
John ‘Jock’ Cranley is a character deeply rooted in the GTA franchise. Moreover, GTA 5 is not his first appearance, as Jock also was a prominent figure in GTA Vice City Stories. Back then, he was an actor and stuntman, and he notably starred in his own TV Show. However, as the years passed, he moved to Los Santos and became a politician.
This is how we find Jock Cranley in GTA 5. Here he is a candidate for the governor of San Andreas for the Conservative Party. You can find this information on his in-game website, www.jockcranley.com .
Moreover, Jock Cranley writes about his drug addiction from the past on his website. Here he uses his previous drug abuse to show how he is a changed man. However, there is no mention of his wife, which is odd considering he could have used this as a marketing tool. Maybe he did not want other people to look into his past.
Jock Cranley Major Suspect
However, if we further dissect the newspaper clipping, we can start seeing our principal suspect. The newspaper article also mentions some peculiar details. Here we are told that Jock Cranley and his late wife Jolene had a troubled marriage. Jock wanted to move out to Los Santos to become a stuntman, while Jolene wanted to stay in Blaine County to take care of her parents.
Moreover, his wife’s death seems less like an accident and more like murder. This is also why her ghost still haunts that cliff, as that was the place of her death. Furthermore, the suspect is always the person that gains most from someone’s death.
This is also evident in Jock’s statement after his wife’s death. In this statement, he mentioned how his wife was the only thing coming between him and his dreams.
Moreover, even Jolene’s father asked the police to investigate Jock as the major suspect. This clearly proves that their marriage was not doing great, and her father did not trust Jock. Even the Ghost tells us that Jock is the murderer as she writes his name with blood on the cliff.
Therefore, all signs point to John Jock Cranley as the major suspect in the murder. Cranley got his dream of becoming a stuntman and leaving Blaine County behind. However, this would not have been possible if his wife was still alive.
Some Other Myths About This Ghost
The Ghost in GTA 5 is a well-thought-out easter egg. Moreover, there are many myths associated with the Ghost. This is because other players have also heard voices near the cliff. Players have reported having heard faint screams from this area.
However, one of the most popular myths is a recording of Jolene’s plea. Some players have reported having heard Jolene’s final plea for her life. There is a game recording where you can hear Jolene asking someone not to do it. This is clearly Jolene asking her husband, Jock, not to push her off the cliff.
However, it is important to remember that only a few players have heard these voices. There is no fixed way to trigger this easter egg, and it stays purely random. So there is a chance you can hear her last plea for help or someone screaming.
The Ghost of Mount Gordo is well thought easter egg in GTA 5. This supernatural element has a dark, twisted story that is not for everyone. Not everyone can digest murder and horror imagery. However, everyone should at least try it once during their gameplay. Furthermore, it is not difficult to trigger this easter egg as it works automatically.
Developers of GTA 5 spend time and resources on setting up this ghost. This shows the commitment to the game from its developers and makes the game’s world even more immersive. As a result, there isn’t just a scary ghost at the cliff; we have a victim and the culprit.
Moreover, the culprit is someone familiar and well-integrated into GTA 5. The Ghost will be waiting for you at Mount Gordo; you only need to show up.

Brad Snider's Ghost is an unlikely myth in Grand Theft Auto V .

- 4 Navigation
Description [ ]
Brad Snider was a former bank robber and an associate of Michael De Santa and Trevor Philips. He was killed during a standoff with police during a botched bank heist in 2004, during the mission Prologue . Even after his death in the first mission, Brad's whereabouts are a major driving force in the game's story, leading Michael and Trevor to discover his body during the mission Bury the Hatchet .
This myth originated in August of 2017. It has been primarily associated with clickbait YouTubers, a fact that has put the validity of the myth into question. Still, some genuine myth hunters still investigate the myth. They cite the fact that Brad was a major character in the game as well with other paranormal encounters in North Yankton as proof that his ghost could be real.
