Snipetron Vs Vulkar

CamoPsycho

I was thinking of Spudding one of them and would like to get some feed back.

The biggest question i have is this does the snipetrons Armor Ignoring out do the Vulkars extra 25 Damage?

And im looking for Damage Per Shot not Damage Per a Second.

Snipetron, in my opinion, is the better gun.

Archistopheles

It's not armor ignore. The weapon deals elemental AP damage.

Around level 30+, armor ignore will win.

Armor scales, and blowing through the armor is more efficient at higher levels.

Good luck to you.

Flunky

snipetron is obviously superior but both should be slam dunked into a dumpster with due haste

Thanks Everyone

If modded correctly, I hear the vulkar can do around 8.5 k damage per shot due to its raw damage potential over the snipetron.

LazyKnight

Only use Vulkar if you intend to use a catalyst and 4-5 forma. It doesn't out scale the Sniptron without extremely high level mods.

Snipetron is back in game?

No, but it wasn't taken from people like me that already have it.

Tekkaman-Blade

Tekkaman-Blade

they need to give Vulkar a single polarity

lanka just got 20% crit buff last hotfix. 200 base, albiet electric damage, sounds really monstrous for your elemental mods.

There's a video comparing them to each other vs bosses.

Very true and should be noted. Against the targets that matter most in terms of their armor, AP can give the Snipetron the edge because of the multipliers... across the board Vulkar can, technically, win out... but it's not going to the overwhelming bulk of the time.

Equally forma'ed out the difference between the two is minor but leans towards the vulkar (because vulnerable points typically have no armor) for most targets (ancient's weakpoint is the head but the head is very heavily armored... but AP does extra damage) but against enemies that are weak to ap damage the Snipetron wins out.

I have a hard time listening to someone who seriously tries to compare a Kraken during a sniper gun comparison.

Function out does power...

The Vulkar has more power and VASTLY SUPERIOR FUNCTION... when I mean function the zoom function is just simply waaaaaay better. I mean it felt so good I thought I was playing with a brand new sniper rifle in real life it was like my birthday when I first got the Vulkar after using that horrifying weapon known as Snipertron. HUGE improvement in every way feasible... its so good I realize why the Ballista girls shoot better then the Grineer (Grakata... SO...BAD...).

Just to clarify something, anything is decent if you stick strong enough mods and enough forma in it but Vulkar is trash stock. It is the same as a Grakata in its requirements and giving it less than 4 forma is insufficient. All weapons scale with mods/catalyst/forma and for the amount the Vulkar takes to shine it is absurd. Putting 2 Forma turns a Dread into a formidable sniping weapon, same with a latron prime, Paris and sniptron only require 3 to reach high strength.

I am not even biased against this weapon to begin with, but its functional a useless weapon at 30 mod points, at least the other 4 weapon are useable stock. This weapon need to be in rework impending category same as a few of the lab weapons.

Vulkar is a high peak output gun at max possible mods and optimized combination and if the user only target weak points. It is inferior to any other weapon in the sniper family at stock and can only surpasses them if you stick 4-5 forma in it. Why anyone would stick 5 forma in either this or a grakata is a mystery to me. All weapon scale with forma and I can think of many other places I would rather invest that many forma.

*is currently making a fire with the Paris, and Dread but the material is apparently not wood*

What was that? I was too busy lighting Paris, and Dread on fire due to horrendous loading time, poor single shot quality, the fact it falls and you have to make up for that, the fact its not so great and run and gun, the fact I ALWAYS FORGET TO REMOVE IT before an infested mission, or a mission I know I am about to be swarmed by something... which is usually ALWAYS... rendering the bows the most hopeless ever... Last night I wasn't even able to finish the orokin event at the very last second because I forgot to switch out Dread for Braton(ITS FRIGGIN CORPUS AND THE DREAD UTTERLY FAILS!!!)... which caused me to die and fail the mission... which totally ruined my day... If I had the braton on me I would've mowed those suckers down like it was nothing but to due to how slow Dread is it was a living hell after I ran out of Despairs to throw at the enemies (not to mention I have the hardest time in the world hitting shield bots with Despair which is why I switch to braton to shoot them, even Vulkar can hit shield bots with better aim then Dread, and Despair)

but I need to calm down even though I have been having a bad week lately the stream was awesome... and when it comes to weapons and warframes it depends SOLEY on the users...

This made me laugh in real life.

I can't stand slow weapons, or weapons with poor aim... that's why I prefer Braton over Dread...

I never got to experience Snipetron, But from what I experienced with Vulkar (do note this thing had a catalyst before even being on the field) It was generally good. I had some issues on bosses without friends (other than the typical Vor). But once I got serration, even at low amounts of it, the thing started doing damage. Just keep aiming at weak points and the thing really shines. But if you want overkill use it along with banshee and a maxed sonar, I have had really good results with hit.

All i can say is wow.... I can solo void 3 missions with just my secondary weapon and  if you can do that with melee and a secondary plus bow than you need serous help?

Someone called the bows slow?

I'm going to assume whoever it was hasn't tried them with a maxed speed trigger, because they actually ramp up quite nicely and can hold their own in combat with that mod.

Acquisition [ ]

Originally available from the Market , it was retired from it in Update 8.0 (2013-05-23) due to lore issues where the Corpus do not utilize weapons that fire bullets, but rely on energy weapons or railgun technology .

The Snipetron blueprint was added as a reward for the Project Undermine Tactical Alert from the 2nd of October 2015 to the 5th of October 2015.

  • As a general note, ammo consumption should not be too big of an issue as long as players make full use of their abilities and melee weapons in conjunction with Snipetron.

Update 32.0 (2022-09-07)

We understand the power fantasy of these weapons is very popular for some, so our first approach was to keep them powerful, but limit how often they can be used by making changes to ammo pick-up.

Ammo Pickup Overrides The following weapons now have ammo pickup overrides, meaning they gain less from picking up ammo. This mostly applies to AoE weapons, in hopes that players will become more deliberate with their aim to make the most of their Ammo pools. The following lists the specific ammo pick up overrides per weapon category.

Primary Weapon Ammo Pick Up Overrides

15 Ammo per Pick Up:

  • 1 combo count removed on miss instead of all of them
  • Additional bullets from multishot will each count as their own hits and misses in the combo counter
  • Combo duration reduced to 2 seconds for all snipers apart from Lanka which is reduced to 6
  • Damage fall off begins at 400 meters and ends at 600 meters with damage reduced to 50% past 600 meters.

latron wraith vs snipetron vandal

  1. Latron Wraith Vs Snipetron Vandal? : r/Warframe

Latron Wraith Vs Snipetron Vandal? i guess it depends on context - if for personal use, ditch both for latron prime with incarnon. it is vaulted but you should be able to farm the modest 120 plat or so it takes to buy it from someone. if that isn't an option, choose latron wraith with incarnon (even if you dont have incarnon now, just wait for ...

  2. Invasion weapon rewards. Which one's good or bad?

Strun Wraith is one of the strongest shotguns. The only one I consider outright good is the strun wraith.
