I’ve always had a soft spot for the beaches in St. Petersburg, each with a unique standout charm. 

The first time I set foot on Honeymoon Island State Park Beach in Dunedin, the tranquil atmosphere left me smitten. 

The sound of waves gently lapping against the shore was a calm melody.

And the sunsets? 

Simply breathtaking. 

Comparatively, Caladesi Island State Park Beach offered a more adventurous experience. 

The ferry ride to the island was an adventure on its own.

The pristine, natural environment is its winning card, a haven for wildlife enthusiasts like myself. 

We spent an unforgettable day spotting dolphins and collecting seashells.

Clearwater Beach, on the other hand, is a vibrant party on the sand. 

The energy there is contagious, the beach bustling with activity. 

Each beach is its own beautiful world waiting to be explored.

For tranquility, Honeymoon Island is your go-to. 

For nature, Caladesi Island is a treasure trove. 

And for a lively beach day, Clearwater Beach is the place to be. 

How I Picked The Beach Spots 

When picking these beach spots, I made sure to personally experience each beach and gather insights from both locals and fellow travelers. 

I immersed myself in these sandy getaways, feeling the sun’s rays and the ocean’s breeze.

So, how did I narrow down the list? 

I carefully considered factors like family-friendliness, safety, amenities, water quality, and accessibility. 

I did all these to truly understand what makes these beaches exceptional.

I wanted to ensure that each beach I recommended checked all the boxes for an unforgettable beach vacation.

I rate these beaches based on the following criteria:

• Family-Friendliness: I use this to evaluate if the beach is ideal for families with children. Does the beach offer kid-friendly activities and playgrounds? Does the beach have shallow waters and gentle waves? I ask myself these questions when I rate the family-friendliness criterion. 
• Safety: This is used to assess the safety of every beach destination. Are there lifeguards manning the beach? Does it have safety equipment? What are the other safety measures at the beach? I consider these factors when evaluating the safety of every beach. 
• Amenities: I use it to evaluate the quality and availability of facilities on every beach.  Is it equipped with restrooms, showers, and changing rooms? Does it have ample parking? These questions are important whenever I rate the amenities of each beach. 
• Water Quality: This evaluates the cleanliness and clarity of the water at the beach. Are there algae in the water? Is the water safe and clean enough for swimming and other activities? I ask myself these questions in order to rate the beach’s water quality. 
• Accessibility: This measures how accessible the beach is for visitors. How far is it from the major cities? Is it easily accessible by public transportation? Is the beach wheelchair accessible? I use these questions to evaluate the accessibility of every beach.

Airlie Beach Race Week 2024 has officially come to an end, with all who joined in the festivities agreeing that it was an all out success. Running from the 8th to the 15th of August, this year’s Race Week was one full of tight competition, dramatic sailing conditions, and a whole lot of fun!

The Whitsunday Sailing Club , who hosted Airlie Beach Race Week 2024 , had plenty to keep locals and visitors entertained, whether it was watching the monohulls or multihulls battle it out, or taking part in the onshore activities available across all seven days.

With the excitement of Race Week coming to a close, here’s a rundown of some of this year’s winners, and some snaps from the competition.

Airlie Beach Race Week Performance Racing Winners

Queensland’s own Leo Rodriguez and Iyas Shaheen came first in the Performance Racing division with their Shockwave 36 vessel Smooth Criminal.

In second place was Mr Mojo, skippered by George Kompolthy, followed by Gizmo in third place, skippered by Gerard Tromp Everaarts.

Airlie Beach Race Week Multihull Division 1 Winners

In Multihull Division 1, Ullman Sails, skippered by Paul Mitchell, took first place. Hooligan, skippered by Joel Berg came in second place, while M32 World, skippered by Paul Mitchell’s brother Dale Mitchell, came third.

Airlie Beach Race Week Rating Division 1

Ray Roberts’ Team Hollywood was the clear winner in Rating Division 1, despite his competitors best efforts. In close second was Gordon Ketelby’s Zen, followed by Adam Janczyk’s Mobile Power Trailers.