The hunt for Brad's ghost began at the Ludendorff Cemetery , his final resting place. Brad's grave was disturbed during the mission Bury the Hatchet , which may have acted as an impetus for his ghost to haunt the area. In addition, Brad's corpse no longer spawns in the disturbed grave after the mission is completed, a possible reference. However, some users have put forth a theory that the ghost in Ludendorff's cemetery is not Brad, but one of the many other deaths associated with North Yankton: the heist crew's getaway driver (shot in the head during the escape,) Jaspers and another unnamed security guard (killed during the heist,) police officers, or Triads (killed during the mission Bury the Hatchet .) In fact, if Michael is killed in Option B , it may be his ghost since the tombstone has his name on it. None of these alternative claims have ever been proven and remain on the fringe.
In December of 2017, the hunt switched mainly to the farmhouse where Brad was killed. This is because, in real life folklore, ghosts haunt the places where they die, not where they are buried. There may be some truth to this, as a video by myth hunter DaviDustin showed Trevor reacting aggressively towards an invisible pedestrian. This same behavior of the player speaking with another person who isn't there is common in other haunted locations, so this is strong evidence in favor of the ghost.

Grand theft auto 5 theory: who the mount gordo ghost really is.
Grand Theft Auto 5 has a spooky ghost Easter egg, and players think they've figured out the mysterious GTA5 Mount Gordo ghost's identity.
The Mount Gordo ghost is one of Grand Theft Auto 5' s spookiest Easter eggs, but it's not just a fun bit of horror thrown into the game. Fans have pieced together bits of GTA 5' s story to theorize about who the Mount Gordo ghost really is, and it has a particularly dark origin story.
GTA developer Rockstar is notorious for packing its games with unexplained Easter eggs. Red Dead Redemption 2' s mysterious Francis Synclair mural, for example, contains cryptic depictions of the supposed time traveler's exploits, including a meteor headed for ancient Egyptian pyramids. Grand Theft Auto 5' s most notorious curiosity is the mysterious Mount Chiliad mural . Players theorized for years that the mural concealed some big secret, like a jetpack or a hidden bunker, but a recent theory shows it's most likely just an instruction manual for making the game's UFO Easter egg appear.
Related: 10 Small Details You Only Notice Replaying Grand Theft Auto V
Finding GTA 5' s ghost requires similar steps to finding the GTA 5 UFO , but without the story completion requirements. Players should head up near Mount Gordo's peak. There, a rock at the edge of a cliff has the word "JOCK" splattered onto it, written in what looks like blood. The ghost will appear above the rock between 11 p.m. and midnight, but it disappears if a player gets too close, so players should walk away from the rock before waiting for the ghost. It's also reportedly possible to hear spooky screams when viewing the ghost from a small campsite near Mount Gordo's base.
The ghost is nothing but a silent JPEG, and its appearance doesn't give much away about its identity, but the "JOCK" message is very telling. GTA fans may recognize the name as that of Jock Cranley, a politician featured in GTA 5' s story content . Before getting into politics, Jock was an aspiring stuntman in Blaine County - the rural, northern part of GTA 5' s map where Mount Gordo is located. A page of the in-game Senora Beach newspaper features a story about the death of Jock's wife, Jolene Cranley-Evans.
According to the paper, Jolene fell to her death from the cliffs above El Gordo Lighthouse in May 1978, following an argument with Jock. Jock had wanted to move to GTA 5' s Los Santos to grow his stuntman career, but Jolene disagreed, leading to troubles in their marriage. Jock was suspected of pushing Jolene off the cliff, but he was released from custody due to insufficient evidence. The ghost, then, is clearly Jolene, who has written "JOCK" on the rock where she was pushed in order to tell passers-by the real truth.

Grand Theft Auto Online Ghost Girl is Still One of the Scariest Easter Eggs in the Game
There are many bizarre encounters waiting for players in Grand Theft Auto Online, but hardly any are more spooky than the Mount Gordo ghost girl.
Rockstar Games is notorious for cramming its releases with a plethora of eerie oddities and encounters. From Red Dead Redemption 2' s mysterious Francis Synclair mural that contains cryptic depictions of a supposed time traveler's exploits to ancient alien sightings, the developers are not afraid to go truly out there if it means shocking players. Likewise, Grand Theft Auto Online is no different, as ever-unraveling Easter eggs are abundant for fans to sink their teeth into. However, hardly any are more infamous within the community than the Mount Gordo ghost girl.
The ghost that haunts the vast valleys of Mount Gordo has to be one of Grand Theft Auto Online' s spookiest Easter eggs , but, unlike other secrets, there is more to this spirit than it just being a fun bit of horror thrown into the game. Over the years, fans have pieced together bits of scattered narrative lore to theorize about whom the Mount Gordo ghost really is, and it has a particularly dark origin story. Regardless, much headway has been made on her case, with the community now uncovering new strategies that allow players to get a close view of the ghost girl since doing so is much tougher than it sounds.

Speaking of which, Reddit user AuraMasta420 posted a short 19-second clip onto the Grand Theft Auto Online subreddit that demonstrates such a tactic for other users. The video opens with AuraMasta420 roaming the cliffs of Mount Gordo, a GTA Online location infamous for its scary experiences , between 23:00 and 00:00. All seems fine midway through the video until the specter spawns on the edge of the rock face. Usually, she will disappear when approached, although using the method shown which is to stand where she once stood and open the phone camera, players can get a clear look at the ghost girl.
GTA Online Ghost Girl: Check Your Camera! from gtaonline
Upon inspecting closer, the phantom has a permanent petrified open-mouthed expression on her face, as well as a windswept dress. However, she is nothing more but a silent two-dimensional JPEG, and its appearance doesn't give much away about its identity, but the "JOCK" message written in blood near her feet is very telling. After all, fans may recognize the name as Jock Cranley, a corrupt politician featured in Grand Theft Auto 5' s story content . Before pushing pencils, Jock was crashing cars as an aspiring stuntman in Blaine County, the rural county in southern San Andreas where Mount Gordo is located.
However, things turned pretty ugly after the in-game Senora Beach newspaper details a story about the death of Jock's wife, Jolene Cranley-Evans. According to the write-up, Jolene "fell" to her death from the cliffs after arguing with her husband. Jock had wanted to move to Los Santos to solidify his stuntman career, but Jolene vocally wanted no part of that future. Because of this, Jock was suspected of pushing Jolene off the cliff but the case was dropped due to insufficient evidence. With this information on the table, the ghost is Jolene, who has written "JOCK" on the rock where she died to tell onlookers the truth.
In summary, despite how old Grand Theft Auto Online is, gamers are still trying to crack every nut buried across the map. Fortunately, as the game is regularly updated to this day, Rockstar might introduce more lore-focused mysteries to the game to keep the community scrambling for clues and answers.
Grand Theft Auto Online is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions launching March 15.

Need more convincing? We thought not. This latest event comes courtesy of the San Andreas Mercenaries DLC and is definitely not one you want to miss! So, get ready to embrace your inner spirit chaser as we detail all the ghost locations in the GTA Online Halloween 2023 event.
Table of Contents
What is the ghosts exposed event in gta online, all ghost locations in ghosts exposed event, albany brigham ghosts exposed livery.
Before we begin, you might ask: What is the Ghosts Exposed event? In short, it's a new Halloween event that invites players to embark on a ghost hunt. During this event, players must snap photos of ten elusive ghosts concealed within Los Santos and Blaine County.
The apparitions eventually lead to the discovery of Johnny Klebitz's ghost, a character from GTA V, breathing life into the eerie lore of the Grand Theft Auto V universe. Players will be rewarded with cash and a special Halloween-themed item for participating (more on that later).
Rockstar Games' official GTA Online Weekly Update blog post read as follows:
The Halloween festivities continue with the introduction of three new deathmatches, UFO Business Battles, encounters with Phantom Cars, and more starting this week. Players can also help local paranormal investigators, Ghosts Exposed, track down photographic evidence of apparitions.