Although things got a little tense during the "Off the Rails" episode of  RHONJ  Season 14, the cast members are getting in some much-needed relaxation time with their family members on the white, sandy beaches of Turkey.

Inside Teresa Giudice and Jennifer Aydin's Vacation After RHONJ Season 14

Jennifer took to her Instagram Story over the weekend, where she snapped a photo of her husband, Bill Aydin , their five kids , along with Louie's son, Louie Jr. , and Teresa's youngest daughter, Audriana Giudice , at the airport. Jennifer and Bill traveled with a  big  crowd before they ended up reuniting with Teresa and Louie in Bodrum, Turkey.

Jennifer then took to her Instagram Story later on, where she captured her and Teresa walking to dinner before heading to a night club with their families. She captured everyone pumping their fists and dancing while the DJ played house music.

Teresa took to her own Instagram Story that same night, where she danced next to Jennifer, kissed Louie, and hugged Audriana while hanging at the club. Teresa could not contain her smile in the videos, where she looked like she was having the time of her life.

Teresa took to her Instagram Story the next morning where she showed off the views from the stunning coastal Turkish town, before heading to the beach with her family. It was here where she reunited with eldest daughter  Gia Giudice  along with Gia's boyfriend  Christian Carmichael , dipped her toes in the "see-through" water, and soaked up the sun.

Jennifer also took to her Instagram Story where she showed off her family's cabana on the beach, and captured Teresa singing the praises for their vacation spot. "This is my kind of beach club," Teresa exclaimed on Jennifer's story. "Bodrum is a secret. It's the best-kept secret. They need to come here."

Jennifer, who is Turkish , also got in on the praise while sitting with Teresa. "It's like a hidden gem," Jennifer explained. "Absolute luxury, absolute service. We gotta let the people know about the hidden gem and how much fun we're having."

After a season of shifting dynamics, Teresa and Jennifer are still in a good place . In case this blended family vacation wasn't enough proof of their close bond, Jennifer took to her Instagram feed after the RHONJ  finale aired, where she posted a photo of her and Teresa hanging out together. "We just always 'Ha Ha - Laugh, Funny' Together!" she wrote in the caption of the post.

During a July 14 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen , Jennifer addressed how she has handled conflict in her friendship with Teresa when it arises. "This is the thing: Teresa's the type, you know how she always says, 'You need to tell me'," she said. "So once I told [Teresa about the issues], she realized, and she's like, 'You know what, I'm gonna be there for you.' This is just who she is and being her friend, I acknowledge that about her. So we're good. She's one of my best friends."

Sydney Sweeney Bares Her Butt in Cheeky Boat Snaps: 'I Think They Call This a Thirst Trap'

Sydney Sweeney is feeling cheeky.

The Euphoria actress posted several pictures on Instagram from a recent summer boat day. Sweeney, 26, posed in a black and white wetsuit that showed off her backside. She completed the look with black sunglasses and white sneakers.

"i think they call this a thirst trap," she captioned the Instagram slides.

She posed on top of a boat in several pics showing off her toned physique. In one slide, she could be seen laughing and covering her face. In another picture, she lounged around with friends.

The Anyone But You actress has spent lots of time outdoors this summer. Days before, Sweeney shared another boat moment with a video of her "water surfing for the first time ever."

She also shared a carousel of images captioned "all things camp" on July 30. One video included her sitting on a jet ski while others floated around in pool tubes.

Another showed her and her friends singing karaoke outside at night. They belted out classics such as "Sk8r Boi" by Avril Lavigne and "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!" by ABBA.

There were also photos featuring someone hiding fake spiders among bedding, along with Polaroids of the "camp" moments.

The last slide featured Sweeney in a mismatched flower bodysuit and swim mask.

Her dog Tank also made her DOGUE debut, appearing in a dog-inspired Vogue photoshoot. Pictures included her dog lounging in the back of a red car and on a pool float.

Sweeney previously told PEOPLE about how Tank helps her mental health and keeps her balanced.

"My dog, Tank, really is so important in my own self-care process," Sweeney said in March.

Photos Do Not Show Young Kamala Harris Working as an 'Escort'

In early August 2024, social media users claimed three widely shared images showed U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris in a series of revealing outfits. Numerous captions stated these pictures showed a young Harris as an "escort."

One caption read: "Staffers in San Francisco are coming forward stating that Kamala Harris was an escort for judges, politicians, and various powerful businessmen to sway court cases and help push leftist policies in the state."

The three photos can be seen in the two X posts below (the photo on the left is repeated in both posts).

Although we were unable to find an authentic source for the photographs, one expert told Snopes his theory was the pictures were low-quality images that did not feature Harris at all. There was also no evidence Harris was ever an "escort," as the captions claimed. Considering these points, and several others outlined below, we rated the photos and the associated claims "False."

Using numerous reverse-image search tools , we found the photos appeared to start spreading on Facebook, Instagram, X, and 4chan in early August, not long after Harris formally declared her candidacy for president.

A Reddit post ( archived ) and a Facebook post credited the images to a "Glenn Sparks" on Facebook; however, Snopes was unable to find the pictures on Sparks' account . The latter Facebook post said the photo showed Harris in the 1980s "with Montel Williams (a television host and actor) at some awards show." Meanwhile, one of the earliest similar posts was published by an Instagram account that also posted the images of Harris.

Analyzing Each Photograph

Starting with the second pair of photos featuring a woman in slightly different black and purple outfits, the individual carried a small resemblance to the vice president but, upon our viewing, did not appear to be Harris. 

Snopes shared the images with Hany Farid, a professor who specialized in digital forensics and image analysis at the University of California, Berkeley. We attempted to determine whether artificial intelligence (AI) or photo editing software was used to place Harris' head onto another woman's body, or if any other manipulation occurred.

Farid, who analyzed both the photographs featuring the woman in black, told Snopes: "It is a pretty low-quality image, making an analysis difficult. But, I don't find any obvious signs that the image is AI-generated. I think it is more likely that this is a cheap fake and the person just isn't [Harris]."

He also ran the photo on the right through a facial biometric system and found it did not match Harris at all. Farid sent us a gif, seen below, comparing Harris' face to that of the woman in one of the photographs. Even if it was a much younger image of Harris, the ear shape and structure did not align, and neither did the eyes.

"I [aligned] the face in the photo to a recent photo of Harris and you can see that there are significant differences in the shape of the ear (while not unique, ear shape/structure has been used as a biometric)," he told us.

Farid also used the facial biometric system on the woman in the red dress, from the first pair of photos, and found it matched with Harris. However, he explained: "This is most likely a simple photoshop manipulation, but the image is too low resolution/quality for me to say anything definitive."

Snopes then ran the images through AI detectors , Winston AI and IsitAI , both of which suggested the images of the woman in the black and purple outfits were human-generated, though they were conflicted on the origin of the woman in the red dress. IsitAI said it was likely human-generated, while Winston AI said it was likely AI-generated.  

Why We Rated Each Image 'False'

The posts containing the images did not include any links to authentic reporting on the photos, nor details of their origin, nor credible evidence other than the low-quality pictures themselves, making the images immediately suspect.

If there were any truth to the claims Harris was an "escort," or to these photographs, both would be eminently newsworthy and mainstream media outlets would have investigated them. However, Snopes found no evidence of news outlets reporting on Harris being an escort, or stating the images were authentic. Furthermore, if these were pictures of a young Harris, the photographs would have been more widespread before August 2024.

Snopes , the BBC and MSNBC have all previously reported on other authentic photos of Harris in the 1980s, none of which looked like the above three photos.

We also reached out to other experts to determine whether there were any potential manipulations in the images, as well as to the Harris campaign to get their response. We will update this article if we learn more.

False claims about Harris have proliferated ever since she became a presidential nominee, many focusing on her race and gender. Such racist and misogynist speech is common during political campaigns. In the past , we covered the false claim that Harris could not run for president because her parents were foreign-born.