Where To Find All Ghosts In GTA Online Ghosts Exposed Event
Alright, enough waffling. There are exactly ten ghost locations in the Ghosts Exposed event of GTA Online, all of which are mostly scattered across the northern part of the map, around the Blaine County region.
Like most spooks, you can only find these ghouls in the nighttime. To be more specific, the ghosts will appear between 8 PM and 6 PM in-game time , in hourly intervals. You must find them in the order displayed in the image above.
Still struggling to find all the ghost locations in GTA Online. I get it — my descriptions suck — but truth be told, I tried my best. So, if you need a visual walkthrough, check out the video below by YouTuber GTA Series Videos.
What Are The GTA Online Ghosts Exposed Rewards?
Finding all ten ghosts in the GTA Online Ghosts Exposed event will reward you handsomely. Specifically, you'll get 5,000 RP and GTA$ 20,000 for every ghost located, plus a bonus of GTA$ 50,000 for finding them all. That totals GTA$ 250,000. Not a bad payday, if you ask me.
But that's not all. Snapping photos of all ten ghosts in the Halloween 2023 event in GTA Online will also reward you with a special Ghosts Exposed livery for the Albany Brigham .
It basically transforms this 50s-style hurse into the bad-ass Ghostbusters Ectomobile ghost-hunting automobile. Pretty cool, eh?
The Albany Brigham is a four-door coach wagon that retails at GTA$ 1,499,000 at the Southern San Andreas Super Autos in GTA Online, making it well worth kitting out this Halloween.
The car's in-game description reads:
Back in the 50's, the Albany Brigham was the perfect car for any stage of life. All Ghosts Exposed Locations in GTA Online
Alamo ghosts location.
The ghost of Johnny Klebitz appears on the shore of the Alamo Sea only between midnight and 1 a.m. , which is a short timeframe. You can make a photo of this ghost near the “Sandy Shores Beach Front Recreation Area” sign. I must warn you that this ghost will appear only after you take photos of the other nine ghosts .
Cassidy Creek River Ghosts Location
This ghost can spawn only between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. , but there are two possible spots. One’s at the exit of the tunnel over Cassidy Creek, and the other one’s at the bridge above it.
Chaparral Ghosts Location
The north of Great Chaparral also has two possible spots for the ghosts to appear: one can spawn in the graveyard along Route 68, and the other one at the church nearby. These only appear between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. , so you’ll have to seek them out then.
Grand Senora Desert Ghosts Location
The next ghost usually spawns in the north of the desert, between Marina Drive and Algonquin Boulevard. You can easily spot it around 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. inside one of the abandoned white trailers.
Grapeseed Ghosts Location
Spot another ghost between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Grapeseed Main Street. You’ll see a half-burnt barn along the road, and that’s where it typically appears.
Harmony Ghosts Location
You can find the next ghost between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m in the northern part of Harmony, next to Joshua Road. You’ll find an abandoned wooden house full of ghosts.
Lighthouse Ghosts Location
If you know the location of the island with a lighthouse to the east of Grapeseed and Senora Freeway, then you’ll easily spot this ghost between 11 p.m. and midnight.
Paleto Bay Ghosts Location
Paleto Bay has its own old wooden shack full of ghosts located north of Procopio Drive. Between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. is when you can get your picture.
Sandy Shores Ghosts Location
In the northeastern part of the Sandy Shores, you’ll find the carcass of a burned bus. It turns out it’s between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. that ghosts like to visit this area.
Tongva Hills Ghosts Location
If you check out the area between Zancudo Road and Buen Vino Road at Tongva Hills, then you’ll find a gorgeous waterfall. But it turns out that between 4 a.m. and 5 p.m. , this place is full of ghosts.
That’s it for our list of all Ghosts Exposed locations in GTA Online . Stay tuned for more GTAO tips and tricks articles right here.
